Great coffee. Nice and hot. Staff were also very friendly. This is definitely at the top of my list so far for coffee around this area. On a list where the vast majority are at the bottom, this is saying something! I didn't eat but the food looked good. Nice little seating area on the pavement with a few trees for shade. The street isn't busy so less car fumes to go with your beverage but also easy parking. 😁☕

Funky little cafe with a modern menu. Fresh ingredients served in a rustic and relaxed manner. It cafe has a laid back feel but they take their food and coffee very seriously.

No, not really. Small coffee is tiny and overpriced for size. With an extra shot it should have been very strong in such a thimble sized cup but it was pretty blah blah. Zero personality on the barista who seemed like the boss. 1 extra star for the young guy who did have a personality. Won’t be back.

bankcorner_ voted 6th best cafe in Newcastle 2016, my personal favourite, a great hole in the wall place to grab a coffee, a bite to eat and/or a intimate date over a drink. The staff are fantastic and what they can achieve in they’re limited space is truely inspiring.

What a clatter of noise this morning....plates, crockery things being dropped, loud voices of staff. We all went away with heads pounding....time to look for another favourite spot. This is the second time so unbearable....and we normally love this place!

The most delicious long black in Newcastle. Sexy, velvety crema that is initially subtle but then leaves you feeling like you've had a strong, protective, energetic bear hug from a good mate. That's how caffeine should treat you.
The staff are top notch. Always welcoming, friendly and delightfully hilarious. I love the atmosphere at Bank Corner - the 'nooks & crannies' welcome you into one of the best European cafe experiences outside of Europe. Keep up the great work guys and gals x

The good things. Great building, decor and atmosphere. Staff were pleasant and the coffee was great.
The not so good things. Ordered a coffee and toast with jam for me, all good. My seven year old wanted a bottle of juice which they forgot to give us and I had to ask for. Also for my seven year old I ordered a cheese and ham croissant, we got a chicken and tomato.
Staff were apologetic and fixed the issues but nonetheless, it wasn't THAT busy to be like this.
I'd go back because I think this may have been a one off and small businesses need to be supported.

On a recent trip to Newcastle my family stumbled across Bank Corner, it is truly a gem of a café! The food was delicious and more importantly the service was fantastic, warm and friendly staff made our dinning experience one to remember. I never normally comment on these sort of things but I was so impressed with Bank Corner I felt compelled to do so. I would highly recommended this café.
