Had been here the week before on the wednesday night and had an awesome experience, came tonight (Thursday) to share the experience with other friends but wasn't the same. So we where given a menu and told the special was cheap wings under the impression we could order what ever we like. Once we go up to order all we were told that all they were serving was wings... You had a sign out the front advertising ribs, burgers, etc your website doesn't say wings only, no where in there had said wings only. Pretty disappointing, you had specials on the previous Wednesday but we could order from the regular menu. If your looking for good food I do recommend Soho but do so on the gamble of not being able to order what you'd like.

Went for Lunch with partner and friend, not super busy. We all ordered chicken burgers. 10 minutes later were told there was no chicken, so we reordered beef burgers. We waited an hour for 3 burgers, they were okay burgers but the wait was ridiculous considering how quiet they were. Overheard customers asking for refunds due to waiting an hour for food as well.
Might be the reason for them being so quiet.

I used to come here allot and really enjoy having a drink here. Myself and 3 other people had just seen a show at the civic, walked to the soho for a drink at 10.30 pm on a Saturday night. We couldn’t enter the venue without agreeing to buy a main meal each before for we could purchase a drink? At 10.30pm? In saying this none of my four party were intoxicated, as we had had dinner earlier and just come from the theatre, all well dressed and just looking to have a drink before heading home. Because we refused to purchase food we were denied entry.

We were first time visitors in Newcastle and were super impressed by this city due to the amazing locals and their hospitality. Soho came to the rescue when we were starving at 11.00pm, having followed an incorrect and out of date guide to Newcastle late night eats. We ended up visiting three different places! The food at Soho was fantastic, good value and service exceptional. We were served by a girl called Lily, I believe, and she probably had to be one of the nicest waitresses ever (and we eat out A LOT). Can't wait to come back to try out the dessert! Thank you Soho!

Had my daughter's 21st here. Great night in venue and staff were nice. Don't order platters of food overpriced and not very nice. 40 dollars for a plate (platter) of chips. Cmon are you serious

Went to breakfast here on a Saturday morning. Place was empty. Told we couldn't go upstairs (the best seats) because it wasn't busy enough.
Got coffee and food downstairs. Three coffees came out wrong. Food took forever to come out.
Better places to get breakfast on Darby St.

The perfect place to grab a bite to eat or a cold beer at night. Friendly staff, fresh food and a stylish establishment make Soho on Darby one of the best places to head if want an awesome night out in Newcastle. I can't recommend this place enough!

Ordered three things via UberEATS: the Wild West chicken burger, the Philly burger, and a Pepsi Max.
1) The burgers both had mustard, despite not listing it on the ingredients for them. Luckily my girlfriend is fine with it, but I can't eat it. Not exactly easy to remove a condiment, so it ruined my burger.
2) I got a regular Coke (driver said they didn't have Pepsi Max), which is both not a Pepsi and has all the sugar I was deliberately trying to avoid.
3) When I tried to call to rectify this, the number they listed on their website was reported as disconnected.
4) Not to be too pedantic, but Coke is listed as "Cake" on the UberEATS menu.
Listing things online incorrectly seems to be the Soho way.

Great food and coffee (not to mention affordable prices with good size portions!) , friendly staff, always awesome vibe and tunes. Free pool and cool antique decor. Highly recommend!

Awesome vibe with relaxed atmosphere. Play a game of pool or two (free!) whilst enjoying a delicious coffee or get stuck into a feed and a one of their awesome Bloody Mary’s on their own Quill and Compass Mary Mix!
