Review Cold Rock - Newcastle

Good ice cream but poor customer service. Been here a few times and the girl with blonde hair always makes you feel unwelcome! She’s rude, singing while talking to you and rolling her eyes while giving you no time to decide what you want. Very unpleasant experience.

I know it must get cold working in this shop, but the staff have some unconventional methods of warming up. All power to them however; I was young once. Got some yummy grey looking ice cream; not sure what flavour it was, or if it was suppose to be that colour, but it was pretty mad. Young guy out the back seemed despondent and remarked to his co-workers about wagging school the next day to get a slurpie. One of the workers wasn’t wearing shoes but to be fair, nor was I. Slipped past this joint on my way to the pub once and was stunned to witness two young workers macking on in the window - straight out of a coming of age movie. Although sometimes conduct lacked professionalism, I can’t say Cold Rock has ever failed to entertain me. Overall, not a bad spot, food can sometimes be cold though.

Really delicious and cool to watch them make. Highly recommend the cookie cream loaded shake. Absolutely delicious. Prices are about $6-12

We were contemplating having a scoop here, but as we approached the store we presumed it was closed. Walked passed the window and had the delight of seeing a worker with his hand up a female co workers shirt -_- Walked passed again and saw the same sight. Decided we didn't want them handling our food.

Place not open Several attempts made. Tried calling, could see staff sitting down inside. Don't recommend. Times even stated was open.

Rude Staff. The girl with blonde hair that works here and is there almost every night has a disgusting attitude and rolls her eyes at any request. It is never clean, end up with random flavors of left over ice cream when you get your own order. All the staff hide out the back listen to loud Music and gossip about customers all night long, seems to me like no actual work gets done.

Showed up at 9:30pm, 15 minutes before it said they closed on here, and some boy working there rudely told us that they were shut, as if we were stupid for showing up during their supposed opening hours.

She didn't smash the lollies up properly. Jaffas rolled onto the floor and she didn't replace them. Whole Jaffas were in the icecream. Another time I asked her to smash the crunchies up smaller as there were big chunks, she just looked seemingly not happy before she smashed them up again. So what do I do, not go there, ask her to smash them into little pieces as I'm ordering?
