La Casita Mexican Restaurant - Newcastle - Photo album

Decor is not much to look at, Enrique Iglesias CD on repeat, dirty menus look like they're second-hand from a chain restaurant somewhere. To say expectations were low would be an understatement. But then the staff were friendly, they had a kids highchair available, the enchiladas came with a decent
Took a walk down Beaumont St gazing at the menus and went to La Casita Mexican Restaurant and got the following: Combinado (Combo Plate) (GF) 1 Taco (choice of filling), 1 Enchilada (shredded chicken), 1 Tostada (chipotle chicken). Served with Mexican rice, frijoles and side salad Tasty meal with
Yes the floors are sticky, but this is clearly an authentic Mexican family business. The food is great. We had the fajitas and the flavours were simple, well balanced, and delicious. We picked up takeaway which was ready in only 15 minutes.
Recently visited - Not much to look at and the menus are well loved, but the food was quick and really tasty. There were plenty of delicious vegan options - I had the vege fajitas. Drinks were great and well priced. Nervous after the mixed reviews but happy to have taken the plunge.
Went out for a quiet night by myself. Got the Chalupas and Nachos. Honestly, and i cannot overstate this: they were the best Nachos i have ever eaten. I am a huge nachos fan, and these blew me away. Its a little place, with old menus and pricy food, but worth every cent. Great atmosphere, and the st

This is hands down the worst Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. They didn't have any steak available, there was no mexican flavour on any of the chicken, but there was 1 silver lining. The salsa was FREE...too bad the medium salsa was marinara sauce and the hot salsa was tobasco sauce.
Super tasty food that is quick, fresh and very reasonably price. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good menu selection, will make adjustments where they can for food requirements. One of our favourite local venues.
