Reasonable Indian curries which I thought were alright, but not necessarily something to travel for. $10 lunch deals (incl 1 naan) on weekdays and $15 lunch deals (incl 2 naan) on weekends.

Being the only customers in the restaurant we were given free dessert too, which was a nice touch to send this place to an above average rating.

Wonderful service and hospitality. The cook always makes sure we are satisfied with the meal. We have eaten there and ordered take away, family combo 1 never fails. He was kind enough to let us swap the butter chicken to another main. Perfect!

Delicious food and the best service! I hope people find these guys in the corner or at least give the restaurant a go- don't let all the empty furniture make you second guess. Won't disappoint.

I feel a little sorry for this place. It is stuck in a really uninspiring spot on the end of a group of restaurants, tucked out of the way, I don't think many people notice it's there.  From the Newington Marketplace carpark we walked past 2 Korean restaurants that were packed and down the end this Indian restaurant was completely empty. We usually get Japanese at Newington but this night we felt like Indian, so we thought we'd give it a try. And we were glad we did!

The restaurant lacks ambience, was empty, and the TV playing bollywood out of tinny speakers wasn't really adding to the atmosphere. We took a seat near the window and asked the waitress to turn the TV down which the chef happily did.

We asked the waitress which dishes were Gluten Free as my wife is GF and the head chef came over to our table and told us all dishes with the exception of the breads were GF. Fantastic!

We ordered a Fish Tikka for entrée which was delicious, the fish was cooked perfectly and tender and the dish was large enough to share.

For mains we ordered a Chicken Tikka Masala and a Jalfrezi Chicken. The Chef confirmed how spicy we would like the dishes and we asked for medium. Both dishes were flavoursome and the meats were delicious. The serves were large enough that we had enough left at the end for a takeaway for lunch the next day.

The head chef appeared to be the owner and he was very willing to serve. The dishes were very good and the gluten free menu is a bonus. While the restaurant lacks atmosphere it is clean and they are really making an effort to please. A few more people and the place would seem much more appealing. We will definitely be eating here again and hope a few more locals support the place too.

We came here for dinner on Friday night, we’re very impressed! The restaurant atmosphere could improve with some music but that didn’t bother us. The food was incredible, tasty and spicy. We were served our food within 15 mins of ordering which was impressive. Definitely would recommend to those wanting delicious Indian cuisine. Would absolutely come back!

I get takeaway regularly from Santoor and I have never been let down by the food - always delicious and the meats are very tender. Prices are ridiculously cheap for the quality of good. Tonight I ate in and the food was beautifully presented and tasted even better!

We ordered today some curries, meat and vegetarian, with kashmiri pulao and naam and it was delicious. It's the second time we've ordered and the food was great on both orders.

Decent portions but the flavours are quite similar between curries that are meant to be unique. Also, even though we had the spiciest possible it was still pretty mild. All in all worth a try but nothing that stands out, especially when there are so many other places!
