Unbelievable. Food is out of this world and coffee to die for!
The CV Benny makes you wonder why you haven't had rice for breakfast before. The Japanese hashbrown (Korokke) is so crunchy and the filter coffee is smooth and creamy.
If you wanna try a amazing cafe with the best food made with love it’s definitely the place to go!!!
Had my daughters wedding in the area over the weekend. Called in for breakfast the day after with some friends, the service was excellent and the food was even better. Si on our last day this morning we went back but with 18 others. It was not a problem at all same great service and same great food.
Amazing food, spectacular coffee but most of all great people. Thanks for all Barbara and Alberto 🙏🏻
Love the atmosphere, the guys are great at what they do! Couldn’t recommend more!!
Best coffee I’ve had in Sydney by far. Food is also delicious. Staff are friendly and the service is great. 10/10.
Always exceptional coffee and fabulous food! Go here!!!!
I’m so proud of you both! The dreams do come true, your dedication knows. for both of you and your family.
Great little coffee place. Owner know his stuff and was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed a couple of long blacks.
On our way to palms beach and stopped at this little gem. Serving St Ali coffee, so that was a good start. The menu sounds super delish and both of us couldn't go past the crumbed egg + tuna tartare dish. Highlights: the dish was plentiful and the dressing = divine. The salad was perfectly seasoned - the dressing was perfect amount of sweet/saltiness and didn't overpower the dish. Lowlights: This place would have been perfect, but have to minus 1 point for the service. Although friendly, just too inexperienced for my liking.
Where do I even start..?
AMAZING springs to mind when I think about this little jewel down in Newport. I can honestly say I wouldn't travel an hour for just anyone, but the people and the food at caffeine Villains are the exception.
The food is made by Barb, an incredibly talented chef. Think of absolute classics with a modern twist - all beautifully presented - and that's exactly what you get. I recommend the hail Caesar and the CV Benny - both have that modern touch which makes these guys stick out from all the rest.
Now the coffee! Using St Ali, the barista Alberto treats every cup with the utmost love and care. He elevates himself from others by having a rotating single origin, years of experience and a plethora of different brewing methods. Whether your down with batch or cold brews, aeropress, V60 or just an espresso, you can be sure it's the best one you'll get around.
Anyway - all I can say is this is a place not to be missed, a place that is putting the love and care back into what the hospitality industry has become somewhat lacklustre with. Plus if you're up for a chat, the banter here is tops.
he Caffeine Villains Double Cheeseburger ($16) is a work of art. A beautifully stacked dish of juicy double beef patties and double melted cheese, CHEESE SAUCE, bacon, onions, pickles, lettuce, tomato sauce and mustard in a soft charcoal milk bun. This burger didn’t really need the lettuce but I do really appreciate that there’s only a small portion of it. This burger was saucy but not too messy and just packed and layered with great flavours. Umami galore yo! I would smash this again for sure! For some chips on the side, just add $2.
In Short: Caffeine Villains Espresso Bar is a little gem of a cafe in Newport. A husband and wife team who draw on their Italian and Philippine heritage to inject a bit of Asia and the Mediterranean into each dish. Coffee is handled expertly. Friendly faces and a relaxed space just across the road from the beach.
This place is amazing. It has a fantastic vibe and the couple who run the place are super friendly. I've come here multiple times and here is why.
The food is not only delicious but it is beautiful to look at. Modern twists to your usual breakfast and lunches.
The granola for the morning is probably the prettiest thing I've ever eaten, and delicious to eat, I literally feel like I've burned calories eating it 😂
The lunch menu is what hits the spot though, the katsu burger is ridiculous. It's got some of the most tender chicken I've ever eaten
And if you are really hungry try the villainous pig, a beautiful crispy pork baguette with subtle chilli hits . Drooling just thinking about it.
The coffee is professionally made without fault. Using st Ali beans you can tell the barista has experience of his beans
Definitely a 5/5
Get in there
What isn’t there to love about Caffeine Villains Espresso Bar? It’s tucked inside a little arcade across the road from the beach which makes it the perfect little hide-away.
When you first walk towards the entrance, you will see the sexy white coffee machine with the friendly barista behind the bar. I’m not a coffee drinker but will definitely treat myself to a sneaky flat white from Caffeine Villains.
But for me, the kitchen is where the magic happens. Dish after dish continues to impress me and leave me wanting to try the rest of the menu. The first thing I tried was the CV Benny. A fusion between a eggs benedict and a pork adobo - a classic Filipino dish. The subtle flavours work beautifully. But as my partner and I are fighting over the last bite of the CV Benny, I’m secretly eyeing up his chicken katsu burger on a charcoal bun. It looked amazing and tasted even better. The generous piece of chicken katsu was juicy and succulent and topped with the refreshing slaw. It was devine.
I’ve since been back and tried their Wholesome Bowl and their beef burger. Both of which were knock-your-socks-off yummy.
If you’re in the area and even if you’re not, you should definitely drop by.
