I've been coming here regularly for over a year. I love the super friendly staff with their awesome service. All their food is amazing, especially the Pho! Can't recommend strongly enough!!

Excellent fresh tasty food. Very thoughtful staff catered for our dietary requirements and doubled checked some of the ingredients with us before cooking. I felt cared and catered for. I think this is my new favourite restaurant.
Dropped in for a pre enmore theatre show snack and blew off the support to keep ordering more food. The Tamarind Duck chef special was exquisite. All five dishes ordered were sublime.
Fantastic food and very warm welcoming staff. Best Vietnamese I've had in Sydney and not too pricey either.

Within half an hour of arrival, the restaurant was full but food was still arriving at tables without delay. Entrees revolve around spring rolls with various fillings but we looked past the rolls and opted for Sugarcane Prawns ($10.80) and Crispy Pancake ($14.90). The latter took us by surprise as it was folded in half and very crunchy. We could taste several pieces of sliced duck buried underneath mungbeans and other vegetables.
We had a lovely meal at Black Ginger. The food was delicious and the ingredients were so fresh. The service was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!
Pleasant and easy with particularly friendly service, Black Ginger has a nice feeling of being your neighbourhood Vietnamese restaurant. The menu is pretty standard in terms of the usual hits: banana blossom salad, various duck dishes, spicy salads, pho, shaken beef, chicken curry. I’m not sure there was anything that stood out as unusual.
I had dinner there last night and had a great meal The staff were attentive and friendly The food was delicious and flavoursome I will be back!! Please could you have cider on the drinks menu thanks!!!
Love this restaurant & its fresh, clean flavours, definitely a higher quality than most in the Enmore road area. These guys care. Favorites this year are the mains, Shaken Beef & Steamed Barramundi but I must admit when I need comfort food I go straight to the Beef Cari :).
Wandered in here after fleeing from the highly priced menu & braying crowds at Hartsyard. Ended up having a good & reasonably priced meal.
Stuck to the standards - Viet pancake, Black Ginger Spring Rolls, sugercane prawn vermicelli salad - all nicely done. Friendly & attentive staff. Would certainly come again if in this area.
Going to the chiro is a good excuse to eat on Enmore road. Not that is too far away, but it’s nice to have a legitimate excuse. That, and catch up with a friend who lives in the neighbourhood. My eyes were initially set on The Stinking Bishops but it was booked out. We walked to the next block with no Plan B in mind, and stumbled across Black Ginger. Vietnamese is always a good option for us, and this was a new restaurant for all of us.
I can't believe the average score of this place! I really thought this is a Thai restaurant,I'm sort of right!

Ok I ordered stuff I usually don't which was a salmon salad and tofu crispy pancake
The salmon salad the flavours reminded me of Vietnam it was great
My crispy pancake was nice also but difficult to eat as nothing stuck to each other
The people I was with enjoyed what they ordered also
Prices are what I expected from a new ish restaurant and portion sizes are bigger than expected
Service was friendly and attentive,I dropped my fork and they just came and replaced it without asking

Very delicious food and good friendly service. Would definitely come back. Lemongrass chicken is fantastic, as well as the pho roll. Highly recommended.
Just had dinner here, the Black Ginger spring rolls are absolutely delicious, whilst the duck tamarind and barramundi were very good on a bed of what seemed like cabbage. The staff here are lovely, being polite and cheerful. Also had a very good phin coffee and a fresh coconut
Super tasty and fresh Viet Resturant. A simple yet neat fit-out that lets the food speak for itself. The staff are amazing here, not to mention the fresh food! Personal favourite is the San Choy bow. Highly recommended this Resturant!

This place is new on Emmore Rd, I usually go to my favourite pho place in Marrrickville every second weekend but today I decided to try Black Ginger and was not disappointed. The broth is tasty and not too heavily flavoured, the beef was good quality and served rare. Service is good and the staff are so polite. I'll be back to try other dishes soon!
