Review Bella Brutta - Newtown

They do pizza incredibly well via the impressive wood fired oven situated at the heart of this fine establishment. Best seat in the house on a cold winter's day. The staff do an amazing job in service with a smile. The highlight here is the pepperoni pizza. Reminds me of the famous pizzas talked about from New Haven (CT) as they call it an a'pizza, where the pizza is not burnt, it's charred. Absolutely delicious. Fresh toppings made by an artisan and you know he knows his pizza. The other pizza places could do with a visit to learn.

The Clam Pizza was the best ever pizza I've had and I've had a lot of pizzas in my lifetime 😅 Must try. All Pizza was thin which is great and entrees were delicious too. The Pumpkin and cabbage salad was very tasty. Will be back for more.

The octopus dish and pepperoni pizza were definitely the highlights. Probably one of the best octopus dishes I’ve had! The potato pizza was heavy (as it sounds) and I wished I had ordered a different one, but was still nicely flavored and fun to try. I’ll be back to try the clam pizza for sure.

Amazing experience with absolutely stunning dishes. The clam pizza was so savoury and delicious we came back twice for it in the same week. Every dish we had was very well thought out and made of very high quality ingredients. Customer service was also very good both times we were there. Will definitely be back!

Outstanding Italian flavours served with a modern twist. Backed up by wonderful service. Walked out with a full belly and it was only $40 per head for a high quality meal. Couldn’t recommend higher.

Bella Brutta is often fully booked out for a reason. Arguably one of the best pizzas to be had outside Naples. Their entrees and salads are next level made from the freshest ingredients. The citrus salad was a standout dish as was the wood fired leek special. A must visit and worth going out of your way for!

One of the best pizzas in Sydney if not the best! Went to bed still thinking about the pizza… Friendly service and the food came out nice and quick. The base of the pizza was thin, the outer edges chewy and thick. My favorite was the potato pizza with added guanciale. You can watch them mix the dough right in front of you before putting it into the wood fired oven. The caponata was also a perfect non-carby appetizer and the tiramisu was delicious as well - had a lovely biscuit to cream ratio. Drinks were also delicious - highly recommend the Hugo’s elderflower spritz or passion fruit spritz.

I’ve been waiting to visit this place for a long time now and I have to say that this place is AMAZING. The sourdough & butter with Burrata was delicious. The sourdough was not hard at all and you could tell that it was fresh. The burrata also had mandarin on it which made it quite unique in its flavors. A must try entree. We had the margarita pizza for mains and it was really good as well. I recommend trying it with the chili oil. Lastly, we got the ricotta cannoli for dessert. These people really know what they are doing and the filling was super delicious. The service was also really good. They asked us about our dietary requirements and continuously made sure that everything was okay. Super friendly staff and good vibes. I will definitely be back.
