Best cafe in Sydney by far! I've never received such wholesome personal service from staff who are so passionate and genuinely love their job and care for the quality produce they are serving. It feels like you are being served by one big family.
The vibe is always upbeat and happy, the owners always make an effort to say hi and chat to you and make you feel welcome (even though they are super busy trying to balance multiple tasks). The layout is super cool and always fresh with new artwork. Don't even get me started on the menu!!
So grab yourself one of their famous Reuben sandwiches (it's off the charts) and plant yourself out the back with a glass of orange wine on a Saturday or Sunday arvo, as there are fewer finer pleasures in this rat race city than 212 Blu in Newie! X

My favourite cafe in Newtown. The staff are lovely the food is excellent and the coffee is very very good. 11/10 would recommend.
Love this place. Staff are friendly, food and coffee are fab and they are very accommodating (and loving) to hounds. Highly recommend.
Definitely one of the best breakfast places in Newtown. All options are delicious ( I think I've tried them all) coffee is always perfect, great milk varieties.. macadamia, almond etc
Let's not forget the homemade sodas!! Vanilla is my favorite.. I really could go on... Yum!
Great cafe - great food, good service, nice vibe. They need to bring back the sloppy joe though - that was the best!
Food - on point
Cawfee - brewed to perfection
Staff - bloody rippers
Cool place, cool vibes and the only cafe i come to when in Sydney!!
Sydney needs more people like the crew at 212 Blu! I can't say enough good things about them. As one of the featured artists in their Third Wednesdays shows, they have given me an opportunity to get my work in front of loads of people. The effort they have gone to to get the show up and running has been unreal and the show opening night was totally rad - not something I'll forget any time soon. A deadset bunch of legends that genuinely cares about supporting local artists. Thank you!
Thank you for amazing coffee, great service and being understanding when I apologies for my unwashed keep cup (it was from half an hour earlier)!
10/10 coffee, food and service. An awesome way to start the day. Mmmm bacon!
Finally find a place who doesn't serve some hot water flavor coffee when you ask for a long black... so happy I find you. Amazing coffee ♥
A bloody ripper LB! As someone who works in hospitality I felt the service was exceptional considering how popular they are. Will return for quality beans and lovely people.
Great atmosphere! Food is amazing
Favorite local in Newtown. Great coffee and friendly staff.
Best Coffee in Newtown/Sydney.... i usually drive from bondi each morning just to get my Coffee from here... because thats how good it is.
Best! This cafe offers 5-star chats. Especially girl from New Zealand (we <3 you) who has to put on Australian accent so everyone can understand you. We feel ya gal! Choice.
Such a wonderful place. Best smashed avo in Sydney in my opinion! Toast always not over cooked and smashed av is so flavourful. Highly recommend.
Lovely little cafe to enjoy breakfast . Enjoyed the great service decor and ambience. Caramelised banana bread with ricotta and honey was delicious. Iced latte not to my taste with its sour notes. Tasty Egyptian iced tea
Loved this cafe, coffee was epic and so was the food, they have a cute little courtyard. will definitely be going back for the cocktails and waffles.
A friend suggested their coffee. Quite good, but I'm not professional in coffee, taste ok. Many recommend their avo on toast. I had one, just so so. Not very impressive.
Amazing coffee, friendly staff and consistently good food. This cafe suppsets local artists and stocks a superb selection of liquor. I'd highly reccomend tjeor home made soft drinks and their avo on toast. Newtowns Best!
The breakfast menu is a bit different. Hearty, a bit salty with Mediterranean touch.
I tried the 212 breakfast board and the sloppy joe. Really like the grilled hallumi and the wyagu mince. But the friend who shared with me said the mince was kind of odd to be eaten during breakfast. So it is really something depend on person I guess.
I love the coffee here and very interesting internal decoration
This cafe is very inviting with a great modern hip design.
The staff are friendly and greet you with a smile that's real. Beautiful coffee that gives you w good kick for the day!
We just ate here, I had the sloppy joe which was very much full of flavour and would definitely order this again. The red juice I ordered as a beverage was tasty but kind of tasted like a sweet pulpy cordial. My partner had the chicken sandwich which was pre toasted and served cold, it was OK... Tasty enough but bland in comparison to my sloppy joe. The service was good. The only other point was the music that was playing was kind of depressing and the girls on the table next to us commented on it also.
Okay, so if you're looking for flavor and fulfillment, visit this Newtown cafe'. Initially visiting, it instantly reminded me of Melbourne. We had to write a well deserved review. Flavour is written all over their menu.
Everything on the menu is delicious, yes we have been there that many times. Tells you something eh'
Nice drop-in snacky place (for me anyway.) Prompt cheerful service which ensures return business.
Hidden Gem. Fantastic coffee, simple yet skillfully prepared, quality food. Hidden away from the hustle and bustle of King street, this little gem is brilliant and unique
Zing Juice. Pineapple, ginger, mint & pear
Love this place. Probably the best coffee in Sydney. Great selection of food and treats.. I go back weekly for my fix
Small bites coffee place. This place is really more of a coffee shop. There is no real kitchen to speak of so don't go expecting full breakfast with sides etc - only simple items can be prepared. Had the special of the croque madame - could see the egg being fried on the little griller they have - tasted OK. They also had a cabinet with sweet items that they source, some from local producers. Had one - again, tasted OK but nothing extraordinary. A change up from their big competition up the road in Australia Street but they'll need to pull out something more to pull the crowds away.
This Melbourne girl-recently turned Newtown resident has finally found her favourite coffee in Sydney. Top stuff.
