Absolutely amazing!!! Chicken panang curry is the best!! The massaman is brilliant also! The staff in the Newtown store are excellent!!!!
IT IS AWESOMMMEEEEEEEEEE!!
**Update**
I've been to "it's time for Thai" a few times now. They consistently impress me. I ordered the same massaman duck curry. It was very sweet. I wish that they would have taken on my feedback about making it easier to eat.... I'll order something else next time.
I came here with my friends on a Friday evening around 8 pm and it was completely packed! We have been here before, and all enjoyed our dishes. I ordered a duck curry with roti. I was worried that it was going to be too spicy, however the amount of spice was just right. The duck meat was tender and full of flavour. The only criticism I have is that the dish was difficult to eat with the spoon and fork given. The duck meat was on the bone and was therefore hard to get off using the utensils provided. Nevertheless, I will be back for more.
Food: 8/10
Ambience: 8/10
Service: 7/10
Nice interior design (different from most of the other Thai restaurants on King Street) with plants and warm lightings. The Thai milk tea was pretty amazing (Extra $1 for a scoop of ice cream on top, however it doesn’t taste as good as expected, below-average bland vanilla flavour). Love the duck noodle soup as it was flavourful and hearty for a winter night. Pad Kee Mao (medium spicy) could be a bit sweeter but overall a decent choice. Would be great if they can choose reusable cutlery instead as the dishes were for eat-in.
The best Tom Yam soup in Sydney I ever had so far. The spice level is just perfect 👌🏽 The good amount of seafood/prawns is in there too. Really loved it!
Ordered from Deliveroo and it was delivered promptly.
Good range of your standard Thai dishes and went with Curry Puffs as well as Pad See Ew with my option to add Duck to it. The curry puffs were the soft pastry variety which I enjoyed with a nice vegetable mix. The noodle dish had enough duck pieces and tasty mix of noodles, egg, and vegetables.
really like the curry here. We ordered the green curry with chicken and red curry with duck. It is tasty, especially with the rotti. Great to have a try here.and it is cheap
I've read some reviews for this restaurant. And there's a lot polarisation in between. Those who like the restaurant typically gives 5.0, while some negative comments give 1.0
This is not a famous restaurant in Newtown, but it is a good Thai restaurant. The food they offered is not cheap, starting from $14. However I like the atmosphere. It's much better than other Thai restaurants.
{BBQ Chicken} is my favourite. Large in quantity and nice in taste.
{BBQ Beef} is quite the opposite. The beef was cut in large pieces and tastes a bit hard.
The menu looks pretty nice. There're many options are available.
Service might be the major problem. No one greeted us and we found a table by ourselves.
Great food, especially loved the wonton noodle soup. Clean and welcoming restaurant, and the owner is so kind and friendly. Also love that this restaurant sponsors many local community programs. Will definitely be back when in NSW again.
Have been here many times, the foods are always tasty :) my favorite is the Pad Thai (beef) and the Thai Green Fried Rice. I really hope that they will add the Thai Green Tea drink on their menu as it is my favorite thai drink :)
Some waiters do not really have a welcoming face but they are actually pretty kind and helpful, they remember me on my 3rd visit although I come there maybe just once a month. Definitely gonna come to this place again!
Love this restaurant - situated in the heart of Newtown, it is by far the best Thai restaurant I've had in Sydney! As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by warm and friendly staff.
I highly recommend their papaya salad, pad Thai, BBQ chicken, curries and fried fish dishes. In fact, all of their dishes are mouth-wateringly good!
Don't forget to order their iced milk tea frappe - never had anything so refreshing!
It’s time for thai!! Always my fave restaurant to eat with friends and family. Love their pad thai and crispy fried chicken. And today Is my first time had the sticky rice with mango dessert. A must try dessert and you wont regret it to try!
One of the best Thai restaurant in Sydney
Love their Pad Thai with chicken & sticky rice with mango. I am very happy to go there every week.
I had lunch here today with my son and their food is delicious and portions are quite large! I love the crispy roti and satay stir fry and their coffee is decent too!
It's got the most amazing ambience, and the portions are huge. And the food is ridiculously delicious! I'm sucker for Thai and this wun is winning my list
Very love their papaya salad with garlic & pepper chicken. All their dishes are in good portion with reasonable price and don't forget to have a mango with sticky rice while in season.
There are so many Thai restaurants on King St in Newtown, but It’s Time for Thai brings along something different, serving Halal Thai dishes at reasonable prices.
I’m a regular dinner and my absolute favorites are their pad thai and satay stir fry dishes. The satay stir fry with tofu and vegetables remind me of Indonesian gado gado, yummy! They also serve some decent barista coffee too!
Will be coming back again and again!
