Went here for breakfast on a Groupon. I ordered the avo on toast and a mint tea and my partner ordered the French toast and a cappuccino. Both meals were large BUT the French toast was gigantic! Quality produce and designer meals were very nice and displayed/presented well too. The avo on toast had a lot of pomegranate, tomato’s, avo and herbs on it - this made just the one slice enough to be a full meal. It was very tasty! The mint tea was covered in star anise, cinnamon and lemon which gave a nice kick to the drink however I think serving it in a glass like a iced tea was a bit silly for a hot beverage. The French toast was massive, it was surrounded with strawberries and blueberries, some apple and lots of pistachios. My partner loved the meal but couldn’t get through half of it! He also ordered a side of bacon but it wasn’t that crispy(all depends how you like your bacon really) The cap was quite tasty and the atmosphere/decor was very relaxed. Lots of vegan/vegetarian options if required. Probs be back!

Score of 4.5 would be given if half marks still in play. Came here for some brunch and located closer towards the city side of Newtown on King Street. We were quickly seated and water brought to the table. Service was nice.
Started off with some freshly squeezed juices. A refreshing start for this warm day. We had an Orange Juice and the Pineapple Pop (apple, pineapple, lemon and mint). Both types of drinks hit the spot.
The portion sizes are large. I had the Croquettes which had a gooey corn and fetta interior with a crisp exterior surrounded by a tomato sauce. Spinach and a poached egg finished the dish off. I also got the Chicken Sausage as a side too. The Zucchini Breakfast consisted of two zucchini fritters, smoked salmon, poached egg with citrus hollandaise, and a garden salad. Lots of delicious items on there and more than enough to even share if you’re small eaters. Other dish had was Cheese And Chives Scramble Egg. Chose Turkish bread as the accompaniment. To make it more filling also got the Chicken Sausage. The meals were tasty and very filling.
Finished off with a Mocha and it was a nice blend.
We had two black burger combo dishes. Lamb for me. It was good. The fries were done a bit differently from other places - they were reasonably good too.

Quite fresh with light mongo&orange flavour, I simply don’t hate it.
4.5/5 chilli octopus 🐙 salad
Looks simple but actually really filling and full of ingredients! Most important it’s tasty! 😋 they put lots of greens, and even orange in the dish, of course with well-stewed octopus! Amazing
4/5 toast with smashed avocado

I popped in here on a rainy day because it looked really funky. I got my usual strong decaf cap take away. The service was good. The coffee strong.
The only thing is that the small coffee is tiny. I'm not sure it's even 330ml and it's $4.50. I didn't notice this when I paid otherwise I won't have bought it. Not a good value exchange.
A friend first brought me to Double Barrel in 2019, and since then I’ve been hooked! I’m a regular because the food is delicious and beautifully presented, the coffee is just lovely, the atmosphere is very chill, and the staff are so friendly.
Always attentive, they really strive to provide the best experience. The owner, Jason, is wonderful to chat with and so hard-working. I see no reason not to return week after week and often bring my friends!
Eggs benny is my favourite dish and the coffee really is superb. Try Raspberry Candy sometime!
We were happy with this cafe and its service, friendly and very warm. The food was presented well and very pretty. We ordered Acai Bowl and Avo Breakfast and those food were delicious and refreshing. They also serve the best coffee in the town. I surely will come back again.

I really enjoy this cafe! Super friendly and attentive service, lovely atmosphere and of course; great coffee! There’s a decent food offering accompanied by baked goods. Trendy little spot and worth stopping by if you’re in the area.
I love this cafe just two blocks from my house. Consistently awesome service and delicious food. I was sad to see my cheesy chive scrambled eggs off the menu but was excited to try the Seta omelette yesterday, absolutely loved it, and especially the side salad of rocket, apple and crasins, what a heavenly combination 😋
Rewarded myself an iced latte on a hot summers day. Definitely worth it, not one of those drinks overloaded with dairy and sugar, right amount of milk. ONA beans is a big bonus. I'll definitely return.
