Absolute stunner of a meal. I was scrolling through my phone and remember having this last year. It was one of my first Turkish meals I’ve had- authentic, generous portion and well seasoned. Would love to visit this place again 🥰

Pashas is by far one of the best joints in all of Sydney. Their mouth watering meze platter with a variety of options always leaves me craving for more. In addition to their diversity of meat and vegan options, Pashas has also gluten free options. Love coming here!
Been here twice now. Food is excellent; staff are friendly and accommodating; the seating and vibe is homely and intimate. Very suitable for a date or with family.
Order anything on the menu! Would come back even if it was just for takeaway.

Authentic Turkish Cuisine
I visited this restaurant after recommendation from my sister in law who loved the meals. It is located at the end of Newtown (if you coming from the City CBD) in a small restaurant. Though I have never visited Turkey, when I stepped in this restaurant, I felt like I was in Turkey. The Atmosphere is perfect with low Turkish music playing in the background.
Service – Perfect. I couldn’t fault the service. On the Thursday night that we visited, there was one male waiter working. He was very nice and very helpful. It was awesome that he had a accent because it just made the experience more authentic.
Food – Delicious. I’ve previously had Middle Eastern cuisine; however this was different from others. There was so much herbs and flavour in the meat, it was perfect. The lamb was not too hard, or too chewy or too dry, it was just perfect. The rice and yoghurt (depending on what dish you get) complemented it very well.
We had this entrée which I cannot recall the exact name however I know it was Burek. Man oh Man, what an entrée. It was very nice and very light.
Value – Being in Newtown and near the Sydney CBD, I think for the location the prices are fair. Having said this, for the taste of the food, I think the price is fair.
Atmosphere – From the moment you step in, it’s like you are visiting Istanbul. The lighting fixtures stand out the most and with the traditional tea pot all around, makes the atmosphere all the more worthwhile. The restaurant was quite the date we visited it, however I would like to go again on a Saturday night because I can only imagine the atmosphere being lively.
Romance – if you sit on the cushions, I think it may be a little romantic, however it all depends on the taste of the couple… personally I would not take my partner here for a romantic dinner to celebrate e.g. an anniversary. However would come back here any day if it was a casual dinner or lunch.
What I love about this place is how lively it is. Belly dancers, friendly staff, beautiful interior decor and exquisite food, Pasha’s really delivers the best Turkish food in Newtown. Established since 1975, Pasha’s has an enormous selection of food and mains that will keep you coming for more. It is truly an unforgettable dining experience!
Loved the authenticity of this place. The drinks & the food & the music, all of it was lovely. Felt like I was back in my trip to turkey.
The service was exquisite. I tried the Turkish kenafeh for the first time and it was quite a different experience compared to the Lebanese one.
We've been seeing this restaurant on our journeys to and from Newtown's other restaurants and decided to try it out on a pleasant Friday night. The seating was split between tables and chairs, as well as a more traditional turkish seating (ottomans type sofas and a low table) Rather than ordering entrees, we ordered a Imam Bayidli, while I downed a Ayran, also known as Doogh, a concoction of yoghurt, water and salt. The Imam Bayidli was simply stupendous in its taste, with my wife and I fighting over sharing the side serving of Almond Rice. However, having tasted Doogh at Shiraz Authentic Persian Restaurant in the Gold Coast, I must admit the Pasha's Ayran was strictly OK. The night was topped off with a belly dancer performance in the restaurant. All in all, a treat for the senses!
Very pleasant experience. Excellent interior. Staff were too busy to attend to our dessert. But all the other food was excellent and a cultural experience. Entre and Mains were commendable. Unfortunately for dessert we crossed the road and resorted another turkish place.

Stop here on Sunday evening for dinner. The place is very welcoming and has a great feel. Staff was very helpful. We ordered off the vegetarian menu and I would have to say it's was one of the best meals I've ever had. High recommend the stuff zucchini & the stuff eggplant. Defiantly will come back.
Pasha is the best Turkish restaurant I have ever been. Coming from that part of the world I appreciate the food and know when it's authentic. Pasha has an amazing colorful interior, friendly staff that are always smiling and very attentive. If you go for banquet there is ALOT of food, normally difficult to finish it all. Fresh ingredients and nicely presented. Finished off with a Turkish coffee and Turkish delight.
The only negative would be the music and entertainment if you are there to catch up with friends and have a lot to talk about. When the belly dancer comes in , the music will be so loud that you can hardly hear even by screaming. But it's quite entertaining.

One of my favourite Turkish restaurants after so many years, with each visit getting better & better. Traditional decor & food with a vibrant & young atmosphere & take on the food, the restaurant is also ethical with its use of organic, local produce. Whatever you order will be delicious & beautiful when it lands on the table. Personal favourites are the generous 6 dip platter served with warm Turkish bread, panfried zucchini, lady fingers or borek with crispy pastry encasing delicious cheesy centres, meatballs & shrimps raki. The chargrilled shish are a must & accompany it with one of the beautiful refreshing salads is perfect. Desserts can also not be missed especially the knafeh & baklava, perfect with a fragrant Turkish apple tea or strong Turkish coffee.

Good food, good fun & good vibes as you are transported to a small taste of Turkey here. There is belly dancing for entertainment on Friday & Saturday nights when the place is filled with groups & parties, perfect for a few laughs & embarrassments when you are being dragged up to dance. The food is generous just like how it would be on a Turkish household & the decor & the option of sitting on cushions on the floor makes the place that bit more authentic. Food is tasty especially the chargrilled meats, village meatballs, salad & knafeh desserts. Byo wine makes it a bonus for groups but the traditional yogurt drink is also worth a try as well as Turkish coffee or mint tea.
Left this restaurant with a food hangover that I will tell my future grandchildren about. Felt like I was in Istanbul, except nobody was trying to sell me a rug
I had a friends birthday dinner here and got the $40 banquet. The entree started with dips and bread and pomegranate salad, the bread kept on coming out and a mixture of capicium, hummous and tezeki. Next up was rice and chicken and lamb kababs and beef. To top off the night we had a female belly dancer come to the table. Ended up with apple tea and baklava and Turkish delight and apple and oranges. All in all a very entertainment night out.
My favourite restaurant. Food is so beautifully presented and tastes incredible. A must visit!!! My favourite dish is the Manti and Sujuk! 100% satisfied. The only thing is that it is a little overpriced.
A couple of colleagues and I have discovered Pasha's Turkish Restaurant over a year ago. Growing up in Turkey made my expectations high before dining at this restaurant. As soon as we stepped in, I felt like I was back in Turkey due to absolutely amazing ambience and decorations. The waiters were very attentive and helpful in catering our unique needs and requirements. Each meal has its own unique taste and flavour. Pasha's has become one of our firm favourites ever since! Definitely recommended!
A wonderful Turkish restaurant complete with belly dancing, the decor really adds to the great Turkish atmosphere. The food is excellent and so is the service. We both really enjoyed having dinner here. Highly recommended.
Great food, great atmosphere. Definitely recommend the Mix dips, sigara borek and vine leaves as an entree following with the Yogurtlu Kebab as a main. Felt like i was back in Turkey. Definitely finish your visit with the traditional Kunefe. Absolutely love this place and always enjoy myself everytime i visit.

We ordered a banquet for two people and there was just the right amount of food. Delicious meat and sides! I loved the salad that had the pomegranate in it and the lady fingers! Absolutely delicious.Â
Our waitress was very stressed and that came through in her service. I felt bad for her because I felt like anyone would have been stressed manning that many tables by themselves on such a busy night. However, I would still highly recommend this restaurant.
Went here with a group of friends for Turkish breakfast. Such a good experience, beautiful decor and it was very fun and social having a table full of food to share around, rather than the normal eggs Benny & cappucino breakie. Our waiter was very polite and attentive and very knowledgable about the history of the restaurant and of Turkish culture and heritage.
Something that’s still relatively new to Pasha’s is the Bosphorus Style breakfast they put on every Sunday from 9am to 2pm. For $30 you can partake in some a.m. feasting that’s bound to make you skip lunch.
Excellent. Had a fantastic meal here. Ordered off the menu and shared 3 entrees and one main between two of us. Particularly loved the borek and the main which was a lamb dish with eggplant and capsicum. Our waiter Oscar was very attentive and recommended some great dishes. Thanks Oscar!
Whilst enjoying our mixed grill, the music suddenly became quite loud, attracting a lot of attention. A beautiful female belly dancer came twirling into the middle of the dining area, showing off her graceful moves to the upbeat music. Wow, those body isolation moves she performed were done so well! Damn, wished I could do that - I did some belly dancing lessons in the past but no way am I anywhere near such level. How does she do that tummy ripple?? As part of the evening's entertainment, the belly dancer would invite a few guests to join her on the floor. One young chap was particularly eager to take on the challenge, bewildering the belly dancer with his more Polynesian dance style moves - it was funny watching their dance showdown (I got it on video!). Several others tried their best to follow the dancer's moves and all received applause for their participation from the crowd.

Delicioussss. I was there with group of my friends last Saturday, We had banquet for whole group; dips with Turkish bread were to die for, I also liked lamb sis very much...Staff were very friendly; when I asked for more dips, manager directly send us one more plate of dips with Turkish bread.

Belly dancer was an eye full!. Came here on a recommendation of a friend. Had the $40 banquet which came with delicious dips and warm Turkish bread. Only thing missing from the dips was a traditional hummous which you normally see at Turkish places. The carrot dip was delicious. I could have just eaten bread and dips all night!
The pan fried zucchini was tasty too. Didn't see any pomegranate in the salad as advertised in the menu but it was still tasty. The meat platter was large and the lamb and chicken skewers were tasty with the dish of dips we kept. Waiters wanted to clear our entrees but we asked to keep one of the dip dishes which went very well with the meat as skewers can be a bit dry on their own.
The belly dancer entered to loud music and entertained the diners and got some people up to dance with her which was fun to watch.
The cushion seating is a novelty but not that comfy being so low down so I would recommend booking a standard table.
Dessert was too sweet for me and some of my friends. Baclava and Turkish delight with apple tea that had a lot of sugar in it. I wasn't a fan.

Delightfully decorated - really lovely atmosphere. The place has a great vibe and the food is excellent and plentiful. You almost don't need a starter but that would be a shame as its all very tasty! We had the 'dip' platter (I'm sure it has a better name) quite extensive and priced accordingly but with a big variety of spicy & not so spicy salsa/dips. Loved the babaganous and the spinach.
The sis - either chicken or lamb was great. Preferred the yoghurt lamb.
We were there as part of a big group on a Thursday night and everyone was satisfied, satiated and happy!

Great night out. We were supposed to go to Bloodwood on Saturday night but after being told we would have to wait for 1.5 hours we stumbled on Pasha's and decided to give it a go. I was a little bit dubious but we ended up having a great night there. The food was actually fantastic. We didn't really know what to order so got the $40 banquet each. That was a great option as there was a bit of everything and plenty of it! the dips were beautiful, the bread was perfectly toasted, the grilled aubergine and courgette are sensational and then they bring the main course! Such a massive plate of lamb, beef and chicken. the apple tea was lovely and I had never had baklava before....yum. The service was friendly although don't expect things too quickly on a Saturday night - they were pretty rammed and the poor staff were having to literally run from one end of the restaurant to the other. We were more than happy to take our time though so not an issue for us. Ooh there was some belly dancing too - we felt like we'd popped to Turkey for the evening!
Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a fun and informal catch up with friends.

There is a belly dance that complements the experience. However, don't expect too much from this part of the show. It is really fast.. only a few minutes (at least on Fridays) - they should make 2 x 10min show in a night or a bit longer (eg. at least 20 mins)
If you don't know what to order, you can go on the Selection of Dips for entrance and Iogurt Kebab for main..

Don't forget to try the desert: Homemade Balaklava. Simply delicious!

Tasty turkish. I have been to Pasha's twice now and both experiences have been great. The first time i had the banquet for $40 which was real value for money. Make sure that you are very hungry as the banquet includes a about four dips, salads, vine leaves and a variety of grilled meats, followed by baclava and turkish coffee.
The visited the restaurant again this week and knew i wasnt hungry enough for the banquet so decided to start with the Pacanga Borek for entree. It is shallow fried Turkish pastry stuffed with Ottoman style pastrami and kashar cheese paned with breadcrumbs, it is very tasty and good way to start dinner. For mains we got Chicken Topkapi -Chicken breast stuffed with rice flavoured with diced mushroom, current, pine nut and cinnamon. Served with home style fried potatoes, spoon salad and Riesling glaze. Stuffed Cabbage Roll with Fresh Herb Marinated Lamb Cutlets - Lamb cutlets marinated with fresh thyme served with stuffed cabbage roll, fresh herbs and spices; sided with garlic tomato sauce and mint yoghurt.The chicken was flavoursome and was a tomato based sauce, this was a large meal and i had to take the second piece of chicken home which the staff were happy to wrap up for me. The lamb cutlets were perfectly cooked and there were four cutlets in the dish and a slice of lemon to squeeze over the top which complimented the dish nicely. The mains were a nice alternative as ive had the meat skewers a few times at turkish restaurants. The restaurant is also in the Entertainment book so i received 25% of the bill. Great place if you are hungry and also good birthday location.
Lived just around the corner for more than a year now and hadn't tried pashas until tonight. We were impressed! Hommus with pastimes, prawns in raki, meatballs w bean salad and lamb sis w pilaf and spoon salad were all fantastic. The service was friendly and the restaurant very comfy. Even the $6 a glass red was alright! Our new local favourite

Deeelicious. We had the banquet, and oh my god, so much food! We were full after just the entrees, which were amazing. The grilled zucchini was stellar and the dips and turkish bread were sooooo good. Wasn't a fan of the turkish coffee, but oooh baby the turkish delight was incredible.
Would definitely go again, though would probably get a little less food!
WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE. Well, having read the other reviews I have to say - it was FANTASTIC! Have never eaten Turkish food before. We had the banquet for $35 per head less our 25%. Cost for two people was $52.50. The food was plentiful and absolutely delicious and filling. The belly dancer was stunning and the staff were the best I've seen in such a long long time. I was genuinely thrilled and loved meeting the owner who came to the table to check regularly. We had the Mezza plate, potato salad, eggplant with tomatoes and capsicum - all chargrilled. The shishkebabs were chargrilled chicken and lamb with a meatball kofta. Turkish bread was fresh and unlimited. Dessert was baklava and hot apple tea. It was simply terrific! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
