Review The Front Room - Newtown

The Front Room Cafe is one of many cafes in Newtown which we didn't try before. Our orders were prepared very quickly and they were delicious as well as very generously portioned. Coffee was very good and we enjoyed the whole experience very much, excellent breakfast. Hope to visit again soon so we can try different foods..

Mushroom dish and açai bowl had large portions with fresh ingredients. Great coffee and friendly staff. Incredibly reasonable prices.

the brekki burger was delicious comes baby spinch leaves, tomato ,poach egg & bacon there home style mayo sauce was yumi . my bruch

Have yet to actually visit The Front Room in person, but have ordered from UberEats many times. Their food is consistently delicious, generous portions, always fulfil my special requests and have vegan options. Highly recommend.

The eggs Benedict with halloumi is the best thing ever it’s so good. I haven’t been inside yet but ordered off Uber eats and it’s delicious, allll of it! The orange and poppyseed muffin is so fresh. I ordered extra bacon so my greyhound could have some he approves as well! The coffee shake is delicious gonna get me through the day. Will definitely come inside soon as I live not far at all!!

Shop was really cute but coffee was bitter and quite weak. Unsure if they used the wrong milk maybe? They were very quick though!

You can learn a lot about a restaurant when they are busy. I stopped for brunch at 10:30 on a Sunday morning after seeing the high reviews of this venue. Restaurant was about half full, plenty of seating available. Waiting staff seemed to be frazzled. It took more than 5 minutes and multiple attempts of flagging the staff down before I was able to get a menu. Coffee came pretty fast, it was hot and a decent coffee... The food however, well more the service of the food was a huge let down. It took more than 30 min for more that my order of avocado smash on toast to be delivered, this was after having to flag down the staff and request that they find my order. While I’d normally attribute this to a place being busy, it wasn’t. Seems the staff were letting the team down as I saw a meal sitting on the pass for over 5 minutes before it was picked up and delivered. I imagine this person got their meal cold. The people seated beside me were a little more patient. They ordered the same time as me, their meals were delivered just as I was finishing mine and I notice that there was a lag of 5 minutes between each guest getting their plate. The food was tasty but the wait leaves a bad taste. They may be better on weekdays but for a Sydney cafe I’d expect the staff to be more on the ball. One reason for this seems that the staff were prioritising food for delivery? Lots of food in boxes being served, little actual plates. Balance needs to be found.

A great place to stop on Enmore Road for awesome brekkie and friendly service. Sitting in the window is a real treat as you get to watch all of the Enmore and Newtown local wildlife scurrying to start the their day. Highly recommend the avo on toast with perfectly poached egg - divine 🥰
