Fantastic food great friendly service. Had some beautiful pizzas and veal so tender can cut with a fork. When it's good it's good. Thanks for a great lunch guys keep up the good work.
Honestly one of the best places I've eaten in Melbourne! Such nice service from the stuff, and the meals are out of this world! Definitely recommend that you go there!!
Absolutely love this place.. I come here at least twice a week.. on my days off I’ll sneak in here for a cheeky breakfast and coffee. The staff are always super friendly and my friends and I love coming here for breakfast, lunch or dinner. 5 stars always.. highly recommend!
Felt like some Italian, so we got some Italian. Shared the Penne and smoked salmon pizza, and it was great. Pasta was cooked well with generous serves of bacon. Pizza base was not soggy, which is a win! Generous amount of smoked salmon. The best for last was the apple crumble which went well with my soy latte.
Dropped in for a coffee, service was painfully slow. Had to keep an eye over my shoulder to catch the waitresses attention.
My latte was so cute when it was put it down in front of me, talk about taking latte art to the next level!! Tin Roof are getting into the festive season and I love it, sometimes it is just the little things that can put a smile on your face.
Latte was good, nice strong taste and will happily return for a coffee again.
Visited this place for breaky over the weekend. I ordered the eggs smashed with poached eggs and a sausage, my fiancé ordered scrambled eggs smash. I also ordered a chai latte and my fiancé had a cappuccino. Mine was ok, the eggs were just a little undercooked and I really did not like the sausage, the flavor however was nice. My fiancés meal was much better, had lots of flavor and more avocado, I'd go scrambled next time. The chai latte was also ok, needed to be sweeter, a little to milky. My fiancé really enjoyed his cappuccino. Overall I'd give it another go as I seemed to enjoy my fiancé meal.
After not bookinv a place for Mothers Day we were lucky to be seated and served quickly by lovely staff. Started with the polenta fries which were intriguingly described in the menu. Very light and soft, they proved an ample starter and indeed a taste of things to come!
Mains included Risotto Pollo e Funghi, Osso Bucco and Fettucine Marinara. Risotto was creamy and well cooked if a little wet, Osso Bucco was very soft and served with a creamy mash. The Fettucine was excellent. Pasta was fresh, seafood was many, varied and in good quantity all balanced with the perfect amount of garlic and Olive Oil.
Coffee was served promptly on request and was goid quality.
All up a good place to eat with great quality food and drink!
Had the pizzas takeaway here with hubby the other night,
Place was packed but the girl at the service counter was quick and attentive
Had the seafood pizza and the chicken, good amount of seafood, smelt fishy but fresh at the same time, scallops were divine. Will come again
Came here about a week ago, had a really nice experience. The service was very prompt all staff were smiling and seem happy. I had beef burger with chips and salad the beef was very tasty, salad was fresh. Overall had a lovely meal and would recommend for a good quick bite to eat.
Nice casual place to go and get a bite to eat. The food was really tasty, everyone at the table was satisfied and the prices were pretty reasonable.
The wait staff were really accomodating and friendly!!
My recommendation would be the home made gnocchi in Napoli sauce. Had amazing flavour and the gnocchi were truly home made!! Really great
Tòok my wife to the tin roof cafe for brunch today, top food , grea service we loved the place and will be heading back to try the dinner menu
Relaxing atmosphere, a little small inside though. The chicken with scallop potato and prawns was absolutely delightful, cooked well and the potatoes had a phenomenal taste, impressed. Recommended
Service was a little off but the new girl was a treat (as in friendly) the food was nice but I feel I paid for twice what I got. I may try again
Great authentic wholesome Italian Cuisine and a blend of casual modern and relaxed dining.. Have eaten here many times over the years and have always had a great experience, and have never been disappointed.. The management and staff here are always polite and attentive and the service is always exceptional. l can highly recommend Tin Roof whether it's for a Romantic relaxed dinner, to Sunday Lunch with the family and kids or a boys or girls night out. The menu has something to please everyone. We have never left without a smile on our faces. Great kids meals and deserts too, and ample high chairs when we have dined here with other families with young children. Very child friendly and the staff always make you feel at home even when the kids get a little naughty or messy.... thanks guys! The seafood here is great too, make sure to try the soft shell crabs when they are in season, they are sensational. Some great red wines on offer too. Overall very reasonably priced, very unpretentious, and very relaxed. We will be back!!
Close...but not quite there. Great value breakfast today. $8.50 for poached eggs, bacon and toast. You pay an extra dollar within that price for the benefit of poaching eggs...but still very well priced. However......the coffee was way too tepid, and the food had to be eaten very quickly to avoid it being stone cold. Service was slow to notice us sitting outside, but very pleasant and quite speedy once we were seen. A bit more attention, and a bit more heat on the food and coffee would make me return. Until then, it's a "maybe" at best.
Food & Service. It was ok had the parma & wife had the chicken with avocado and king prawn service was ok not great food was good only went there tonight as The Long Road next door which is our favourite was closed on a Monday night. Only downside to the service at the Tin Roof was the table was dirty and sticky from previous customers glasses and the waitress could not miss it as she laid the napkin and cutlery straight over the spot. would maybe return if desperate
Mega portions. Tasty food. Wait staff look like they can't be bothered....but that's to be expected of gen. Y staff!
I've been here quite a few times and always enjoy my meal. The servings are a good size and affordable. The service can be a bit on/off, but is mostly good.
Never had any complaints when I've eaten at Tin Roof. They especially make a great brekky.
Consistent. I have given Tin Roof a thumbs down. Why? In 10 years that I have eaten there nothing has been updated. The tables and chairs are looking dirty, the magazines are never updated and the wait staff are not trained properly and are unprofessional (fighting with each other at the counters, chatting with their friends, sitting with their friends etc)
The food however is consistent. Decent size meals, always well presented and tastes good. Daily specials are good.
Menu needs an overhaul as again, nothing has been changed in a long long time.
If Tin Roof cared more about their customers rather than their friends who frequent the place inside and out, they would have even more of a better business. I am starting to go elsewhere now on Keilor Road, due to the fact the place is just looking quite grimy.
Ordered a steak and chicken, both we're cooked and presented well. Quickly served and was happy with the meal
What a great place to spend a Saturday afternoon... The food was great , we were served promptly and the wait staff were attentive ..... Will definitely be back ....
Great service, cheap meals, large meals. Can be a little noisy.
Had the Chicken Parma...OMG it was huge...and really nice too. The service was efficient but some of the girls (staff) need to learn how to smile...good thing they are easy on the eye! Overall good place for dinner.
We visit Tin roof maybe once a week if not twice a week! We absoloutely love the food and service! The waiter is always friendly and the food is fantastic! Cannot fault Tin Roof at all!
Nothing spectacular, but still a great little spot. Yummy cake! That is all.
All day brekky! Sunday. Breakfast all day Sunday! We went for late lunch, about 3 pm on Sunday and ended up having breakfast. Which was rather yummy though a few things weren't quite as expected.
There are inside and outside seats though we were seated inside so, perhaps, it would have been better outside… except for the smokers. They are in a line of café's with outdoor place settings, so smoke doesn't actually stay where it should.
They have a number of breakfast options including a vegetarian one and their toast was yummy! I had the eggs benedict and the poached eggs were cooked thoroughly, though I didn't specify how I wanted them so no runny yokes. There was extra herbs in the hollandaise sauce though which was a little odd and the ham was just deli slices laid over the muffins. I think I would have preferred slightly thicker and smaller slices but that's personal preference. It all tasted delicious. Around the table there were similar reports from those having the bacon and eggs, or a variety of omelettes.
The service was very good, quick and prompt without being over bearing. I liked it and enjoyed it and would go back to try other parts of the menu.
Fantastic food!! We are regulars here and we are never disappointed!! Couldn't say a bad thing!!
Brilliant!!!. The food their was amazing, my girlfriend had the pumpkin risotto which was ever so creamy and i had the salmon fettuccine which is possibly the best meal iv eaten in a month!! ! Really good price.
The waiters were a little bit inexperienced but apart from that this place was good. We will definitively go back again!
I like the Tin Roof, nothing particularly special, but always a safe bet.
