Review Tamburro's Italian - Niddrie

Excellent service and pleasant atmosphere with a nice decor. Although there was a bit of a wait the food was well worth it, great quality and flavours. Probably the best Italian restaurant you'll find in the area.

Last Sat night was our 3 rd visit in recent weeks and we couldn't recommend it highly enough!! The food is very authentic and delicious - the staff are professional and friendly and make everyone feel welcome. Wine list is very good but I wish it was byo as well so that we could take some of our favourites. Try it out - you won't be disappointed!!

We had a private function for our daughters communion. We wanted a private space for 25 people (which is difficult to find) and Tamburro's was perfect. Paul was very accommodating in the lead up and on the day. The food was amazing and service was perfect. All our guests loved the afternoon. Definitely be back for our next function. Thanks to Paul and the team.

I'm not one to write reviews, but I felt it necessary tonight. Not only did they fit us in as a late booking for a large group with kids, they also looked after us like special guests. The ambience was great and I loved that I could hear my fellow guests talking to me. The service was impeccable and the food was a simple menu, but done so well! The mushroom bruschetta! Omg to die for! Not one of us were disappointed which is a big say with chefs in the group. Thank you so much.

Visited for the first time. Food was delicious. We got the mushroom bruschetta, carbonara, a chicken and mushroom risotto, and some slow cooked lamb shanks. Everyone was delighted with the service too. Highly recommended and we'll be back!

if i could give more than 5 stars for this place i would, of the three times i have dinned here over the last year it has been sensational, a veal scallopini to die for, the best i have had,...ever! The owner Paul is the most authentic, kind and friendly person you have ever met, as are the waiting staff Skye and Laura, the food is amazing value for the quality it is, always fresh and always cooked to perfection, the chicken parma is huge and so good, amazing salt and pepper squid and italian style mussles and a warm inviting decor. If your over being dissapointed, this is the place to come. Christian

This place was a breath of fresh air! The staff were incredibly friendly and we all had a fantastic experience.<br/><br/>I have an allergy and the owners were more than accommodating, even offering to cook a special dish for me. The food was tasty, with a great variety of options. Will definitely be returning! <br/><br/>Highly recommend!

Food & service is perfect, more importantly is the consistency. Have not been able to fault any dish that comes out week after week. This is what brings us back. Consistency. Thank you all. Now bring back the salad with wild berries. My favourite. 😊👌

Very good service and neat venue. Portions were generous and well presented. Food was good but I feel this is Australian/Italian pub food rather than Italian food. Tried carbonara pasta and salt n pepper calamari. Calamari was fresh and had a good taste but the pasta did not hit the mark. I was not impressed and I think the place it's overpriced. Focaccia was good.

What a beautiful night! Great food and atmosphere and exceptional service. Paul and his team went all out in meeting all our needs, including delicious vegetarian and vegan options, to make a wonderful night for us. Can’t recommend highly enough! If I could give more than 5 stars, I happily would. Thank you!

The food was really nice. I was in the mood for a good steak and thats exactly what I received. Cooked perfectly to order. The mushroom sauce could have been just that little more generous and with a richer flavour. There's nothing worse than food fomo and when I tasted my companions garlic butter I had definite envy. The steak was perfect so could hardly complain too much. Paul the owner was really lovely and made you feel at home and with perfect tones, tunes and lighting it was a really easy place to relax and enjoy some nicely cooked food.

We thought we would give it a try and we were extremely satisfied. Food was perfect! Service too! The owner was very accommodating and amended the food to our liking. This will definitely be our weekly go to. I recommend you give them a try

I was in the mood for Italian and this place recently opened at the Niddrie end of Keilor Road. The front is really well lit leading to modern designed interior. I ordered take away and the food only took 15 mins. I was greeted by the owner Paul and had a great chat with him. We ordered the lasagna and penne carbonara, as well as the cheesy garlic pizza. The food was delicious and exceeded our expectations. Will definitely be heading back.

We decided to try this new addition to Keilor Rd, the renovation looks fantastic. The service was very friendly however the food a bit slow to come out but given it was their first week we are sure this will improve. We started with their 2 types of bruschetta which were really tasty. Town of us got the home made gnocchi which was delicious but just not big enough for a main meal with that price tag, likewise the marinara was beautiful but just needed to be another third bigger. The veal Sicilian was a more reasonable size and piping hot. We always want new locals to do well and they have a great foundation, but if they are going to charge at the higher end need to increase their serving sizes.

Good, home style cooking in the heart of niddrie. The garlic pizza was really yummy, I recommend that as a starter. I then had the fish special which was served with broccoli and delicious buttery chat potatoes. Others I was with had the stuffed chicken breast, the Sicilian scallopini and the special pasta dish which was Three Cheese ravioli. The chicken breast didn't have a lot of stuffing, but it was still nice. The chocolate volcano cake was also great, with oozing chocolate as you cut through the centre. Try it out if you're a local 👍🏻
