Review El Capitano Pizzeria & Bar - Noosa

Really loved dining here! I was sold as soon as I laid eyes in the menu, so much on there that caught my attention and before I sat down I knew I’d have to come back here again lol. The food didn’t disappoint, cocktails were great and service was even better. Big thanks to Mandy our server. She managed to slip us in even though we didn’t have a booking and was really well informed when it came to recommendations and the menu.

Lovely ambiance although service was a bit slow. We tried the: 🍕 San Daniele Prosciutto & buffalo mozzarella - a lot of different textures and flavours, refreshing dish 🍕 Wild mushroom Pizza - really good base and very flavoursome. Would recommend this 🍕 Potato Rosemary, crispy prosciutto & burrata special - quite salty and super heavy

The best pizza that I ever had!!! Their pizza dough is the best. Outside it’s slightly crispy and inside is soft like mochi. It match well with any flavors!! The staffs are friendly too!!

Extensive cocktail list, lovely and friendly staff, hip atmosphere and delicious food. You must get the dough balls with the garlic butter. They're amazballs

Fantastic place! Ambience, decor, menu, friendly staff and delicious pizza! We were smitten by friendly staff. They went out of their way to find a table for our family with two kids. Pizza was outstanding. Octopus dish was so flavourful! We loved it. Decor is so fantastic. If we lived in Noosa I would hang out here every day. I have a special appreciation for all little details of this place including decorations on the take away box. Yes, my husband could not get over your pizza. So, he had to take away next day😁

Put simply, pizzas are really delicious, service is very average - hence the 3 star review. We were seated, not offered any water and practically ignored by wait staff for 10-15mins with no opportunity to order a drink whilst we watched other tables seated after us be attended to. Eventually flagged one of the girls down to take both our food and drink order. Spicy pepperoni pizza and the zucchini pizza were amazing although my partner was 3 slices in to his pepperoni before my zucchini pizza arrived. Once again, had to ask staff where my pizza was. Pizza itself had a nice thin and crispy base and perfect amount of toppings with no sogginess. Really great added bonus for the evening was the guy playing acoustic tunes - set list was bang on and could listen to him for ages. Overall, come for the pizza and ambience not the service.

Great place and great food where we found the real mozzarella, and the prosciutto was thinly cut as it has to be. Pizza was amazing. The service was timely, friendly, and professional despite the place was busy. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, and the music selection was super cool too. Great place, highly recommend. Next time to Noosa this will be our one stop food destination.

Service lacking but tasty pizzas. We arrived for a 5:30 booking, having to vacate the table by 7pm, our pizzas arrived at 6:23, drinks were also slow. When ordering the pizza we asked to add pork and fennel sausage to the wild mushroom pizza, the waitress said "I'll ask the chef but he might say no as this could ruin the flavour profile of the pizza". This was great as it gave us something to talk about all night - does the pizza chef realise he is in a pizza joint not a Michelin star restaurant, we wondered....hilarious. We indeed got a "no" (let's not please the customer) and were offered mushrooms on the pork and fennel sausage pizza instead - SO AMUSING!! � The pizzas were lovely, thank goodness that mushroom didn't affect the flavour profile, crust was a bit burnt though. As soon as we were finished we were offered the bill so we'd vacate the table for the next booking - therefore no opportunity to rate desserts. Wouldn't go back unless the service improved - WAY too much attitude.

Gorgeous place with coastal / naval decor, excellent staff and some of the best pizza I've ever had. My wide and I thoroughly enjoyed the cocktails, which were well written and well-made with a very decent selection of vino too. Would go back in a heartbeat. Bravo El Capitano!! �

Great friendly staff and great pizza’s. It was pretty hot in the restaurant hence the slight mark down in stars, other than that, highly recommend.

Omg I will be thinking about this pizza for the rest of eternity ����� So so so delicious!!! ����� Beautiful atmosphere, wonderfully catered for families with young children, great and helpful staff, and did I mention the pizza??! ������ My children and I don't eat dairy and the dairy free pizzas were so beautifully executed even my husband loved them!! ��� Happiness in Dough form��� Thank you for existing and for making such incredible pizza��������� We will most definitely be back, in even considering relocating here based on this pizza alone! �� Yum times infinity �

Fantastic experience, great wait staff, great new drinks menu, pizza was on point. Only thing to say is that at 8:15 it seemed that their iTunes playlist ended and atmosphere dropped to quiet restaurant. Food needs music 🎶 that's it.. keep up the great work guys.. just get a longer playlist ha

I love this place. The staff are super friendly and professional, bartenders are awesome and create a great vibe in the place. We dined there the other night and unfortunately our booking for 8 people wasn't on their list, however the supervisor somehow managed to get us in anyway. I don't know how she did it because the restaurant was very busy. She was amazing, so professional and turned a possible bad situation into a great night. Thanks we had yet another great night at El Capitano

Good destination for cats, lots of space and obstacles to climb on, good wooden scratching posts...negavites would be the lack of milk bowls and mice to chase. Needs improvement wouldn’t recommend to the alleycats

We booked in here last night with a table for six for my sister and sons birthday. The service was ordinary we waited for nearly an hour for our drinks and for someone to even take our order we asked 3 times where our drinks were. Then they stuffed up food and forgot to order one of our pizzas. The food was bland too not ever returning to here to eat. �

Couldn't love this place more. Best pizza ever. And fantastic salads. But noisy at the entrance. It the tables over the other side are perfect. Nice booths. My new Noosa fave xx

Interesting varieties of "gourmet" pizzas. We tried three and enjoyed them all, the wine was good, the atmosphere pleasant and the service attentive. The company however was excellent!
