Review Miss Moneypenny's Noosa - Noosa

James Rose
Went here 3 night in a row on our trip, loved it every time. Staff are super nice, friendly and happy to converse which is great. Got excellent recommendations for drinks. Love the ambience, interior styling is really great - very warm and dark but not too dark. Exterior is perfect for an afternoon cocktail. Will be back every time we come up this way. Thanks for having us.

This is a sleeper as walked passed previously without visiting. Did this time and can recommend. Floor staff couldn’t do enough to satisfy and recommended a good Chardonnay. Linguine and lobster was excellent as was the eastern marinated grilled half chicken. Great ambiance and comfortable with a fabulous bar. 8/10 from me.

This was undoubtedly the best meal I have eaten since arriving in Noosa. The service was exceptional. Would definitely recommend but always reserve your table or you'll be disappointed because its so popular 😊

Cocktails pricey for the amount of drink you get (my rose martini glass was only half full) but very creative and beautiful! Recommend the lobster linguini (big chunks of lobster!) And the dressing and mixture of flavours of the lettuce salad was delicious.

We came here in groups of 6 and ordered lots of food so I got to try a number of dishes. My favourite has to be the Wagyu beef dish as that was amazing. The king salmon stick was not too bad either, but was very expensive for the small size, but was nicely presented. Service was fine, though it took a longer than anticipated to bring the food out, especially the mains. My dining partner ordered a barramundi which the waitress totally forgot about, but she did offer to complement him with a drink or serve the dish without charging. Value for money wasn't the greatest as lots of these dishes were expensive, but quality was good. Yours truly @fooderarri

Food, service and the staff, all incredible. We had the best night out that we’ve had in a long time - 3 generations at the one table, and everybody had an equally amazing time. The staff went over and above to make us welcome. The children were mesmerised by the staff making cocktails, and so the cocktail geniuses behind the bar did a mini mocktail class for them - complete with fairy floss on top! The kids were allowed to shake the shakers, decorate the drinks and finally, drink them. They had a ball. The food was just lovely and all of the staff made such an effort with us - they even made a shot and lit it, purely for the kids entertainment. It’s been a long time since we’ve had a night out like that, and for the children and their grandparents to be a part of that, was so special. We will always remember the night at Miss Moneypennys. Couldn’t recommend this venue more highly - oh and that Waygu was incredible 🙌🏻

An incredible night! We were recommended Miss Moneypenny’s by a friend, and even though it was a fair drive from where we were staying (Coolum), we were all excited to enjoy dinner here! Firstly, the restaurant is beautiful, and it felt inviting, comfortable, and also chic and current. The service was EXCEPTIONAL - our waitress Chelsea was attentive, engaged, charming, professional, and FUN! Our whole table (me, my husband, and my parents) were absolutely delighted by her, she truly made our night special. The food was absolutely fantastic, and the chef (I believe his name is John) was incredibly accommodating to the special dietary needs of some of our table I he food was fresh, and the flavours were interesting and unique, and utterly delicious - there was clearly a lot of thought and care put in to each dish When our waitress (Chelsea) finished her shift, we were looked after by Alex, who did a wonderful job of picking up where Chelsea left off - again, a fun and playful, yet incredibly professional server who made our night even more special Louisa was lovely, even though we didn’t have a lot of interaction with her, as was Natasha This was an incredibly special night for my family - thank you so much for making it so beautiful and memorable

The culinary expertise of the chef and team here are underrated along Hastings St when they’re truly some of the best dishes in Noosa Heads. Second only to the wonderful Kelly’s conversation, attention to detail, treats and superb warmth. She’s a hospitality hero, from whom the whole industry could learn from. Thank you for a fabulous long lunch!

What a find!! Funky restaurant on Hastings Street, lovely decor and ambiance .. just awesome. The cocktails are out of this world, their pina colda was served in a coconut shell with this amazing whipped lime coconut foam on the top .. OMG! I wanted a spoon just to eat that on its own Then the coconut grande cocktail came in a coconut tin .. very cool. And of course one can’t forget the food, wow .. carpaccio, prawns, duck breast and linguine .. all divine! I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!

I just had my first money penny's experience... Wow wow and wow... the food was delicious and the staff was all friendly and kind. Thank you for restoring my faith in good service. A must go for anyone looking for an extraordinary experience. Thank you all. We will be back xxx

Excellent staff. Friendly and helpful with not to much interaction. Great food and good draught beer which means their lines are regularly cleaned. Great music and atmosphere.

My Mum and I stopped in for a cocktail during our weekend visit to Noosa. The service was phenomenal, special thanks to our waitress who went to the trouble of organising an amazing vegan pizza for me with the kitchen. Thanks again, I'll definitely be back
Amanda Arena
Loved everything about it. The staff were amazing and not try hard friendly and the cocktails were the best I think I've ever tried. . Definitely returning.

Alex is an amazing cocktail teacher! Ask for Alex when you come in, he'll make you the best espresso martini made the night amazing!

Best place to visit in Noosa!! Cocktails are made with so much love..with endless options available! Staff are so friendly and attentive! Really love the pizzas & late night food options they have available which is so hard to find in Noosa
Melinda Ann Kuchenmeister
Amazing service - fantastic martini’s - the lobster capellini was splendiferous. We had lunch : beautiful thin prosciutto pizzas and went back for dinner. Have been here several times over the past few years and have always had exceptional service and amazing food and drinks.
Marcus Tomczak
I doubt anyone who rated this one low actually understands its market. Let’s push aside the brilliant cocktails, fantastic service and the eclectic and broad range of drinks.. all of which deserve the 5 star rating. The name Miss Moneypenny can only be synonymous with luxury, service and a styled demeanour and they certainly live up to that name.

The pizza's were disgusting and unpleasant to eat. The thickness of the base was so uneven that in the centre holding the weight of too much lamb it was crepe thin, gooey and not cooked. The slow cooked lamb was in extremely large chunks which were inedible, a lot of fat no meat. I still have the fat taste in my mouth 3 hours later. The Mooloolaba Prawn pizza was as unpleasant to eat, the base was not cooked, gooey and crepe thin in the middle so that when you tried to eat all the toppings fell off as there was nothing to support them. The oysters were average. Overall an extremely disappointing meal out. You need to hire a chef to cook your pizzas as I am assuming one was not working today the food was so below par.

Great food and the staff were excellent. Highly recommend

HORRIBLE. so noisy, overpriced, rude staff, shocking service. This place has got no idea, need to decide whether they’re a bar or a fine dining restaurant because to charge the prices they do they absolutely do not deliver.
Marina Thornley
Had a table at the front in the corner. The table was too high for the low chairs. Could rest my chin on it lol A lovely spot though with lovely staff. I would try a full meal next time.

We dined here on the recommendation of Shan and wow what a treat! Starting with a lovely Mediterranean gin and tonic and making our way through the 7-course set menu and matched wines selection. Our host Owen was incredible with his wine knowledge and paired the delicious food with beautiful wines. What a great dining experience and enhanced in a stunning venue right on hastings street, we will be back!

We were very disappointed following our visit to this restaurant which was recommended by a friend. Our visit was mid evening and , due to the lights being so subdued it was impossible for us to read the menu. Having mentioned this to a member of staff it was suggested that we held the menu below the level of the bench seat thus taking advantage of some concealed lighting at that level. Alternatively it was suggested that we could use the torch from our mobile phone! We ordered two pizzas one of which was no better the ok whilst the other was impalatable due to the amount of tomato paste used on the base. In fairness having complained we were given a free of charge desert which proved to be the best part of the meal. Although our eating experience was awful, the staff were very efficient and friendly. Sorry for such a damning review but there are many so much better places to eat on Hasting Street
Andrew
Was in Noosa this weekend and chances upon this place for a Friday afternoon lunch and drinks. Decor is lovely! Can’t fault it. But we ordered a Malbec only to be told, after a while, that they’ve run out. The replacement we chose was a good Cab-Sav. We then ordered a couple of pizzas, chips and chicken wings... the pizzas were quick to serve but the chicken wings and chips took forever - it was an almost empty a place! When they arrived, they lacked salt and seasoning(chicken wings) so was disappointing. All in all, good wine, average food, good decor!
Mia Tua
Great ambience, very trendy and elegant. Pizza was nice but not amazing. The cheese platter was really good looking and quite tasty too. Drinks were good. Staff was friendly
Vik
Hard 2 soft 3

Buffet Brunch - Noosa prices alert

The selection was average, the cooked seafood was either too salty (pipies) or very under seasoned (bug)
The fresh oysters was also average.

Cooked food were your fine but didnt have anything worth the bite.

Service was lacklustre they didnt serve us our drinks a while and the other waffles and pizza has to be asked multiple times before finally arriving.

Wasnt worth the money youd spend
Amisha Patel
Found the place strictly average. Food was bland, service was alright and drinks were kinda good. The ambience was great however wished that the food tasted a lot better.

My Three Key Pointers.
* Great atmosphere, bad door service.
* Food definitely overpriced, but standard noosa pricing.
* Great cocktails.

I loved the interior, stylish venue. Even though i had the most uncomfortable bar seat looking at parked cars on the side, I still appreciated the decor. The door service is what really annoyed me, very unfriendly and if you don’t have a booking it’s like they need to think about if they should let you in or not for a good few minutes making the wait very uncomfortable. You either have room or you don’t. I just want to eat and I think they only want an elite crowd. There is 1000 Moneypenny‘s in Melbourne making you nothing special. The food was good but extremely overpriced, this is quite standard for Noosa. Average food at premium prices. The cocktails were very good probably the best Aperol sprits I have had. The pizza with roasted Pear was delicious and the pizza prices are good. We also had the Barramundi the portion size was good.
Carla
Pretty disappointing, the slowest service I’ve had in years when the place was not very busy. The cocktails were more for show than tasty. Pretentious vibe without any substance...
FOODIE ADVENTURE
Came here just got drinks and it was a great start to our night. The place was super busy but we still got good service. The guys behind the bar were friendly and made great drinks. I got the Miss Moneypenny's belvedere bloody mary and it was honestly the best bloody mary drink l've had. It's to share so don't be put off by the price. We managed to get about 5 tall glass drinks from it so great value for money. Really happy we went there and wish we ate there as well. #bloodymary
D P
Could have been great BUT for the super mean portion sizes. Please -three small slices does not a duck breast make. Perhaps the menu should read part of duck breast, or duckling breast ? Same goes for Barramundi. Left very dissapointed.
Mistermister
Great atmosphere. Very Melbourne. Wagu carpaccio and the kingfish tartare was delicious but the best was the chips with truffle aeoli. Prawn pesto pizza was a let down. Service was friendly but a bit absentminded. We had to wave them down a handful of times to order drinks and food and the bill.
MMouse
Good good, drinks are expensive fir what they are. Great vibe but can be noisy. Staff are very attentive and meals flowed at s good pace.
Why dose this preview need to have 140 characters?
Anna001
Carrot salad was nice- the baba ganoush could have been more plentiful. The barramundi was very very good. Service was good. Ambience was very nice
Inna Ishenko
Great service and friendly staff, amazing and beautifully-presented coffee, beautiful interior. All the food we had was delicious, duck breast in particular. Can't wait to go back to try more of their cocktails.
Mmrward1
Wow. The service is as fantastic and the food incredible. We had an amazing dinner on Sunday night. The Sunday session DJ played some great tunes.
ToorakM
I had a mediocre experience here last time with service but now the service is 5 Star.

Over the last few days the service has been top notch by two of the young female staff.

The layout and decor is beautiful and it’s a great place to have a wine and relax while people watching on Hastings.

The food though was overpriced and not really to our taste. The kids meal was oversalted and so salty my little one didn’t want it. So the man had the steak and chips (salad was all salt so I ate it and wiped the dressing off)

The Margherita was pretty basic and light for the heat of the day. It was so hot so eating light pizzas like this was good!

Great wine list yet hmm.. I ordered their “Barose” thinking it was a decent wine for $11.50 a glass.

Comes out and it’s Jacobs creek. Think they can do better than that for the price!

But - 5 star service here. Great venue to have a drink and the cocktail list looked amazing!
Geoff
Iconic name. Sensational location and layout. Food quite reasonable and enough variety. The street front tables are very desirable and provide constant entertainment. In a precinct that’s so popular it is groaning and buckling under the traffic MM is a welcome outlet at one end. If you have never been, go. Can be patchy so pack your tolerance and patience.
Jay
Looks great yet the #rudest #staff in #Noosa. Sat down was given a menu then was ignored for 15 minutes so walked out. 4 staff continuously serving no one. All we wanted was a drink and the place was not busy.
Jane Carracher
Burnt coffee, food took far too long to come out even though there were only 2 or 3 other groups of customers, missed items from dishes, staff lazy, food cold. Complained to manager and we were given a discount on our food, thank you.
Renata
Thank you to the great staff for warm friendly polite professional service. The atmosphere is relaxing and beautiful. The food is 5star quality. Happy 😊

Located on hastings st , we stopped by here with a group of friends. We found the service to be great and they had a DJ playing some tunes in the background at the right noise levels. We tried the 12hr lamb shoulder, our favourite cut, and it was amazing. Nice and tender on the inside with a crispy outside with the right amount of seasoning. We will be back.
Annika
Beautiful food, yummy cocktails and great service. Best calamari we have ever had and the margarita pizza was delicious. Service was fantastic for an early lunch on a Sunday. Hopefully we have time to come back before our trip ends.
Josie Stephens
The food was absolute crap, clearly the chef had no idea what they were doing in the kitchen, assuming they had a chef it was that bad!The slow cooked lamb pizza had chunks of lamb that were extremely large, fatty and as such the base of the pizza in the centre was as thin as a crepe, not cooked and gooey. Three hours later I still have that fat taste in my mouth I can not get rid of. If this 'restaurant' prides themselves on the quality of their food they are delusional. The prawn pizza also ordered had the same soggy base in the centre which was not pleasurable to eat, nor were the oysters. How can you stuff up something not cooked?
Netkith
Food: good Italian food. Lovely wine menu.
Ambience: nice high-end feel to it. Comfortable seating and warm ambience.
Service: friendly and warm, reasonably quick
Location: On the main street. Convenient but no views.

Visited miss moneypennys on our recent trip to noosa! absolutely amazing, we shared a few smaller dishes which couldn't be faulted. But we really came here the cocktails which were fantastic! such an extensive list and the wait staff were very helpful!
Cino's Mum
Dropped into this slick spot for drinks & bar snacks with our BFFs. We enjoyed toasted macadamias w smoked paprika salt (tasted like Burger Rings flavouring - in a good way), chips w fermented chilli aioli (yum) & marinated fat hen farm olives w thyme, orange & garlic (also yum).

Hope you don't like money cos it'll cost you to drink here - think $20 cocktails. Granted they were prompt, fun & truly delicious though. Our hipster server eventually cracked a smile for us in the end.

Fun people-watching with an inordinate number of bow tie wearing patrons. One bow tie was made of timber. True story. Noosa cracks me up.
LittleMissPiggy
Went here on a night out with a few friends and it wasn't too bad. I wouldn't rave about it or tell anyone to go but all in all it was ok. The staff are super friendly and seem to be helpful but a little clueless, the decor is nice and updated with a nice vibe. Food wise, It's pretty overpriced for the quality, the pasta was very dry, the prawns came whole with a tasteless sauce, and the octopus was bite size. On the other hand, the cocktails are fun, and we got to sit outside for 6 people which is nice. I think it was a good night secondary to the company, not the restaurant.
I probably wouldn't go back because there a so many other places to try.

First time dining at Miss Moneypenny's even though we've been coming to Noosa for years ... I have always been put off by the review ratings but no more! We had a delicious and delightful cocktail and meal. Service was excellent and they didn't blink when I asked for a cocktail that wasn't on the menu. We had Italian meats to start followed by the Portuguese chicken with a rocket salad. Everything was delicious and attractively plated. The polenta Parmesan chips were superb. Highly recommended.
M & M
Beautiful service, beautiful food. The belvedere automobile cocktail jug was amaaazzing. So delicious and really hit the spot! We had the slow cooked lamb for two and again - amazing! Great environment if you enjoy the dark, candlelit vibes.
Danni
Excellent cocktail selection and the food was pretty great too. I had a chief! We share a pasta, calamari and chips and couldn't complain about anything. The atmosphere was great too.
Eat Play Love Travel
Strolling down Hastings Street you’ll stumble across a bustling beach hut where it’s hard not to notice that everyone inside is having a great time. At the house of Miss Moneypenny the pizza oven is busier than Heathrow Airport pumping out cheap but delicious pizzas and the bodybuilder-sized cocktail list will turn you into a drunkard before realising it. I recommend the ultra-hairy and drinkable rosewater cocktail.
Raevin Ravindra
Great atmosphere. Delicious pizzas. Epic pina colada and warm service. Will definitely go back! Made a last minute reservation and they were very accommodating. The manager even offered to keep the kitchen open for us!
Sashaboz
Amazingly place , great atmosphericfood and service is also good.
2.3 is definitely an unfair rating considering all rhe rest of the
Places on this strip are below average.
So dont be put off by the reviews come in and enjoy few cocktails and anice meal.
Will
Superb venue...great staff...great vibe...highly recommend a visit! The choice of cocktails, bar snacks and wine list is excellent. Will definitely do a return visit!
Late For Woodstock
This is normally my favourite place in Hastings street to eat, but recently I had a bad experience. My mains were DELICIOUS but the DESSERT platter which followed was UNATTRACTIVE & TASTELESS. In fact, the food both presentation & taste looked as if it had been poured from a can.Disappointed, we spoke to the Maitre D who accepted our concerns at face value & vowed to tasted the food himself & perhaps review/revise/redesign the menu. Our final bill was also deducted (a nice gesture but not expected), with his profuse apologies. Though a little marred by the experience, we will return as I have eaten there often & have never had an unappetising meal.

I love everything about this place. So much attention to detail. I use to work as a bartender so I appreciate the cocktails here. These are premium cocktails. I think this place even won best Australian bar or something once. I had a pina colada and it was the best damn pin colada I've had. They even had the froth going on for it, something I never got the hang of. I had a fancy version of a Hawaiian pizza, was fantastic. I do think you should come when the pizzas are half price. I would say I probably wouldn't be so happy otherwise. I do notice though this place pays attention to detail. It has the best glassware, great background music, bar looks fantastic, great seating tip top venue.
Jeff
Decided to have a quick drink with friends before we went to dinner at another venue. The staff were accommodating and professional. Ended up having a cocktail which was delicious but not worth $23. Overall we enjoyed our experience , would love to try the food next time.

Firstly mixed up the order the coffee order. Then told us they only had enough soy milk to make one coffee. Food average, small portions & very expensive. Bacon extremely overcooked & hard. Toast, a tiny bit of avocado & a couple of mushrooms $17. Will not be going there again.
Stephanie
We had a reservation for 8pm tonight and STILL WAITING. There has been no apologies or communication. An hour and a half and we have just been seated, still waiting. This booking was made WEEKS in advance for a group of 15 FOR A HENS NIGHT. Very disappointed, if we wanted to sit around and have drinks we would have in the comfort of our resort. On a another I also waited 4 rounds of everyone else's drinks to come before my first drink came when the first round was ordered. Quite poor

This place has it all! Great location, great service, good food and awesome cocktails!!!

The menu has something for everyone and you could find something to suit most budgets. Produce was fresh and well cooked. Service we couldn't fault. They are known for amazing cocktails and didn't disappoint. The only small gripe is the cocktails were gone in two mouthfuls. They are so delish you just want more. This is also a fun place to eat and drink for locals and tourists.
Jessica Valentine
Really good experience! Relaxed and had a drink with some light pizzas that were very tasty! Service was excellent :) definitely better value compared to other places along Hastings St that Iv tried this week.

Booked dinner for Saturday night - could only get in at 5.30 which was Ok as we had 5 kids 3 adults. Arrived at 5.30 and at 5.50 stilled not served for a drink - and you know when you are on holidays you want a drink - quick.... Had to seek out some staff for some wine and 5 pink lemonades for kids. Then the pizza arrived before the kids lemonades. Poor service all round.. BUT the pizza was really good Very flavoursome and really good bases. It is just disappointing when a restaurant is full on foreign kids servicing who have no idea about a service. Noosa is full of families and kids so my advise is the keep Mum and Dad happy
Yorkie_Traveller
We ventured in to Miss Moneypenny’s a couple of times recently, first just for drinks and the second for some food. We’d not booked and when we arrived it was really busy, instead of waiting for a table we decided to eat in the bar area, we were only sharing some pizzas anyway. We ordered our food and cocktails at the bar, drinks were made straight away and the pizzas didn’t take too long to follow. Pizzas were really tasty, nice thin bases and good toppings too. Would come back for more cocktails and pizzas.
Luke James Russell
Avoid this place unless you have cash to burn, the bar food and pizzas are so overpriced it's not funny. The service is a little too over friendly however maybe that's to make up for the overpriced food. How could a restaurant think charging $17 for a handful of calamari or $9 for the same amount of chips would get people to come back is beyond me and don't even think about the $3 per chicken wing??? Will not be going back here as there are much better options in Hastings Street.
VegeLover
Lovely atmosphere
Stopped here for a drink at the bar and had to have the Miss Moneypenny's mango and passionfruit zombie and it came in the cutest tiki cup!
Great drink, great staff
Thank you
Lachlan
Back to Noosa and guess what this restaurant hasn't improved one bit.How they have survived another year is a complete mystery.I stand by my review 11 months ago - appalling service, drinks and food don't coincide ,staff don't care, high prices and ordinary food
Anita Hamilton
Second visit to Miss Moneypenny's. Food was ok, but not at the price. There was no warmth in the service. The music drove me a bit mad - reminiscent of 'Austin Powers'. Ithink we might go back to Gaston next time!
Kingston Neo
I think this place is totally overrated, it doesn't live up to the hype at all. The pizzas weren't great, our seafood pizza was all soggy. The Wait staff weren't very attentive or organised. The only redeeming factor was their Espresso Martinis, their cocktails were fab.
Clarkie
Good cocktails. Happy with the espresso martini with a twist and partner was happy with spicy chilli/ginger/lime cocktail. Service was pretty good
Brett Potts
Great food, fast service and wonderful environment .. We had the salmon and a pizza and both were amazing. I could see that they would struggle to keep up the speedy service during peak times but for a Sunday night it was great. Will be back.
Always_eating
Great vibe - relaxed bar/beach with great service and good food. Highlight were the drinks - gorgeously served in an array of different cups /glasses. Kids juice served in a coconut cup, mock tail in a ceramic island cup... Lots of theatre. Great friendly service and food was good (although not spectacular). Good option for families.

Another great restaurant to try in Noosa, our seafood ( Di Mare) pizza with Prawns and Balmain Bug was delicious , as were the Spicy Chicken wings , and desserts were delicious
Loved the atmosphere of the restaurant and the staff were great
Went back again this afternoon for Happy"2" hours, great cocktails and snacks
Qwerty
Love the interior of the place, it has a nice, relaxed set up of the furniture. The half priced pizzas and bar bites between 4-6 was a good deal as for full price they definitely would have been a rip off. The Mediterranean lamb and seafood pizza were both quite standard and lacked overall flavour
Ant
Very pleasant open setting. Broad variety on the menu and extensive wine list. Seafood prepared perfectly while the eye fillett could not be faulted. The black Sambuca Affegato was the perfect way to finish.
Shannon McCormack
Overpriced. $60 for dozen oysters yikes! Weren't even nice. Many many better places in noosa for sure.
Patrick Gallagher
A group of 8 of us went to this restaurant while we were down celebrating a 40th. The service we received will be in our memories for a long time. Mel, our waitress, was smart, and well able to take on the cheeky remarks of the group. She showed an actual personality and not your usual hospitality script. We will all definitely return when we are back.
Brizzz
Overpriced.. Not worth the price. Food is average, staff nothing to write home about, and atmosphere dull (due to no customers). People avoid this place for good reason. It is not worth your time or money. Way better venues along Hastings Street.

Great. Had the best steak. Like butter.
Tropic
I love the look of this place. They got the decor right on and to be able to see outdoors from almost every seat is lovely. The waiter was lovely and let us sit wherever we wanted and was polite and helpful.
Now to the food. The pizza was okay but at $23 for a medium sized pizza.. way overpriced. Not much meat on it and pineapple in big chunks
The Triple cooked chips.. hmm where do I start. They were soft, brown and way overcooked. The worst chips I have ever eaten.I think maybe the name was a hint. They looked like someone had got them from a takeaway, left them in the fridge for a few days, reheated them in the oven and forgot to take them out in time. And a tiny serve, served in a tiny basket for $8!!,There was barely a cup of chips. The vinegar foam was okay.Such a shame that this lovely looking restaurant with a great location has not lifted their game even after so many bad reviews. I hope someone comes in and revamps the menu, maybe a few decent lunch specials might save it but doesn't look like they really care.
Laurengourley
Terrible - Stay away. When we walked in on a quiet Sunday afternoon we were greeted by an extremely rude waitress. Even other customers commented to us on her hostile behaviour. Upon entering we found a flyer for $10 cocktails for members, we asked another (friendlier) waitress if we could join and receive them. We filled out the paperwork, which she took back to her manager, and ordered our cocktails. When the bill came, it was double what we expected. The third waitress then scurried off to find the manager, whom informed us that members need to wait to receive the card before receiving any benefits. Begrudgingly we paid the overpriced bill, which also included some vastly disappointing food. If you are in Noosa over the weekend, find somewhere else.
Kiki Chakra
Friendly staff but bad food. Lacked lots of flavor and it's overpriced.
Langkawi.gm
Gail. Great food poor service. Metre D walked around doing nothing.
Quentin Jackson
Good ambiance and cocktails. Very poor service. Given our three year old we tend to dine early, so we're pretty much only ones there. They simply can't serve you to save their lives, had to ask for water, waited an age to get served. Food was ok. Wouldn't go back.
Enjoy
Great place. Drinks and entre order arrived shortly after wait staff took our order. Though busy, the staff were very attentive.
The main dishes for our party of 4 arrived shortly after our table was cleared of first course.
The menu has some unique dishes and the quality is above standard.
As expected, you pay for the location, uniqueness and ambiance.
By contrast, the excellent wines were reasonably priced. The music set a unique atmosphere.
We will go again.
David Pountney
Other reviews are pretty much on the money (pun intended). Average service, drinks took forever to arrive and they stuffed up the bill (even after three attempts to correct it).
Allangblackwell
Dissapointed. Wouldn't go back, the food was very average for what it cost.
Sounded much better on the Menu to what arrived on the plate
combine this with mediocre service and couldn't care less attitude
to get a C+ score and join the rest of the very over rated Noosa Restaurants.

I live here in Noosa and am forever being told by tourists how poor the restaurants are
big problem is that they are right - Sydney and Melbourne leave us for dead in both quality and value

Miss Money Penny - No thanks much better food and value elsewhere - even in Noosa!
Vicki Walmsley
Enjoyable. We had dinner two nights ago and chose to share some dishes. The BBQ prawns were OK but then we have not had a fantastic prawn dish here yet. It was supposed to come with a hot sauce which we struggled to notice. It appeared to have been forgotten. We chose beef carpaccio which was very good and had well matched accompaniments. The stand out dish was the lamb with quinoa and pomegranate. It was delicious and well sized. We loved it so much we almost fought over the last mouthfuls. Definitely a dish I could have again. The staff were good and friendly. We lounged back in the chairs and were quickly offered extra cushions. We would return.

Service not great.......Food nice, but not as described in the menu. I took my daughter to Miss Moneypenny's for brunch on Saturday morning - as part of our mummy/ daughter day - we were seated reasonably quickly and given a menu, the restaurant was pretty quiet, yet it took at least 15 minutes to see a waitress again, the waitress took our order (and informed me they were out of house made Chai....which I was looking forward to) - we ordered "the Pancakes" off the breakfast menu, which were supposed to come with a berry compote and Vanilla and lemon marscapone...... when they arrived it was 3 small pancakes with an insubstantial amount of maple syrup - which I saw nowhere on the menu. I thought perhaps they had mistakenly assumed I wanted the childrens menu (if there was one), so my daughter and I shared the pancakes - and they were good. Unfortunately what I was not impressed with, was the price - I still got charged $16 - which was the price for the pancakes with the pimpy accompaniments. Disappointing for me, but my daughter loved the plain pancakes and the house made lemonade.

Great ambience, our waitress was lovely . Unfortunately we had to wait 50 mins for our meal and the food was just ok.

Non customer focussef. After making a reservation 3 days before we turned up and there was no reservation on their system so they stuck us in the window with a view of the carpark and after asking begrudgingly offered a free drink as compensation - mind you we had to ask. After that the manager and maître d treated us like lepeers .Not our fault that they are incompetent. Would I recommend it NEVER and would I return NEVER .

High prices for bad food and bad service.

I was here with a few friends on the weekend. It's in a tourist trap so I expected to pay a bit extra, but I didn't expect the food to be so bad. The service was not good either. We waited 15 minutes for somebody to take our order and 45 minutes to get our food (this was mid-afternoon, so it was busy but not packed). One meal was missing and they apparently didn't notice or care. After waiting five minutes for it to show up, we flagged somebody down and waited another ten minutes for it to arrive, so it was an hour and fifteen minutes from being seated until we could eat.

I had the $44 eye fillet. I ordered it rare and when I cut into it, it was brown all the way through. I was amazed at how overdone it was. The vegetables with the meal were fine but uninspiring.

The $8 thrice-cooked chips sounded great on the menu and looked good as we saw them go past. They looked like they should be really crunchy but turned out to be 100% soggy, limp and soft. I have never been served chips so bad in my life. I have had day-old KFC chips straight out of the fridge that tasted about the same as those chips. I honestly don't know how it's possible for a restaurant to screw up chips that badly.

Overall it was just way too incompetent for the price. Don't even give this place a chance - it's not worth how long you'll wait and how much you'll pay for bad food if it goes wrong.

Don't like it!! Went for dr.... Don't like it!!
Went for drinks and waited 30 minutes without being served.
As a fellow restaurant'er, an expresso martini takes approx 5 mins to make, 30 is unacceptable to still not receive anything. Went up the road to Bistro C

Dissapointing. One of my friends oysters were on the verge of rotton, any seafood dishes were very over cooked. Very disappointed. Wont be back.

Terrible service!!. Waited 15 minutes after getting our own menus even though we were sitting next to the cash register. No service has ever been this bad! Try at your own peril..

BAD SERVICE!!!!. I was excited about visiting miss moneypennies until we sat down.
We waited 1 hour to get our drinks by then we had finished our meals which was also the wrong food.
asked several times the wait staff about our drinks and all I got was we are having system issue and dockets are not going through.
By this point our food was finished and still no drinks.
I was surprised to see one of the staff walking around providing shots to the DJ and the wait staff but we still were waiting for our drinks.
Must say the food was excellent but that is were it stops!!!!!!
once our cocktails arrived we found that the cherries was also mouldy.
Miss Moneypennie if you are going to charge the price you have advertised MAKE SURE YOU BACK IT UP WITH SERVICE.
YOU NEED A REALITY CHECK ASAP!!!!
DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND! !!!
Go to Bistro C highly recommended

Needs better management. Bought 5 tickets for new years blue and white party which started at 8pm... we got there near 9pm... place was over packed and like a sauna, everyone was sweating... the worst bar service ever, they are good when its quiet, but soooooooooooo slow when its busy... they pour the weakest drinks, literally measure every thing... take forever to make cocktails... they need a good kick up the butt... as a business owner I cant believe how the manager does not ride there bar staff to get the A into G... took 20minute just to get to the bar, when we got to it we still waited and waited, whole we watched the slowest bar staff on the face of the earth... grabbed me 5 friends and said this is a joke, we left with out having 1 drink... spent $125 on tickets only to walk out... soooo disappointing for new years... we go there once every 2 weeks for a meal or drinks, but for some reason the drinks have become weak... $12 for ASAHI, bloody hell!!!... no value...liked the new look and atmosphere of this place originally, but there going to have to get there service into order... needs a better manager that knows how to run a busy venue... so many people I know are getting over the bar staff and how slow they are....

-----22 Dec, 2014-----

Realistic veiw. I have eaten and partied here numerous times, have enjoyed the service and the food.. as a member the discount brings the price to a realistic value. I have read a lot of bad reviews here. Not sure if they have over exaggerated, Ive never waited longer than 20-30 minutes for mains, and that's even when the place is pumped..

If I were to have a complaint it would be about the cocktails, they are always really weak, at times my friends my wife and even my staff at our Xmas party said they were really weak and couldn't taste the alcohol. I thought it was just me, but we had a hard time getting tipsy after 3 cocktails each in a short time, ended up drinking beer and spirits to get a realistic hit. asked for a long island tea once, which is a very strong cocktail, taste like lemonade.. that's the only thing Miss Moneypennys needs to get there act together on IMO... I'm not the only one who says it... I would advice to have wine, at least you know they cant weaken that..

Annoying repetitive music made me flee. Had to ask several times for water. The most annoying repetitive Music played loud at midday. Asked for it to be turned off or down or changed. Nothing was done about it. No words just repetitive music that drive me insane. Pizza $31 for dried prawns on a hard base with no flavour. Don't waste your money. Save your sanity from the horrible music and your wallet from the terrible pizza

Don't waste your time. We went there for dinner on a Wednesday night and it wasn't overly busy. We were shown to a table by I'm assuming the 'manager' or person in charge as they weren't in uniform, that seemed in my opinion away from everyone as we have a 1 year old (she is fantastic when we go out and a great eater) and that's where it basically ended. We didn't have a drink order taken and we were pretty much forgot about. We waited for about 20 minutes and then just left.
There are better places in Noosa than this joke of a place.

PATHETIC!!!. Dinner in late October 2014. Pathetic is the only word that comes to mind with this place. How the hell can you get a pizza so wrong? Drinks came 40 minutes into the "meal" and they weren't even correct. I just hung around for the amusement. What the hell has the world come to... places like this should surely be closed at the very least and even fined for being so bad.

Just horrendous. We had to get up and find someone to take our drink order. It then sat on the bar for 15mins before we had to retrieve it ourselves. Advertised gluten free bases available, after threatening that the kitchen was closing and we argued the slow service, got told 10 min later no gluten free bases available. I then ordered a pasta advertised as gluten free option avail but no, apparently not. A $36 piece of fish was all that was available. Needless to say, two hours later and still no food, never coming here again.
Key learning here is Urban Spoon never lies.

Refreshing for Hastings Street. Been to Miss Moneypennys lot of times now. As locals we are made to feel special with a discount and recognition. OMG is such a relaxed atmosphere, which is nice. Never had a bad meal, and particularly love the pizzas which are thin crust and yummy. My experience of service has only ever been good, very very friendly. Feel this place really fill a niche that was needed on Hastings Street.

AMAZING. Went here twice for dinner this week.
Service A1, Food A1, atmosphere A1, drinks and cocktails A1. I simply could not fault it.
I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, and i will certainly be back the next time i am in Noosa.
By far my best dining experience on my holiday.

Dreadful. Possibly worst dining experience in Noosa my whole life. I'm 47, have been coming to Noosa every year since I was 8 years old. Actually we didn't even dine, we sat waiting for over an hour for a bottle of wine! Waiter stunk!!! Maitre D thought he was George clooney -- only he's not. Got the feeling they don't give a tuppity about service - and they don't. Bistro C, Gaston and Locale are consistently good ... That's my suggestion... Don't go to money penny's!!!
Tristantellsnoone
Bad. Tonight was quiet, we Ordered four cocktails. Thirty minutes later Three cocktails came out and we were told the Fourth was on its way. 20 minutes later I told them not to bother as my friends has finished their drinks (which were sickly sweet and unbalances) terrible waste of money

Extensive and interesting cocktail menu. Very very slow service, 4pm empty bar... 26mins to make 5 cocktail + way too long to receive menus and then to order. Exactly 60mins all up for 1 round :( Drinks tasted ok, no garnishes, nice glasses, meh... Moving on. Waitress was polite but just everything was just tooooo slow.
Jodie
Very disappointing. My husband and i were excited to try this restaurant however were left very disappointed. The service was terrible. And it wasnt a busy night so they couldnt even use that as an excuse. Countless waiters walked past our table where empty cocktail glasses sat for quite some time just begging to be refilled. Long wait between courses and apparently its completely ok to leave your guests with empty plates on the table for a long time. Food average. If you are going to charge $24 for a 3 scallop entree you had best back up the hefty price with amazing sercice. Sadly this place couldnt. The positive, great cocktails. So my advice pop in for a drink, skip the dining and head to bistro c up the street for a much more sophisticated experience.

Lunch so good, went back for dinner. Had the special pizza lunch with free glass of wine. mon- frid. Pizza was the superb withs talky thin and crispy base. Service at dinner was a little slow but the food and cocktails were amazing. Had the seafood and charcuterie plate which was big and tuna was the star of the plate. Thanks will be back

Cute name and great atmosphere. We ordered the seafood and charcuterie board to share and I was very impressed with the seafood selection. Our 5yrd had the Margherita pizza and said it was delicious. Service was prompt and attentive. Reasonably priced for the quality and ambience.

Service poor. Second attempt at this alluring restuarant. Went there on first opening for drinks and found the cocktails disappointing but atleast the staff were trying to be attentive.
This time round for Sunday lunch with the family (5 months later) was sadly let down by most of the experience. toilets obviously hadn't been attended to for a long time, service was terribly slow and depressing and the vibe - ikea meatball restaurant feel. Don't know if the yummy pizza was worth it in the end. I think not.

After reading the other reviews on here, I think this place must be trying to up its game. We had a very attentive waiter who introduced himself by name and was very attentive to us all night. The atmosphere is great and the cocktail list is very imaginative and extensive. The food was great although $25 for the 3 scallop special was a bit poor. To the management, this place has the potential to be amazing, just make sure you hire great staff and give good value for money with all your dishes.

Review of a Night Out: Disappointing in some areas. Review: A disappointing dining experience
After reviewing the menu of this restaurant for a friend’s birthday, one would be expecting a upper-class / premium level of food and service from this establishment. Now to understand my comments you must first know I am no professional chef, however I am a very competent cook / chef with a serious passion for food and culture.

The service by the waiters / staff on the night as well as the décor and ambiance was well suited to an upmarket restaurant on the stunning Hastings Street. Drinks were definitely on the top-end of the price range but presentation and choice was vast. However this is where the pleasantries ends!!

One squiz at the menu and you would think you are in the finest of restaurant with the upmost quality, especially when you see a $44 eye fillet with about 4 veggies and a little sauce (this is the simplified description). Deciding with my partner on the nights courses we chose The Meatballs, Calamari Pasta and the premium Grass Fed Eye-Fillet steak cooked Medium Rare.

Now let’s start with the meatballs, first off the sauce was rich and flavoursome BUT that is the only complement. For $17 you get 3 meatballs at about the size of a 50cent piece, they were firm, dry and lacking flavour. To make matters worse they also contained a huge about of gristle, making the whole eating experience horrible. I am 2nd Generation Aussie with a huge Italian heritage, and have enjoyed all different styles of meatballs but these are one of the worst. Not to mention it could be easily seen that the meatballs were cooked separately and sauce added right at the end. A good meatball is partly cooked in the sauce to bind all the flavours together, also helps keep and lock in moisture.

The calamari pasta was not bad, pasta was well cooked, calamari was tender and not chewy, but we found it lacked flavour and the chilli bite was a little too overpowering. Don’t get me wrong I love my chilli, hot Thai and Indian dishes are some of my favourite. But it just seemed to overpower the delicate flavours. Personally I would like to see a little more flavour added or at least the addition of good fresh handmade pasta which will add to the texture and flavours of the dish.

Now to the Grass Feed Eye-Fillet Steak, first off I LOVE my steak and therefore am very critical of steak dishes. Not to mention it is not rocket science to cook a steak well, it’s in the Australian blood. I have no problem paying good coin for a great steak, cooked to perfection with a few small sides.
Now I ordered it medium-rare as I like a little pink in the centre and have found that most places still over-cook medium a faction, most likely due to the meal resting under heat lamps until serving. BUT when you receive a well-done cooked, 200g or less steak with a sprinkling of greens (3 broccolini), a tablespoon of gorgonzola sauce and what appeared to taste-like a fancier version of Smith Potato Chips on top, you question where and what my $44 dollars went too?! I mean, how you manage to severely over-cook a steak by that much and supply it with so little at that price range bewilders me. If you can’t do a good steak it is like failing basic cooking class 101.

Overall I don’t think I will find myself eating there again unless some serious improvements are implemented. However going there for a casual drink with mates and enjoying the ambiance, I would definitely consider as it is a very elegant surrounding (music could be turned down a little but who is complaining). Overall for food it definitely is Below Average for the level of quality expected however the service is definitely above average.

Gorgeous Gourmet Hawaiian Pizza with caramel salted macadamias. Yum!!! Best pizza on Hastings and great $22 lunch special - pizza with 2 drinks!

Overpriced pub food. Nice place to sit , although the music was a little monotonous. $44 eye fillet was cold. Hand cut chips overcooked. $39 moreton bay bug risotto was tasty, and perhaps a little undercooked, but there was one small bug on top, and after I had extracted the meat, there was barely two forkfuls in quantity. Pleasant staff, but not very attentive and good service was very slow. Friends had told me that this place could be a bit hit and miss, so we decided to give it a go, but it looks like we got a miss night, and this seems to be the trend for Miss Moneypennys.

Very disappointed with the service as we were moved to 3 different tables and were the last to be served during a set course meal AFTER they asked us of we had been served. The food was disappointing and service was sad. Happy to leave but couldn't find anyone to pay our tab. Disappointed.

Terrible service, front house letting back house down. We were in a party of 12 on a Thursday evening, predrinks fine, tables only meat for couples and when pushed together meant no access from the bench seat. this was not the problem. Drinks took over half an hour and we watched them get poured and sit on the bar for about 20 minutes. The food was good, however a celiac at the table insisted his meal was gluten free and not contaminated. On serving he was informed it could be contaminated on inquiry. The resolution was to remove the offending item and when asked for a replacement told this was not within the menu. Service took an incredible amount of time whilst some senior members of staff arranged furniture in the back ground. we could not leave early enough to take our business else where. They missed the same value of the meal in drinks after and as we all know that is where the margin is.

Ripoff! $18.50 for 2 coffees & a hot chocolate? We won't go back!
