Review Rococo - Noosa

YU
One lunch time we ordered a plate of appetizers and a prawn spaghetti , and a beer, also cafe and the girl serving was lovely, the spaghetti was very light salty but full of garlic. But this is a relaxing restaurant to enjoy a delightful sunny afternoon.

Food here was delicious. It was a wet and cold night; so the place was a bit chilly as it’s outside, but that can’t be helped. The waitress was excellent and the food was so yum and out in no time! The fondant takes a few mins in the oven but so worth the wait! Would highly recommend if you’re visiting Noosa!

Cocktails were nice but a bit small. Good vibe overall. Good for a family dinner or a date. It's also pet friendly but they'll sit you at the back.

Great spot right on Hastings Street and a fantastic selection of Italian delights. Good service too. and we will definitely be back on our next visit.

We were lucky enough to pick a quiet morning and where able to get a table on the path. Fabulous place for people watches like us to spend a lazy lunch. The staff were very friendly and fun. We got some icy cold schooners of the local brew from Heads Noosa the Japanese lager which I love and I’m not normally a beer drinker. We had had only planned to pop in for one but that turned into a few and then we thought the ploughmans platter sounded perfect to go with the beers and it was. That hot cob loaf was the best. Would recommend when on #hastingsstreet

This place knows how to delivery fine food and great cocktails. Excellent service to match the exceptional food.

We're locals and have been here quite a few times. Usually great but the last couple of visits have been very average and it's only to do with the staff. We understand there are staffing shortages but it doesn't mean you can be rude and arrogant to your guests, stand around talking to other staff members about your personal life mid way through taking orders/seating guests. Not one smile on any of the staff faces which makes being seated there a but awkward as you feel like something is up with the business that they're all very unhappy about. There is normally a gentlemen on the door who is great but he hasn't been in the last couple of times. We love this location and do want to come back, but we might give it a miss for a while unfortunately.

Wish I read the reviews before coming here! Like many other reviewers have written- the place was half empty with many tables free but yet we stood waiting to be seated or even acknowledged for 5 mins at the entrance. We had a muffin that completely lacked taste and some very bitter coffees with burnt milk! Would not recommend, would not come back. So many nicer places in Noosa.

Beautiful setting on Hastings street with lots of outdoor, covered seating and also tables on the street. We went at night and the place was beautifully lit with candles and fairy lights.
They had live music which was in French and Italian so we couldn't understand the words but it really gave the place an authentic European vibe.
Lovely cocktails and a solid Italian menu. We ordered a round of oysters both kilpatrick and natural - big meaty Coffin Bay oysters, delightfully fresh - highly recommended.
We shared the seafood spaghetti which was definitely large enough for the two of us. A good amount of well cooked seafood, nice al dente pasta and the right amount of sauce.
We also shared the lemon tart which was delicious and came with a beautiful fresh vanilla whipped cream.

The prices are on the high end which reflect its main street location in a tourist town, but I'd say they were in line with the other restaurants in the area.
Service was friendly but on the laid back side. We would go back again and I'd recommend making a booking during peak season.

Wonderful venue right at the centre of Noosa. Friendly staff who were very accommodating. They seated us at a table that we preferred. The food was just delicious and hit the spot after a day at the beach. The drinks list and menu is extensive with something to suit anyone.
James Young
We ordered the seafood linguini and the eye fillet steak. Linguini was ok, with a good amount of seafood and perfectly cooked large potions of calamari. Steak ordered “medium rare” but came out “well done” and sent back. Once it arrived as ordered was really good. Service was friendly and laid back.

As with many of the restaurants on Hastings St. the food pricing reflects that it’s a resort town with Rococo being no exception and at the richer end of pricing and staff like most of the establishments on the strip are often backpackers.

Set on a busy little corner this is an ideal spot to sit and watch the world go past. Staff seemed a little overwhelmed at times and sometimes this made service a bit hit and miss but food was fantastic and made up for the delays in drinks or ordering.
Anna001
Mushroom risotto was delicious- everything you could hope for in a mushroom risotto (especially loved the truffle). The chocolate fondant was sadly overcooked so there was no liquid pooling from the centre. Service was friendly
Hadley Fierlinger
Nice atmosphere sitting outside however there was live music which came on during our meal and it made me want to cry. 80s hits sung by a easy listening singer. 😖Our meals were a real let down. Stone cold cherry tomatoes featured heavily on our plates and while the food was prepared well, it lacked flavour. Very expensive and not worth it. Our server was very nice.
FurryBrownGuy
Excellent service and atmosphere with a mid afternoon band playing. Food came out quickly and the waitress was very attentive. Food was ok, pasta lacked a little oomph and the tuna was slightly dry. Other than that an overall good experience

called in for a light brunch after our drive from Brissy. Lovely friendly staff. Nice atmosphere, 2nd coffee for the day and it was very nice. Only complaint would be that it was very hot so a couple of fans would go a long way. Cannot really comment on the food as we only had a croissant.
Sherrypinkroses
Expensive, stingy, poor service, waited an hour for our meal and when it arrived we were disappointed. The ‘mushroom risotto’ with truffle oil was undercooked, had 4 small mushrooms, zero truffle flavour and loads of garlic - it should have been called garlic risotto. The steak was nice but minuscule like an entree. Would never go again.. even for free.

We visited Rococo for dinner tonight and were very disappointed! We had heard great things about this restaurant, so we thought we’ll give it a go. The kids pasta was so small that our kids had to order a second serving (I wish I had taken a photo of the meal!) They served our side dish of broccoli after 45 minutes and told us that our mains were 3 minutes away, but arrived 15 minutes later. We didn’t end up eating our mains, we paid for what we ate and left! I would never recommend this place. Staff were not friendly!
Lachlan
Avoid if possible we waited an hour and 20 minutes for our meal and then we were pressured into a tip .My tip is there are plenty of places in Hastings St to eat better than this one. When asked why out meals took that it was because we ordered a medium well done steak.
Adelarina
So we were served by literally the only unhappy person in Noosa. From greeting us with a ‘what do you want’, to telling us to sit wherever ‘it’s just as hot anywhere you sit’, to taking forever to take our order.
We never once received a smile or felt welcome. This may have been why the restaurant was on the empty side.
We ended up only having a few coffees and their fruit platter so we could high tail it out of there, which is a shame because I wanted to love all of Noosa - unfortunately we were let down by this one restaurant.
I’m sorry to say, but we won’t be back for round 2.

Don’t worry Noosa - I still love you!

Food and ambiance was amazing. Loved the live musician and the food was full of flavour and with good portion sizes. Would definitely come back here.

Most of the food is awesome. Service ok but very busy so you can get forgotten. Meals arrive in good time. Atmosphere and location fantastic.

Our group of 4 had a great night out here a few weekends ago! They had a spanish trio playing authentic spanish music... they were amazing! The food, service and cocktails/wine were all spot on and well worth the money we spent. Couldn't fault the food and, along with the entertainment and setting, it made for a really nice evening out. 2nd time there and will be going back next time we're in town 😊

> The big breakfast with bacon, avocado, eggs, potatoes + sausage and The Cinnamon & pear crepes with banana + cream and The Smoked trout on dark rye with poached eggs, cooked tomato, creme fraiche + herbs <

Today's breakfast was absolutely delicious! We tried an array of yummy meals that we typically would not get :) The big breakfast was one to demolish as the flavours were so juicy and well cooked. The smoked trout was cooked to perfection however it had a few too many bones for our liking, nevertheless it was overall delicious. Finally the crepes were incredible! The way in which the pears were poached made them taste so incredible! The rich flavours combined together made the overall taste so sweet and tasty 😋
Not to mention the cafe itself was beautiful with the vintage umbrellas out the front 😊
The breakfastpiggy team

Very average food. Ordered the scallops and snapper. No bread offered to start the meal. Snapper was fresh but sauce did not enhance the flavour. Fig and scallop combination did not go well.
Service was lacking in attentiveness. When we said we were not pleased about the slow service, the server did not seem to care about this.
Ambience was nice, but the table spacing was too tight.
Nicole Stone
We went here for a romantic dinner and had the worst salty steak that was inedible. There was so much salt in the gravy, rock salt on the steak - salt on the chips and pesto loaded with salt. Very disappointed for such a classy restaurant. Paid nearly $50 each for a meal that we couldn't eat. Crammed in like sardines - wasn't romantic at all. Musician playing was great though. Complained to manager but no response...

Took the family here for dinner on Saturday night and was impressed by the pasta we were served; matriciana, gnocchi and fettuccine carbonara were on par for the price we were charged- even though the portions appear on the smallish side they were quite filling. Wine list was extensive. Ambience was fantastic, chic yet welcoming and accommodating, you really have to go out of your way to get it wrong in such a prominent location, being across the road from the main beach. Great restaurant.

I recently ate here with family whilst on holidays and was absolutely appalled with the service and standard of food based on the price. We booked a table well in advance for 8pm but were not seated until 8.30 with no apology and then we were left without menus for 15 minutes. Maitre d finally came over, did not bother to greet us and told my friend to move her phone or he would smash it. Wait staff were slow to take orders, meals came out at all different times, entrees were average (we had calamari, fritters, tuna carpaccio and pork belly) and no one was overly thrilled by them, main meal steaks were all cooked inconsistently and when asked to have one steak cooked medium rare as asked (came out well done) was given attitude by waitress, no apology and was told "it will take a long time"... that's not my problem! Steak was average and quite tasteless as were the sides, wine glasses had chips and staff were hesitant to replace them, wait staff were very slack on asking for more drinks and clearing plates. All in all this restaurant was way over rated and it was a huge let down. With so many other beautiful restaurants in Noosa there is no way I would be returning for the mediocre, overpriced meals and rude service.

Poor service, unfriendly staff, worst experience ever, highly do not recommend for family with young kids

Waitress at the entrance was very unfriendly - no smile, no proper greeting, we felt very unwelcomed. We weren't bring picky with which restaurant to go to since we were after a couple of drinks only. We ordered several drinks including a babycino for my daughter. She put a spoonful in her mouth and spat it out immediately. I also tasted the babycino to see if it was melted marshmallow inside it, but it was actually mint chewing gum stuck along the inside of the cup. Utterly disgusted and shocked, I called the waitress and explained and showed her the gum inside the babycino. She said, "Sorry" but in a very shallow way and took the dirty-gum-filled-babycino away. We were expecting a new babycino to come out asap since it was their fault. The ugly mint taste would not go away from my daughter's mouth and mine and it was upsetting my daughter very much. I eventually went up to the waitress and asked her what was going on and that I'd rather cold milk instead of a new babycino since I wanted to leave asap. The waitress was very rude and became very defensive the gum babycino - saying that she doesn't understand how that could happen and was being very suspicious with us. I told her that we did not chew or have any types of gum with us but she just rolled her eyes. When paying at the counter, the man there (either he's the manager or the boss or something) asked what the problem was. After hearing the issue, his attitude was the same as the waitress - defensive, rude and unapologetic. Very unprofessional manner of the staff members at this restaurant. If you're after drinks with gum inside it - then this is the place to go. A simple and proper apology would have made me less upset - but no, you became defensive and made it worse.
Such great location but very poor and ugly service. Does not deserve to be operating there.

We had a lovey breakfast here on our first morning in Noosa. I had the smoked trout, big portion and would definitely recommend it. We also went back at night for a cocktail and a dance with the love singer on the piano.

Wasn't sure what to expect of Rococo after reading some of the reviews but thankfully it exceeded my expectations! Had dinner here on our stay in Noosa and sat right on the street. Food and wine delicious - the chilli prawns and garlic ciabbati is a must. Probably the best meal I had in Noosa. Staff were a little distracted though and the live music didn't really fit with the vibe. Portions are also tiny but all in all great food!!

I was pretty excited to finally get a table at this restaurant, after looking at the menu numerous times.
It was such a shame that I didn't even get the pleasure of trying their food as me and my partner had been waiting for food to arrive for about 40mins. During this time we had only been served our drinks and no one had even checked on us or let us know why our food was late. In cases like this for such a highly noted restaurant, they should be taking care of their guests and even putting some bread out or informing guests of delays on meals.
The staff were apologetic when we got up and waived our drink fees too!
So.... maybe if I hear that the service will improve, I might just go back otherwise for now, I won't be recommending this place to my friends :/

When we finished wondering beach of Noosa, we decided to have coffee and just relax and people watch. We saw heaps of seats outside of Rococo and decided to plonk our tooshies down here. We were served immediately and they didn’t assume that we wanted to have lunch or dinner but asked if we were having drinkies. Baby A and I got the ice coffee and my gosh it was beautiful. It had such a strong coffee flavour and when you mix in the ice cream and cream, it sweetened it up and that was absolutely perfect for me. Daddy Bear loved it but he already had a cappuccino in front of him.

Unfortunately we had a very disappointing breakfast at Rococo. Poached eggs were overdone on the trout dish and not much avocado on the avocado plate. Our 3 year olds scrambled eggs were served with cracked pepper all over it which makes it pretty hard to make her eat and it cost $75! Such a shame as it looks to offer the goods!

The food was nice the service was good! But in terms of what we paid and what we got.. I was hoping for more. Like I said good food and service but they charge ALOT for just good?
AliveAndKickin
This is the 3rd time we have been to this place, loved it every time. Today we had 2 steak sandwiches which were perfect. The staff are super friendly and always seem to care about your experience.

Fabulous food and service. The soft cheese fritters were a little bite of heaven. I recommend the snapper and suckling pork in a heartbeat. Beautifully cooked and amazing flavours. The band were amazing a bit too loud in the space to enjoy conversation. Highly recommend!

Service was absolutely fantastic, but charging $7 dollars for a 330ml bottle of Coke is plain ridiculous. That was actually $1 less than Sangria!

Again, the service was so good that it elevated the overall experience.

When everywhere else in the main strip of Noosa is packed, I can see why this place is almost empty. The service is painfully slow, even for the drinks. Some members of our group didn't get their drinks until well after Breakfast had been consumed. Meals weren't cooked as requested eg hard eggs were served & ended up having runny yolks. The place looks lovely but I believe people are voting with their feet & walking straight past this one to somewhere else.

Staff Confusion, need training in basic customer service, half meals came out within 10 minutes the other half we are still waiting for 40 min later and having asked 4 times...with only one wait person to come back and provide a status update... Shocking!!
Fallen Highway
Yea not good - I had an overloaded garlic pizza - the kids meal of fish n chips had chilli powder in the batter. I'll never go back. Only positive I have is that the service was friendly but way too casual.
Always_eating
Disappointing - especially given that every other meal in Noosa was delightful. Service was friendly but erratic, and they forgot to put in one dinner order... By the time it arrived all the other diners had already finished their meals. Crab fritters were delicious but other meals were average or just not good. Kids spaghetti was generous portion but sadly flavourless. Very expensive -will not be back.
Sarah Farmer
Tasteless and over priced. Won't be back. Very disappointing, the veal tasted like it was frozen and the carbonara had no taste what so ever.
Gagingi
Nice ambience with wood heaters, good seating, and live music. The service was good, but unfortunately the food was quite average. We won't rush back.

Beautiful meal, very overpriced. We dined at Rococo last night after wanting to try it out for quite some time, and it was lovely. The ciabatta confit garlic entrée was simple yet delicious, and my chicken was lovely and flavoursome (although a little dry). My partner got the steak which was one of the nicest we have both ever had, and the Paris mash was to die for! The chocolate fondant and baked pineapple cheesecake desserts were both nice, however nothing that knocked your socks off. It was a nice meal and perfect portion sizes, however way to overpriced for the calibre of service and meals. I would pay $40+ for the steak, however my chicken although nice was not worth the money, nor were the $19 each desserts!! Service was very average, and the bathrooms were very run down for the price of the restaurant. I understand it is on Hastings Street, however there are plenty of other places next door and on the waterfront which are just as good (if not better), and a lot better value for money.
Uncle Grandpa
Very disappointing - ordered the Lobster Risotto and to say it lacked flavor is an understatement. The rest of the meal was ok but when you screw up a $42 Main that bad there's no coming back.
Andy Holt
Very disappointing. For the location and price of Rococo you would expect to receive a meal that is appealing to the eye and flavoursome. Although the meals look good the food is far from tasty.

Our group ate breakfast here one Saturday morning and were disappointed to find our meals far from what the menu promised.

The buttermilk pancakes were lacking colour and flavour, the strawberries didn't appear washed and were full of blemishes and the maple was hard to taste.

The corn fritters were extremely dry, lacking any flavour and the poaches eggs had dry yolks.

The big breakfast was far from that and more of a plate full of canned mushrooms.

The coffee wasn't too bad but still overpriced like the rest of the meals.
Vicki Walmsley
Disappointing!. We went for dinner last night and were very disappointed. We had walked past many times and finally decided to give it a go after 2 visits to Noosa. The man who greeted us looked us up and down and appeared to look down his nose at us. We were not dressed up but we also did not look like beach bums. He appears to be the manager or owner. He struggled to smile the entire night until the very last when he realised we were prepared to spend a reasonable amount of money. At least that is the impression we got. Our waitress treated us with the same disdain. She was very unfriendly and unable to smile. Quite different to the young lady serving the tables next to us. Our food was also disappointing. We ordered share dishes because we had a large lunch. The bruschetta was good but then so it should be, not technically difficult. The arancini were tasteless and quite small, 3 on the plate. The whitebait fritters were actually fried whitebait. Good but not fabulous. The carpaccio kingfish was tasteless even with all the dressing and accompaniments, such a shame as it is a dish I have enjoyed elsewhere so often. Th entertainment was enjoyable and enticed us enough to stay for that extra drink or two but we would not bother returning. Overrated and there are better places to go in Hastings Street.

A great restaurant with great staff, location and food. Thoroughly enjoyed a number of dishes from the antipasti menu and the chocolate fondant was divine. A definite must visit on Hastings street.

Very average food

Bad services No seasoning .... Bad services
No seasoning on food

Really disappointing! Service was friendly & attentive. We waited at the bar before being seated & really enjoyed the atmosphere created by the live musician and a beautiful warm evening.

We ordered entrees & mains, the beef carpaccio is a must! Absolutely beautiful! Unfortunately that's where the positive feedback ends.

The white bait were flavourless, and the portion tiny. For main I ordered the lobster tail with pea & prawn risotto. What a letdown! To say the risotto was unseasoned would be a compliment. There wasn't a trace of prawn or pea in flavour. It really was just gluggy rice. And to the main event, the lobster was overlooked & under seasoned. No doubt it was fresh, however it was just bland. Even adding the bisque over the dish didn't help, just made it oily!

My partner had the scaloppine veal. The flavour of the meat would have been quite nice if not for being way too oily. Capers, peppers & rocket were equally as average.

For a bill just shy of $200 (we had a bottle of wine) this was extremely disappointing. I would go back for a glass of wine & the beef carpaccio in the afternoon but certainly wouldn't have a meal here.

Why is this place still going?. A pitiable and meagre attempt at a French/Italian restaurant. We went there on our final night of our holidays recently expecting great service, food and atmosphere but were so disappointed. It was a rainy night and we were looking for somewhere along Hasting St for dinner. We decided on Rococo as we had been eating mostly down the Noosa Woods end of Hasting St and decided for our final night we wanted something special. Boy what a letdown. We walked in only to be stared at by 3-4 waiters before one finally approached us 5 minutues later and pointed to a table. My girlfriend and I ordered the fettuccine carbonara and were let down by the first taste. Bland, tasteless, how can you get a classic like this so badly wrong? It came with an egg yolk on top of the pasta, which was the only nice thing on the plate. The pasta was chewy and had a lot of flour used. We found huge chunks of onions about 1 - 2cm cubed throughout the pasta. Bacon was limited to one or two pieces throughout. At the bottom of the plate there were whole peppercorns. When we fronted the waiter he just said "sorry" and took our plates away only to return with the dessert menus. We noticed the table sitting next to us had ordered the choc fondant, and had had only a bite before deciding it was wrong as well, and from their reaction decided to skip dessert completely. Our bill came to $67 (I had a glass of wine) but to pay $30+ for shockingly bad pasta, service and atmosphere when there are so many better places to have dinner on Hasting St or throughout Noosa, why is this place still going?

Bad start to our Noosa holiday. We arrived from Melbourne starving, we dumped our bags and set off to look for a bite to eat...most places were busy but Rococo wasn't and now we know why!!
Just because you put an overload of garlic in every dish doesn't make it "French". The food was bland and the price was expensive, service was slow but friendly. We did read previous reviews before we ate at Rococo however we gave it the benefit of the doubt...better luck tomorrow.

A pleasant way to spend a Friday. We had run away from the G20 and spent a week in Alex Headlands. On the Friday the wind picked up and it was too windy for the beach, so we decided on a drive to Noosa for a late lunch and landed at Rococo. I think the location is lovely right on the corner with good people watching from the shady tables under the large awnings. We also found it pleasantly cool with a lovely breeze on a hot afternoon.

I ended up ordering the gnocchi with mushrooms and hubby went for the ploughman's lunch - mine with a lovely crisp sav blanc and hubby had a cider. Both our meals were delicious - the gnocchi was beautifully made, fresh and just the right amount of chewiness yet melt in the mouth. The accompanying mushroom sauce was divine - a good assortment of mushrooms and plenty of them. Hubby's ploughmans was also great - although you can't really go wrong with some cheese, ham and bread - the only odd thing was that what we thought were picked onions appeared to actually be picked garlic. Which was a little odd - but he still ate them nevertheless - boy was he smelly the next day though.

My only disappointment was that I had deliberately chosen a light lunch as I planned to enjoy the passionfruit tart for desert - unfortunately they had run out so I was left with my mouth watering, but no joy. We ended up across the road for some frozen yoghurt instead.

The service was pleasant and attentive and in all it was a lovely way to spend a Friday afternoon.
Glenn Sullivan
Absolutely terrible service. 5 items spilt during our dinner.
Food average at best.
If you took this restaurant from its location to the back streets, it would die a quick death. Say no more
Rjwoodjill
Worst dinner of our holiday. Had dinner at Rococos last night and left feeling disappointed. The scallops in the antipasto course were still part frozen and the blinis were minuscule. The pork main course was ok but the veal was unrecognisable as veal and seemed to be hamburger patties served with some tired lettuce. The service was polite but very slow. We will not be coming back nor will we be recommending the restaurant to any of our friends
Glyn
Nice lunch sorry about diner. My wife and i had lunch and had the antipasto plate for two with a bottle of sav. blanc.

The platter was great value and had very interesting flavours. The staff were also very good.

We decided to meet some friends here later in the week for a light late supper as we had such a great lunch time experience.

we enjoyed the antipasto so much we ordered it again with the same sav blanc. I can not begin to explain the difference in the quantity of the same platter and the substantial increase in the cost of the bottle of wine.

It was also very notable the difference in the standard of service. Lunch was relaxed and enjoyable, with attentive staff, however diner was unstructured with waitstaff not know what table meals were for. We had to keep turning other patrons meals away and so was the other tables in our general area.

Loved the the live music. The pianist set the jazz mood.
Jane Dean
My family and I had 4 really delicious mains here last night. I had the Crispy Skinned Duck Maryland, YUM! The live music also gives this place a great atmosphere.
Stories
Terrible service on Sunday mornings. We thought this place was going to be good, but seriously, waiting for 15 minutes to get served, then waiting an hour for our breakfast which was then just above average. We are only in noosa for a couple of days and this ruined our morning. They didn't even offer a discount to apologise.

Disappointing.
Onroute66
Best part is the sit around Bar.. I've eaten here and its expensive. One evening I went with 3 other guests, we all ordered fish and it took 1.5 hours to be served and it cost a fortune!
On the other hand I've been here many times just to sit at the bar and order drinks - that's always a good experience.
Tom Alderson
Me and my boyfriend went for breakfast, whilst I had the exquisite big breakfast that had exceptional mushrooms my other half had the wild mushroom omelette that was equally splendid. This restaurant is well worth a visit.
Bnev
They just don't care!. My friend and I ate at Rococo last weekend. We were excited to try this restaurant because of the location and friendliness we received when we booked. When we arrived the service was good however my main course of meatballs was served warm-ish. Not a big problem but when my friend found a sharp bone in her fish we informed the waitress who said 'we de bone ourselves so it's just bad luck'...no apology or offer of complimentary starters or drinks. She didn't even let the chef know! I've watched enough Masterchef to know bones are a big no no! We emailed the manager afterwards to let him know but no reply so I can only conclude...they just don't care about their customers!

:-). Best breaky ever!! Thanks Colleen ,wonderful service!!!!

Over priced, below average food. Both my friend and I had seafood pasta dishes that were both very bland. Definitely not going back there.

Bad experience, won't be going back. Really very disappointing.

My partner and I called earlier in the day to book a reservation, all was well. When we turned up, we were greeted with confusion, and then asked to wait by the bar for ten minutes until we could "have a table made up for us". Booking ahead usually should accommodate for this.

At the bar, I wasn't approached by any of the four bartenders for at least five minutes, and when I was, the bartender was awfully rude and chatted with a friend whilst holding my cocktail after making it. No apology whatsoever.

Finally my partner had to go and ask AGAIN for our table - no apologies, again. Weren't approached at our table for 15 minutes, no introduction or apologies from our server. I had champagne popped at a table behind me and it sprayed all over my back. Food was definitely average.

DO NOT EAT HERE.
Taras.di
A bit pricey but nice food, but the nice location means the service is terrible.
John Smith
Where do I start? Let's just get straight to the food. Entree: oysters, bruschetta and Jamon. Each dish was absolutely below average, the oysters were almost off, infact left one behind it was too close to call. The bruschetta had a really weird taste and the Jamon was warmed up? Which gave it a really strange taste. Having tried Jamon in Spain, Europe and Australia, all I knew was that it didn't taste that way. We didn't eat much. Then came mains, a bug and prawn risotto and a spaghetti aglio e olio. The risotto was completely over cooked and had an awful flavour, the seafood this time was ok, but given it was a risotto, the dish was completely inedible. The spaghetti was slightly over cooked, but strangely enough the garlic was under cooked, so the dish tasted of raw garlic (not nice), tried to kill it with Parmesan, but even that didn't work. All in all settled the bill, got an apology from the waitress and walked out. Suffice to say, I could never recommend this restaurant.
Pete10
Great service but food was just average. Small serves for big price, mains wern't hot barely warm. Just fuel.,
Phil
Rococo's is not the place to go if you are hungry. It is over priced and little food. We queried the so called main sized gnocchi and were told it's very filling, I am not sure how seven small pieces of gnocchi a couple of mushrooms and 4 pieces of diced pumpkin can fill you up. Admittedly after the query they halved the price of the so called main. I was embarrassed that I even counted them just to prove a point shouldn't have to do that.
Tania McIntyre
Loved every minute. Whilst holidaying in Noosa we had the pleasure of dining at Rococos and the whole experience was fantastic. The ambiance, service and quality of food is all through the roof! Albeit some may say Rococos is a little pricey - but if you want top notch food you can't go past it as the no.1 romantic restaurant in Noosa. After dinner treat yourself to a cocktail or a glass of wine at the Rococo bar - the cocktails are strong, and the bar staff inviting and incredibly fun. All in all a wonderful experience - highly recommended!!

The ULTIMATE in Noosa. After a 3 week holiday in Noosa I think we came in around 8 times... as we seriously loved this place.

Sure, it's expensive yet the vibe, the feel of utter relaxation and the amazing staff meant we came back over and over again. Usually with higher priced establishments you get the absolute foul attitude of staff (think Moneypennys) yet Rococco staff were so lovely and friendly. Always had time for us and always made us feel welcome.

The drink list is one of the best I've seen and I love the whole sustainable wine list and the Rose list; some of the best wines I have drank and they never batted an eyelid when I asked for my wine with ice!

The cocktails were the best we've had and the espresso martini was my new favourite.

Food was great, whether you came in for lunch or dinner. I had the steak 4 times and I don't usually like steak but this was amazing. The blue cheese bacon butter, the confit shallots and the mash potato was the best food I've ever had.

The Gnocchi was a bit small for a serve for dinner but when you have the chocolate fondant and a few cheeses for dessert you forget as they were divine.

For lunch we had the chicken Caesar salad which was a large serve of fresh chicken and lettuce with all the trimmings and the chicken focaccia (forgot the name) was fantastic, Such a good serve for lunch.

Overall this was our absolute favourite place in Noosa. Loved every moment here and we can't wait to come back for Easter!!

Fantastic food, service , entertainment. Can't fault it. Will be back.

I am surprised by the negative reviews, I have dined there a dozen times and all have been a positive experience. The staff are very attentive, the beer is cold, the food is delicious. The chargrilled octopus was very tender, the spatchcock was melt in your mouth and full of flavour. Great venue!

Had a large dinner reservation here and whilst most meals were very good there was an issue with one. When it was brought to the waitstaff attention they were very defensive, arrogant and made us feel as though we had imagined that the food was not cooked right. They need a much better chef if they believe their food to be perfection

Paid top dollar for below average food. The pork belly was cold, chewy and the crackle was soft. The pasta was cold and had to send it back, and I paid $39 for linguine marinara, it had 3 pippies.....fish bait and three prawns. Bloody disgraceful
Michael
Overpriced ridiculously small servings! The tin of sardines for entree was bizarre I could have got same from Coles for $1.99

Fabulous. Last night in this Mecca of fine food( & more importantly great service). Booked Rococos for our last night & my birthday. Everything about this place is A1, the dude playing the piano who plays about 5 other instruments is just exceptional. You would come here just to listen to him. Our food was just as good& the sommelier a young bloke who knows his stuff was a delight to talk to. If he didn't know he would say so. All in all this place is number one in a Mecca of fine dining & service. We will be back & next time we will spend the night listening to this dude & stretching out the meal. Top marks.

Food was very nice, fresh oysters, good cocktails and great view. Shame about the staff, we asked 5 waiters if there was a special and none knew the menu. We had a large group (10 ppl) and ordered most things off the menu. We ordered two of the barramundi, one of them was very nice - the other had bones throughout, which was obvious that it wasn't deboned and was practically inedible. We mentioned it to one of the waiters who simple acknowledged then walked away not telling the chef. We eventually got hold of the manager who at first apologised then left the meal at the table and did not offer a replacement. When we asked for the bill they had not made an adjustment with the fish being taken off - when this was brought to the managers attention he pretty much told us off and said he wouldn't take it off the bill (we paid $700 all up) couldn't believe this. Pretty much lost it - the fact that he had so much attitude and all the staff had no idea what they were doing and regardless how much we spent. Will never go back. Never been so upset with service.

Hastings St in Noosa is laughably expensive, so my husband and I thought we might as well go fine dining and receive good food in exchange for our money unlike previous experiences on Hastings. We tried Rococo. The food was just lovely - beef cheeks were delicious, my husband had veal ragu pappardelle, which was nice though a little bland and pepper seemed to be the main ingredient. The wait staff were pleasant and attentive, except for the man who took our order... He was very snooty and gave my husband a sour look because we said no to ordering wine (teetotallers). It was so funny and cartoonish to us, it added to the experience. All in all, a fairly good time (especially the multi-instrumentalist live entertainment), and most importantly, good food.

Incredibly unpleasant experience. Seated in pathway on lopsided table when better seats sat empty. The meals arrived 4 minutes after we ordered...Veal pappardelle was pasta drowning in water. My partners steak was cold. I asked the waiter to take it away clearly offended by it. He still argued the bill when we said we weren't paying for the pasta at the end. Great live music but rude service & terrible food. Not a pleasant Saturday night dinner out especially when you pay those prices.

You owe it to yourself to dine here!. Dinner tonight with two friends, both of whom raved about the experience we had at Rococo. Waiters were helpful and happy to make recommendations on the menu. Food was magnificent, I had the pasta with chicken, pumpkin and prosciutto - pasta Cooked perfectly and the flavours were insane! The side salad was perfect and the house cut chips are a meal in themselves. Great vibe with the live music and the mood lighting. One of the best on Hastings St.

After not booking a table for a Saturday, after a one glass of wine wait at the bar (nice Pinot Gris) we got a comfy table. Bruschetta w goats cheese nice, pork belly cooked perfect, and service attentive and versed in menu. Thanks

Jazz festival. Not only did they charge $30 per person for a table, the food was horrible and
Expensive.

Went for dinner midweek, Food average, service disappointing and rude, live music good

The price for this unedable meal was a joke what a take on . I live here and it was shameful that they can dish up such aweful food and get away with it Needs to looked into

The food was lovely! I ordered the beef cheek gnocchi which was silky and delicious. My partner had the suckling pig. The waiters were friendly and helpful. The piano player did a beautiful job with the music. The ambience of the restaurant is enjoyable. A very good experience. We are out of towners but willl come back!

Simply disgusting. Service was appaling, all we wanted was a hot coffee and eggs and bacon, too much to ask for it would seem!
breakfast served and after one mouth full was sent back because it was cold and over cooked, coffee was also luke warm. not even offered salt and pepper.
HEY MR OR MRS OWNER WHAT ARE YOU THINKING!!!
CLEARLY DONT GET IT, WORST EXPERIENCE!!!! SHOULD HAVE GONE TO MACCAS!!!

What a delight!. Well I'm so glad I did not check reviews for this place like I usually do before trying somewhere new- We had fabulous meals in a fantastic atmosphere. Our pasta dishes were delicious and had such a lovely balance of flavours. I can't fault the service, and the entertainment (singer Mia Wray) was great! Definitely happy to give Rococo a great review- the negative reviews I've just read give the impression this place has a 'bad vibe'- but I just didn't see it during my visit.

We went to Rococo for dinner on a Saturday night as we had heard quite good things.
It was disappointing. The menu was limited, with no vegetarian main meals offered that were not pasta dishes.
So we opted for a variety of entrees for the table.
Although I had let the wait staff know I was vegetarian, they 'forgot' to serve us the vegetarian entree item we had ordered. With no apology.
The food was salty and waitstaff would not allow us to have a water jug on the table!
Terrible and overpriced.
Would not recommend.

Read the reviews and wasn't expecting much... BUT ... WOW! Great food, great service, great experience! Sizzling prawns and meatball entree tasty. Suckling pig main.. Sublime!! Service, informed and perfect!
JW
Amazing live music, great blood orange and almond brûlée and a perfect Mitch Martini cocktail. Service was extremely enthusiastic, prompt and friendly. Lovely atmosphere.

Decided to try this place out for desert, but instead got turned away by the owner. Racially discriminated when there's plenty of tables around. Will not recommend or be going back to it. Unacceptable and disgusting!
Sav
Dropped in for a pre dinner entree and wine - the sizzling prawns, oysters Kirkpatrick and BBQ bug were all great. Spewing a bit that we couldn't stay for a main but there's always next time.

Rococo rocks,. Great night! Enjoyed the meal, the vibe and the people - second week running! Would definately reccommend it as a venue for a great night out (and we've seen many).

Great live music but appalling bar service in regards to customer service and drink quality.
Jess
Angus beef with mushroom butter was delicious as we're the sides. Great service and atmosphere.
Brent Clayton
These guys need to lift their game big time. Good atmosphere with live music. The food was below average. I ordered suckling pig with baked apple gorgonzolla etc and it was bad, a massive lump of pork roll and a couple of raw 1/4s of Granny Smith that had been touched on a grill.
I would not recommend to anyone other than to have some drinks and listen to the live music

If this is the last place open on Hastings St, I'd suggest going hungry. The first night of our three day stay in Noosa, we were laughed at when we asked for a table. Despite this, we made a reservation for the following night. Arrived a few minutes late and waited nearly ten minutes only to be seated between the band, the bar and a table full of young guys making as much noise as possible. The waitress looked at us with disgust when we asked if we could change tables as we were here for a romantic weekend away. We ended up finding a wonderful dinner elsewhere.

Highly disappointing. I was extremely disturbed with the service here, after making reservations we had to wait 10 minutes for our table when there were clearly 3 open tables available. After we sat down, no one ever came to give us water or menus, after about 15 minutes I was furious already. For the kind of ambiance and price they are charging I would expect more service and experienced waiters! First of all what waiters??! We had no service, a young rude girl came to take our order, she clearly had no idea on the menu & wine list. When she was setting down our utensils she was reaching over us and not sure where to put things playing back and forth... Back and forth. When the entrees came the dishes were all placed in front of the wrong people, if they knew what they were doing it would of been all good! Mains finally arrived, the portion was decent but it wasn't satisfying. I can't believe no one ever came to ask how our food was, not to mention fill our water. Unbelievable! I've had way better experiences at many different places, what a disappointment, poor food...poor service = bad dinner!

Fantastic service, fast and very friendly. Great atmosphere with live piano. We had the duck risotto and the pepper steak. Decent sized servings and very strong flavours! Great meal and would recommend a visit.
Kate Manion
Good pasta but.... Our meals were delicious and service was prompt, however it was a shame about the view - i.e the waiter going up to his girlfriend sitting at the bar and snogging her on several occasions whilst he was working! Unprofessional and not very classy!!
Meo
Very surprised by the current rating. We decided to ignore the 60% rating as we had a very nice meal here on a previous trip. So glad we did as we had some of the best food we have had in Noosa this time around. We enjoyed it so much that we have been back 3 times on this trip! The prosciutto, pear and blue cheese salad is to die for!
Gabriel Mak
Our waiter did not know the concept of hospitality. Plain rude. Unacceptable.
