Review Gusto - Noosaville

Wesley D.
This restaurant is a must if you’re in the Noosa area. It is an upscale place, with prices to match, but the whole experience is worth it. The view was amazing, with the waterfront complimented only by the modern touches of the interior. Service was impeccable, with all staff being attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. Of course, the food was amazing, presented well with a fabulous balance of flavours. Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to tantalise their senses.

The food was excellent and so was the service. We had the whole bbq fish which was served with broccoli almond butter and fennel slaw, which was really delicious. We also had Freshly shucked Tasmanian Oysters...A must have if you like Oysters The setting is wonderful..Highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent as always! I never miss an occasion to dine at Gusto with my friends or family every single time I travel from Brisbane! Great location near to the river, the food is fresh, tasty and well presented. Staff are friendly and professional. Highly recommended!

We had another wonderful dining experience. The food and service was once again amazing! We had the comfit duck leg salad and lemon tart. Tim and his wonderful team never fail to please us.

The scenery was beautiful even on a really rainy Noosa evening. The service was great and attentive. The food was beautiful! Loved our night out here!

We travel from the Gold Coast to Noosaville just to go to Gusto Riverfront Restaurant. Wow wow wow this restaurant never fails to impress. With an extensive food and beverage menu - you will need to go back and try everything on the menu (as we have done). Tim and the team provide exceptional service - they are always helpful in explaining the menu or matching wines. They also have fabulous events throughout the year, we recently had a long lunch for Bastille Day and would give a 10/10! A wonderful dining experience for lunch or dinner overlooking the beautiful Noosa River.

When we first arrived I was apprehensive as the first waitress was abrupt and a bit rude. We were sat at the back of the restaurant which was great as it was not as loud. Our waitress for the night was Penny, and she made up tenfold for the initial waitress. She was lovely and attentive. What an asset to a business. We wouldn’t have stayed for dessert if it wasn’t for her, in all honesty the restaurant wouldn’t have been given a 5 star review if it wasn’t for Penny. What an utter delight she was to deal with. I will be asking to be seated in her section next time. If you like an early dinner, planning ahead for a reservation is a must. We booked the morning of for 8pm and called later to see if there was a cancellation and we were changed to 7:45pm. We had the bug sliders, bread with truffle butter and the crab spaghettini which were all fresh and tasty. The crème brulee was delicious too.

Thank you for our wonderful meal. We all thoroughly enjoyed our visit and food. The slow-cooked shoulder of lamb was delicious as were the desserts. Service first class. Will definitely be back.

We came to Gusto because it had been recommended by a taxi driver earlier in the day. We didn’t book, but secured a table fairly quickly. The menu was nice but not particularly inspiring – not one of those menus where you can’t decide because everything sounds amazing. I hadn’t eaten oysters for a while so I chose half a dozen and my partner chose a smoked trout and potato pancake with beetroot relish, horseradish and dill butter.

Awesome seafood dinner!

Every dish at Gusto is a delightful discovery. They are all original and wonderful!
The wine list, while not enormous, is very thoughtful - even discerning. A selection of all good bottled wines - reasonably priced. Wines by the glass - good, but a tad over-priced. Spirits and liqueur selection is adequate - if not outstanding... eg no Islay Scotch.
Staff are professional and know their stuff.

We had a lovely lunch here. I came because of the reviews and was not disappointed at all.
Spatchcock was fantastic! Salads ect were great also. Try the chocolate pudding. I'm not a sweet tooth (my wife is!) but the burnt caramel was awesome and the home made vanilla ice cream was delicious.
The staff were really lovely and relaxed and we had a very enjoyable experience as a result! Even had a baby with us that wasn't particularly settled so it ended well!
Can't beat a location like this really either on the side of the river!

I'd rate Gusto as the best place I've eaten on Gympie Terrace. Friendly staff, brisk service, enough seafood on the menu to remind you that you're on the coast, and tasty light meals with flair

Seafood chowder is back & the bread & butter pudding - just fantastic

We only came here for dessert after Flux only had one dessert option on their menu. All three desserts were ok but sponge pudding’s a little hard. Service was so-so, we much preferred Sirocco next door!

Awesome Eye Fillet. Eye fillet so good we came back again the next day. Service is great, food is great, good selection of wine at reasonable prices. Will likely try to squeeze another meal in here before we head home.

Great location, service, food and wine list. Only thing that let it down was the lack of local or independent craft beer options.

Visited Gusto in 2013 xmas, returned oct 2014 and was once again very happy with the excellent food. The salmon dish I had today was sensational and followed up with the strawberry and white chocolate cheesecake. We have the cookbook and have now purchased a further two for family. Keep up the good work Gusto!

ANOTHER GREAT MEAL. We have been in Noosa now for 8 nights and had 8 melas that ranged from good to exceptionally good. Gusto is definitely in the exceptionally good category. We had a really enjoyable and satisfying meal. Evelyn started with the greens "side dish" as an entree while I had the seafood and leek chowder. I like soups to be hot and asked the waiter to make sure it was. It was hot, full of delicious and fresh seafoods. The potato and leek base was buttery which made the whole entree just brilliant. Main meal for Evelyn was the eye fillet with mushrooms and a rich jus. Evelyn asked for extra mushrooms instead of potato and she received a BIG extra lot. Her meat was rare as aked and unbelievably tender. I liked the very sharp steak knife she was given. Some places think a steak knife shaped implement does not have to be sharp BUT IT DOES! I ordered the grilled barramundi fillet on green beans. It was tender, well served and juicy. A little small for me but it was a regular serving and enough. I just like big servings!
The service was efficient and friendly. We have NOT had a bad service experience so far in the 8 meals in Noosa. This will become one of our regular places when here. We may have to come longer than 2 weeks so we can go to all the places we want to!!!!!!!!!

Went to gusto after closed on Anzac Day - worth the wait! Sat at the front table looking over the lagoon. Some of the best pasta I've ever had - ordered the pumpkin tortellini and the prawn ravioli. Friendly service. A must when travelling to Noosa!!!

I was originally going to like Gusto, but then I went to Ricky's and all the small things started to add up. I paid the same for my meals yet Gusto lacked finesse. Service was efficient, meals times quick but things like menus in plastic sleeves, no linen on the table and the food flavours and presentation really made Gusto an ok but not great experience.

A must when visiting Noosa. This establishment is a must whenever we are in Noosa. Have eaten breakfast! lunch and dinner here and all food always perfect.
The service is great and a beautiful location to boot.

Consistently good food and excellent service. We have had lunch here three times in the past two months and have been impressed with the prices and standard of the food. There is a great lunch special of a main course with a glass of wine, which one or both of us have taken each visit. This place ticks all the boxes for us, great value, good service and good food.

Perfect every time. Awesome service. Food always sensational. Must try soft centred chocolate pudding. To die for. Amazing restaurant.

Had an excellent meal. Location on Noosa River is tops.

Went back for dinner on 20/06/15. Seafood, potato and leek chowder was something special. None of the airs if fine dining but service was good and food was excellent. Will be back.

Back again for long lunch on 28/4/17. Really good enjoyable long lunch looking over the Noosa river. Ravioli was superb. Really relaxing.

Happy Jan!. This was our first dining experience outside of Hastings St on this trip to Noosa and we were not disappointed. Excellent food and very friendly staff. You get a lot more value for money when you stray from the main drag.

Have been here a number of times & the food never disappoints. Delicious meals tonight- oven roasted figs with proscuitto & goats curd was a perfect starter. I loved the creme brulee as well. Service was good.

Wish that urban spoon had a 5 star rating system so that I could give Gusto six out of five. Wonderful food, lovely service and a fantastic atmosphere. Highly recommended as a break from the bustle of Hastings St.

Nice!. Went for lunch and then dinner two days later, and their offerings on the menu were largely unchanged. Loved the potato gnocchi with gorgonzola sauce and burnt sage, but I envision this dish better served as an entree, because the rich dressing can be a bit overwhelming. Also loved the duck liver pate with brioche and onion jam--simply satisfying.

Not that great really and a bit overpriced for the quality of the food. I had the cuttlefish which ok, but lacked garnish and was way too big for an entree. The eye fillet for main was good. Overall a bit overpriced and there are better options available on the same street.

Cuttlefish!. A surprising find just outside Noosa, and worth the trip. Cuttlefish had come highly recommended, and both parents and a happy 7 year old all had it - big servings, deliciously pan-fried. Paying ridiculous prices for a single serving of very basic warm bread still rankles, although it's forgiveable with serving sizes like these. I just wish they'd differentiate themselves from the pack and make bread complimentary - it's almost insulting to have to pay $7-10 for clearly store-bought bread when other capital cities make it on-site, bottomless and free.

Delicious! Highly recommend to anyone who appreciates great food and great service. Fish of the day and lemon tart were superb. One of the best in noosa.
