Review Red Emperor - Noosaville

Hands down best chips and potato scallops I have ever had! Potato scallops were thick and very nicely cooked and with a good amount of chicken salt on them and not oily (unlike most fish and chip places) also has a condiment stand by the order pick up window with chicken salt, salt, tomatoe and barbecue sauce and napkins! Great view of the water ways and wasn't busy with my order being ready in about 3 minutes. Highly recommend for everyone looking for some of the best fish and chips their are around!

They advertise as the best fish and chips, but unfortunately not. We waited for 35 minutes to get our order and it wasn't busy. 5 numbers after ours were called out before we got our order of 2 snack packs. My fish was dry, but the calamari prawn cutlet and chips were great. Hopefully next time we visit it will be better.

At the end of a big day what better thing to do than grab the best fish and chips in town and go home and watch the footy. We had heard a lot of talk about this place and thought we better check it out before we leave. It is a very popular place this was the first time the line up at the door seemed manageable. We were surprised how fast all the staff behind the scenes worked to get our meal out to us. We didn’t have to wait long at all. We went with the name sake Red Emperor fish battered next time grilled. some calamari crumbed chips and Home made potato cakes (scallops) the fish was fresh then battered before cooked and the potato cakes crunchy but creamy inside just how we like them. Next time I would try the Coral Trout as that looked fabulous. Tables and chair outside if you wish to eat there.

This is a fantastic fish and chips store. It's rare to give five stars but this place is the best fish and chip store to date. First of all you can pick the actual pieces of fish you want fried from a least 8 or 9 tasty varieties. I went snapper. Young friendly staff that know what they are doing.

Weren’t there on Easter Monday (19/4/22?) I wanted to give them a four as the basic battered fish was GREAT. However, pretty much everything else was quite average to terrible. Chips in particular which should be so easy as a staple were almost inedible. From what our large family group tried; Calamari, prawns and seafood stick were also average uto bad. On the other GOOD side there was a Cajun cuttlefish which was delicious, but quite “spicy” vs necessarily “ hot”. (In a good way from my perspective but depends on the kids). But when chips and other basics are so bad, I just can’t rate more than this. Did they have an off chip day? I’m not sure but they were seriously bad chips and we bought a lot. Maybe only go if you only want battered or grilled fish …

The fish was nice and fresh and there was those crunchy chips I like.

Great variety of fish and large serving sizes. I wish I didn't buy a tub of tomato sauce, as there was complimentary tomato and bbq sauce at the take out counter outside... You have to scan a QR code to sit down... We just ate at the park opposite and enjoyed the nice views and the sunny day. Really good value.

We ordered 2 burgers and they gave us one. They also didn’t give us a dim sim we paid for then when they did it was not cooked. The chips were crunchy, overcooked and small serve for $5. The burger was nice
