Review Thai Square - Noosaville

Constantino Giriat
Disappointed with the food. We were really hungry and were looking forward to have Thai at this place based on the other good reviews. We always eat Thai on a weekly basis back at home in the Gold Coast, so we are very familiar with Thai cuisine. We couldn’t finish the food from this place, we found it had too much sauce and was greasy. We had pad Thai chicken and spring rolls.

The food was honestly 10/10, the meals were brought out quickly and was probably the best Thai we’ve had since visiting Bangkok. The greeting service was strange as we waited awkwardly for someone to notice us to be seated and both the red and white wine was awful and we didn’t drink it, I did give this feedback but it was kept on the bill and I wouldn’t have rated 5 starts had it been removed.

This food is amazing! Love love love it. I drove 40mins to get here. Service is great too.

Food was really nice but it was as if they made one meal at a time. The fourth main dish came out 20 minutes after the first. So one of us had pretty much finished her dinner before the last person even got theirs.

Good portions, very tasty food made with seemingly good ingredients. The prices are alright and all popular Thai dishes were available. The seating could definitely be improved though.

Thai meal is absolutely fantastic, yet I think all that they served were spicy, my grandma was not used to eat Thai foods, but when she tasted it, she asked for another round, That's one thing memorable about this restaurant that can't easily be forgotten, Services were too easy and quick with no fuss at all. Meals were awesome, at very reasonable prices. The location is quite cozy, The best Thai cuisine I've ever had experienced.

Great Thai food, pad Thai chicken was delicious and spring rolls with mushrooms were great. Nice staff and service. Only downside, parking is a bit of an issue. Location is not the best. Good selection of beers. Lunch menu is great value for money. Dinner menu prices are a bit high.

Lovely food, huuuuuge portions. We ordered 7 dishes for 8 of us and took 3 full portions home with us in takeaway containers (50c each!). Pleasant service. Good value.

We’ve had take away several times and it’s always been so yum. This week we ate at the restaurant and it was just delicious. Plus great service. Definitely recommend

Soup was nice however the stir fried cashew dish was incredibly sweet I couldn't eat it, the first meal I haven't able to finish. I informed both waitresses when asked how our meal was, neither offered to change it or a refund. On checking their reviews this does seem to be a recurring theme with many dishes rated overly sweet. I like big flavours but even the next morning I could taste the sweetness on the back of my throat we wont be taking future visitors there.

Delicious fish cakes and green chicken curry - and very reasonably priced. Friendly service - highly recommended 😋

Best Thai i think ive ever had, The mussaman curry was amazing and so full of flavour would definitely reccomend. Hubby had the yellow curry and it was amazing too.

Very authentic Thai food! Yummy and big portion! Good location and Comfortable seats! Polite and warm staffs! 5 out of 5! Wait for a bit because it is really busy environment, but worth it! Pad Thai noodle a bit too sweet, maybe just once off case. Tom Yum soup is the best, we bottom up without leaving even a leaf.

This has been my parents' favourite Noosa dining establishment for the last 5 years. Personally I find it a bit hit and miss. The dining environment is breezy and minimalistic, but dinner conversation can be difficult given the proximity of other tables and the sometimes cramped environment on busy nights. The staff are friendly, but aren't always attentive (i.e. we had to asked three people for water on my last visit). In terms of food, I would definitely recommend the BBQ chicken entrée (i.e. satay chicken), duck curry, and Pad Sie Ew. All flavoursome, well-balanced and authentic. I would recommend you away from some other dishes. The fried full fish was mushy (it had obviously been frozen), but the papaya salad was delicious. If only this was on the menu as a standalone dish! I have also had the fish cakes more than once, and always find them rubbery. The spring rolls are also under-whelming, with little flavour or texture from the filling. Overall this is a solid Thai restaurant, but given their price increases over the last few years, I'm inclined to explore elsewhere for prices more representative of this level of cooking.

Extremely fresh and healthy option for authentic Thai food that is also reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and it’s such an easy place to order takeaway from.

Got takeaway and the coconut lime prawns and pan pak were absolutely delicious. Would rival many. Great job would definitely have again!!!!!

We had a very enjoyable dinner here last night. The duck curry was delicious with plenty of duck, pad Thai was yummy but a bit too sweet. Nice ambience without being too formal which is what we were after as we had two young kids with us. Service was friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our food. All up we were very happy with our dinner here, and the price is right too, a couple of starters, cold beers and two mains for about $80.

Had Phad Thai and money bags

Phad Thai it was super sweet, to much so. Nice but to sweet.

Money bags ( prawn in jackets) were very tasty, fresh prawns and crisp jackets.

Good menu with wide variety of dishes, tasty Pad tai and well cooked curry, seating is limited and they really pack the diners in, can be a little noisy but the quality of the food makes up for it.

The pad thai was very bland and tasteless. We ordered a yellow curry and received a green curry. Would not order again. However the price point was good

Friendly and quick service, absolutely delicious food: best stir fried vegetables I've ever had even within Thailand. NB very generous portions!

We ordered takeaway here while on holidays and it was one of the best Thai places I've ordered from. Food tasted fresh and flavoursome as it should be

Friendly service and good selection of Thai favourites as well as some more interesting chef's specials. I don't know if it's just me, but I found the curry a bit on the sweet side (a criticism I have of a lot of Thai restaurants). Nice setting and seemed to be doing a brisk trade in take away as well.

One of the best Thai restaurants around. Consistent and and friendly service. The meals are always amazing here. With big groups or small, everyone always leaves satisfied. Highly recommended.

Just had a mushy, bland takeaway pad thai chicken. It had all the ingredients I like so I thought I was onto a winner. Some places load up their pad thai with broccoli, carrots, etc. but this had bean sprouts, spring onion, peanuts, egg, (unfortunately red onion added) and a lemon to squeeze over it. Couldn't wait to wrap my laughing gear around it!

Sadly, it had no piquancy and was a total flop for flavour and consistency. The noodles were totally limp. On the up side, the price was right. I've been looking for a good pad thai since moving to the Sunny Coast. I still am.

Awesome!! Good size portions, quite cheap and something for everyone to enjoy, always a good pick.

Best Thai around!!. I love Thai food and often get it when im on holidays. Noosa 'Thai Square' is one of the best restaurants ive ever been to. Staff are friendly and attentive and the food is full of flavour and good quantity of fresh vegetables in each dish. My partner and I had the statay chicken and sizzling lamb - delicious!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

So good to have real Thai. Better than most in Sydney. A real hidden gem. Tell them you want it Thai-hot if you like the heat. They won't disappoint.

Good Thai offering but have been disappointed two times now when specifically having made a reservation for dinner and ordered deep fried ice cream in advance for dessert. Both times restaurant waitress has said either sold out or not written down. Not good enough and customer service must be improved upon. Shame because is nice food and reasonably priced.
MattCS
Cheap and chearful; best value Thai around Noosa. Standard, predictable Thai offering; it won't disappoint.

Thai Takeaway Option in Noosa. I am a bit of a Thai food snob. Generally I find Queensland regional centres have lame Thai. So I was a little concerned when my wife declaed she would like Thai takeaway while holidaying in Noosa this year. I checked out all the online reviews for the smattering of Thai places on offer in the area. This one came up trumps and after sampling their food via takeaway we were not disappointed. The food here isn't creative or above standard, but the service was good and the price was right.

Best pad thai and fish cakes I have ever had. Great service as well. Highly recommend it

Excellent food! Got take away was very busy but for good reason as the our meals were amazing. Best yellow curry ever and a great PudThai noodle. You won't be sorry you went

The flavours were lovely in the food- reminded me of my time in Thailand, the service was fast and our meals appeared on the table quickly. However, the wait staff need to smile and brush up of customer service skills. Drinks were slammed on our table and one staff member swaggered around, dragging her feet on the floor, slouched over and with hair that needed a comb.
Sarah Carter
Really lovely, great portion sizes, great service (the restaurant was full). Very reasonably priced. Would recommend this place.

Awesome! best Thai in a long time, great service and beautiful indoor/outdoor setup. Can not speak higher of. You will not be disappointed.

Different and good. Here is a Thai restaurant that is well priced with good food. The decor is plain but the food is the opposite. Sunday night dinner. We had a roti to share while we waited for our whole fish EACH to be cooked. Evelyn had the steamed snapper with vegetables and I had the spicy quick fried snapper. Both came hot, juicy and as we ordered. Evelyn cannot eat chilli or coriander so hers was mild but a beautiful flavour. Lots of various vegetables over the fish.
My fried whole fish was great. Apart from the main bones I could crunch the smaller ones and enjoy the texture and the spicy flavour. We had a small bowl of rice to share and mop up the delicious sauces. Service was friendly but a bit erratic but all was achieved eventually. At $77 for the whole lot it was a reasonable sum to pay for a very well cooked and tasty meal. Worth a visit.

Great food, fair price. Try the Panang curry it's awesome!

Fabulous Thai! The food was sensational! Highly recommend :-)

Unfortunately had a terrible food experience with delivery Sat night, we waited 1 hour 25 mins, we ordered two chicken dishes which lacked any chicken and a fish dish which was just covered in Thai sweet chilli sauce which was so sweet it was inedible, we ended up throwing most of it away. A shame as other times been very good - I think Sat should be avoided at all costs!!

Best Thai food in Noosa.. Best taste, serving size and best price.
Bianka Ganser
Delicious Thai food. Better than average. Always busy so book if you can
PoshNosher
Very good value for money. The portions are a nice size and tasty. The service is good albeit a bit slow. But in their defence each time we have been there it has been packed out with people. Will definitely go back here again.
Jane
Fried rice on edible. Other very good except too sweet in the mains' sauces. Get rid if sugar. thats old fashioned. It is getting very old and tired with decor dated, tables old, girls not always cleanly dressed. Basically tired which is a shame.
Vespa
Absolutely loved the food here. Great restaurant, service & menu.

I went to Thai square rest based on the %94 of people loving the place. I'm not going to bag the place out, you make your own mind up. Unimpressed to say the least !
Andrew Pitman
The service was extremely friendly and accommodating. The entrees were standard Thai fare , nothing exceptional. Mains were better and reflect good honest Thai cooking. Wine list was restrictive but was able to find an appropriate and well priced NZ sav blanc. Thai Square is ok but nothing out of the box

Best Thai takeaway I've ever experienced can't wait to dine in...

Won't be returning. Twice I.... Won't be returning.
Twice I've been there the service has been nice, but very poor. The second time I went I had to wait over an hour for my meal, then a further ten minutes for my partner's to come out, by which time my originally sizzling plate was warm at best. No apology nor explanation was given. My meal was nice but a bit too simple. Asked for deep fried ice cream on both occasions but they didn't have any. Asked for the bill on both occasions but never received it.
Not worth the wait, the money nor the fact that you'll be missing the movie you planned to see after your meal.

Great Thai food. Delicious Thai food. Better than I've had in Brisbane or the Gold Coast. Extremely fresh and flavoursome. We dined in and the service was attentive and polite.
Jamie F
Best Thai in noosa. Good sized meals, reasonable prices, very good service.
Steve
Thai square. Be prepared to wait for service on busy nights. Food is fresher in flavour than other local Thai establishments, but still fairly standard offerings. Try whole fish specials.

Best Thai food I've ever had! Very fair priced, friendly staff, nice setting

Delicious!! Well priced Thai with take away service fast and friendly.

Great Food, Great Atmosphere and Good Prices. Fantastic little restaurant ! Book to avoid disappointment as this is a busy restaurant and for good reason. The menu is a fairly typical Thai menu nothing out of the box, but what they do they do well. Atmosphere is great, service is good, food is fantastic and when the bill comes it is more than fair. Recommend 100% !

If you find yourself in Noosaville looking for an excellent, affordable meal, look no further than Thai Square located on Wayba Road, but be warned, if you want to eat in their restaurant bookings are recommended. Luckily for me I was staying next door at the Coco Bay Resort, so ordering the take away didn’t cause me any problems. By the time I walked the 100 metres back to my room everything was still hot. If you want to see my review on the Coco Bay, go to tripadvisor.com.au and search for Coco Bay Resort, Noosaville. I can thoroughly recommend it. Usually when I’m away I only order a main meal, but today I missed out on lunch so feeling extremely hungry decided to have an entrée as well. I chose the spring rolls (4), with some hesitation. Spring Rolls are one of those things that can vary greatly and I can safely say that I’ve had some shockers over the years, but at $6.50 the price was right to give them a go. A stroke of genius I thought to myself as I devoured the last one.
