I've been here a few dozen times now, and even celebrated my B-Day here. The food everytime was amazing. I was fortunate to be with friends who share thier food, and got to taste many options. Excited everytime I see a new menu. With over 25 vegan options, u can't go wrong. Service, atmosphere, the home cooked style of the food, traditional at its best. I have not been to an Italian restaurant since the 90s, coming here for the first time just blew me away!! Thank u so much.
Went there for the first time yesterday. The vegan menu is amazing I can't recommend this place enough. The best italian food I have ever had!!
Real Italian food, plates treated for aesthetics and quality of the products used. Friendliness, professionalism and competence. Excellent pure vegan Italian cuisine. Congratulations! You're the top!
Birthday dinner last night at this beautiful Italian restaurant in Clifton Hill.
I'd wanted to come here for ages, with it's delicious, and very extensive vegan menu, the warmth of the host, Alessanda, and the staff....and the beautiful decor, I couldn't have wished for more.
It had been recommended to me by guests at my Vegan B&B in the Yarra Ranges, The Beet Retreat and other friends.
I will most definitely be back... the 50 minute drive was absolutely worth it
Thank you to Alessandra and all the staff for your wonderful hospitality.
I look forward to seeing you all again
We had a really lovely meal here tonight - what an amazing vegan menu! There was so much we wanted to try. We had our kids with us who were a small handful but the staff were really accommodating and my daughter said the panacotta was the best dessert she'd ever had :-)
I had such a great dinner i never had.
Food was Fantastic , serves also very good and kind peoples.
If i need to eat Italian food, here is defiantly where i must go !!!
Came here for the vegan menu and was surprised at the amount of options on offer. Left very satisfied, value, service and food quality all well done
It's a great restaurant the menu is fantastic I recommend this place for a night of food and enjoyment
Amazing vegan food and service! Will definitely be back
Awesome! Great vegan menu with lots of vegan wine to choose from. Yummmmmm
A wonderful evening with Jan Saunders and friends for a vegan feast to celebrate Jan's birthday. The food was superb and we were looked after so well.
Food was incredible, couldn't fault it. I'm lactose intolerant and momentarily stopped myself half way through the lasagne thinking I couldn't eat it - it was THAT good. Garlic bread and desserts were amazing too, especially the almond tart with lemon and strawberries 😍💯😛
Amazing!!! Great service and amazing food. Best place I have been to in Melbourne!
Delicious vegan menu and lovely ambiance :)
A friend and I had fantastic meal here tonight. I had the pappardelle fungi and a traditional Sicilian dessert - both delicious. The olives and nuts upon entry and chocolate almonds after dessert were a great touch. Our waitress was delightful. A very pleasant evening in a nice atmosphere. Hopefully this place becomes more popular because it deserves to be.
The dessert were very unusal but very authentic. The main meals were delicious The service was absolutely fabulous it helps we can speak Italian but there English was great too Definitely be going back .Real Italian food
The most delicious vegan lasagne for lunch! What a blessing!
Great Service, wonderful atmosphere and delicious food!
So good we're going back on Saturday. And this time we are leaving room for dessert.
The real Italian Restaurant in Melbourne!!! It was like being back in Italy!!!!!
Beautiful! Amazing sweets and lasagne! Pure delight!

Complimenti raga! Mi mancava tanto mangiare a modo! Grazie :)
The fresh pasta, spinach cannelloni & arancine from the Osteria Italiana online store are divine! So easy to prepare, full of flavour and the perfect thing to enjoy on a night in. So happy to see all their vegan and gluten free options, too :)
Thank you for providing gluten free fresh pasta! My partner is GF and this has made pasta nights much eaiser. Cant recommend the carbonara enough for a flavorsome sauce
The vegan takeaway range is just delicious! I grabbed the mushroom and truffle sauce and it didn't disappoint. Will definitely be grabbing more to enjoy
I was recommended to try this restaurant from a friend who is vegetarian. I am not vegetarian myself but decided to try her favourite dish here - the mushroom and truffle pasta dish. We had it takeaway due to covid and BOY IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! To be honest, one of the best pastas I have had in a long long time!!! I was even trying to eat slowly so my food would not end.
Just ate lunch here today, I have been vegan for the past 6 years and have never had authentic Italian vegan food that is done well and where you are leaving feeling satisfied. We tried the gnocchi, carbonara and lasagna and all was the best I’ve ever had! My only feedback to the owners is that the restaurant inside doesn’t represent the quality of the food. Get rid of all the faux flowers it’s super dated and maybe put tablecloths on the tables even with paper over the top that can be changed between tables. I think this restaurant could be very very successful but the asthetics need work. Most people in Australia really appreciate a good vibe in a restaurant and there was no vibe. Will be back very soon to try more of the menu. Oh and we also got two desserts which were equally amazing!!!
I came here for mine and my husband's first wedding anniversary in Saturday night. The menu is clearly labelled for vegan, gluten free, low FODMAP and normal menu which I thought was amazing.
The food was delicious, the restaurant is lovely, the staff are friendly, I highly recommend!
Came here with my mates after a game. Can say that the food was really great. Produce is high quality and the service was really nice. Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.
Osteria Italiana has a really cool and modern concept of offering options to everyone regardless of their dietary requirements or preferences. I was pleasantly surprised to see specific menus for vegan, low fodmap and gluten-free diets as well as a classic contemporary menu. I don't follow a vegan diet myself but had seen the vegan lasagna on their Instagram page and had to try it out. It was such a feast with so many layers and flavour. Looking forward to going back already and trying out some other options on their menu.
Authentic Italian food, check.Extensive vegetarian/vegan menu, check. There are very few places like Maccaroni Osteria that offer such a large menu and actually manage to deliver everything with high and consistent quality. The food quality is amazing, menu is expansive and well thought out and the ambiance of the place is just great. This is a place the food minion enjoys visiting!
I have a couple of vegan friends and they usually take me to places that are completely meat free. After a bit of research, I found Macaroni Osteria and it ended up being the best of both worlds. It was like this place was created just for our friendship group - one menu for me being a traditional italian menu and one complete menu being traditional vegan. Everybody loved it and cannot stop raving!
Being Vegan it is sometimes hard to go out with my non vegan friends to find an equally good meal for all parties...until now! Maccaroni Osteria Italiana have literally changed the game with an outstanding menu that accommodates both the vegan and non vegans equally. With 2 separate menus and completely different cooking area (I asked the waitress) they really are ahead of the game. A must visit tradition Italian restaurant in the heart of Clifton Hill.
Maccaroni Osteria is the perfect destination for both vegan and non-vegan alike!
This is a very popular place for our friends to catch up when we want an upscale dinner and it suits all of our various dietary requirements.
I highly recommend that you order the pasta, any pasta, it'll be perfect I guarantee!
Really enjoyed my meal here. My girlfriend is Vegan so we decided this was a good option where we could both eat what we liked. Thanks guys will see you again soon!
What a lovely Italian restaurant this is, in the heart of Clifton hill. I highly recommend the pasta dishes here, we were absolutely spoilt with a selection of a variety of dishes and they were all beautifully presented and packed full of flavour. The Anelleti al forno (baked pasta) was so delicious, with a rich Bolognese sauce. The gnocchi with radicchio, pancetta and taleggio was another of my favourites; One for the lovers of a cream based sauce. And that goes for the mushroom papardelle as well, creamy and scrumptious. I was super impressed with all of the pastas.
The other thing not to miss is the sharing antipasto platter, it was amazing and my mouth is watering just thinking about it. It’s the chef’s selection and what we had was Arancini, cheese, cheese dip, mussels, fresh bread, olives, pepperonata, chips and sun dried tomatoes. Delish!
Thanks for having us guys!
If you live near Fitzroy North you probably already know about Maccaroni Osteria Italiana. It’s a great place to bring the family and have a big Italian feast. Their antipasto is next level and they have amazing handmade pastas. So if you’re in the area and want some tasty Italian food, it might be a good idea to stop by.
I came here for a bloggers dinner and was blown away by the food and the quality of each dish . The antipasto platter was extremely generous and had so many goodies on the plate which is what I love on a sharing plate . My favourite items on the platter were the eggplant , the cheese blocks and also the melted cheese and also the fried arancini
We were then treated to an assortment of pastas , my favourite was the parpadelle pasta with truffle and mushrooms as well as the eggplant pasta ! This is a huge deal as both are vegetarian and I love meat !! Another stand out was the prawn linguine , the aromatics of this pasta was amazing , I could eat this all day .
Next came mains and at this stage I was done-zo . We were served a generous serving of the rabbit stew , barramundi and salmon stack , grilled salmon and some vegetables . My fave main dish was the rabbit stew , it had so much flavour however I wish the rabbit was cooked a bit longer so that it could be more tender
Last we shared a variety of cakes and chocolate mousse cakes . They were presented so beautifully and tasted just as good , the stand out was the picture attached
Thanks for having us
Coming from an Italian family, I usually find something to criticise about Italian restaurants but this venue really ticks all the boxes, ESPECIALLY where pasta is concerned.
They have everything from spaghetti to gnocchi and pappardelle, all made fresh and cooked perfectly. The sauces are rich and flavoursome, the standout for me was the creamy mushroom sauce.
The mussels and arancini were our favourite elements of the antipasto degustation board and we also indulged in cocktails and dessert, we couldn't resist. They have a specialty vegan menu as well but cater well for all dietary requirements. We couldn't be more impressed and definitely would love to bring my family in to see authentic Italian food, cooked properly!
Maccaroni Osteria is pumping out some of the best vegan food around, been here on multiple occasions to try some of the vegan food and the non-vegan food, and it seriously blows your mind. It's hard to believe that some of the vegan food they have is actually vegan.
BEST VEGAN PASTA IN MELBOURNE. Words cannot express how much I loved the vegan food I had here. These folks treated me and my friends to a fully vegan degustation and we were all blown away by the quality of the food. In our group we also had one Italian girl that could confirm that their food was definitely up to her standards and had a very authentic feel to it. The staff was super friendly and the restaurant was also quite nice. My favourites from the meal was the mushroom papardelle, vegan gnocchi and a hazelnut gelato with kahlua and italian hot chocolate (seriously worth going here just for the desserts this was one of the best things I have ever eaten) (sponsored, free meal)
Another great italian restaurant to check out! Located in Clifton Hill, this place not only has a great vegan menu it also a great atmosphere and italian food (non-vegan menu).
We kicked off the night with cocktails. Its great that the cocktail menu shows the vegan options. I had the Toblerone cocktail which was the perfect Wednesday night cocktail.
We had an amazing starter platter filled with amazing things like Arancini balls and a mussel pot! We also tried a large range of pasta's with the seafood pasta being the highlight. The prawns were huge and the pasta was cooked perfectly. We then had the mains with the highlight being a Rabbit stew (something new to me!) The stew was hearty and tasted like chicken.
To end the night we had dessert of course. The cute mousse cakes and wanna cotta was the perfect way to end the night.
The perfect place to go for delicious Italian food!! We had the degustation antipasti platter-which had so many items including eggplant, olives, polenta chips, Arancini balls and so many more !! The pasta selection was so diverse as well- would defs recommend the creamy mushroom one 😍😍
I felt like I was coming home when I turned up at Maccaroni Osteria Italiana to discover it was located in the same location that I used to regularly dine at when I lived in Clifton Hill. The name had changed but there was certainly a familiarity about the place with an sunken front area with giant windows reaching up to the sky and sleek shadowy intimate dining at the back.
This restaurant has a double up menu with the option of a full vegan menu or a standard menu and has become quite a hit with the vegan community. Tonight though we checked out the standard menu.
I started with a cocktail ordering the Mojito which was a perfect refreshing drink for the warm weather. This version full of lime and quite a lot of citrus acidity. A very rude fellow “blogger” kept trying to steal my drink which was frustrating and immature (you get that) so despite my best efforts I ended up drinking half of her French martini which was another fine option.
We tried a range of entrees which were served on giant platters. The range was amazing. Polenta sticks, meat as well as mushroom arancini, a delightful eggplant caponata, aurrichio fondu ... the list goes on. There wasn’t an entree item I didn’t enjoy which was a really good sign.
Pastas came out next smelling delicious and all home made. Popular amongst the group was the pappardella truffle and mushroom pasta, an intensely truffled dish. The king prawn linguine was also a hit with a fresh light sauce. My favourite was the gnocchi with pancetta in what was quite a creamy sauce. The pastas we tried were all delicious and the flavours were really there especially in the bolognese which was deeply rich with tomato.
We tried a range of mains including a slow cooked rabbit casserole with a wonderful sauce that was just dying to be mopped up with the accompanying bread. I found the rabbit a little overcooked but this was still one of the tastiest mains. I loved the stuffed pork porterhouse, crumbled and baked. It very much reminded me of a dish my grandmother used to make although she didn’t present it in such a fine way with toasted whole capsicum peppers or the bitter rocket pesto pasta. The salmon with a pistachio crust was perfectly cooked and I liked the inventiveness of the baked fish pillar.
Lastly desserts which were all wonderfully presented. My favourite was the almond semifreddo served with a dark chocolate sauce. The chocolate mousse was also very nice but I found the lemon mousse lacked the punchy citrus I was hoping for. We also had a panna cotta for dessert. So funny how these days it’s more common to have these for brunch.
Overall I really enjoyed dining here tonight. The pasta was by far the standout course for the evening and really should be where you look to first. Thanks so much for inviting us in.
I was invited to Maccaroni Osteria last night as part of a blogging event and was thoroughly impressed. The restaurant boasts a full vegan menu but we were here to sample the traditional offerings. We started with some spectacular antipasto dishes my pick of which was the caponata. This has long been one of my favourite Sicilian dishes and was idyllic with the warm bread.
Speaking of the warm bread, dipping the Italian cheese fondue in there was also a real highlight of the starters. We tried the pastas next and they really wowed me, even more so given their quite reasonable price points. My top two were the king prawn linguini, a sensationally balanced sauce that didn’t overpower the delicate seafood and perfectly cooked pasta. I also loved the fried eggplant wrapped tagliatelle in Napoli sauce. Would definitely recommend these as must orders.
By the time the mains came we were practically bursting. I wasn’t game enough to try the rabbit casserole but it’s good to know they offer these style dishes should you be interested in super authentic experience. I tested out the salmon with pistachio and the fish pillar which was an interesting one. This was layers of salmon, spinach, king George whiting and broccoli and was quite a sight to behold.
We finished the night sampling some desserts with the chocolate mousse being the winner for me. The vanilla panna cotta was also very smooth and had an excellent wobble. I will definitely be back for more pasta, it was the best I’ve had in a long time.
Lovely experience dining here and exciting to see how many vegan and vegetarian options are on the menu! Even the beer and wine list has extensive vegan options! If you are a cheese lover (like me) then look forward to lots of tasty goodies. The space is nice and modern, and there’s plenty of room to hold big group dinners or events. The staff are also super friendly and approachable. I really enjoyed the espresso martini’s to drink as well. Nice to see a place like this in Clifton Hill.
Being vegetarian (and especially vegan) shouldn't have to mean forgoing your favourite cuisines- Even if they typically contain lots of meat and dairy. At Maccaroni Osteria, vegans can enjoy an extensive selection of traditional Sicilian dishes without a hint of animal products! This doesn't mean pizza sans cheese and roasted veggie plates. It means heaping servings of "meaty" lasagna, bolognese arancini, and even fried calamari! (The latter is one of the best dishes I've tried from this restaurant. Even my seafood-loving friend said it was better than the "real deal".) Other highlights on Maccaroni's menu include the caponata, cannelloni, and meatballs topped with shredded vegan cheese. And how could one visit without trying one of the veganised Italian desserts like an almond and chocolate mousse or pannacotta with berries? I recommend going very hungry and with a large group of friends willing to share. The more dishes you can try, the better. Maccaroni Osteria is truly a hidden vegan gem, offering one of the biggest and best plant-based menus around.
Good food only downside to stop it from being five is we ordered chips thinking they would be chips but they were wedges :(
The s/p calamari is the best
Was amazing service staff knew exactly what was going on.. Always there in sight of we needed anything..
By far the best Risotto I had the sausage one
Had a starter of calamari which was vegan and OMG it was spot on tasted like the real thing and was full full of flavour if it's one thing I'll go back for is that
I ordered food from here off deliveroo, so the menu was smaller than what is available in store. Being vegan I was so excited about the options. The garlic bread and lasagne are incredible and I highly recommend!
Omg I can finally embrace my Italian side and have some good before without missing out or compromising! The best Italian restaurant food for both vegans and non vegans so everyone is happy!! The vegan menu is soo vast and the options are phenomenal and so tasty I will 100% be back for the rest of the options! This lasagne was soo filling and full of flavour! And the dessert omg soo yum! Cannot recommend this place enough!!
Extensive vegan menu. Delicious mushroom truffle pasta. Vegan calamari was so delicious. Almond tart was very good too. Friendly service. Vegan and non vegans in the group enjoyed the meal very much.
Extensive vegan menu as well as traditional Italian menu. We ordered the vegan gnocchi and truffle mushroom pappardelle, which were both amazing. The pappardelle is a must! The only disappointment was the Misto Fritto entree, which was a bit average and dry. Overall, a great neighbourhood gem.
One of my favourite new places! Excellent food, so many awesome vegan options too. Very friendly, polite service and food is always fresh, hot and timely
I will continue to come here for sure!
Pros: extensive separate vegan menu! calamari (tastes like the real thing), pappardelle fungi (delicious with the truffle oil), arancini with mushroom sauce, chocolate and almond mousse (not as overly sweet or rich as most mousse is)
Cons: lasagne (too saucy/mushy and not enough mince), gnocchi forest (same as lasagne); everything is kinda pricey
Ambivalent: pita panormous (potato pie) - nice but just tastes like an expensive mashed potatoe with caramelised onion and olive) ; scallopine Ai funghi (nice, scallopine great texture and flavour but quite oily)
I don’t get it. Here is a lovely restaurant offering a vegan fine-dining experience and yet on a Wednesday night when you can’t get a parking spot anywhere near Brunswick St, this great place just up the road with plenty of parking right outside is practically empty.
I'm not a vegan but I can really appreciate the extensive vegan menu they offered. My friend is vegan and she ordered vegan calamari rings, and mushroom with truffle oil pasta; they were DELIZIOSO. The way the calamari was made was super impressive, the flavor, texture and taste were great; you don't have to be vegan to want to eat it!
The rest of us had ordered a different type of pasta each, the pasta bake, tagliatelle and casarcce; I really liked my simple tagliatelle in Napoli sauce, although lesser oil would have been even better.
To top it off, we had a vegan pannacotta, I don't know how it's done but this place made me believe that food can still taste great without animal products!
When Thirsty Vegan first told me about Maccaroni Osteria Italiana, I was overjoyed because as anyone who knows me will attest, I am #teampasta4lyf. Only upon my usual pre-meal menu stalking activities did I realise there were entirely separate menus for fructose-intolerant people and vegans respectively i.e. what is this heaven and why had I never heard of it?
Such a warm, lovely and cosy place! I came here for dinner and had the vegan lasagna, because i love lasagna! It was delicious! Such flavour and just the right amount of firm/chewiness! I also had an almond tart with custard and apple, also delicious! I love places that obviously love their food and put care and thought into it, and this place is one of them :) fantastic service too!
I'm not vegan myself but was extremely impressed with the extensive vegan menu, especially for Italian!
We had one of the vegan antipasto starters which was quite yummy, would of loved a sauce to go with it perhaps Napoli or something!
My friend had the vegan gnocchi which was WOW. That gnocchi literally melted in your mouth, nonna stats. I had the seafood risotto which was really nice as well, a good balance of flavours and amount of seafood.
It was a full house, only 2 people running the floor but they definitely pulled it off! Service was good.
Overall good Italian food, definitely be back to try the other dishes!
Nice place for a date! I appreciate to have a vegan menu and wine clearly identified. The vegan buffet is good but the dish is the mushroom pasta with truffle oil !!
SO amazing! By far one of the best places I've been to that caters for vegans. We had three different pasta and each one was exceptional. Wines were delicious and service was attentive and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
Came here for Mother's Day banquet with my mum, MIL & husband. I ordered the vegan banquet for myself; the others had standard. Everyone was suitably impressed with the quality of the food & lovely service. Decor is ambient & we are all excited to return next year (if not another time if we can't wait) :)
Recommended & keep up the great work
Omg I am one happy (and full) vegan Coeliac! The vegan menu is sooo well thought out and it's clear a lot of love goes in to every dish (the meringue is still blowing my mind), plus having so many gluten free options available is such a treat! The girl who served us tonight with the red bow (sorry we didn't catch your name) was so super friendly and attentive and every single thing I ate was perfect. Keep doing your thing chef, it's working!
Absolutelly love this place! It is so wonderful to have so many vegan options... Even better is how amaxing everything here is. The atmosphere, the food, the drinks, everything is perfect. I love coming back here and looking forward to next time!
Super faster service.
Lovely interior.
I had the vegan truffle mushroom gnocchi which was freaking fabulous.
Hubby had the vegan lasagna.
Would definitely return.
I just got back from here tonight with some friends and I couldn't wait to write this review because of how impressed we all were with the amazing food. The separate vegan menu is so thoughtful and my non vegan friends loved their food equally as much as i loved my vegan food. I had the vegan caprese salad and the vegan lasagne. This lasagne blew me away it was clearly made with a lot of love, I can't wait to go again. Ill make sure to try the vegan desserts and comment on this in my next post. Keep up the great work :)
Yummy Italian with an entirely separate vegan menu!!! The gnocchi was to die and my almond tart for dessert was amazing as well. The bruschetta to start was only average and very overpriced for what you get but everything else here including the service was fantastic.
Delicious food and lovely attentive staff - the vegan menu is amazing! Loved the mushroom fettuccini - cannot wait to eat it again hopefully soon!
I went here a few days ago with a group of friends and we had an excellent time. The decor is done beautifully and it is a very comforting, welcoming environment. The food was delicious, authentic, Italian food. The staff were very friendly and attentive throughout our whole evening. We will definitely be coming back soon!
Bar offers a large range of drinks more than your average restaurant. They do seafood pasta really well, not stingy with the king prawns which were fresh.
Maccaroni Osteria Italiana has generated a bit of a buzz on a couple of social media vegan dining groups recently. I was first alerted to it when a friend went there a month or so ago and our vegan dining group immediately resolved to eat there as soon as we could organise it. There were 15 of us and we asked to have the banquet which was $40. For $40 the food we got was astonishing in value and flavour. This was terrific food, sometimes homestyle sometimes beautifully presented, and all so generous. In quality, it was well above an average local cafe, but still priced like one. I think it will become a regular favourite.
Focus on the food not the frills! Solid, good quality pasta dishes (in particular) served by charming staff at good prices. Overlook some of the more "pub like" touches (chips and salad with the mains for example) which clash with the food, and the decor, and you'll be set.
Fantastic hospitality from Alessandra and her team. We had a function booking cancel at the last minute and were able to book here and arrange a great evening. The food was excellent and staff all made us welcome. We will be back for sure.
Awesome. Great food, great service and great owners. Never a disappointing meal. Good gluten free italian food is hard to find. Not only are the gluten free dishes good, they're great. Grazie tanto Maccaroni.
Why isn't this restaurant packed out? The food is great and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening, from the warm welcome through to the very reasonable bill at the end of the night. The restaurant is very stylish and the staff friendly and helpful. There are plenty of choices for vegetarians. The green bean and potato salad with capers was a winner and my beef was delicious, as was my desert. My only slight criticism was that the fries were are little disappointing.
We are keen to return soon to try the Sicilian Sunday lunch. We recommend this restaurant and hope more people give it a try.
Amazing food like always, wonderful environment ! Perfect food, coffee, service. We had a function and were served perfectly, definitely coming back
Great food!! With fantastic service!!!! Staff were helpful a friendly!!! I will be back with out a doubt!!
Deliziosooooo. What a fabulous restaurant this is. Very stylish ambience, delicious authentic Sicilian food with a bit of a twist. The service was friendly and excellent. Looking forward to returning again. Well done Alessandra and staff.
Friendly staff with great service!!
Food was just fantastic!!
Wonderful food. I went to "Osteria" with my family for my birthday... The place was nice and the service was friendly... We had veal scaloppine with mushroom, risotto marinara, pappardelle truffle&mushroom and involtini siciliani... Everything was authentic italian food and very nice... Also the tiramisu cake was wonderful!!!
Simply the best Italian restaurant in the area - do yourself a favour and go there. This little gem was tried on a whim and needless to say, I feel compelled to write a review.
To start with, the people running this are warm and welcoming, and the service is impeccable. I was given water and menus within a minute of sitting down.
The menu is one of those types of menus whereby you can sit there for a long time knowing that the two or three thins you've short-listed that sound absolutely brilliant, and you simply can't decide.
I chose a main after deliberating for a long time - the slow cooked lamb casserole cooked in a spicy chilli tomato onion sauce. This with the freshest salad I've had in a long time with a very well chosen Italian red wine was about as perfect a meal as one could have hoped for.
A brilliant experience and I will be back very soon.
Amazing. I have been at Osteria a few times and the food is amazing - I went with all my family and we all tried different dishes and they were really huge servings and delicious. The service is fantastic and the restaurant has a lovely environment.
Definitely coming back :)
We have eaten at Maccaroni in the CEOs and like it very much. We were delighted when we saw that it was opening in our suburb. We were not disappointed. The food was just as good and the service was even better! Great value for money.
Good food with reasonable price tag. Very authentic Italian food - run by Italian migrate. Had the squid ink pasta, it was nicely cooked. My friend had the pasta with truffle, was amazing.
I have been twice now and the food is wonderful! Went with 20 cousins (most Italians) and sampled many dishes. The gnocchi is so cheesy and delicious, the parpadelle funghi amazing, and the cannelloni legit. I don't understand the bad reviews, and II eat out a lot. My moods are affected by what I eat, so I have high standards! I came after learning these guys run Maccaroni in the city. I'll be back.
Good value local Italian restaurant. Two of us had a very enjoyable evening meal. We chose risotto and pasta dishes and the meals were excellent. The service was friendly and attentive. This is a very good value local Italian restaurant and we will certainly be going again.
I went there for lunch and I liked it very much. I ate the involtini siciliani and I found that typical Sicilian dish really fantastic. I also tried the tiramisù and it was delicious. I raccomended it!
Love the food, authentic Italiana. Sicilian peasant style. Great wine. Cheap. Unbeatable friendly service. Been there twice and will go again.
Great job! What a wonderful place... Very very pleased with the range of food choices - generous serves - authentic Italian meals and flavors. Everyone at our table was very impressed with their meals. Well trained and helpful staff! Hope the business continues to thrive!!
