Small cafe in what is a quieter part of Brunswick St, family run.
Lunch menu items are all very simple.
Good drink/ juice/ smoothie selection with Middle Eastern flavours.
Toasties, $12, were nice. Spinach borek, $8, was a bit under done but nice. Overall pleasant, but average.
My favourite cafe! My husband and I order from here on Uber eats every Sunday and the food is always delicious. Their eggs benedict and croque madame are my absolute favourites. Also I had a slight mishap with one of my orders and they went above and beyond to remedy it, excellent customer service, can't recommend enough!
These guys know what to do
A little bit different from what you expect from a normal cafe which is exactly makes them unique
Eggs benedict and eggplant parmigiana are my favourites👌🏻
I have been there a few times before because of their really good latte, but yesterday I tried their eggs benedict it was extreamly lovely ,crispy bacon ,2 fresh sourdogh toast and also 2 poached eggs with just 10$ which is unbeleivable here.
Like Ben10 But "Uten"
+4.5
Wasn't in there for long, just had a coffee and a piece of banana bread during my work-break. Coffee was lovely, rare to find a good mocha made these days. Service is amazing, really lovely. The female server was super nice and as I watched other patrons being served, she is just amazing. The bloke behind the counter, the barista, great coffee making skills and very accommodating when I asked for my order to be changed from takeaway to eat in, no fuss, easy! Keen to come in next time and dry a dish on my days off.
Great service from a family clearly into good quality food. Dog friendly, a big plus. Great coffee and food excellent, highly recommended. Fresh produce, service with a smile which makes all the difference.
In the quieter Fitzroy North end of Brunswick Street, cafe Mio Locale, a favourite for the area’s locals, is offering a once a month Italian Sunday feast, beginning this Sunday the 17th of July.
Located on the quieter end of Brunswick Street is Mio Locale (which translates to ‘My Local’), a little gem of a cafe and restaurant in a newly renovated space. Sporting concrete walls and shiny black-tiled tables, Mio Locale gives off an industrial vibe, however trust us when we say the food is a throwback to traditional Italian feasts!
I love this place. The food is delicious and fresh. It's homestyle Italian food and run by a lovely Italian family, who make you feel so welcomed its like walking into their home. The coffee is local (Strada) and poured to perfection. They are also starting long Italian lunch feasts on Sundays which I can't wait to try.
We enjoyed a fantastic breakfast on our way to the airport. The staff where super friendly, and allowed us to customize our meals just the way we wanted to. Our meals were served promptly and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. The sweets and desserts on offer looked AMAZING but we'll have to come back and will review them next time! Two thumbs up here!👍🏼👍🏼
Such great food and synergy, every time I'm there I love the experience. Coffee is on pointe! One of my local fav's! Their selection of dishes are a credit to their ethos and passions, I love the way they mix it up adhering to seasonal change. It feels intimate authentic and cozy and love their eggs!!
Mio Locale is the perfect cafe for all serious foodies. If you want fresh and authentic flavours then look no further, as you will find it here. The atmosphere is very chilled, welcoming and on point! I love that the food pays homage to their heritage with a modern twist and that they make their own baked desserts!!! The fit-out is very cool and the staff are amazingly friendly and more than happy to welcome you in their "mio locale family". Awesome place!!
I had an early start on Saturday morning with a manicure appointment in Fitzroy North at 08:30. It takes me around 20 minutes to walk there and I was due at barre class afterwards but the more I thought about it, the more I didn't want to go and I found myself in Mio Locale instead ordering breakfast and a coffee!
One of my absolute favourite places in the Fitzroy area for basic rustic breakfast and - seriously - the best coffee in Brunswick Street I've come across on a consistent basis.
Small, simple, nicely set out, do simple things like skinny flat whites and scrambled eggs really well. Go here all the...
Went here last weekend best breakfast place in Melbourne. Do yourself a favour and try the Croque Madame with an egg - worth travelling for! Seriously. Friendly and welcoming staff and venue and great food, what more could you want!
We had brunch at this cute little gem before xmas and it was FANTASTIC!
Great family vibe (I'm pretty sure I saw mumma in the kitchen), amazing coffee, delicious food and friendly service.
There were lots of kids there too, which is amazing, given it doesn't look like a kid friendly cafe from the outside. But the kids were all tended to with a relaxed service and everyone just seemed so chilled.
They mentioned they will be making some new changes in the new year and I of one can't wait to check it out...I just hope they don't get rid of their avo on toast though, best I've had in Melbourne!!!
Keep up the good work guys and see you soon :-)
Move over hangover. Their spicy baked eggs with Ndjua - a family recipe - will blow out the cobwebs. My vote for Melbourne's best baked eggs.
Mio Locale fills a culinary and coffee gap in an odd no-man’s land section of Brunswick Street. Fitzroy’s abundant supply of cafe and shopping scene peters out abruptly at Alexandra Parade and don’t really resume again until you hit North Fitzroy village. The new Bellini apartments have now been completed on the corner of Alexandra Parade and Brunswick Street and part of the development is Mio Locale.
Love dropping by Mio locale for either breakky or lunch. The coffee is great, the service super friendly and the food just keeps me coming back. I love the eggplant parmigiana and the matcha green latte is also something to try. Don't miss this local gem!
What a fantastic little cafe and the quiet end of Brunswick St. Coffee better than I can find in my local St Kilda cafe's, and Italian fare that leaves you satisfied but still wanting more. Combine that with outstanding service from Emily and Maurice and you're on an absolute winner. You're mad if you don't pop in for a bite!
Wonderful addition to the local foodie scene in Melbourne, serving up a moveable feast of delicious food and consistently offering a high standard of coffee.
Fresh ingredients, consistently excellent coffee, good service - top quality place.. Always love their specials selections and pretty ambiance. Love.
Best coffee, service and food! Why wouldn't you?!???
I'm going to try this place out soon
Crushed Avo And Eggs On Sourdough. This is what gets me up during my busy week.. ;)
These guys have only been open a few weeks and im totally hooked to their food and more importantly their coffee!
Wonderful!. This little gem is precisely what the north end of Brunswick st needed (especially for coffee lovers) Great staff and a yummy menu. My fave so far are the baked eggs and the out of this world hot chocolate!!
