Review Kinn Thai - North Lakes

I was going to give 4 stars due to the questionable service. But the food was that good, it made up for it. I’ve been to Thailand several times and this is probably the next best thing. The food was just incredible and I’ll definitely come back.

Very high quality Thai food for most dishes. Satay chicken was overcooked. I think the Chemside one is slightly better than this store on tastes and service.

Used to be a very great place. Ordered 4 dishes today, crispy pork belly with no seasoning but only chill, orange duck but the duck is dry and tasteless. Curry were way too sweet, barely tasted any green curry. And waitress was giving weird attitude.

1 star for customers service, very unhappy with the girl (wearing glasses) who take order. We’re very easy going and happy eating people. However that girl shows her face like we don’t have any money to pay, or don’t understand her rule about banquet menu. 3 stars for food, especially spring rolls. 4 stars for food presentation. 5 stars for the drinks.

The restuarant is very good. Food is amazing and the staff were nice. Management is pretty good. However there are some inconsistencies sometimes with the food, for example today I ordered takeaway for their fried rice and the rice grains were a bit dry and it seems that it wasn’t cooked fully so the rice wasn’t as soft as I wanted. Also the size of the dish can slightly but noticeably vary.

Got a fried rice, Pad Thai, duck curry, Satay skewers and crab spring rolls. As I got the order through uber eats it was a lot more expensive. So after the $6 delivery fee the duck curry was $34.50 instead of the usual $30. And all the rest of the items were a lot more expensive too. I have been to Kinn Thai on person and have always loved it. But when you get it delivered, they could honestly care less. Meals were all average. But that Duck Curry, that very expensive duck curry.... Well it was watery and only half full with hardly anything in it. So disappointed in my meal tonight. Over $100. Just not worth it.

This is my favourite restaurant located at garden city. Excellent Thai cuisine and menu selection. Amazing drinks and cocktail lists,beautiful decor, great service. I will always recommend this place to anyone. Make sure you book. Even though it was fully booked and very busy our meals were served in a timely manner.

No great for the price but just ok once in a while. Tried booking twice to know the ambience and try their menu but they were full so thought to try delivery .. but got to say not good enough for the price we pay.

Staff are rude and unfriendly, this is my second time dining in and portion size a presentation of the food have greatly declined. The taste of the food very good but very poor service.

Spent $20 for lunch, i asked if the rice could be swapped for noodles because I can’t eat the rice, the waitress said no, it then took them 30 minutes to bring out the first lot of food, everyone got there meals except me I tried to flag down a waitress to ask where my food was there was no one insight, 45 minutes later and I finally got my food and there was more fat on my beef then there was actual beef I’m definitely not impressed

This is by far the best Thai restaurant I've been to. Food is on point �. You will not be disappointed. My wife agrees and she is Asian, so obviously she speaks as a self evident authority on the matter �

Always a favourite when craving Thai food. They constantly use fresh ingredients and their drinks are pretty too! Only let down was when we tried out their mojito..which tasted like watered down lime juice which was disappointing but we let the waitress know and she made us a new one right away.

Had the soft shell crab. Was flavor town all the way. Could of had a bit more crab (nit picking) it was that good i didn't want it to run out

Have been to this place  3 times absolutely love the food BUT the service is still pathetic after the third time. I believe most of the waitresses need training, apart from that the food is superb definitely a 10 for the chef.

Did not expect to find such great Thai food here! So often when I work in shopping centers the food is average. <br/><br/>I got the Penang lamb curry, the chicken satay skewers and a drink in a lunch deal. Perfect size for the price. Excellent satay sauce and the Penang curry was the best I’ve ever had. service was quick - I guess Monday lunch isn’t a busy period for them. Really nice setting too, sitting outside under cover with the little stream babbling by.

Second visit last night - enjoyed sharing the crispy pork belly, green chicken curry, silken tofu and the salmon carpaccio. A very generous serving of rice and the curry was exactly as you would want it. Remember to book because this place gets crowded!<br/><br/>Tried the banquet for two on the first visit and finally understood why everyone recommends Kinn Thai. Prompt service, delicious food and plenty of options.

Amazing food, ... It took a while to order the food because the line was so long. That pretty much sums up why people go here. Food was nicely prepared, will definitely go back!

Great food but the restaurant was so busy and seating a little squashed. Nevertheless the meal was worth the wait. Prices were reasonable for the quality. Lots of drink options too.

The food is great but the service is not so great.  The staff are not very friendly and if there is a problem with your meal they are very judgemental.  We got a hair in our meal and I couldnt eat it as it was a huge long thick black hair that just turned me off.  Meal was not replaced when we told them about it and we were still charged for it.

Dined here on a Friday night. Seated without a booking. Had the chicken satay sticks to share as a starter. Then shared the chicken fried rice and cashew chicken stir fry. Delicious! Very tasty! No problem taking a doggy bag home. Staff were friendly and food came very promptly. Will definitely dine again.

Restaurant was packed even on a midweek evening, so definitely book! The decor and atmosphere are lovely- it doesn't feel like a shopping centre dining experience. Service was very efficient, everything arrived quickly- they were definitely trying to push through as many people as possible- so maybe not the venue for a good chat over a relaxing meal. The food was quite good- the vege curry puffs are incredible! Portions weren't on the usual generous Thai side ( no leftovers for lunch the next day!), however they were perfectly adequate. Flavours were good, everything was fresh and tasty. I have had better Thai, cheaper and bigger portions, but from takeaway places rather than restaurants. Kinn is definitely worth a visit, but I wouldn't go out of my way for a repeat visit.

Excellent, I've tried a lot of Thai food in Thailand and this is the most authentic I have found in Aust, excellent fast service as well, can't fault.

The restaurant was small seeming very cramped but to be fair it was fairly packed being a Saturday lunch. I was greeted and seated quickly but after that it was very hard to get the wait staffs attention. The lemon tea was great and came quickly to the table. The satay chicken entree arrived shortly after and was tasty and a perfect portion size for an entree. It was some time before the main was brought out. The crying tiger salad main was very disappointing it was advertised that wagyu beef was used but instead I was giving what may of been a cheap off cut steak which was chewy and gristly also for the price it was a very small serving which could not be justified with such a poor quality meat that was used. My current opinion of my dining experience is it was bit below average and fairly costly for the size portions you are served. Currently there are better Thai restaurant options to visit.

If I could give their restaurant minus score, I would do it. Start with walk into the restaurant, stuff ignoring their customers. Second, I had been waiting for food 40 min. The food quality is not that great if I have to wait for 40 min. I would go to eat somewhere else. Also, food taste is ok. <br/>Milk tea is good. But service very poor!!!

I can almost promise you will never have a bad meal here. <br/><br/>I generally avoid thai places now because i know they wont be as tasty as Kinn 💁

Place is amazing. Extremely quick service once seated. Food is great and fresh tasting. I feel like I'm in a nice bustling city restaurant on Southbank once seated. Customer service is fantastic too

Awsome... Just Awsome! one of the best Thai restaurants in Brisbane, hands down. Couldn't recommend enough. Great staff, BYO alcohol and a varied menu. The prices are reasonable for the quality of food, which is exceptional.

Very busy place. Good atmosphere.<br/>Few dishes are not authentic. They cook for Aussie palate (sweet and bland). <br/>I couldn't finish main dish because it was too sweet.

A very busy restaurant, reasonably priced food. The serve isn't very big but great for small groups as you are able to try a wide variety of dishes. Food comes out really quickly and very tasty. If you are going during the weekend, best to make a booking!

Really good Thai food. It was very busy but we were seated quickly. Service was fine, not very friendly and meals all brought out very quickly without staggering, so it did seem very rushed. The atmosphere is lovely and the food was all delicious, portion sizes seemed small but we left very full. We'll be back!

Came here with a small group a few days ago. We ordered a dish each and shared everything so that we got to try a few different things. All the meals were fantastic - so tasty and good for the price. <br/><br/>The service was friendly and polite but there were a couple of things that let this place down for me: First was that after our first drinks we were never asked if we wanted anything else and the empty glasses sat on our table for the rest of the time we were there. However, I will say they seemed understaffed. I only saw 4 servers the whole night for a full restaurant with a couple of pretty large tables. <br/><br/>The second thing was that the staff started clearing all our plates without asking if we were done; one person at the table had an almost full plate and was clearly still eating. (And yet the empty glasses were left on the table?)<br/><br/><br/>Overall nice food. The service was fine but not excellent.<br/><br/><br/>

Hubby and I had an early dinner here last Saturday night and we were not disapointed. We each got a starter, main and drinks for around $70. The food was amazing and very reasonably priced. The service was fast and everyone was polite. The food was quick to get to the table even though it was quite busy. We will definitely be coming back to try everything on the menu! Would recommend to everyone!

This place has fairly fast service. Always delicious food and a nice atmosphere to dine in. Been back a few times now. Would definitely recommend

Food was great as alway. Waiter couldn't speak English very well, so it was bit hard. Had vegetarian curry, I recommend add lychees to it or even pineapple.

The food here was beautiful and came out so quickly. The kitchen staff work so quick considering the place was packed. The meals are all reasonably priced too. The only bad thing is they seat so many people at the same time that it becomes a bit squishy, I would definitely go back though!

Great food and awesome cocktails! Ordered the Massaman lamb shank and green curry. Lamb fell off the bone, succulent and tender, the curry was sweet which balanced well with the roti. Delicious quality food and great atmosphere. A bit pricey tho. No regrets.

I have been waiting to try this restaurant for a while now - wasn't disappointed! Had the Masaman Beef and was very impressed. This with the satay chicken skewers for entree was absolutely delicious. Will be back

Great food experience<br/>I have eaten here second time and ever time the food is delicious and service is great. We had to wait for our meal both time but it worth the wait. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who like Thai food.

Wow this is some seriously good quality and tasty food.I would recommend the satay chicken skewers, the tamarind pork ribs and the salt and pepper squid!

There is a reason why this place is always super packed! I have a soft spot for anything soft shell crab and it was hard to choose between the two on the menu. The one with jam sauce won and certainly did not disappoint. There's a great atmosphere here and the service is attentive but the food is definitely the star! Deserves a revisit for sure.... Booking recommended!

We ordered lamb shank, crying tiger salad, Panang curry and pad Thai and everything was delicious! The restaurant ambience is nice and the staff were lovely and polite. All three of us really enjoyed our meal.
