Review Blue Infusion - North Lakes

Daniel Campbell
Great coffee, location, live music. Came here after church with my sparkly đź’– wife, ordered a latte and a flat white $10. Great latte, smooth texture to the foam, Nice temperature to the milk, darker flavour to the bean, a little caramel in the Crema. Nice work. Great service.

Nice place. Lovely and green with lots of plants outside. Good being a pet friendly cafe as we had our cat in her crate and didn't want to leave her in the car. Service was friendly. Drinks - special order coffee thickshake was lovely and creamy. Thick and tasty. Latte was good. Iced coffee was ok. Pity about the tinned cream. But it was a good size and cold. Food - Eggs bene with salmon was good, except the eggs were hard. Loved the amount of hollandaise sauce. Certainly didn't leave me wanting. Acai bowl was very tasty. Deliciously creamy and a perfect portion size. Eggs on toast with a side of sausage - presentation of sausages was interesting, nice though. Toast was underdone, was more like bread. Egg was cooked nicely. Parking was on the street but very close to the seating. All in all, a lovely breakfast at a reasonable price.

Delicious big breakfast with all the trimmings and great coffee! The staff were also very helpful and friendly. I’ll be back for sure :)

Roomy with plenty of options for sitting. Looks to be child-friendly and the service was friendly. In saying that - the coffee was very weak with no body or flavour and what was supposed to be sourdough, was definitely not, or some very bad imitation of it. The toast was very dry and crumbly, disappointing (and perhaps even insulting) - Insulting, because, going by other pics in the reviews, I feel as though we were given the imitation sourdough bread, because older folks won’t know the difference. Bacon, poached eggs, hash browns were fine, but Coffee Club could pull it off better. Dry, (supposed Sourdough) toast is the one thing that will always, always, deter me from ever going back to a cafe. Please don’t have sourdough on your menu board, if you don’t have the real thing. It’s insulting to your customers and embarrassing for your business. We know the real deal, because we make sourdough bread ourselves…the real thing!

We came to the cafe with no booking with 4 adults and 5 children. The staff were amazing setting up tables for us to be at. Everyone was so friendly. The food was incredible and the coffee delicious. There were well maintained outdoor activities for the children and plenty of space for them to run around without disturbing other patrons. This cafe is dog friendly and they obviously love dogs with ready water and treats and cuddles for the dogs. Our visit was just before Easter and the staff were generous to the children with Easter treats I cannot express how impressed we were with this cafe and will absolutely be back.

Generous cafe, nice coffee...very humble staff! I love berry muffin and I ordered one but they put a chocolate muffin instead. I just went back and they gave me a berry muffin with a complimentary chocolate muffin

Good quality breakfast with live music when I visited. Also dog friendly. But a bit pricey for its menu compared to other cafes nearby, especially for the $12 thick shake, it’s way too expensive for its size and average taste.

A great place for a treat. Crunchie drink and avo and feta cheese were delicious

I love coming to Blue Infusion. They have the best coffee in North Lakes and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. Their food is also excellent!!

The food was quite nice but the milkshakes are INSANE!! Worth the trip for the cool variety of shakes alone. Bit pricey for me personally though.

The place was setup nice and had a good vibe. Food was not to bad and the service was quick. Nothing too fantastic though. The ammenities were really bad. Not sure if it’s maintained by the building management or the owner.

My friend and I stumbled across this nicely set out cafe in a quiet street. It was a hot day so we both got an Acai Bowl. Sadly, the acai blend was too icy and a little strong on the orange juice. The muesli and fruit toppings were good.

I'm really disappointed about the service at this cafe. The wait for food was excessive. My partner waited 49 minutes, however mine came after over an hour and only after we went up to complain. It turns out my food was given to someone else. Two women next to us had a coffee forgotten and also had an hour wait even after going to the counter twice to try to hurry the process up. Another small group also complained the wait time. The cost was way too high for average food and an hour wait. North Lakes needs a great breakfast place, but this place definitely isn't it.

Not the best coffee in North Lakes, unmemorable as we call it. Our coffees were more soy tasting than coffee. There are other places locally for a better coffee.

Very unimpressed with our recent visit here. Again, our eggs were undercooked, the last few times we've been here we brought it down to the cafe being so busy but today was quiet and they were still undercooked. Meals came out relatively slow, coffee was ok. When I mentioned my eggs were not cooked the lady said she will get me some new eggs, i sat back down and watched the chef have a go about it, my eggs came back out and they were the same eggs completely unappealing, over cooked, torn apart and soaked in water all over my toast, now soggy and not edible. I was starving and ate the rest of the food which was mediocre. The cafe itself is quite dirty when you look around and there's always flys hanging around. Very overpriced for what you get and service was average. The only thing going for them is their crazy thick shakes which were more of a milkshake. We came back to this place because it is close but we will definitely not be back again. It does have potential to be better.

I wanted so badly to like this little cafe, but I was left wanting. The coffee was terribly bitter, and I received my meal a full 20 mins before my partner so we couldn't even eat together. We were both served bread, not toast. The scrambled eggs weren't scrambled and had ribbons of uncooked egg white through it. Even the hash brown had been cooked for far too long in low temp oil so all we could taste was the vegetable oil. The poor young waiter who was working so hard to serve everyone dropped off every meal around us and each one was served with a heartfelt apology. The kitchen staff really need to get their shit together, or come out and apologise themselves!

Good coffee but thought with a cold drink they would serve it with a glass of ice.. Quite the opposite. I sat there waiting for my coke and after a while I had to go and ask where is it and the staff told me to get it out of the fridge. I thought this was a cafe... Not a servo

Had lunch at this lovely little cafe in an industrial area of North Lakes. The thick shakes are an absolute work of art and taste Devine. I ordered a chai latte and it was perfection. The staff were pleasant. The food was cafe standard. Nothing special but tasty enough. The drinks are definitely the draw card and for this I would go to this cafe again.

Modern cafe with an open feel. Friendly service. Unfortunately the coffee was bitter (three sugars couldn't even hide the sin of burnt grounds). It was toward the end of the day, but a decent coffee is a basic expectation of a cafe (IMO). The banana bread was satisfactory, but needed the accompanying butter.

The service is friendly and the coffee is good but the food is a bit expensive for what you get. Although the food is yum I won't rush to go back.

This is my regular cafe on weekends for coffee. The coffee is always great here at a reasonable price. The food isn't quite up to scratch and a little pricey for the serving size. The service is always friendly and pretty quick.

Coffee is nice but honestly you can cook better at home. Eggs Benedict come out on English muffins and are not even toasted!! Very expensive for what you get.
