Review Pastaissimo - North Lakes

So after so many good reviews we went to try it. Have mixed feelings. Pizza dough was very good but topping hmm for me too much cheese, mushrooms were black ( cooked from not exacly fresh) not enough tomato paste, ham was not cheap and cut thinly which was perfect. Spaghetti was okey huge portion for an entree Can tell they do their own pasta which is great but tasted a bit like noodles , sauce okey but not much meat at all no spices a bit watery like if someone used passata and add water. Missed fresh parsley and other herbs basil oregano, parmesan not fresh. Also was super hot in restaurant they have very poor air con we had to sit outside which was okey as got nice view of the lake . Giving 4 stars as pizzerias in this whole area are terrible serve usually frozen dough and ingriedients that always makes me sick after all . Can tell Pastassimo cooks from fresh would recommend for family dinner no problems giving this food to children. Would give them 5 stars if they were using fresh herbs or any herbs at all

Venue: cute hole in the wall type place Parking: easily accessible (ramp for wheelchair and a side staircase) Not so much going on for interior/exterior design- but there is a welcoming vibe/feel to the place. Coffee is amazing. The breakfast menu is my absolute favourite! The serving portions are worth every buck. Check them out when you have the chance!

True to Italian cuccina it reminds me of Italy where all the food is made and cooked with love. We ordered family size OMG and enjoyed it again the next day ....so good 😍 Looking forward to many more great dinners

Good value meals CV which were enjoyable. We arrived before closing but we're told the kitchen would close in 15 mins so we had to get our order which is fine. But cleaning around us seemed to be just a bit extreme particular as we had to remind them of the desserts we ordered. Still the food was good.

Another amazing family night out at our fantastic always beautiful Italian restaurant. We’ve been coming here for a very long time and celebrated many many family and friends birthdays and special occasions. Thanks 🙏 for being so very welcoming and always welcoming us home.

Disappointed with the food at this place, gave it a second go in the hopes it would have improved but it hasn’t. Size is large in portion but lacks quality, flavour and did not appear to be fresh in the slightest. Pasta was very Clearly pre cooked and re-heated, as also was the roast chicken they use as opposed to making it fresh. Garlic bread (or whatever it is called) was basically dough with cheap minced garlic smothered all over it…… It seems like alot of corners are being cut to save on costs and improve business revenue however this is only driving customers away. I have eaten much better take away style Italian for a portion of the cost, Incase you are looking to eat here- this is certainly not “authentic” Italian food at all….

Probably the best Pizza I have had in my life, anywhere! I'm sad because I moved out of the area, but always love going back when I can. The base is always great, and the toppings are always fresh. Try a prosciutto, fetta, and pumpkin pizza for the win!

While the food here is delicious, in very impressive portion sizes (I've never once been able to finish the Parma and Spaghetti, or the Ricotta Pancakes at Breakfast for example!) one of my very favourite things about this place, is the wonderful friendly welcome I get every time I go there. I don't go a huge amount, but I am always welcomed by name. The pizza is second to none, and the pastas always delicious, my go to is the Parma.
