In the relatively remote part of North Parramatta I stay in, this restaurant is among the very few within close proximity. And thankfully, it is darn good too!
As a vegetarian, I do have a bit of choice here. And when I don't, the staff members are usually accommodating enough to prepare a 'vegetarian version' for me!
The vegetarian spring rolls and mixed vegetables are my picks. Pad thai and spicy fried rice are really good too! The banana split deserves a special mention as well.
The place is nice and cosy, with friendly staff. Highly recommended!

Hands down the best Thai place in Parramatta. Always go here with the family and every dish we try is absolutely delicious! We always order their fried rice, pad thai, spring rolls and satay skewers. You don't need to trek it all the way to Newtown to get reasonably priced and delicious Thai food. Thai Garden House rocks!
service was slow but friendly. food but pretty nice and atmosphere wasnt bad. satay sause was very thick and not really good. green curry & panang curry was nice
A surprisingly good little restaurant in north parra. Although you can eat your heart out at some of the Thai options in parra cbd, this small restaurant seems to deliver authentic and reasonably sized dishes for a very good price.
The Tom yum has a lovely balance between sweet and sour and just a touch of heat which is so comforting in winter. They're also quite generous with the prawns in serving.
The pad si ew is also well balanced and has a lovely sauce that is soaked up by the rice noodle.
Personally I really liked the drunken noodles however depending on the night can come really spicy, if you let them know you're spice tolerance however, they're pretty good.
A really nice takeaway away from the hustle and bustle of the cbd.
If you relish Thai flavours this is a must visit. It was recommended by a friend and we were certainly pleased with it. Loved the green curry veggies coupled with steam rice and pad Thai noodles. These were too much in terms of serving size for two of us. Relished the deep fried ice cream which we saw after a long time since we last had it in India.. loved it.. make sure you book your table as it remains a favourite of lots of people with an easy location with nearby free parking as well.
We've only ever gotten takeout from here as it's right around the corner from home. Some tasty dishes, in particular I recommend the Hangover Noodles--it's basically everything thrown together in a wok with flat thin rice noodles and heaps of chili. Delish...especially with a hangover ;)
Literally a large cottage on the busy Church Street, but a lovely sight.
Made a reservation and the waitress that greeted me at the door was very polite and led me upstairs to my table. She was efficient and observant throughout the evening on the case a diner needed something. I found that amusing as it was the service of a five star eatery.
The food came out at a reasonable pace despite how quickly the restaurant packed out.
I first ordered the Medium Rare Beef Salad. The meat was exactly as described and was beautifully seasoned with it a usually ginger, coriander, lemongrass, chilli and what not. All ingredients I rate as fresh and of good quality. Very impressed with this dish and boy, it was spicy so that's a big plus on my books.
I ended with my absolute favourite, a Pad Thai noodle dish. First thing I noticed was how short the noodles were though what topped that such in particular were the flavors. Usually with Thai restaurants in Sydney, it's sweetened to the max to suit the western palate but this plate was all about balance. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo as I dug right in but I did convert the meat to Lamb. Was a regretful choice as I found the lamb very tough.
An overall enjoyable dining experience and will definitely return. Outside their entrance also is a banner stating they were the 2013 winners of being Sydney's best Thai restaurant. Cudos, they still amazed me and had me leaving with a smile.
This place has been in Parra for ages and has a good strong local following. The food is authentic and delicious with great flavours. I love the coconut rice here and the pad thai.
Awesome local Thai restaurant, the ambience and food is always on point. I come here very often and fail to ever see fault in their food however I wish their service wasn't as slow sometimes otherwise it would of been 5 stars!
Btw if you're a coconut rice lover, NO ONE makes it better than Thai Garden house!!!!!! Argh it's amazing
Visited last Saturday for dinner and had a very enjoyable meal. A lot of variety on the menu and very flavourful tasty food. We ordered the chicken tom yum and spring rolls to start and penang lamb and steamed ginger barramundi for mains. Every dish was delicious! Cost was around $70 including a beer and corkage for byo wine. There are many Thai restaurants in Parramatta but this has become our new favorite! We will definitely be regulars. It was very busy so recommend making a booking.
Love this restaurant, had been here for a few years now. The owner is always friendly, food is great. You can't go wrong with this place. And it's also value for money too.
Awesome pat Thai and hangover noodles... Yummy!!!!!!
This is a really great local Thai restaurant. The food is delicious, so fresh and tasty and priced really well. The menu is quite varied and they have a good selection of specials every time we visit (this time it was Green Mango Salad with Barramundi - yum). Service is really friendly and they recognise us now that we've been quite a few times. Really like visiting here at the end of the work week to chill out and relax.
Food was very nice had the pad see eew was better then most places overall everyone was happy with the food here. The service however was very sloppy we had a table for 8 and the last 3 meals took approximately 25 minutes from when the first main came out.
The best Thai in the west! I always have a great experience here. The frying tiger dish is absolutely superb. It is very much worth the drive out.
This is a typical thai place with mostly standard thai food. The service is very good, and the food is nice although a touch pricy. As the name suggests the restaurant is inside a rustic old house that has a nice coz ambience. Overall, if you overlook the price, the place is probably one of the finest Thai restaurants around (that I have been to).
(Y). Wonderful thai restaurant, and very cosy setting.
Had a family gathering And.... Had a family gathering
And the staff were very helpful and polite
Food was abundant as we got the banquet menu.
As we went during the week we had had the whole the outside to our selves. Staff allowed us to decorate and bring our own music 'not loud though'. So all in all a very enjoyable night.
Thai garden. Great food and top service but more expensive than other Thai resturants
The food here is excellent
I gave been there three times and the food is so nice
They make the best honey chicken
The food was good, the ambience in the courtyard was nice and very relaxing. The staff were very attentive, accomodating and very friendly. They turned an extra heater on just to make us comfortable. We ordered 4 starters and 5 mains and the food came out in no time. Joey, the waiter, kept coming around to top up the rice and the wine. I really enjoyed their chilli prawns, garlic seafood combination and the bbq lamb with this oyster/soy sauce of some sort. It was a very good and an enjoyable night. The owner even came around to chit chat to us. All in all, thumbs up for this place.
Best service, amazing food! Definitely a regular restaurant for me and my family! Been going here for years and never lets down. Best of the best thai service and food anywhere!
Second time we've been there. Service a bit slow tonight but the food was excellent again. Good value. Good ambience. Good food.
