I always have the best time here. We love it, food is amazing staff are fast and professional but always friendly and make you feel special. We even had my daughters hens high tea here ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Love the shop too, I always come home with a little something. I just love everything about chinta.
Will definitely be back again, again and again 😃💫🙏🏼
This place was awesome with a cool kwirky vibe. Was there Sunday morning the 19th of nov
Even though a male staff member looked at us and didn’t even bother to say hello on arrival, the food was ahmazing sooo on point. I tried the Spanish omelette & the coconut yoghurt shake that was delicious my partner had the almond croissant with nasi goreng so tasty but the coffee was the best I had in ages we will be back thank you to try more of the menu ;)
I really enjoyed the breakfast options, the food was super the coffee tip top & the fruit juices are divine. Our waiter Pierre was excellent & I can thoughly recommend Chinta.
My friend & I attended today for a high tea. The service was great: friendly & organised. The food was delicious. I loved the venue. It’s like an elegant jungle, beautiful & full of plants. Flowers everywhere, including with your food! Even the toilet was like a mini safari :) I’d highly recommend the high tea!!!
Could not fault this place. The food, the service and the atmosphere is perfect. Would recommend the rainbow juice
I’ve been to Chinta soooo many times and never once been disappointed. I recommend Chinta to all my friends and colleagues.
I love the decor, coffee is brilliant and the staff are AMAZING!
Definitely a must!
Welcoming staff, service was very attentive, food was delicious. Would recommend and go back
Such a quirky place, the ambience was amazing only surpassed by the freshness and quality / presentation of the gorgeous food, will definitely go again, thoroughly recommended! 5 star
Our girls catchup lunch was delicious, wonderful service , cosy interesting surroundings, loved Chinta , highly recommend, will be back 👍❤️😊
On a recommendation my wife & I went to Chinta for a late breakfast. Great recommendation. There's a lot to love about this place not just for the food. Suburb service, relaxing and almost meditational feel (except the excited chatter of food lovers connecting with friends and family) with a Bali vibe. Onto the food - We had (taken from menu) Shark Bay Blue Swimmer Crab Omelette, Lightly scrambled and folded – chilli – lemon – chives & Avo on Toast - Poached Eggs - Seeded sourdough – Avo – Walnut Pesto – Feta – Coriander – Lime. The drinks were perfect for a warm day - Smoothie: Mixed Berry and Rainbow Juice - strawberries – mandarin – apple – Pineapple. We sat outside which isn't licensed however at 11:30am I'm OK with that. Prices are probably on the higher end however the quality and portion size makes that a none issue. We'll definately be back. Chinta-rific :)
Service was really good & staff really friendly, if going for brunch I would recommend booking as they do get busy. The food was really good & everyone enjoyed their meals.
Delicious food and great vibes, however very difficult place to find parking. There are few bays next to the cafe everything else is reserved or off limits, makes it too difficult to visit.
We came here to have their high tea for the first time. Food was good, love their savory more than their sweets selection. Very nice decor and relax vibe. Staff was very friendly and attentive.
Went there on a busy morning, loved the design and the atmosphere . We only got desserts and coffees, ice mocha was very average, everything else was perfect. Would be back to try more .
This cafe is a place I’ve only been to once as it’s a bit further away than my local cafes but heck, if you wanna feel like you’ve just walked into a beautiful bohemian haven than look nowhere else because I haven’t seen a place like this cafe in Perth. The food is good, it offers varied Indonesian cuisine in the breakkie and lunch menu alongside western meals both naughty and clean. Loveeely atmosphere, one of my top 2 for it in Perth. I went on a Sunday for lunch and got hit with the ‘shoot, this place is busy’ so book a table in advance for your preferred seating as there’s a lot of different yet beautiful areas. We waited ten minutes and got a table which, I’m sure can be avoided altogether once you know it’s a popular place and ring ahead.
What a gem! Menu is strange to me with a mix of standard cafe fare then the thrown in Asian and Mexican BUT with food this good who cares and I’m more partial to Asian food so win for everyone.
Very busy however not long until we were seated and our orders taken, two of us ordered Benny’s Buns and all was delicious although the ‘asian salad’ could of been amped up, carrots, cucumber and red onion with no dressing doesn’t scream Asian to me however it added texture and crunch to the bao and the absolutely scrumptious and tender brisket. Our other friend ordered Chinta noodles which I tried and they were delicious also. Definitely worth a visit, but get there early to find parking!
Great settings, really pretty and set up to feel like your tucked away in an indoor garden. Good food and good coffee. Usually busy most times so may have to wait for awhile as wait staff can get quite busy attending to other customers.
Street full of cars on a cold friday morning. After stepping through what felt like old warehouse doors you are greeted but the hussle and bussle of an eastern tropical cafe hidden inside. Food was decent but coupled with the decor and experience, it made the cold morning day somewhat melt away.
Little art-sie/souvenir shop at the front also.
One of those gems in the suburbs that everyone in perth should check out atleast once.
Really enjoyed breakfast at Chinta.
Large servings and lots of variety. Also caters well for Vegans, gluten free , dairy free and vegetarians.
Only one complaint and that was that the coconut muesli needed a bit of milk added - the yoghurt wasn’t enough.
Just wish there was more parking nearby!
Will definitely be back.
Birthday lunch , food beautiful as always.. I highly recommend CHINTA 😋 Great service, great food . Great atmosphere, great little gift shop
Fast service , within 10-15m , food was delicious. We had the pulled pork hash and chorizo, beans and egg. It was very tasty, would’ve been nice to have a mimosa or wine with our lunch , waitress said they didn’t serve alcohol, but several tables had a bottle of wine , perhaps BYO... but coffee did the trick.
First time been there but absolutely great foods and drinks! Chill and relaxing environment. Love the way chefs decor their plates but I personally think portions are quite much. And we got Bali-styled expierience 😘😘😘 there accordingly so we will be back again.
After hearing so much about this cafe we finally booked a table here on Sunday for lunch. It was very busy .. so glad we booked a table in advance as they quickly seated us. Lunch was superb, the staff friendly and helpful. We had Bibim Bap and Chicken Quesadilla ... both yummy!!! Love the Balinese inspired atmosphere of the place. There is also has a homeware store in the cafe.
Yummy mug of coffee and orange cake. Absolutely beautiful cafe with excellent service. We loved browsing the little shop of random bits afterwards.
Absolutely amazing surroundings and layout of the cafe . Styled with beautiful green plants, gorgeous big red oriental style umbrellas, huge pieces of great artwork and so much more. The menu is quite large and there are vegan options available too.
Huge range of different types of food ! From your basic bacon and eggs to Indian, and asian. Drinks menu Is wonderful , amazing juices ! And you can modify them if there and ingredients you don’t like also had the chocolate lovers dream, very cool way to serve a hot chocolate (see picture)
So so many cake options , had the honeycomb cheesecake which was delicious and it comes with a pot of yummy cream 😀 and of course the food presentation is gorgeous!
Food was great , drinks were great , layout was great , customer service was great , desert was great ! Second time I’ve come to Chinta and I’m never disappointed 😋
Had the high tea:
• Good assortment of food
• Nice set up
• Good service
• Not the absolute best high tea in Perth
• Vegan selection looked better than the regular
Absolutely love this place. Every time I go the staff are attentive and the food is fantastic. On one particular morning it did take a while for our food but I put this down to how busy it was, as on every other occasion there has been little wait. Would recommend to anyone.
The restaurant was gorgeous with a large variety of eye catching art pieces and features plotted around the seated area, allowing for great conversation topics whilst eating. The food was good with the serving size living up to the slightly high prices. Overall a very individual and well though out restaurant that i would definitely recommend.
Location is awesome and the interior is really unique not like any cafe I’ve seen before. Service is fast and friendly. The meals I’ve had have been good but at times disappointing. The Benny buns were lacking and didn’t fill me up. The Mexican quesadilla I had was nice, ingredients were there but no really stand out flavours. I like this place but I’m still looking for a stand out dish.
This place is simply stunning. From the scent of the Jasmine blowing through the restaurant, the wonderfully attentive and friendly staff to the incredible food. My girlfriend Rosie and I have breakfast here as often as we can and are always blown away by the experience.
The first time I came with a friend on a Sat morning, we ordered the brisket and the beef cheek omelette. Both looked and tasted great. On subsequent visits tho, it looked different, still enjoyable but different standards coming out of the kitchen. Book ahead to be on the safe side!
I really like this place, I've been a few times now for breakfast. If you have 8 or more people you can book a reserved area upstairs which is so nice. I love the decor and Balinese theme. Food has always been amazing.
The only down side is the toilet upstairs was really smoky? Not sure if it was the kitchen or what is was? But go check Chinta out it's definitely worth a visit.
Amazing venue food faultless service and charm highly recommend Chinta and the Owner are also lovely Food with a good selection and drinks wow juices were freshly juice all so good
Come here for breakfast the decor was great. I had the full breakfast it was awsome home made hash brown and bake beans was really good pretty much everything was good my grandma loved the eastern omelette with the pull beef and the tumeric latte was awesome and the service was great.
A friend called to book a table for 6 people and one baby to celebrate a birthday. They were very accommodating for bubba and brought up a high chair. They placed us in a secluded spot upstairs which made it easier to hear conversation at the table. Their servers were attentive and quick to serve. Very friendly too. The food and drink was pretty delicious. My almond milk coffee was enjoyable, not bitter or watery at all (which is what I have come to expect with almond milk coffees). My chorizo hotpot like dish was tasty and the gluten free bread was fresh and tasty. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The only down side is the horrendous parking, but there's not much they can do about that in a residential area. Will be going back again!
Loved the vibe and style of this place. The food was really good too, especially the homemade baked beans in the vegan breakfast. The cakes were nice, homemade style. There was a bug in the food, but that happens anywhere, we weren't too fussed. All in all a lovely cafe and would definitely go back.
Had lunch at Chinta today, service was excellent, food was amazing, will definitely be back, the Chinta noodles was so good and tasty and the serving was big, couldn't even fit cake on after...😂
The restaurant have a nice interior decoration. Love their caramel and hazelnut latte. The food are beautiful. I try chicken quesadilla and my friend have bao. All of them are yummy. The staffs are friendly and helpful.
Coffee was amazing, I had too many. I ordered the BIG Vegan Breakfast. The beans and mushrooms were fantastic. Quirky and cute atmosphere. Little shop at the side was good for browsing. Only down side was lack of parking.
Fabulous little gem with a Balinese inspired alfresco area where you can dine on sun beds. Delicious food and an amazing gift shop. Dresses, knick knacks and gorgeous gift ideas. Definitely give this place a try.
Chinta is a pretty well known name to the diners of Perth. After forging a fierce reputation during their tenure in Scarborough, they’ve recently relocated to North Perth to a larger space that showcases their ode to Bali life and culture.
Went here with a friend of mine. She was extremely pleased with this place, I had a lukewarm response tho.
The Wagyu Burger was pretty good. It's juicy and tasty. A bit pricey in my opinion though.
The bahn mi was really good. A combination of crispy crackling, shredded pork belly, with gochujang is really good. A pretty huge portion for a relatively expensive price.
The food is well above average, but so is the price
Our meal got given to someone else and the service wasn't that great. This Thai beef salad though was fresh and delicious, after all we were there for the food!

So happy to have enjoyed a lunch here. My friend mentioned this place ages ago & I completely forgot about it. Finally found it and we were happy we did. Funky cafe, with a gorgeous Balinese shop attached. Service was spot on and very friendly. I had the French eggs Benedict on a croissant , it was nice but the standout was the thick bacon which was sensational!! He had the fish and chips, and she had the brisket with eggs and a lemon hollandaise sauce, they both enjoyed it. Presentation on all dishes was amazing , huge serves, and you can easily share so next time would do that. Great spot to go with the girls ! Prices are a tiny bit high but they do match the huge serves you get..
I have family that lives just around the corner from Chinta and every time we drive past it is packed to the brim! So when my Aunty’s birthday rolled around we finally decided to check it out. The location of Chinta, a renovated petrol station / workshop, is really quite charming. They’ve kept the original exposed hardwood beams, rusted corrugated iron roofing and a mix of old and new brick, however the interior decoration is reminiscent of a relaxing Bali resort; filled with a collection of different chairs and tables, exotic umbrellas, cute trinkets, trickling water features and live plants. I can see why people love coming here, it’s relaxing and interesting and a lovely spot to unwind with a delicious meal.
Mondays are the only day I'm able to brunch due to work and Church commitments. We all know that's the worst day for it, many cafes are closed on Mondays, and absolutely no one else I know is free to brunch on Mondays. Especially after Miss D just had to get herself a full time job. I know, how inconsiderate of her! Then one public holiday, my opportunity to brunch blew wide open. So of course I took it with open arms.
We love Chinta and always used to go when they were located in Innaloo. Love the Coffee's & Cakes.
Staff are lovely and so are the owners. Beautiful Place really like it. I had the Tumeric Latte & Blueberry Tart was lovely. My sister has her usual Orange & Poppy Seed Muffin and Earl Grey Tea. Lovely Atmosphere too and nice & big compared to the last premises. Love it Guys
All the Best Linda
What an interesting place, very nice authentic set-up with a nifty shop inside. The staff were very friendly and mostly accommodating, even when we knocked over a coffee (sorry). I was a bit disappointed however when I asked for a kids serving but was told "we prefer to only let children order from that menu." I was a little bit embarrassed so I ordered from the main menu however left most of my food on the plate as I can't eat much. It was however tasty and my family also enjoyed their meals.
It isn't very good for parking unfortunately but at least we got to walk off some of the calories.
Chinta has a new telephone number ( 08 )94447939 and a new web site where you can make bookings which are essential as this place is very popular ..Walk in only on the weekends until 12.30 then you can make a booking...
Amazing ambiance and atmosphere, cool music ,and a real buzz
Awesome venue! We went on a Sunday and it was really busy, but worth the wait for a table. They have all day breakfast and lunch, so awesome selection of food, and quality equally as good 👍👍
Delicious vegan big breakfast on a Sunday morning. Staff were so friendly, atmosphere was beautiful and prices were very reasonable! Would definitely come back here again 🌿☺️
Had a breakie w my nieces.... she got the bimbimbap which is so nice and tender meat. These dishes is too big for us that we can not finish it up. However, I got a little disappointed about my crispy pork belly ... the crispy crakle was over cooked ... and it was bitter... so that i can not finish it... For a dessert... i got sticky rice... it was ok...
Best chilled vibes here and cutest boutique store attached to the cafe. Nice Asian fusion food here, little bit exy but it is worth it. The cafe has improved so much since the move from double view🙌🏼
This a large, beautiful cafe with lots of different areas including a garden, and even when busy you can get a table fairly quickly.
Lunches well priced and tasty. Wonderful customer service - we appreciated the free coffees when there was a mix up with the tables. Old fashioned service goes a long way!
Love this place, such a great little cafe! Been here a couple of times and it's a really nice ambience especially in the warmer weather in the courtyard. Yummy food, great choice of delicious smoothies and shakes and very good service.
Delicious and great atmosphere. Had the big breaky, the potato croquette is amazing. Would definitely like to try lunch or dinner menu :) :)
Had a lovely brekkie with work friends today. The service was friendly not too in your face, meals were cooked quickly and the quality of food is great. I had the French eggs benedict and it's was a lovely take on the traditional with croissant and Brie instead of muffin or bread. I have to agree on the paper straw from other reviews for the iced chai latte, because of the ice cream you definitely need a spoon as well to stir and get access to the bottom. Overall though I can't wait to return and try other items on the menu :)

Visited Chinta on a couple of occasions, once for afternoon tea and the other for breakfast. It's a nice spacious cafe, particularly with a pram or catch ups for mum's group.
At 8am on a Sunday morning, we could easily get a bay in their very tiny car park. The tumeric latte was the stand out for me, yum! We ordered the coconut muesli, corn beef hash and pork belly. Out of the three dishes, the pork belly was the dish of the day with a large serving of crispy skin but tender pork belly on kimchi risotto. The price however was reflective of the large serving size. The other two dishes were nice and definitely worth ordering.
For the afternoon tea, I got the apple rhubarb crumble. Yum yum yum! It was one of the nicest crumbles I have had, which also have been influenced by the rhubarb (love it). Highly recommend this place! The only downside is the limited parking, particularly on rainy days.
Love the decor, and happy they decided to move to a bigger venue compared to the last. Food, coffee and drink is always consistent, however, prices are a tad steep for the service and portion size you get.
Chinta is simply gorgeous! Balinese style setting with such a beautiful summer vibe 😍 Second time I've been here and always impressed with the food and customer service. I ordered the Gua Bao"Benny Buns" fluffy steamed lotus buns with my friend ordering a brekky dish (can't remember the name but tasted delicious!). The cafe is super big so it's very unlikely you'll need to wait for a seat. Would pop by again to satisfy those inner Asian tastebuds!
Delicious food, delightful staff, plenty of seating, adorable gift store. A lot of effort has gone into creating a wonderful zen about the place.
Love the set up and decor. Took us a while to get the menu after being seated. Service was good after that though, minor mistake that can happen. Food was good, my partner and I got the big breakfast with a side of hollandaise - pretty epic. Big meals and felt like value for money. Highly recommended and will return 👍🏿
Had the vegan breakfast and my partner had the big breakfast. Awesome food, really fresh and good quality. The baked beans are so good. Really good coffee too. Decor is amazing.
This place is sooooooo rad! Came here on a sunny Monday morning with my two beanies to enjoy a scrumptious breakfast. Friends got the coconut Yoghurt muesli and the vegan bruschetta. Cleared their plates and just about licked them clean! 😬 banana bread here is to die for, as well as a great two slice serve for only $8(!!!?). I had the Atlantic bagel, extremely healthy and fresh tasting. Not too overloaded on the hollandaise and the bread tasted freshly baked. I've attached pictures below but do not miss out on the banana bread and the muesli 😊 will be getting the muesli next time, it is a beautiful exotic tropical style bowel. Staff are quirky but extremely pleasant. Coffee is beautiful, silky and full of flavour. Flavoursome enough for a long black blend - as my friends informed me :) I had a latte and it was stronger, more like a long Mac but I don't mind a strong coffee! Decor is beautiful and I love the plants scattered everywhere. 10 out of 10 will return! Give this tropical oasis a try, nestled in amidst the North Perth suburbs. You won't be disappointed I promise!!
The perfect winter antidote. Great vegetarian options. Juices are a forte. Pick a sunny day for great vibes. Great to see this small doubleview startup expanding in a great new location.
Visited chinta several times. Love the new cafe in north Perth (garage turned Balinese cafe!) great breakfast and lunch options. Had the bruschetta and green juice. Delicious. Very relaxing atmosphere
Saw photos of Chinta popping up on my Instagram feed so I got curious. Decided to pay a visit today. Probably not the best time since there are only so many cafes opening today and yes it was jam-packed. We had to wait for approx 20mins. The manager was super nice, very attentive.
Serving of full brekkie is huge! Coffee is alright, nothing special.
Parking seems to be a major problem here...if you parked on the lawn in front of Chinta you are very likely to get fined. So we parked a fair way away and had to walk for a bit. Hope the council could help Chinta to figure out a way for the customers.
A creepy, unusual homewares store together with a peaceful, laidback cafe, Chinta gives you the love in Balinese. The rattan chairs, wooden tables in greenery garden and summer atmosphere all amplify the tranquil and cosiness in Chinta. Hearty welcomes and smiley faces from waiter and waitress marked my appreciation to this unique cafe. The yummy menu offers a variety of options which provided the hardest task for the indecisive foodie. This place was packed during lunch hour but their dishes simply gave you the answer for that. A brilliant cafe is always worth waiting for!
Decided to try Chinta in North Perth as I used to love the food when it was in double view , and I had heard that they now serve the Freo famous Honey cake ( which is Delicious!!) Love the new location and the fit out 😊. The menu is more Westernised and for me that was a bit disappointing !
Landed up having a coffee as we arrived way after lunch time . My coffee was really good as was the service . My friend had a coffee and muffin which she said was delicious
I will return for breakfast or lunch and update this post 😊
Six of us and 3 babies went there on a Sunday morning without a booking. Needless to say it was packed. The lady who greeted us told us there would be a ten minute wait which is very reasonable. We ended up getting our own area upstairs on lovely soft couches which went down a treat. The food was very good, I got chorizo eggs which definitely hit the spot. Coffee was good too and service was fast considering how busy it was. Definitely be going back again.

This place gets super busy! We went for lunch on a normal weekday and had to wait around 15 minutes to get a table. I had the vegan bruschetta, which was a huuuuge serving - definitely your money's worth - and a soy cappuccino. The bread, which I suspect was infused with beetroot, was slightly soggy from the juices of the bruschetta was the only downfall of the dish. Everything else was great, my friend had the chorizo eggs which she seemed to thoroughly enjoy. Chinta also does super cute iced drinks adorned with mint leaves, the only negative about my friend's iced chai was the paper straw which got soggier and soggier.
This is a great space which I'm sure will pump in summer. Popped in for a savoury muffin and coffee which were both decent. Service was great.
Always love coming to Chinta. Food is tasty, coffee is amazing and staff are always friendly. Chinta does get pretty busy but with their new location there is always seating available and food comes out quick!
We bought the mother's day picnic brunch pack to take to the park, and it was absolutely delicious! Super tasty and gourmet finger foods that were quite substantial. Would definitely do again
What an amazing high tea experience. Beautiful Indonesian style restaurant, amazing food, lovely service, feels like you're not even in Perth. Decent prices and just a great place. A MUST GO!!
Such a nice atmosphere here with holiday feels. Food was lovely and the staff was extra lovely with bright smiles! We ordered food to share and the lovely waitress noticed and approached us before we could. Excellent service! Thank you! 😇😇
Beautiful venue, gorgeous food and drinks presentation. Three of us went there for lunch, and glad that we booked our table a day before because it was packed. We sat upstairs and it was as good as the ground floor. The temperature was perfect. The service was very lovely, from the host and the waitresses. I think it was better than the first time I came here.
Even it took us a while to get our drinks and food, it's understandable because it's very busy. We ordered nasi campur, sambal+omelette and gado-gado for share. The taste wasn't like Indonesian authentic food because it's Oz version, but we loved it. Our whole experience went great and would be happy to come back.
Come back after more than two n half year because of Covid.
Food is under Indonesia style, even benedict eggs sandwich. The most I like was Nasi Goreng (fried rice) w chicken. The worst was Mi hoon Babi where the noodle was over cooked
Good decoration, good service. High price but till full of guests.
Supprising to see a Vietnamese dish in the menu.
a lunch for share between 4 persons were about A$120.
Note: This is compulsory in WA to wear mask and show vaccination certificate to enter a restaurant.
I had the honey roasted pumpkin salad and it was delicious! I would have liked a more generous serve of pumpkin, but the pesto and feta were absolutely on point! Definitely book if you want a proper table and leave time to find parking. It's very busy. I definitely want to go back to try all the other yummy things on the menu, not to mention the amazing drinks! Beautiful decor too.
