I booked and function for 40 people and I was really impressed with everything. Brooke who organised the functions was great with suggestions for platters and my endless questions. On the night the staff were excellent. Jadan the bar manager was helpful and friendly and the other staff were just as friendly and efficient. The food came out at exactly the right time with good intervals between each platter. Couldn’t fault it. Thank you very much for making it such a great night.
The Old Laundry Bar is a great bar with such good atmosphere and amazing food. We just had my daughter’s 21st here and the venue was perfect for the night! The service is impeccable with the bar staff being so friendly and nice! Would highly recommend for anyone to host a special occasion or to go for a bite to eat or drink!
Incredible venue, superb food, but most importantly the superstar staff will make your function so special. Have nothing but the highest praise for the whole team who made my milestone birthday so special and cannot recommend highly enough.
Attended the Friends quiz night and had a ball! Service, cocktails and food; all great! Can def recommend this quirky little small bar.
Just like to say thank you to all the staff at the old laundry! We had our engagement party there on Saturday night and they were so accomodating and everyone had a great night! The food was awesome as well! Would highly recommend you guys
I had my birthday drinks at the Old Laundry on the weekend. The venue is beautiful, cocktails are amazing (highly recommend the lonely leaf!) the staff were so lovely. They absolutely made my night. Definitely will be back 👌🏼
Had a small function here for a hens party recently. The staff were lovely and helpful, the guy making our cocktails was knowledgeable and very entertaining and made sure the Bride was looked after, the nibbles we ordered were pretty good. Thanks for a great night guys.
We had our wedding celebration here in the courtyard (we got married overseas). The food was delicious, the service was amazing, the musician was brilliant & courtyard was perfect for about 30 guests. Will definitely be recommending and returning to this place!!!!
I live in North Perth and The Old Laundry is my favourite local venue. I got married there. Both the food and drinks are amazing, and the staff are really friendly. You can also get a Bloody Mary with your breakfast.
First meal out after the restrictions have been lifted so I was expecting a lot. I was very impressed; friendly service, warm and on trend atmosphere and most importantly delicious food at a great price! Will definitely be back 👌
Fine eating at pub prices. Good service too. Great place for breakfast lunch or dinner. Enjoy the food or just as drink. They even have a quiz nite here once a month. Just like their Facebook page to keep up to date.
The chicken dippers are amazingly good, along with the fries and everything else! Service, a clear 10/10. The smores semifreddo is simply the best dessert ever!
The Old Laundry, found on North Perth’s cool Angove Street strip, is a fab small bar to hang out. It was, in fact, a laundry back in the day. There’s even a rusty old boiler still in the courtyard! With Mother’s Day coming up, I’ve been suggesting some fantastic places to shop and dine with your Mum in North Perth and on the bustling Angove Street. The Old laundry is the kind of place you might like to take your mum if she’s young at heart – if she loves a glass of bubbles or a cocktail with some delicious share food.
I’ve been to this place for drinks, brekkie and snacks now. I absolutely love the little outdoor area at the back- so tranquil! The atmosphere is great and chilled out. Food was pretty tasty, and the menu had a nice variety of food and drinks.
Went for dinner on a Tuesday night two weeks ago. Shared the charcuterie board, was amazing.
Drank the rosé, yum. For mains my friend had the steak, he loved it. I had the pork belly and we shared the beetroot salad. Could not fault the food and the service was excellent. This was our first time here and we will be back! And will bring others!
I attended a function here and it was excellent. The staff were all fantastic, the drinks were flowing and the food was delicious. It has a nice atmosphere and there is indoor and outdoor seating. the beer garden is lovely.
Creative dishes, variety in a very cosy location! ...........................................................................................
Beautiful venue with really lovely staff. Food was excellent! Ordered the steak and gnocchi. Both were beautiful.
I had the WA rose - very well thought out wine list
Atmosphere was perfect for a cool winter afternoon. Would love to come back in summer for their outdoor area.
Will definitely be back!
Cute decor & friendly, helpful staff. I just met a few friends for a drink so only sampled the wine (reasonably priced.. try the Juniper white for $9/glass.. it's very good) & some chips (slightly greasy, home-made tomato sauce was lovely).
There was a private party in the garden area - it will be nice to sit out there next time
Really enjoy this little place - came here for breakfast one morning, coffee was the perfect temperature and taste. My dad and I both ordered eggs, me with a side of Avo, Dad with bacon. Very decent serving sizes, perfectly poached eggs. Lovely guy serving us - this is just a standard, genuine cafe! Definitely going to be back to try the other different options on their breakfast menu.

Easter Sunday was an Angove Street brekkie with all cafés open; surprisingly! I headed for the Old Laundry and it was still quiet although it was fairly early for a Sunday. They offered table service, and the guy behind the bar came quickly with menu and water, and asked for my coffee ordered while I studied the menu. I was having a savoury versus sweet war in my head, but given I had sweet the day before, I went savoury; but the Sicilian apple doughnuts, burnt honey sauce and vanilla bean ice-cream looked like a crowd pleaser, and I will come back to try it next time. I ordered the potato rosti, spinach, poached eggs, gin cured trout, and hollandaise. My long Mac topped up was really good coffee. The rosti arrived and was slightly crispy with a nice soft filling. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the trout were good, but a little more would have been nice. Staff were attentive and friendly. And I will have to come back for the donuts soon and spend some time on Angove Street exploring the shops!
Was a little concerned about the lack of punters on a Saturday morning, but this place is en pointe. Coffee was good and the food was excellent, great serves and quality produce well turned out. I had their version of the big breakfast and the Italian Sausage was full sized and the bacon and eggs cooked as requested. Its a beautiful fitout and the staff are lovely. Highly recommended.
Went there with a couple of friends for dinner . We ordered the sardines as starters and the crusty bread. The starters were meant for sharing according to the waitress but the portions were very small. Definitely not for sharing. We also ordered the sirloin and grilled fish which were amazing in taste. The pecan and pear slice had a very hard crust and was over cooked. Our waitress was friendly and helpful, the meals took long but we didn't mind coz we were socialising with friends. Had a fresh mocktail which tasted very good. Overall a good place with tasty food in small portions
Best Avo smash I've had in a while. Great crispy toast, excellent coffees, and the crispy bacon was awesome. Reasonable prices, good service and cool fit out.
Tried out their new summer dinner menu for my 5 year anniversary and it was delightful. The quality of the food is outstanding and the service is very friendly. Such a family vibe with class! I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried things I usually wouldn't eat and they were delicious! I'll be back :)

We popped in for breakfast on a weekday at 9am and it was dead. I was a bit worried considering the cafes nearby were really busy and wondered why this place was so empty?! The menu appeared to be a seasonal one as it has changed to the one on zomato. I had a soy long Mac which came out so quickly (probably cos there was only one other table there). I was impressed by the coffee.. perfect temperature and delish. There were a few food dishes that sounded really yum. My friend and I both could not go past the poached eggs, potato rosti, gin cured trout with spinach and hollandaise sauce. We were both super impressed with the dish and it was super filling but it was so good that we both could not stop eating it! The flavours were perfectly balanced, trout was so fresh and the potato rosti was packed full of herbs and not just your standard rosti. I would come back to have the same dish again.. that's how impressed I was. My only criticism is that they didn't have a change table for my bub but it's probably cos they are more of a bar type place. Would definitely come back!
We went for tapas and had the pork gnocci, lamb cutlet and the prawn and black pudding skewer which were all delicious. I would say it is overpriced but good to treat yourself! Another point is it is very very loud, there is no soft decor to absorb the noise so on a weeknight its quieter.
I read so many reviews raving about this place. I probably came at the very late hours of lunch but I was so hungry I wanted steak. Perhaps I should have stuck with what everyone was raving on about the breakfast but didn't order it. I am only glad that I got service and the kitchen wasn't closed like so many other places. If I were to only review this place based on food, well then I'd say I've had a better steak cooked for me at the local pubs with a value for money price attached. The steak wasn't dry but it was bland even with the red pepper jus. But I did enjoy the ambience and the fast greet by the waiter who gave us the choice to sit anywhere we'd like. Service was great! I'll come back to try the breakfast menu next time and see if it's a winner like so many others have said it to be.
Very nice conversation, loving the bar space and the small outside area.Waiters were very friendly and accomodating 👌.Saw some new items on the breakfast menu that I haven't seen before and keen to try them again. The pork belly banh mi with pho soup was really delicious and flavoursome.Salmon was amazingly fresh and just perfect although I found the bread was served with no butter or topping and was a little dry.Extra sides are $5 a bit steap for what you get.All up a nice place and keen to try more.
I had already dined at The Old Laundry a couple of times since they opened and had really enjoyed my visits, breakfast may not have been perfect (I’m a bit fussy when it comes to going out for breakfast) but a date night dinner was a winner. I love the venue itself, the outdoor courtyard area and the general vibe of the place and in my opinion perfect for date night. So when I heard they were having a menu launch for $50 to try 5 new dishes I was eager to check it out.
Couldn't ask for more. Staff and chef went above and beyond to make our dining experience enjoyable. I can't fault a single aspect of the food or service. Impeccable. Seasonal. Delicious.
Came here last night for a new menu release. Some of the plates were a winner - like the soft shell crab and the snapper. However the gnocchi dish wasn't nice - very mustardy. We tried to taste the Malbec and were given a several day old sample of it. I instantly brought it up with the waitress and she said she doesn't normally work here and she doesn't know if the bottle was open and old or not. My friend is vegetarian and we told them several times but she didn't get any vegetarian options til the 3rd course. The blood orange margarita is a real hit. This place is also quite pricey with their drinks.
We arrived around 11.15am and got in for breakfast by the skin of our teeth! We were told to make sure we ordered before 11.25am as this was the time for last orders. Most tables were taken, both indoors and outdoors, but, there were a few spots available at a long breakfast bar along the front window. We were happy to sit there, we could check out what was happening on the street as well as catch up on ‘the gossip’.
Another busy breakfast place! Coffee is great here, and so is the food. They Have indoors seatings and outside courtyard seatings. We sat in the courtyard. They put heaters up for us. Great service I must say.
Dinner on a Thursday night. They had a function on so glad we booked, there was very few tables for dinner.
We had the fries, squid and artichoke & feta on brioche. Neither of us were super hungry so the three plates were enough. Each dish was very tasty and nice to pick at.
We didn't get wine as most of them were $11+ per glass (I'm usually happy with a glass of house white or red for around $7-8).
Staff were friendly and attentive.
Been here a few times for drinks and nibbles generally on a Sunday. It's a nice casual vibe. We love sitting out the courtyard in the back or people watching on Angove St. It's a nice date night venue. The cocktails are good and their hand cut chips are the best!
They also serve brunch from 7am. I tried the scrambled eggs on ciabatta and added a side of beetroot cured salmon. Simple but so well executed! The salmon was a little on the small side for $5 but it was so good that I'm gonna ask for $10 worth next time!
I like the look of this place, nice and not over the top.
An old building, with wooden floors and high ceiling.
Thought it was funny when you ring and make a booking and they tell you the place is packed. When you get there, their definition of the word packed is not the same as yours.
The wine list is impressive!!
The menu is impressive too!!
Had hand cut fries, grilled artichoke, green bean salad, Japanese chicken, Brazilian seafood curry, gnocchi and Szechuan squid.
Food was colorful and full of flavor.
Had a great time
Perth's highest quality food and service. A must-try! Perfect ambience, attentive staff and wonderful food. Will definitely be back to try more and more of the menu!

The food was yummy and I loved the ambience of the place. My only two complaints are it was really hot and there was no aircon and the service was really slow - it was hard to get a waitstaff and they weren't overly busy. Would've given them 4/5 for food but overall I give hem 3.5/5.
We decided to head down to The Old Laundry for lunch today for the first time.
We loved the ambiance and decor, the food was lovely and the coffee was really good! Would definitely come back maybe for a Sunday ses with friends.
I've always liked this place ever since it opened. The coffee, the breakfast and the tapas style dinner.
Although the menu is small, the options you have to choose from are very adventurous. The servings size not so much but sharing 4 dishes will fill you up like you wouldn't believe.
I'm a big fan of the coffee here but only when certain baristas are working. Some of the coffee is a bit milky or watery like in texture but the other times it's just right. The coffee there taste exactly like there neighbour Milkd North Perth.
I'm mostly impressed by the actual interior, it is so nice to appreciate but a disappointment is the seating area along the side of the cafe/restaurant, the seat is too low for the table and the table is not big enough.
Other than that, the service is great, a lot of friendly staff and the food comes out very efficiently and the food is such a different variety of flavours and combinations to enjoy!
Checked out the Old Laundry Bar & Eatery for a post-team building dinner with 6 of my colleagues. Being a Monday night it was very quiet in the restaurant so a massive advantage to us since we only booked the table at 3pm for a 6:30pm sitting. We ordered a huge selection of dishes for both entrees and mains and while all were delicious, some stood out more than others. The Korean Fried Chicken and the meatballs served with creamy polenta (a special not on the menu)was a standout dish in terms of both flavour and serving size. The chickpea salad with dates, oranges, hummus and yoghurt was also a super yummy dish. We loved the Beetroot Spaetzle but the serving was tiny which was disappointing. The snapper while tasty was also very small, perhaps 2 fillets cut into quarters and served with a salsa - so at $28 it wasn't great value for money. Service was great and all-in-all we had a fun night out.
Madam Rabbit, the Artist Formerly Known as Pregbot, Mr Macaron and the Prince of Margs hit up the Old Laundry for a sunny late lunch. Would recommend.
Been here twice in two days for great food and exceptional service. Love it. Great value with yummy innovative food and interesting drinks list. Also good coffee. What's not to love ?
Great ambiance
Comfortable
Interesting menu
Service was friendly and we didn't have to wait long to be served
Table service
Coffee was good
Food tasted good
Modern decor, good venue for a catch up with some friends. The staff were friendly and helpful, very impressed. Good menu choice and Good food which is well presented, and great coffee, Highly recommended.
A local favourite of ours for breakfast. Always Friendly staff, great food which comes out promptly and coffee is nice and smooth. Yet to try dinner here..
Ventured there last night for a birthday dinner and couldn't have been more impressed. We ordered basically one of everything off the menu to share, which at first I thought was a little over the top for 6 people, as it turned out it was the perfect amount! If you head there with 5 friends I highly recommend this option. In honor of the birthday boy I think this option should be called 'The Horbags!' Too many dishes to review each one, but the Gin Cured Ocean Trout was a highlight. A special thanks to Dean and Bronte for making us feel so welcome and attending to our every need! Whoever said Perth has shit customer service has never been here! Great job guys! Clint from Vic Park.
I took my Son to lunch for his birthday at The Old Laundry, and it was delightful. Great food, great service, delightful decor - the company was perfect.
This is a place we would both want to return to.

The cafe strip along Angove Street has often been boasted of but I have never been anywhere close. I decided to give one a try and so visited The Old Laundry one Saturday morning. Overall verdict? The food wasn’t entirely to my palette. For those who have read my other posts you would know I like to have salmon / bacon / mushrooms / poached eggs / French toast and the like for breakfast. The options at The Old Laundry were certainly a change, but not entirely for the worse. The dishes were bright, colourful and pleasing to the eye.
HUGE serving of bacon and eggs!!! Literally a mountain.. So so so so gooooooood!! The scrambled eggs are so creamy and fluffy too. Keep it up fellas, I can't wait to come back again!!
Saturday November 28 late lunch/early dinner
Love the kitchen being pretty my running all day and night
Love the pinchos to small plates to larger dish availability
Love the super friendly and pet friendly staff
Love the range of seating options - normal tables, small coffee tables, high tops, outside, outside, bench seats!
Love the wonderful cocktail concoctions
Love the attentive service
Love the tasty small dishes
Love the seasonal changes in the menu
I've been a few times now and service is great. Menu changing routinely make revisits more fun!
Love the food and service here. Should rethink the tiny slices of smoked trout for $16, but, other than that, delicious. Great atmosphere, music pleasant volume. Fantastic to find a venue where conversation isnt made impossible by loud music.

I love the fitout/decor and atmosphere of this place, especially the little leafy garden surrounded by glass. First time I tried a cocktail here and enjoyed it, but the second time I decided to ask the waitress to get the bartender to recommend a cocktail that still tastes sweet but is relatively lower in calories. I ended up receiving a cosmo, but I didn't really like the taste of it. Oh well, I'll stick to their cocktail list next time! The food is good for sharing and is delicious. I'll have to come back to try their breakfast menu.
This is a nice place, I think its probably more suited for night time, although I've only ever been during the day. We've been a few times for breakfast and have to say the service is good, but the food always comes out a bit slow, i.e. more than 30-40 minutes?
I got the peanut butter and jelly pop tart and I have to say I was a little disappointed. It more like eating 2 pieces of thick shortcrust pastry with a really thin layer of jam inside (which I couldn't taste :/) and I got about a 5c size worth of peanut butter on the top. With that said, although I didn't get the peanut butter jelly effect I wanted, the dish itself was quite nice.
Delicious coffee and food but very slow service. . . . .
Came here for breakfast. Service is a bit hit and miss at times - meals came out at different times and coffee was forgotten. The chorizo and sweet potato hash was definitely the stand out dish which was delicious. The pop tart was a tiny serve and for $17 you would expect to be full afterwards but it was almost like a side dish. Will return to try other dishes but won't be getting the tiny pop tart!
I went for the green eggs and ham ($21). I had imagined shreds of pork hock served on green pea and polenta fried cakes. As it turned out, the pork was IN the fried cakes and the dish was therefore not as substantial as I had imagined. Nevertheless, it was tasty, the fried cakes having a lovely crunch and a slight zingy taste that was nicely complemented by the freshness of the rocket salad and the creamy aioli on the plate.
What a start to the day!! Upon arriving at the Old Laundry on a beautiful spring day we were greeted by a lovely server who was polite, welcoming, and asked the most important question of the day.... Would you like some coffee??
I ordered a long Mac which came in a glass, which had a nice robust flavour.
The breakfast was a Sweet potato, pea and polenta cake..
With poached eggs, radico, rocket and a basil pesto with curd....
The presentation was exceptional along with the flavours which worked really well together.
Highly recommend this new addition to the North Perth area.

There’s been a real buzz about the new breakfast chef and menu at The Old Laundry in North Perth and we made it our mission to visit as soon as we arrived back in Perth! It’s a wonderfully charming venue by day and we’re sure just as lovely by night. It’s an open and relaxed restaurant with quirky decor and wallpaper to catch the eye wherever you look. We visited with a group of six for breakfast mid week and had no problems getting a table. The staff were warm and friendly and efficient getting our orders taken and answering our questions. We were a varied group in age and preferences but it was obvious looking around the table that everyone felt at home at The Old Laundry. This isn’t something that always happens, it can be hard to find a venue for our diverse tastes. We started with coffees, going with our usual lattes. They were creamy with a full flavour and an interesting mouthfeel. We were pleasantly surprised by the richness of their brew. Let’s start with the dish we were most excited about – the peanut butter and jelly pop tart. It looked an absolute treat on the plate, an explosion of colour and elements to delight the eye. The pop tart was more of a short pastry biscuit than the pre-made toaster treat you may be thinking of. The pastry tended to dominate over the jelly, it needed thinner pastry or more jam to be able to appreciate both flavours. The salty, peanut butter flavour was a stand out. The fresh fruits and garnishes were a wonderful contrast and the chocolate mousse took me back to overflowing milos consumed as a child. With a few tweaks this dish could be a real knockout! It’s so refreshing to see something so different on a menu and no surprise it’s popped up so often in social media lately. We also tried the chorizo and potato hash as our savoury breakfast. Unlike the pop tart this dish was lacking in complex flavours. We enjoyed the sweetness of the caramelised onion, the hash and chorizo were good but we craved more variety of spice. It just needed something to elevate it from your run of the mill breakfast dish. A little capsicum or tomato in with the hash would be a simple fix!
We stopped in for a quick snack after an art show. I can't comment on the menu very much but the chips were good and churros delicious. We would stop by again if out and about. We had loads of room between tables and there is def a date night feel inside.
Best Coffee, I have ever had and I am a very fussy coffee drinker, not about the quality just about how it is made, and these guys got it right for me. Breakfast was also enjoyable. great location for chatting and watching the world pass by.
Visited twice in the last 10 days, firstly one afternoon for coffee and beautiful warm fig topped muffins that a girlfriend and I ate in the sunny rear garden.
Next for a Friday lunch with three other ladies. We were treated to a lovely table indoors next to the rear window - great sharing of four dishes... croquettes, pancakes, paella balls and the fried haloumi. Nice drinks selection and service. Oscar and the team work hard to create a high quality, friendly and serene environment. Some feedback - One thing my girls and I would like is a broader selection of desserts and little chocolate type nibbles at the end of the meal! Thank you for a super North Perth venue.
Great place for a nice drink. Dropped in for a night cap and churros. Excellent idea. Think this may become my new local. Staff defeintely make you feel welcome.
I personally love this place! Any menu with smashed pumpkin or avo and natural lighting just automatically wins. The interior is aesthetic and sets itself apart from other cafes in Perth.
Ahh breakfast, if you haven't noticed it really has become one of my more frequent meals out. It's always such a lovely way to kick off a weekend, a great way to catch up with loved ones or friends or just start your day feeling relaxed and happy. The Old Laundry kept coming up in conversation and I was tired of being the only one who hadn't checked it out, so naturally we had to get there right away, and I'm glad we did! Breakfast spot by day, bar by night, the space is huge with outdoor tables and a large indoor bar.
It can often be hard to get a table here and after my first visit, I realised why!
There is something on the menu for everyone and pricing is fairly reasonable.
The staff are welcoming and friendly which adds to the inviting atmosphere.
If you haven't been yet, put it on your list!
Cute restaurant/bar. We had three tapas between two and we were surprised that the portions were quite generous. First we had the halumi cheese on bread which was tasty, followed by poached red wine pear salad, this was quite generous size and was absolutely delicious. Next we had the lamb empanadas, which missed the mark, pastry was quite thick and the lamb lacked flavour, more like a pastie, the relish on top was however lovely. We finished off with churros with granache to die for. Over all definitely
worth a try!
Dropped by for lunch to check out their tapas menu. Dishes were spot on and serving sizes are quite generous for Perth tapas standards.
Two favourite dishes were: 1) mushroom and truffle croquettes 2) grilled haloumi and caper berries.
Will come back to try their brekky menu which I've heard good things about.
The service was great, everyone is friendly and very accommodating. Our favourite dish was the mushroom potato croquette! And the next dish would be the hand cut chips. The poached chicken wasn't our favourite, it was a bit bland in taste.
Double thumbs up for the green eggs and ham! This pig farmers daughter approves. Delicious and not a gigantic serving. Perfect way to kick off a rainy Sunday. The long macchiato was also darn good. Only downside was the 45 minute wait to get a table. Super quick once a table became available though.
Went for breakfast. Seems to get pretty busy on weekends.
Staff were friendly but a bit aloof/inattentive. We waited 10 mins to order coffee, had to ask for water and then flag down someone to order food. Perhaps there was more going on then we could see but staff didn't look rushed.
Coffee was nice. Food was nice. Not spectacular but nice and filling. Would go back again.
Went for a spontaneous dinner last night after hearing good things about this place ... we were not disappointed. Our host (lovely English lad in penguin sweater) recommended wine for my notoriously picky friend and left her well satisfied. The food was fresh, beautifully presented and delicious - we had the mushroom croquettes, pear salad and dates with blue cheese. I ordered a Negroni which was strong (just the way I like it) with enough ice to stir it in throughout the meal .. perfect! The decor is spacious and tasteful and if it hadn't been witches tit cold outside the courtyard would have been our choice for dining. All round great experience - looking forward to coming back soon - especially in the summer. Cheers guys #hospo4hospo x
