Review Dolcetto Patisserie - North Perth

Ordered takeaway coffees & a lemon meringue tart last weekend. Service was quick & owner was friendly. Wouldn’t say the same about the staffs working there, seem to rush customers so they can close up for the day & mind you it was around 2:30 when we pick up our takeaway.

We had an amazing birthday party! . with a delicious chocolate cake! Super tasty! 👌 Excellent service and they write the message you want on the cake !

Dolcetto made an amazing croquembouche tower for my son's birthday with little notice. It was delicious and the service was friendly and professional. Thank you!

Have ordered their tiramisu cake a few times for birthday celebration. Loved it every single time. Mind you they do ask for a deposit when ordering their cake.

Loved my iced coffee with ice cream. Maybe I should have been naughty & not have skipped the whipped cream. Their desserts are really good too & not overly sweet. The hot chocolate was surprisingly not too sweet compared to most places according to mum

Croquembouche is delightful and a big 60pc tower stands out to make an event even more special. The quality here is A1 - love it. My wedding guests have since request the details for this team.

I had to get two birthday cakes for my dads 80th at short notice, I went and asked these guys if they could have two cakes made for the next morning for a 10am pickup, Not a problem I was advised Not only did they look beautifully decorated,, they tasted amazing Thank you so much I will most definitely be back Chocolate Torte Sponge Torte Nicole Ridley

4.5
Absolutely awesome place.
It is refreshing to get such a genuine and warm greeting as soon as you walk through the door.
Coffee orders taken before we were seated which was fantastic.
Breakfast menu didn't do justice to the magnificent dishes we were presented with. Superb yet simple dishes with no skimping on quality or quantity.
The cakes and slices brilliantly decadent.
Easy to over indulge without too much guilt.
Can't wait to get back.

I was really looking forward o coming to this place.
The staff is friendly and tentative but there was no almond biscuits or anything cholatey when I came. Guess it was just not my luck on the day.
Coffee was really sour and acidic but I guess that is normal for a single origin coffee.
Had one custard cookie and it was too sweet for my liking.
Might just need to come back again to try other stuff in this place

Went here because entertainment book had a voucher for a free coffee and a cake. Also ended up buying some tiny biscuits that were exceptional. Coffee was a bit too milky but they specialise in cakes and it shows. During my small stay there waiting for my order, I saw at least 3 custom designed baby elephant sized cakes being picked up. Go taste their marzipan-flavoured biscuits!

I am a regular visitor at Dolcetto Patisserie & Cafe and have been for years and cannot rate it highly enough. It's a funky cafe in the heart of North Perth. From friendly customer service to always FRESH tasty sandwiches/baguettes and with a cake display... to die for, it's hard choosing one! It truely is worth the trip (and the calories).

WHY HAS THE HEALTH INSPECTOR NOT CLOSED THIS PLACE DOWN??? Dirty place, saw tradespeople cutting tiles in the middle of the kitchen with all the powder going into the cakes (which they still served to customers). They use out of date food, and sell sandwiches that have been sitting there for days. Rude staff and you can hear the owner constantly screaming and swearing. Will never come back.

a nice cafe though i could hear the staff bickering about something which is not a good look. take it outside already ! I had breakfast. the granola was nice but had way too much yoghurt (save money and cut the amount of yoghurt in half). overall satisfied and prices are not over the top.

The Italian Continental Torta is amazing, if you want a traditional cake that is fresh Dolcetto is a must!! Nothing and no other place compares!!

Thank you for the amazing First Holy Communion cake for my son. The light, fresh and precise taste was wonderful and all my family and friends loved it. You make a special occasion wonderful. 2 thumbs up x

Ordered pastries from Dolcetto for a function at work. I must say they were impressive - looked amazing and tasted even better. They did a standard price for all the goods, which was great for a non-profit organisation. Have recommended and work go back!

There is a superb selection of pastries at reasonable prices. The food on the menu was a bit more expensive than what we were after, so we took a look at the cabinet, where there were several variations of rolls, wraps, and savoury pastry dishes ($8.50-$9). Those dishes come with rocket and balsamic vinegar, and you can add salad to them for $13. The spinach and ricotta tart was nice, and the chicken caesar wrap was alright, with not too much mayo.
The chocolate bavarian was very filling, with a cake base, and an orange flavour to it. The black and white eclair just had custard, no cream, and the white icing was pretty nice.
The Dutch hot chocolate is $1 more than the normal hot chocolate, and you have to be careful when stirring it if you haven't had a big enough sip out of it or you'll make a bit of a mess. It comes out nice and hot so the marshmallows melt perfectly.
When we arrived to have a look, the staff seemed like they were being a bit rude to each other, and also like they were almost annoyed to have customers. When we ordered, there was a very noticeable change in their demeanour, and the ladies that brought our food/drinks out and cleared our table were very pleasant.

Went in on a Sat arvo to grab a coffee and a cannoli. Dolcetto is very popular amongst the locals, they were busy till pretty much the last minute of closing on that day. Friendly staff and prompt service.

Beautiful cakes and a great selection. Everyone at the party was asking where we bought the birthday cake from and there was not a crumb left by the end of the night
Ringo
Excellent cannolis! I found that the coffee eclair was way too sweet for my liking.....in particular the icing at the top.

Decent serving sizes for the price and definitely well appreciated by locals.

Dolcetto - A Family Favourite!. My family have had many special cakes from Dolcetto and they have all been amazing. The choc raspberry mudcake is a favourite. The huge range of petit fours are delicious and very reasonably priced. We also love the friendly and helpful staff too!

No pretence - just good food with old fashion service. Love it.
Me
Bland. Very basic food. Did not enjoy the Italian style dressing on my eggs and undercooked corn fritter. Too much oil on a dish that didn't really call for it. Not a very relaxing atmosphere with beeping applicances and terrible loud 90's pop music couple with the staff cackling in the background.

Richard. Best bacon egg roll I've ever had

Delicious Dessert. For the second time this year we ordered the scrumptious chocolate and raspberry mud cake - this time for our daughter's 21st birthday. The cake was just divine: moist and decadent, rich but not sickly. All our guests raved about it! Would thoroughly recommend Dolcetto for excellent service, a beautiful cake at a reasonable price!!! Thanks very much :)

Favolosi dolci di Giuseppe. To Giuseppe & Staff My heartiest congratulations. You are the best in Australia. Bravissimo! Fantastico! Can't wait for Noah's Christening cake Blue and White spots. choc mud with peanut ganache. yum! I am proud of you. Penelope

Great great italian patisserie. Got the traditional continental torte for my elderly italian fathers bday...it was delicious & reminded me of how traditional cakes used to taste when they were made by hand & it an authentic recipe. So delicious & creamy yet not sickly sweet or too rich that you feel sick. I loved it- our new family bakery for any celebration. Yum cant wait for the next one!!
The Family
Perfection.. We have frequented here for a while now.
The staff are just lovely. The cafe is kid friendly & has colouring books & pencils in the bookshelf.
My 30th Birthday cake was from here; the Semi Freddo Cheesecake. It was outstanding, the most interesting and delicious cheesecake the entire party had ever had.
Breakfasts are always delightful. The Eggs Benedict is superb (& ordered every visit) Big Breakfast is also a bit hit. The bread that they serve is divine. Coffee is always spot on.
Lunch here was even better than expected. Our table had: Salt & Pepper Squid, cooked perfectly and tasty. Curry, great taste. Burger, yum. Pasta, wow.

They have sweet naughty patisserie delights on every surface and you can't help but want them. There is a display at the back with every delight you could want for. Biscuits, danishes, vanilla slice, cakes! Oh one could get rather large, rather easily with such a lush selection!

The only negative is not open on Sundays!

Amazing soup. Only $12.50 with garlic bread. Delicious!

Best cakes, have tried a few of their cakes at birthdays and school functions. Well done guys , is all I can say, loved everyone of them.

DELICIOUS!!. I ordered the chocolate and raspberry mud cake for a 21st and it was absolutely delicious!! Moist, rich and sooo chocolatey. The service was exceptional as well, the staff were incredibly helpful in helping me decide on a cake and the decoration for it. We also ordered some of the small biscuits as they were gluten free, and they went down a treat as well. I definitely recommend these guys.

Service and Sensational Sweets!!. With only hours til I was required to furnish a 50th birthday cake for 30 people, I walked into Dolcetto, the 4th cake shop I had looked through in the area that afternoon. Had I not settled on the amazing Berry Semi-fredo Cheescake decorated with shards of delicious toffee, heart shaped bling and personalised message, Joe had offered to knock up whatever I wanted. This was at 3pm - shop closing at 5. The cake was stunning - everyone raved and I had one of those, "must write about" service experiences. Thanks Joe and Angela for going the extra mile. I, and the 30 people who enjoyed your creation will be back!

Excellent chocolate torta, pastries and impeccable service!

I'm not a huge cake consumer (thank goodness, lacking a lot of self discipline, I'd be the size if a house) but I've eaten some delicious macaroons here, and fantastic eclairs. For me and the kids though, the lunches are the draw card. My youngest loves the schnitzel roll, my eldest the home made pizza and I the delicious grilled chicken salad. And if you happen to be there and a home made pie is available, grab it, you won't be sorry- and I do not typically enjoy meat pies. The coffee is also yum. As is the family friendly atmosphere.

We love Dolcetto!. We have been buying Joe's delicious Italian treats for many years and are always blown away by his amazing creations - check them out on Facebook!!
A lovely friendly family run business which has a really happy buzz - there is always a warm welcome waiting (thanks Angela)! Great for a catchup with friends - wonderful service and mouthwatering treats plus great coffee. An absolute gem.

Cakes & biscuits. Fantastic for morning and afternoon tea. Large variety of cakes and biscuits and canoli. Lunch was a bit disappointing though. Wanted a good toasted tomato & cheese sandwich... that's simple isn't it? but got toasted bread with cold cheese and tomato inside, ikkk.
Kimberley
AMAZING!!. WOW I bought the strawberry cheesecake/semi-freddo (?spelling)/ice cream cake thing for my husband's 30th, and it was amazing!!! If you take it out of the freezer the night before it is more like a semi-freddo, but we left it in the freezer til the morning of his lunch and it did not defrost and was more like an ice cream cake. It was pretty good then, but it was even better if left out.

We also had the lemon brulee for the walk home and that was pretty good.
Planning to head down for a coffee and roll and salad there one day.
Highly recommend!!!

Sitting on the site formerly occupied by Fiorentina’s at 400 Fitzgerald Street, opposite the North Perth Plaza carpark, is Dolcetto Patisserie & Cafe, owned and operated by the former owners of … Fiorentina! After taking a break to focus on family, Angela and Joe decided to come back to the industry they know and love to once again spoil their clients with their fantastic range of cakes and sweet treats, plus Fiori coffee and a host of breakfast and lunch offerings that can be enjoyed in the cafe or taken away. On the day hubby and I popped in for lunch we had a choice of the daily blackboard specials, menu or items on display. After much deliberation we went with the Soup of the Day (with gluten free bread for me) and a generous serve of quiche and salad – both were filling and full of flavour. If your tastes run towards the sweeter things in life (or if you have room post lunch) there’s a huge selection of freshly baked and preservative free Italian Biscuits (sold by the weight wi

A cute Italian patisserie with plenty of seating inside and outside, an authentic Italian environment. Now there is also a Lunch and Breakfast menu but who wants this when you can indulge on cakes instead.

And you'd expect for that price that the cakes and pastry would be rubbish. They weren't. With one exception they were delicious. DELICIOUS. Look: I'm not going to pretend I know a lot about cannoli and what it should taste like, because I don't, I have a vague idea, I'm not entirely sure wabout what constitutes a coffee eclair technically, either, though I do know the difference between a good crème patissiere filling and an average to terrible one. BUT: I thought these were pretty darned decent, better than decen

...this cheesecake besides being sweet, and creamy, had an ice cream like texture...
Shaun
I really loved the cannoli, delicious soft firm and at times crisp pastry surrounding the filling. The Italian custard was delicious but I liked the chocolate custard even better. The tiramisu was lovely but a little dry, the coffee éclair a bit too sweet. Pretty good.
