This has always been my favourite place for chilli mussels. Not only their chilli mussels are on point each time. It is infused well with the tomato base, italian herbs and we ate the dish with freshly toasted garlic bread. Their staff are super friendly and smiling all the time. They even give us bibs when we were eating the mussels to protect our apparel! We will go back again and again because we just love the place and their food.
Consistently great food, penne alla vodka is delish and best pizzas around. Amazing staff that always make you feel welcome and special. Great wine menu reasonably priced.
Had our mates birthday dinner on FRI 9/3/18 and it was beautiful! The Restaurant was fully packed and the service was bang on, friendly and very accommodating! Our entree’s and mains were delicious, drinks flowed all night and if we had any more room in our stomach we would have tried the desserts which looked incredible! To the team at Da Vinci’s...thanks for a great birthday dinner!!! We will be back for sure and would recommend to all!
We ordered pizza and 2 pasta dishes. Pizza was good with lots of toppings and generous amount of cheese. Both pasta dishes we had were good too; pasta was cooked perfectly and it was tasty. We love the service at this place, the waiter and waitresses were very friendly and helpful
Lovely food and great service. A good place for a dinner for 2 or 20. The waiters were all lovely and took good care of us. Our food was well timed with everything coming out at the same time. Make sure you check the specials for dessert, they are all delicious.
Went here tonight feeling so hungry I could eat the arse end out of a dead rhino and Da Vinci did not disappoint my mission to fill my grande punsa. We ordered the lamb shanks..talk about huge meal..the size of the shank had me questioning whether some small child had just lost his left leg. Well done Da Vinci..very satisfied..only one bad comment...there's a kid out there with 1 leg missing. Saboo & Tinker will be back.
Booked for 20 people for 40th wedding anniversary. Everyone raved about how good food was. All meals came out togethet and were hot. My lamb cutlets special was brilliant and cooked perfectly. Staff were friendly and attentive. Couldn't ask for better service and meals for this special occassion.
Absolutely amazing food, large generous portions and great value for money. My husband and I walked away very full. I have found my new local favourite
Small family run venue. The authenticity is there, not exactly high class, prices could be cheaper. However you always get a good meal and great service (fast) and I enjoy this place whenever I go. Little out of the way but easy parking.
Old fashioned expensive Italian, buzzing with Italian locals. The people are generally nice and very welcoming. The cheese ball starter was great !I had a seafood soup which was real flavoursome and not too heavy.(I do find the pricing a bit up there for what you get).My partner had the veal parmigiana with side spaghetti which looked a little like a dogs breakfast but tasted ok.( i didn't take a foto either as it looked unappealing)
Went to Da Vincis last night for a girls night/ birthday celebration. We were running late at the house so I called ahead and they were so nice about it. Then we arrived even later than we had thought and were still greeted by really friendly staff!
The food was delicious (I had spaghetti marinara) but it's the service that really makes this place special.
Last night was my fourth time there and every time has been a wonderful experience.
Came here for dinner. Ordered the penne alla vodka, penne with Italian sausage and penne with ricotta, eggplant and spinach with tiramisu. Food was good, service was great. However, as we went to pay, they did not give us the receipt to check our order. But because we had a rough idea of price, we calculated it prior to paying. Was a let down. Not one of my favourite Italian restaurants but not bad. Do try it if you're in the area.
Good Italian food at a reasonable price. The staff are always helpful and meals come out quickly. The mussels here are amazing. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.
Group of 13 for a Sunday dinner. Exceptional service from our waiter "Nick" who made an easy job of our large table. Meals all came out one after the other and cleared just as well. Food was above average for a family Italian restaurant and the service was second to none. Very warm and welcoming venue.
On a bad note the inside can be noisy and hard to carry a conversation with someone. I chose to come here and try out the food with a friend as we were hungry. I must say that the food was of excellent quality and reasonably priced. The staff were attentive, very friendly and polite. I think that I will return here someday
The service at this Italian restaurant is fabulous. The waiter was very energetic and a delight to talk to. The pasta we had was cooked al dente and full of flavour. The only downside was the eggplant parmigiana, it lacked robust flavours however I will definitely revisit to try the pizzas which looked amazing
Had a pleasant time at Da Vinci, good service, friendly waitress. Food was good above for the type of restaurant and price. If I'm honest I didn't totally love my risotto but that was more because of the chopped up tomato pieces but my partner thought his tortellini was pretty good! Didn't have desert. Garlic bread entree - large serve and tasty
Friendly staff honest tasty Italia food. Best soup in Perth my two sons recon it's the pizza they have eaten. Great bocconcini balls always hit the spot with a cold beer.
This restaurant is on point when it comes to traditional Italian food. The chicken pizza and Italian sausage pasta which I shared was sensational. The place is BYO which is always a bonus when it comes to the final bill. Staff here are extremely polite and helpful. North Perth has a fierce competition when it comes to food and this place is one of the best. Until next time ... 7/10.
Delicious food, I had the gnocchi and it was amazing! Home made and the sauce was Devine. I absolutely loved the desert too. It was a mirangue with fruit and cream.
Dropped in last night with my wife for a quick meal. Ordered a pizza (capriocossa), a greek salad and a bottle of red. Absolutely loved it. Must say the pizza was one of the nicest I have had for some time.
The place was quite full but the service was very prompt and professional. We will certainly be going back. Might have to work our way slowly through the entire pizza menu!
Really good true Italian food. Smells like home the minute you walk in the door. Great value and decent portion sizes. Probably best to book as gets quite packed. Will def be back.
Great!. You can see by the groups of Italians coming in that this place is a good one!
Some of the staff speak Italian which made the place feel authentic. The owner was walking around serving and chatting with people. The place is packed but you always felt looked after.
The food was fantastic! Loved the bocconcini fritti, haven't come across that an Italian restaurant in Perth before. The caesar salad was fresh with a beautiful homemade sauce and a poached egg, that was nice different touch.
And the gnocchi! You actually taste that it was homemade, it literally melted in your mouth!
Will be back :)
Scrumptious lamb.. I just had the best lamb cutlets that I can recall. Cooked to perfection, well-presented and an ideal serving size.
The restaurant is a little noisy but the staff are attentive and friendly.
It was a very pleasant evening.
Excellent authentic Italian food!
Always a family favourite! Great food and service.
Yum but.... Went here for my partner's birthday dinner...
Food was good, portion was generous like every italian restaurant.
The service however, could do with a bit of work..the waitress that served us was quite rude and didn't seem like she wanted to serve us let alone be at work. Further, we made a booking...upon arrival we stood at the counter for a good 5 minutes before we were served. The waiter and waitress' made eye contact with us but just seem to continue to do whatever they were doing...it wasn't busy. Acknowledgment that you'll be a moment would've been nice.
Love this Place... Our kids favourite place. Do yourself a favour. eat at Da Vinci's. Our kids are fussy when it comes to food, but they say the pizza is the best in the world. We've followed the owner from his restaurants in Freo, then South Perth and now Da Vinci's.
Dino always looks after us and the food's exceptional. Love the Calzone and the Risotto Pescatore. The place can get busy and noisy, but that's great, reminds us of when our big family gets together.
I think the negative reviews below must have gone to a different restaurant
Absolutely love this place I've been going for years and can't believe I am writing a review now. Never had a problem with food any special requests are always catered for. The owners are very friendly and the staff are great as well.
Good food, good service, clean, pricey.
Had a penne vegetariana (or however you spell it). Was delicious, loved the roasted veggies in it.
The Long Macciato topped up, that followed my meal, took too long and was too milky; three shots in it next time.
Food was great though, staff very friendly, clean place, atmospheric.
Again soon!
Service was exceptional, pasta was delicious and good value for money. Will be back again soon
Awesome!. I have been visiting Da Vinci several times for a while now and I have enjoyed a lot!, the food is delicious and the service impeccable!
Highly recommended
Really freaking good resturant. Staff is really nice, and efficiant. Food came fast, and was delicious (home made gnocci). And it's well priced. Best dinner we have had in a long time, in and out in an hour and it wasnt rushed. And you can sit an laugh at norons going to McDonalds across the street.
Love this place! Great service & food is delicious. Been going for years and always enjoyed it. The gnocchi is one of my favs!!!
Never ever leave disappointed. This place has been great for years.
Sunday Lunch - a BIG winner. Attended a good friend's birthday lunch here last Sunday - and if you want to go to a resturant that seems like you are going to a big family lunch - noisy, cheek-n-jowl fun, then this is the place. It was very busy, but the staff slipped through the resturant like butter, if you grabbed an elbow and asked for something - coffee, parmesan, cracked pepper, it arrived swiftly, was deposited with a smile, and then those smooth operators moved quickly onto the next demanding customer. Food was a tiny bit on the exy side for entrees, $16 for a small mushroom balsamic reduction salad - BUT it was worth every penny - it was a taste sensation. And the main serves were VERY large - too big for a 'lady who lunches' me thinks, entree sizes would be fine, or share with a salad like I did. Heartily recommend, but I would book if the crowd was anything to go by on this Sunday.
Desserts are a standout. Don't normally order deserts but this restaurant has a spectacular sticky date pudding and another crepes in butterscotch sauce dish. Food is consistently good and reasonably priced. Its BYO and great for big bookings where you want to choose a restaurant where you know your guests will be happy with their food.
Always good!. I love Da Vinci!
On the whole the food, service and atmosphere is always great. I do with they had the fried brie on the menu all the time and not just sometimes on the specials because it is delish!
Their chocolate mousse is to die for, but probably best to share as I am usually so full by dessert.
Always a good night out whether it's a nice dinner with my boyfriend, catchup with friends or end of year work doo.
Fantastic suprise! - My husband and I were driving towards another North Perth eatery when we saw Da Vinci's and as a spur of the moment change thought we would enjoy some pizza. luckily enough the lovely friendly staff at Da Vinci's were able to squeeze us in. The setting is very family Italian restaurant. Cheerful rather than fancy fine dining. Our glasses of Barossa Shiraz were delicious, as were our entrees... but it was the pizza really blew us away. Amazing crust, fantastic quality mozzarella that stretched for miles, and delicious perfectly balanced toppings. Can definitely recommend the special potato pizza if you are lucky enough to see it on the specials board! We will definitely be back.
Lovely Little Restaurante. Loved it!!
Lovely service,
lovely food. We went in a group and everyone got their meals together, and there were no mix ups in the order.
Atmosphere was great, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The friendliest restaurant in Perth ?. I have to echo the thoughts on those who love the service here. The staff were friendly, efficient and extremely accommodating.
The food was not bad either - we enjoyed the steak special and scallopine.
There's not a printed kids menu - but just ask - they have heaps of options available for the youngies.
Give it a go if you're after the easy not-too-expensive Italian option for dinner.
Friendly service, great food, reasonable price. Best chilli mussels :)
Sensational!!. We had our daughter's 18th Birthday dinner at Da Vinci's and everyone had an awesome nightl The food was faultless, the service and atmosphere was perfect and everyone, young and old had a fantastic night. We would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be going back.
Fantastic find!. Friends recommened this place and we are now in love. The staff are very friendly - happy to oblige any requests. meals are always of excellent quality. Garlic prawns are amazing - can not help dipping the bread and eating all the sauce. Pizzas and pasta always great. Highly recommended.
Great food all around. This is a nice little place with good food. Ambience and decor were also nice and modern. The servings were quite generous and reasonably priced. I fell in love with their bruschetta - simple, different and really tasty. With really good food, I'd be happy to come back and try Da Vinci.
Service with a smile. Went down for a family dinner the service was great from the phone call from when we booked to the moment we left. Food was good too nice generous servings. Would recomend for sure.
Pizza is the best North of the river. Great for dine in or takeaway.
A lovely place for dinner.. The first time I came here was a first date, and it was the perfect choice. Although Da Vinci's is quite busy during dinner periods, you can still hear yourself talk and have a nice conversation. The atmosphere itself reminded me a busy Italian home, which I enjoyed as it had a homely, comforting feeling about it.
The staff were very attentive, but not pushy and all the food was amazing and arrived promptly on time.
The mains are moderately priced, but always taste amazing so I'm happy to pay the cost. An Italian restaurant I always hold dear to my heart!
Remember consistency? remember Service? Remember Friendly staff? AHHHHH!. Here is a review that talks about the power of service - Sure the food was good - but what sets this restaurant apart s the service, not just from one staff member but all of them - over numerous visits - whether I have my two year old at 5:30 without a booking , a large group, just my husband and I or when apoligising for a power cut and suggesting that we actually go elswhere just this once - thank you Da Vinci - a restaurant that I never worry about going too!!!
Fabulous food, brilliant service, very good ambience and reasonable prices....will definitely be back.
Really delicious spaghetti marinara. One of the better Italian spots in Perth. Will recommend to friends!
Great for families very friendly. Almost feel like you are intruding if you are not Italian as everyone seems to know each other creating a brilliant atmosphere.
Incredible! We went with a table of 9 and not one of us could fault anything with any of our meals. Fantastic service, beautiful authentic food and great value! Highly recommended!
Good clean well cooked authentic food. Great service meals came out in good time all at the same time I love that.Good value would suggest booking as it fills up fast even on weeknights.
Wanna-be Italian, but good pizzas!. Most food is not quite authentic. Pastas can come overcooked and slightly unseasoned. But the pizza is a highlight, and in a country where everyone eats pizza but very few places make good one, I think this restaurant deserves a thumb up!
I'm a couple of kilos heavier after this delicious meal, one of the nicest (biggest) pizzas I've had in a long time, well done da vinci!
WOW! Such a great start to the meal, when we were allowed to change our table booking to s better location. Straight off the bat the waitress made us feel comfortable and we knew it would be an easy experience with the children. First off we ordered the calamari. It was cooked perfectly, it simply melted in your mouth, the dusting was full of flavour with a hint of chilli. For our mains we ordered scotch fillet med rare and tortellini. The scotch was a nice piece of protein, and the stuffed squash and beetroot were fantastic. The tortellini was fresh, cooked perfectly and had bags of flavour. An australiana pizza was ordered for the kids (and the big kids). The base was a highlight, with a wonderful texture and possibly a subtle hint of Rosemary throughout. It's a restaurant I have passed many times to head into the heart of leederville, but no more! Food 7.5/10 decor 6/10 service 8/10
Great pasta, great service!. We came here with a very fussy 9 year old who is very hard to please when it comes to Spaghetti Bolognaise... I'm pleased to say that he was impressed, and even rated it better than his mum's cooking! We also had the lamb cutlets, penne pollo (chicken) and chicken caesar salad. All were great - I can definitely recommend this excellent italian restaurant.
Great family resaurant. Good food and service.
...loved her marinara – the seafood was excellent and the serving generous. I’m not sure if the pasta is handmade, but I don’t think it is. The handmade pasta in the lasagna was terrific. Eight layers with a “rich Italian meat sauce” which I believe was dominant in pork. I often feel lasagna is too heavy, and find it hard to go past the vincisgrassi that migrated from The Grand to Yak Bar in Melbourne, but the al dente pasta and excellent meat sauce made for a delicious dish that was all the better for only $21!
If you love Italian food as much as I do this should be the next place on your list. Friendly staff, fantastic food and overall a great experience.
