Review Indian Garden Restaurant - North Perth

Anna
Had food delivered through Menulog. Wasn't expecting much, but I can honestly say probably the best Indian food I've tried in Perth. Even the basmati rice was awesome. And good value, the curries weren't expensive, and they were generous servings. Will definitely order again!

Amazing food, amazing service and amazing dining room area. The lamb korma is absolutely to die for!! And the restaurant is set out so beautifully. Service is also top notch- the waitress was so friendly and accomodating. Highly recommend- is also very reasonably priced... one very happy customer here!!!!

Great dining experience at Indian garden in North perth.we been there on Friday night well crafted spicework interwoven into delicious Appetizer followed by an mouth watering lamb jal frezi with fluffy naan naan . Must visit this place hidden gem in north perth great service Chef even came out To check on our meal, would certainly go back for more highly recommend.

This is the first time we've eaten here since the management and kitchen changed, and I have to say the food is much tastier now. 4 instead of 5 stars because the high chair provided for our baby looked like it had been saved from the street collection - not something I'd expect to see in a restaurant.

This restaurant came highly recommend so we were looking forward to dining here. It was the worst dining experience lve ever had. When we walked in the place was freezing cold, even the staff were wearing their coats. We sat through the entire meal with our coats on fully zipped up. We ordered food and when it arrived it was awful. None of the meal appeared to be freshly cooked. The entree was not dissimilar to what you get in the frozen section at the supermarket (except they actually have some taste!) It was not throughly reheated and was tepid. It lacked flavor and substance and was extremely bland. The meat appeared to have been stirred through the sauce afterwards. The naan bread was over microwaved and was rubbery and chewy. Definitely NOT authentic Indian. I’ve had better ‘take-away’ curries from the supermarket. The majority of the meal was barely touched due to the extremely poor quality. We were in and out in an hour, and most of that time was waiting for the food. I’d rather have my right arm amputated without anesthetic than go there again.

"As always great food, friendly welcoming staff, chef at his perfection and served exceptional food, taste like traditional home made." On every visit you will be dumbstruck with the flavours and astonishing desired dish, thanks to CHEF.

I have ordered tandoori roti, jeera rice, tandoori chicken, palak paneer and daal tadka thru uber eats. When the uber rider handed me the order oil was oozing out thru the paper bag. The oil was all over the place and I was so embarassed in the hotel lobby. Oil was floating in the palak paneer, daal and jeera rice. I never saw this much of oil used in any Indian restaurant, and I have tried Indian food in so many countries. Since me and my wife didnt want to waste food we decide to eat, but unfortunately it tasted so bad we couldnt eat more than a bite. The palak paneer was spoiled and didnt taste anything other than the oil. We had to throw all of it and ordered food from another place. I decided to give a call to the restaurant and they checked with the chef and said they used desi ghee, and didnt even bothered to apologize. Trust me no chef will use that much desi ghee in food, and it was not ghee some bad quality oil. I am so disappointed as I have to throw food which I usually dont do. Most horrible food experience so far. Avoid this place at all cost.

I absolutely love this place, it is my favorite Indian Restaurant. The food is great, not overly priced and the staff are very friendly. My family is from India and their cooking is just as good as my nans!

Awesome food and service, I would really recommend.

Very nice atmosphere and cozy ambience with reasonable prices. Good friendly service from the staff. Food is good too😄. Reasonably priced wine.

Ordered a few dishes one of which was Aloo Matter discovered they had given me a wrong dish of Shabnam Tari. Contacted them and they apologized and delivered the correct dish to my home within 10 minutes. Excellent customer service and the food is always great tasting .
Good Food Good Mood
I found this a tasty treat but it definitely didn't agree with one of my dining companions who found themselves running to the bathrooms midway through our Sunday lunch. We took up the $25 buffet option which was pretty excellent value as far as I was concerned because I could gorge on unlimited butter chicken. The curry itself was creamy and flavoursome and replenished as required (don't you hate buffets were they drag their foot on replacing the tasty stuff). Great find

20 of us celebrated with a $25 buffet at this restaurant and without exception everyone agreed the food quality, taste and selection was superb. We returned here after some 12 months and we were not disappointed. We had heard that with a change of owners standards had slipped; however they have returned if not exceeded previous standards.

On a hungry night, when we craved a kebab or two, we ordered for a meal from Indian Garden. The meal totally dissatisfied us - based on what we tasted I can only assume the chef was having a lazy night. We had ordered the tandoori chicken looking forward to juicy and seasoned chicken but ended up with greasy overdone chicken that was bland (nope, not talking about the heat from the spices), it was practically underseasoned and dripping with oil. The seekh kabab we hoped would be a redeeming feature, it looked alright but again, it was like the skewered mincemeat was systematically drained of all flavour before being boxed up. We didn't expect the chicken tikka masala to be any better and we weren't proved wrong - it was cooked chicken breast cut up and dropped into a generic gravy. I'd recommend tasty.com's recipe to the chef - its one pot, works well and am sure is difficult to get wrong - its the first video link when you google for - 'tasty.com one pot chicken tikka masala'<br/><br/>Overall not recommended, wouldn't try again, zero value for money. My apologies if am being rough but frankly am not someone with high expectations from a takeaway and if I sound disappointed, it truly was a sad food affair.

We had dinner last night, a new chef and the food was delicious ! Friendly staff and great service. Reasonably priced I would Definitely recommend it

A group of friends and I went to this restaurant on a Saturday night.  The food was ok but we were very upset at being asked to pay for two more people than we had there.  An argument pursued and it was quite embarrassing.  It turns out two people in our group had left early and paid for their meal, but were not excluded in the final count.  Not going there again.
Janine Bowie
Pass this restaurant on the way home so thought id give it a go as it is close to home.  Food was ordinary at best, nowhere near as good as i have had elsewhere.  Worst Naan bread i have ever tasted.  I would not recommend this place
Amy Lou
Ordered through UberEATS out of sheer laziness and really regretted my poor life choices. Every item in our meal was completely inedible, flavourless and extremely disappointing. I simply had to write a review for the first time ever in the interest of any fellow humans considering eating here. The food we received was so disgusting we had to throw it out. I can only hope that we are not made ill from the small amount of 'food' we did actually consume. I will never again betray my beloved Bollywood Spices (directly across the road from this hot-mess of an establishment) when we are hankering for a curry. Check them out for some quality Indian cuisine instead.

... what happened to this place?? I used to recommend this place to people as one of the best indian restaurants in Perth. Yet tonight's dinner was short of a disaster. I felt like Gordon Ramsay on Kitchen Nightmares as I stirred through the dahl wondering what the f#$@& I had just tasted.<br/>The tikka masala tasted like it was frozen and thawed out in the microwave, very watery and tasteless.<br/>The tandoori chicken was drier than my dad's sense of humour.<br/>Sorry, but none of the dishes ordered today were worth the money we paid. Hell, it's not even worth the diarrhea I'm going to get tomorrow. Seriously disappointing at best.<br/>Only normal tasting part of the meal was the mango lassi which was not too sweet and saved my taste buds.
Geoff Mason
This restaurant is lucky you cannot leave less than 1 star. The food was extremely disappointing. The butter chicken was the worst I have ever eaten, it was so watery I could have swam in it and it tasted like I was eating a honey chicken sandwich.  If you are thinking of going to try this restaurant, I suggest you read the recent reviews as they would suggest the quality of food as dropped over time. Will never be visiting again.
Jeff Wybz
Have been trying different Indian restaurants around Perth every week for over a year now.....only ordering butter chicken where ever I go. This place was something different entirely. Service was ok, but that's the only good thing. The butter chicken was quite possibly the worst I've ever tasted. Was too watery, had no flavour and was just overly sweet from what tasted like honey. Imagine honey flavoured water with chicken pieces floating in it. Never going back!.
Tani
Ordered through UberEATS. This is the worst Indian food we've had in Perth. How it got a rating of 3.8 is mind boggling. Naan was thick and had a doughy taste. Butter chicken was way too sweet and the chicken had a really strange taste. Lamb vindaloo was sour and lamb tasted off. We threw most of the food away. I promise that you will regret it if you order from them.
Ruth
<br/>Although the food and service at the Indian garden was ok, I was most disappointed when I dined with a Groupon voucher to find that the restaurant would not honour what was advertised in the deal only offering the cheaper options and not the wider menu as described. I have complained but yet not still had a satisfactory response from the restaurant . nice enough food but be wary of ordering any vouchers they seem a little bit dishonest!
Jguppy99
Had take away from here. Overall meal was disappointing. The Meat in the rogan Josh vindaloo was tough and lacked any flavor. The sauce looked like it had been sitting there for a while and lacked taste. overall not the best Indian and better options around <br/>

First time eating here. We had a voucher. Food was delicious and plenty of it. We had the buffet available fri and sat nights. We enjoy Indian food and the service was great. Will be back. Thanks.

Had the worst Indian food experience ever. So bad that it actually made me review for the very first time. We got goan fish curry which tasted horrible like it had been cooked years back, garlic naan was super thick and paneer masala was just edible. I would probably make better food watching a YouTube video. We wasted our money. I'd not recommend anybody!
Misty
We ordered $100 worth of food for four people on UberEats. It was the second time we have tried this restaurant, the first wasn't good but we thought we would give it a second chance. This time the servings were quite large, but it was close to the worst Indian food I have tasted. The butter chicken tasted nothing like elsewhere in Perth, it had a honey flavour in it, not like a curry. A lot of the other meat was tough and flavourless. I wouldn't recommend it.
Pablo Squires
Excellent service, fantastic lamb vindaloo! I've had better naan but it was a minor setback only. Friday night buffet was popular and looked to be great value, but we dined off the menu which they were only too happy to cater for.
Foodluvee
Super awsome fresh food. Very good service. Been here couple of times for celebrations. Always been glad at their service! Excellent ambience. You will love it too. Must try for all indian veg food lovers! Do visit and suggest they truly deserve 4.5 stars!

Had a great feed tonight took missus and two boys and father in law and all our dishes were tasty<br/>Staff were friendly meals came out at right pace so gave time for conversation

I've apparently turned into a miser, because it was the $49 for two shop-a-docket deal that saw us having dinner here on a rainy Thursday night. - and it represented good value for money.  Papadums, a shared entree of veggie samosas, a delicious goat curry and a searingly hot lamb vindaloo with rice and paratha, a Kingfisher beer and a glass of house red.  Service was lovely and serving sizes were much more generous than we needed.  We wanted a quick, cheap and cheerful dinner and we got just that.

Awesome dinner tonight! amazing food and really friendly staff. If you're seeking a cheap but delicious meal look no further. A real Hidden gem!

Fabulous food. Great value. Friendly staff. Would definitely come again!

Our new fave Indian restaurant. Went for my birthday with family. Friendly greeting at the door. Smiling, friendly staff & attentive service. The first impression was the FREE pappadoms brought to the table - wow, you never get anything free in Perth's restaurants so that was a nice surprise, just like the old days in England when the chutneys, condiments and rice came WITH the meal. The waitress did mis-hear one of our orders so we ended up with two chicken dishes but they were all very tasty and we will definitely return. We'd like to try the buffet.

Sensational!. Can't fault The Indian Garden, never fails to impress. Quality curries, and tasty entrees to kick off the meal. So much to choose from and our dinner guests are always giving the thumbs up to the flavours selected for the table. Garlic Prawns, Pakoras, Badami, Butter, Saag, Madras etc, the list goes on for delicious choices.<br/><br/>Always good, friendly service. The pick of the bunch for the Indian restaurants in our books.
Phil Brown
Disappointing. Reheated food.. Went here on Saturday night for a long overdue dinner with my partner. We were left very disappointed. <br/><br/>My partner ordered the butter chicken and I the goat curry. We immediately began to worry when the food came out when we'd barely had a mouthful of our BYO wine; it was little more than 5 minutes between ordering and the food arriving at the table. <br/><br/>As it is obviously impossible to properly prepare Indian cuisine in this time, we were sure the food was reheated, and it certainly tasted that way. The goat curry was ok, but certainly nothing special. The butter chicken was terrible. The chicken did not taste fresh and the sauce was so sweet I felt sick after a few mouthfuls. <br/><br/>The naan was also dry and did not taste fresh at all, so we barely had any of it in the end. <br/><br/>We would certainly not go back. There are much better Indian restaurants within a few kilometres which are also cheaper.

Dinner. We took some friends for dinner at the Indian Garden on 07/02/15. We have been to this Restaurant on numerous occasions & really enjoyed the food & service, it was good to notice that the couple we had dinner with were full of praise. <br/>They enjoyed all that we ordered although a bit sceptical to begin with. They did tell me that they would return with their families.<br/>I enjoy eating at this restaurant because of the friendly service, food & décor.

Friendly staff, great food; i highly recommend the buffet- plenty of variety and all fresh stuff, not reheated stuff aitting around and congealing.
Chamal Rathnaweera
Great value for money. Very tastey food. <br/>Everyone should try out. Really reasonable prices. Even liquor is reasonably prided. Love it. Good customer service. Well done. Cheers

Great food - love their buffet in particular!. This restaurant has great food and service at all times - never had a bad meal. Love the fact that this is one of the few restaurants that are open on Mondays.<br/>But it's their buffet that's the best - they do them at weekends. Great variety, different flavours, hot (thermically), well stocked and plenty of choice for veggie and meatlovers alike! All in all great value!

You will find much better Indian Restaurants in Perth. We were at the restaurant for dinner last night and the food was not great.... All the dishes were with full of potatoes and even the biriyani's were full of potatoes. I could not rate this restaurant even closer to other Indian places such as Bollywood, Cove and the Royal India... The naan breads were not fresh as well and you will notice that this is just re-heated...<br/>The service is not too bad though, but will not visit this restaurant again....
Nesium
Had samosas, zera and pea pulao rice, garlic naan, peshawri naan, chicken tikka masala and lamb madras. Delicious, flavour packed sauces! None of the watered down jar sauce like a lot of other places. Meat was tender also - couldn't fault it. Spicier than I expected, but that's a good thing.
Donna
Buffet Dinner Sat night. My husband and I went with 6 friends on saturday night for the buffet dinner. The food was ok. We wish we had ordered from the menu as the food was not that hot after sitting out all evening with no lids. The naan was very dried up. We probably not go again. We must admit we have been to other indians closer to home and much better.
Damon
1 Happy Customer. Very good food. Very friendly and helpful staff making allowances for a pregnant partner.<br/>Happy to go back again.

Indian Garden would have to be one of the best Indian restaurants in Perth. I visited a second time with a large group of friends this weekend for the buffet. The service was very accommodating, and the food incredible! I've never tasted better Palak Paneer, the Lamb Rogan Josh was delicious, the lamb was great quality. Appetizers were so tasty, the only downside was the naan was a bit "meh". I will definitely visit again, you cannot go wrong with the $30 buffet.

This place is a gem! As a .... This place is a gem! <br/>As a lover of Indian food I have to say this is by far the best I've had in Perth! The decor isn't very impressive but the excellent food and friendly efficient service make up for this! Chicken Korma is beautiful!
Jim
Love it. Fantastic food , good service , lovely atmosphere ... will be back soon :-)
Mummy Picnic
Good a la carte dining or a value-for-money buffet with a satisfactory range of starters, accompaniments, and curries with rice and naan, followed by desserts, fruit, and coffee. Helpful staff who will make the effort to let you know what's in a dish (e.g., what kind of nuts they've used), and gracious in honouring Entertainment Book vouchers or eDine discounts.
Taste Master
Fantastic service, great food. The Buffet was refilled immediately when we asked for more. Friendlt staff! We will be back....
Matthew Barker
This is a very pleasant restaurant with great curry dishes and crispy pappadums. There is a buffet option, which is recommended and not a compromise from the a la carte menu. Has everything you expect of a good family Indian restaurant, and with entertainment vouchers and ANZ eDine, is a reasonable deal. Highly recommended, with or without vouchers.
Linda Cleaver
Excellent. Great value for good indian buffet, had a very relaxing 60th birthday celebration with great service, highly recommend, we will be back again for sure! Thank you

Consistently good.. Four of us dined here on sunday evening.<br/>We have been here quite a few times.<br/>The food is very nice and the service excellent.<br/>We always have the a la carte menu so haven't tried the buffet, but it would have to be one of our favourite indian restaurants and not too expensive either.<br/>If you take advantage of one of their special offers or use a voucher it's cheap!<br/>Looking forward to our next visit.

Always a great meal and nice friendly service. Try the Saag Chicken it's amazing!

Disappointed. Very disappointed in this restaurant before, but decided to give it another try.<br/><br/>Staff were rushed and unfriendly. Some food was only just warm. Mentioned this to the waiter who just walked away.<br/><br/>Don't go there.<br/><br/><br/>-----22 May, 2013-----<br/><br/>Disappointing Meal at Indian Garden Restaurant. A friend and I went to this restaurant a few weeks ago - we had not been there before.<br/><br/>The service was very slow - obviously not enough staff for the restaurant size and the staff really need to smarten themselves up - their dress code was quite bad.<br/><br/>The meal was only just warm and the man who served us had dirty hands which put us right off.<br/><br/>We did not stay long and won't be going back.
L.brook
Disappointed. We were very disappointed in this restaurant. The butter chicken was straight out a ketchup bottle- couldn't even eat it, the rice was ordinary, the restaurant lacked atmosphere with its bright lights and it wasn't cheap. When we told the staff we were disappointed, they offered us another meal which required us to pay $50!!! The staff too were dressed in casual day clothes they looked like they'd just come in from shopping - which made us wonder about hygiene. Won't be going back.
Tim Watson
I love a good Goan fish curry and I have tried a few of the Indian places in the Stirling area, so far these guys top my list.
As I See It
The food was delicious, service was friendly and the price was even better. It was such good value, I forgot I was in Perth

Enjoyed. Went on Saturday night with a spreets voucher, we could choose if we wanted the buffet or the al a carte we chose the latter and were pleasantly surprised.<br/><br/>Only one complaint my wife had the samosa for entree great flavour but slightly cold on the inside.<br/><br/>The rest of the food was very good, staff were friendly and attentive & while paying our small bill for the beer we spoke with the owner Chef who was very interested in our opinions. Nice little personal touch.<br/> Will certainly go back.
Lealander
Delicious. Smells so good before you even get in the door. The staff were very friendly and the food came out in good time. The curries were flavourful and generous. Nice atmosphere too. Safe to say I was impressed and will be back.
Bubblicious
Average..... The food was ok, the service was ok... you always feel a bit segregated from the ‘regular customers’ when you have booked using a Scoopon. The servings were huge, which was nice... wasn’t anything particularly special though. I thought this might have been third time lucky for eating out with Scoopons, but it wasn’t particularly inspiring... don’t think I will be getting restaurant Scoopons in future.
Tracy
We went last night using a scooping type voucher. The staff were attentive, friendly and the buffet hot and delicious. However we did dine at 5.30pm when food was just put out and restaurant was pretty empty.
Fred Smith
Pleasant and relaxed. We had the buffet and unfortunately all dishes were only slightly warm. They didn't appear to be freshly prepared. We visited on a Sunday night. Service was good and a very generous glass of wine. Food flavours were quite good. Not the best "Indian" restaurant we have tried, not the worst either.
SC
Great scoopon experience!! The food was very tasty and the serves were generous so you could tell they hadn't give u a "voucher" size like other places do. There were no restrictions and you ordered off the regular menu. Overall fantastic value for money and we will go back to again even without voucher as the food was delicious. (ps. Even the service was good!)
Carol Darby
A very pleasant surprise. My husband and I visited the Indian Garden last wednesday night and used a Scoopon voucher which we had absolutely no problem using and we only booked a couple of days earlier. Our first impression was very positive as the decor is quite appealing.<br/><br/>Drinks were included. My husband chose a glass of red wine and was happy and I chose the mango lassi which was delicious. <br/><br/>We each chose a chicken entree and the helpful waitress took that order while we decided what mains to get. This meant the entrees arrived quite quickly. Both were very tasty and left us wanting more. They were generous serves and great value if paying the normal $7.95 each.<br/><br/>We chose a sizzling vegetable dish plus a medium lamb curry which they were happy to adjust to mild. Rice and naan bread were included and were both fresh and a lovely addition. Both mains were very tasty and again good value. Dessert was included and my husband chose the simple plain icecream and fresh fruit whilst I went for the house made mango icecream which was a small dessert but very very nice.<br/><br/>The whole experience was most enjoyable. Great food and friendly helpful staff. We plan on taking friends there to dine and are more than happy to do so even without a voucher. It would still be good value and I know my Indian loving friends will not be disappointed.
EB
Disappointing Customer Service. I was eager to visit the Indian Garden Restaurant, especially since I had a Spreets voucher for a great deal. I was hugely disappointed however when I called to make a booking, only to be rudely rejected by the staff. It turned out that the booking needed to be made 1 month ahead, and with the voucher expiary being 28 days away they would not take the booking, as it apaprently was 2 days under the booking/voucher expiary. Without getting into the technicalities of how many days constitute a "month", I was rather angered by the attitude and poor customer service of the staff person, who also denied my polite request to speak to the manager. Needless to say my $50 voucher can now be ripped up. What a great way to ruin your restaurant reputation to a person who didn't even get a chance to visit! And I certainly will not be any time soon.
Mark Casey
Great Flavours. Ok, it was a night when we were too bothered to cook. Indian is what we decided on. Well from the moment we walked in the door it was inviting, the aromas hit you and you could have thought you were in Delhi. We ordered a shared entree which was a wonderful combination of indian delights. The mains were shared and both had full and very different flavours. The sweets were the usual suspects at an Indian restaurant but pleasant none the less. Overall I would go back there, the waiters were attentive and very polite. The decor was ok with linen napkins on a formca table top. Lighting was a bit bright but not over the top. I would suggest trying this quaint place with big flavours. i would rate it at an 8/10 for an indian restaurant.
Kate Barnett
Very nice food and excellent service...the staff were all very friendly.highly recommend this restaurant.

Authentic Indian!. Excellent food. The true Indian experience. The service from the staff was very prompt with food being brought out within an good time frame.
Frequent Diner
Amazing food and servie. Went to Indian Garden for dinner with my girlfriend for Valentines Day. The food was amazing. The staff was really friendly. One of the best indian restaurants around.<br/><br/>Definitely recommend anyone wanting to try it.

Unbelievably good - on a scoopon!. Called Sunday arvo, went Sunday night. Dinner for 2 - was worried as wife is 8 1/2 months pregnant - new restaurants can be dicey! Whe nthe entree - the meat samosas and garlic prawns came out - the prawns were sizzling ferociously on a steel platter - the samosas too hot to touch. And they were awesome. Mains of beef korma, Chicken something (had cashews and almonds) and upgraded the bread to peshwari naan and the rice to a lamb biryani. BEST INDIAN MEAL EVER. No exagaration, it blew our socks off. If anything, I wasn't too fond of the chai - not as sweet as usual, but still good. Will be going there for years if they keep that quality up. Desert was the rice pudding and the indian pastries - also great. Excellent fast service too.

Went there on valentines day. First impression was ok, staff approached and asked for booking etc. brought us to a table facing the sliding door towards alfresco. Told him it was too windy-he said no, it's ok. Hello? Who's the customer? Guess he had good Indian layer of fats. Argued for awhile and he decided to bring us to another table. we had a scoopon deal. First he said we can't use that bcoz of valentines day. Then he agreed. And then 5mins later, he came back saying -no cant use here. Very loud and unprofessional. Well..we wasted 20mins there already! Ok decided to go ahead and order. Food came within 10mins which was really good. As an Indian, I know most Indian restaurants are pre made except ala carte like 9 marys etc. no one came to the table after that. After 25mins, no one came. We finished our glass of water. We asked another short chubby Indian gal for top up. She looked at us with disgust. Water didn't come, waited for 10mins. We stood up to go to the counter to pay the bill. We spoke to the woman at the counter. She said it was busy- abt 6 couples in the restaurant. Busy? Guess this is the Indian service in the Indian garden. 0/10. No more patronizing.

We've been here a lot, walking distance from home. Good food, not overly expensive & the staff are nice. Good fOr a casual dinner with friends.

Yum Yum. We went to Indian Garden Restaurant last nite....the food....amazing...the service amazing......worth every cent and every minute....thankyou for a wonderful night
Trevor
Absoultely Fantastic !!. I decided to have my wife's 60th Birthday at the Indian Garden Restaurant based on the excellent reviews I read on the various websites. We were not disappointed at all, as the restaurant certainly lived up to its' reputation of quality food and excellent service. The owner and his lovely wife were so accommodating with all our demands. The staff were very friendly and paid a lot of attention to our guests throughout the night. Nothing was too much as far as they were concerned. Everyone enjoyed the scrumptious buffet and entree, not to mention the delicious mango lassi. We will definitely come back to the Indian Garden Restaurant. A big thank you to Chimku, Pushmina and all of the wonderful staff that made this night very special.
GeorgiaS
Awesome place- we know we'll always be getting tasty food and great service! We love going here!

Great Indian!!! Had a scooping deal for Indian garden so my better half and I went one Friday night. Booked up but we got in at 830. We had the choice of a three course setting with wine each or do the buffet style instead. We chose the buffet just so we could try a little bit of everything!! It was delightful!!! :)
Emma Bourke
We went there using a scoopon and it was amazing! The service was brilliant and the food fresh and tasty! Would definitely reccommend the buffet - great value.
BKW
Indian Garden. Great place to dine in. Went there with scoopon, and we took the buffet all you can eat on the weekend. It was great food and the kids love the naan bread. Will go there again.
Janelle Dickinson
Great food. I purchased a voucher for this restaurant, it was for 2 entrees , 2 mains, 2 alcoholic drinks, a rice , a naan and 2 desserts. (also BYO'd a bottle of wine) The service is so friendly and the food was very yummy, fresh and tasty. Can also order the buffet, which is what I would try next time as there are too many amazing choices on the al acarte menu.
Erin Wong
Good food & excellent service. I got a scoopon for this meal. I have had bad experiences being a scoopon client but Indian Garden treats you like any regular paying customer. Actually even better than being a regular client...they treat everyone exactly the same. You can't differentiate between who has a coupon & who doesnt. You are just dotted on and actually given choices even though we knew the meal has been set. We will definitely be going back. The butter chicken is amazing...and their garlic prawn starter is making me drool right now.
Tina Pierce
Naan! Such good naan bread. Yeah.
Napaporn Ong
I'm very lucky to find this restaurant. Went for dinner using Scoopon. I didnt have much expectation but this proved me so wrong. The service is quick and the wait persons are very attentive. We were served with cold water upon seating and ever since my glass was filled without having to ask for. Both entree and mains came out very quickly and they are very delicious, definitely cooked by skillful chefs. Most Indian restaurants I have been to charge so much for food and drink but this one doesn't cost arms and legs, very well priced and tastes the best. Serve size is very generous. Make sure you go there with empty tummy. This is the best Indian restaurant in Perth by far. I am definitely go back any nights.

Disappointed.. Personally I'm surprised that I couldn't find a bad review for this restaurant. To start with, while the service was good in the beginning, it got to the stage where it was so overly attentive that it felt like the waitresses were constantly hovering over you and we were interrupted twice within about 5 minutes to make a decision about the dessert menu. <br/>Secondly, the food was completely sub-par. The entrees of onion bhaji and paneer pakoras with a side of chutneys and raitas was disappointing to say the least. The paneer tasted as though it had come out of the freezer whilst the bhaji was ok. The chutneys had definitely just come out of a jar with the mint chutney having an eery toxic ooze green colour. <br/>We opted for the veggie sizzler and somehow was served the paneer sizzler so we settled for that. Unfortunately though we couldn't taste the difference between that and the paneer jal frezi that we also ordered but it all tasted ok.<br/>The biggest problem we found was the dessert. The mango kulfi tasted of condensed milk with absolutely no mango flaour. The kheer was inedible. It was unflavoured, tasted like creamed rice pudding out of a can with some slivered almonds and some sultanas tacken straight out of a packet and sprinkled on top. <br/>All in all, very disappointed and we won't be back. We'll stick to Mela from now on for decent Indian food.

Excellent Indian. I have been there both for takeaway and dine in and I've never had a bad dish. The service is excellent and the portions generous. <br/><br/>The pakoras and bhajis are delicious and I have to fight my girl for my share!

Always a pleasure!. My family and I have been here several times. Every single time the service is always good. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the food is delicious. The best Indian food we've come across in Perth. We always order at least one butter chicken and a garlic naan. The butter chicken is always creamy with the right amount of spice compliment. The naan is melting when you bite into it, with a nice woodfired flavour. I also love the rogan josh and the onion bhaji. Don't judge by the simple decor and the plainess of the outside of the restaurant. This place is a gem!

Tasty north indian food. The garlic naan bread is awesome along with the beef vindaloo, and the potato curry. Friendly and helpful service as well. Can't go wrong with this place.

Fantastic buffet. Out of all the indian buffets I've been to... I found this one to have the best tasting entrees like the onion bhaji.

For me this is the best Indian food I have tasted outside of India and Malaysia. The Indian Garden Restaurant in North Perth serves tasty rich Indian food. On weekends they do a buffet which is made freshly and provides a great range of Indian sides, mains and sweets, providing a great way to sample a range of dishes.

Food: 4 Stars <br/>Reason: I would've rated higher, but I spent the rest of the day drinking water non-stop. Might have been my over-confidence with the vindaloo or ... the negative side might be because there's some sort of MSG in the food. I will have to retry this place and let you know.

I was similarly pleased with the butter chicken, which was entirely delicious and came with a generous amount of chicken. I really enjoyed them both, especially with a helping of the saffron rice on the side.

I certainly enjoyed my meal. The entrees were a great start. The platter or tasting plate, contained a generous collection of mini eats and was great value. The chicken Tikka Malai had lovely flavours and this carried on in the mains via the butter chicken and lamb saag. I have had better butter chicken but this version was solid. I enjoyed the breads and the generous servings, relaxed setting and friendly service is a place that you wouldn’t hesitate for multiple visits. Great value and well priced.
