We had an amazing meal tonight. If you are looking for authentic Italian past, deserts and coffee this is the place. The meals are well priced, the service is fast. and there is a great kids menu. When the weather heats up there is a nice outdoor area for those who prefer to eat outside. The owner is authentic Italian and has poured his heart and soul into the ambiance and cuisine and it shows.

Nocciolina.. wow. Im a cake / sweets snob haha i do not like average. This did NOT disappoint im so glad i made the trip here today. Amazing food faultless coffee and service. Only regret is forgetting to grab a coffee card cos i will be back. Love supporting small businesses like this. (Apologies for my toddler's srink spilling!) Just knew i had to try this slice of heaven when i saw it the other day!

Been to almost every Italian restaurant in this area. This is by far our favourite. Staff and Chef are all lovely, food is brought out quick and hot! - The Mortadella & Prosciutto Tortellini is both my girlfriend and my favourite Pasta we have ever had!

Absolute agreement with ChibiMatty. Cariola is a diamond in dining. I have tasted Italian food from no-names to big names and Cariola rates up there with the best without the price tag. The ravioli/tortellini etc is made fresh and tastes it. I had aglio e olio (Garlic/Chilli/Parsley/Parmesan) however asked if chef could add garlic prawns..no problem...magnificent! When in Rome (or Mt Lawley lol). My partner had fresh made waygu beef ravioli (classic tomato sauce with a hint of cream). Outstandingly flavousome with the right proportion of sauce that didn't drown the pasta and the beautiful filling. Finished with a a beautifully light and flavoursome Panna cotta. When you have a team of chef and pastry chef running a resturant you have a win win for customers. Bonus is the value for money. Its BYO. Its also small :). Sits about 30 inside and 12 outside (Walcott Street). Obviously a popular local...all tables booked tonight. We'll be back to taste more of this menu soon.

Love this place. The chef is a pasta and risotto enthusiast who has a clear love for his materials and how to get the most flavour out of them. If you like authentic, he can do authentic. But if you like it done with a passion and a twist, with years of tasting and experimentation to get something new, different and tremendously flavoursome, then that's why you come to Cariola.
Here's an example, he doesn't just use parmesan or pecorino cheese, he uses a blend of 4 or 5 cheeses to make a perfect mixture, that tastes just right; and he does that with all his ingredients, such is his dedication. He might put a dash of cream in his carbonara and he knows that it's inauthentic to do so; he also doesn't have any guanciale, but he's a pasta nerd and his combination of Italian cured pork within his "carbonara" is one of the tastiest in town.
So if you're after the old school traditional stuff, he can do it; but I would go there if you want something just a little bit different, done by a man who clearly loves what he's doing and is obsessed with the craft; a chef who knows that taste is the most important thing.
Everything was delicious! We got the baked cheese to share and for mains we got the wagyu beef ravioli and the chorizo chilli prawn spaghetti. Would definitely be back

Forgot to take photos was just enjoying the place. We booked a table and was there on time. Staff great and friendly especially on entering the restaurant. Small and intimate. Definite booking is essential.
We had pumpkin ravioli, waygu beef ravioli, chili mussels (yum). Sorbet and cappuccinos. BYO a lovely meal was had by all.

Drove from Bibra Lake to North perth for this. The cheesie garlic bread dip was incredible. Both pasta dishes were like nothing else, the prices were good and the serving sizes were perfect. Most places like to pack the bowl leaving you disappointed where there's not enough left to take home but your so full you want to vomit. Never had Italian like this before. The service was incredible. Tall white man working noticed i came back with a bottle of wine straight away and brought glasses before i even had time to think to ask for them. Isabelles service was amazing, the perfect timing of knowing when to ask and how to make you feel like shes dedicating her service to your table only, when in fact she was simultaneously balancing multiple. Her smile was lovely and she matched my joking attitude. A business owner who knows how to train their staff and run a business. Recommended this to 10 of my friends while i was eating, and now a bunch of them are returning. If the food or service was anything less than 4 stars, I wouldnt be bragging or strongly recommending. So there you go. Thank you.
