I happened to stop over for a glass of macchiato at this coffee shop. it was a four dollar coffee with a ten dollar taste. sitting in the corner, watching people, sipping my macchiato with delight, I enjoyed the short visit feeling at home.
Great food, cosy atmosphere, A German chef, and very well priced will definitely recommend this place further and come back soon

Memo to Perth City Council: allow them tables and chairs in the arcade as others have in same arcade. Highly recommended -it is where I sort out Dave Rodda on deep matters of state and world events.

Absolutely delicious warm hearty German food. Sauerbraten, Goulash, Leibekase, mashed potato, sauerkraut and warm pretzels were all splendid! Friendly service from a lovely German guy who is really passionate about his food. Definitely coming back for lunch.
For those of us who work in the east end of the CBD, a quick decent coffee is relatively hard to come by. I can always rely on Toffee Cafe to supply me with that much needed caffeine hit and a friendly chat (if they aren't too busy!). The coffee is amazing, the beans are sourced from local roasters so you can be confident knowing that your are supporting small businesses in WA by purchasing your coffee here. Big thank you to Maria-Luise and Jochen for their amazing dedication, wonderful customer service and endless hard work. Keep it up, we love you!!
yum! had lunch here on a friend's choice. food was nice, a touch on a pricey side but not unreasonable. service was extremely friendly and very personal - the couple knew the names of most of the customers who came in during the time we were there!
If you go anywhere in Perth for the authenticity of a good home style meal, make Toffee Cafe a priority. This little gem in the CBD, is worth visiting once a week, the service is prompt and efficient, yet very accommodating(It's German). And Jochen and his wife and two wonderful and friendly people. Everything on the menu is reasonably priced and delightful. I recommend the German pork chop lunch. But if your in a rush do try the Hamburg style rolls, well crafted and delightful. Wonderfully refreshing to have a German cafe that sticks to it's roots too. Ein Ort zu besuchen, Es ist wunderbar

Another visit to Toffee Cafe is a must and I ordered the currywurst with sauerkraut and mashed potato. I decided to grab a table and dine in this time. I’m always happy when I’m pleasantly surprised on the upside as with the first bite today. What a delicious flavoursome sauce, tasty sausage, smooth creamy mashed potato, and a slight touch of acidity from the sauerkraut. What a delightful winter warmer. It might appear as a simple meal but all elements were done perfectly. Extremely satisfied. I also appreciate the warm service and hospitality from the couple that run this place, a trait which is rare in Perth.

Toffee Cafe is a tiny cafe in Equus Arcade which is easy to miss but you’ll be the one missing out if don’t stop by. With very friendly service, the cafe is open for breakfast and lunch and serves coffee, pretzel rolls, croissant, and German dishes (like goulash and sausages) including daily specials. I visited for lunch and chose the daily special of smoked German chop with sauerkraut and mashed potato, an iced coffee, and an apple slice. I chose takeaway and my meal turned out to be the perfect winter warmer. A delicious tender pork chop was balanced by the slight acidity of the sauerkraut and who doesn’t love creamy mash? Add them all together with the gravy and each bite is just yum yum yum! For the price, this is unbeatable value as a lunchtime option. Having a sweet tooth, it was hard to resist the German apple slice which caught my eye in the display cabinet. I saved this for the 3 o’clock hump and it’s just like a crumble. A lovely delicious sweet treat to get me through the rest of the day. Mmm… Definitely will be coming back to try some of the other menu items.
Mid afternoon Apple cake with my son.........and Jochen makes the best coffee! Never had a disappointing coffee or meal at Toffee and the personal service makes all the difference.

Tried their Currywurst today, spicy but delicious! Sausage was smooth and got right amount of seasoning. Loved their bun! Crusty outside, soft inside. Spicy sauce was great to be eaten with the sauerkraut. I asked them to make the sauce spicier and they did. They (again) gave free Monday treat of sesame bars (just a tiny piece) for all customers after meal, simple yet very sweet gesture. I had the German Apple slice the other day with my sister and we both loved it. Even bought another one today! Unfortunately their coffee wasn't the best (had Flat White today). But I will definitely go back for authentic German food!

Friendly owners. They gave me complimentary chocolate coated coffee, very nice of them^^ Ice coffee was good although a bit bitter for me. Plum slice was good, not sweet and very tart. Will go back to try the German Apple slice next time.

This place is amazing!! Mouth watering, hearty meals, diciously cooked and well portioned. The freshly made juices pair up fantastically with any dish. These are the Zigeuner Schnitzel, and the German Bratwurst with Potato Cake 🤤
Lovely authentic German food, so tasty! The owners are very friendly and helpful. We had Schnitzel with German potato salad, Leberkase and Spätzle! Just a fantastic taste of Germany in Perth.
My all time favourite cafe in Perth! Delicious German food cooked by the lovely couple and I particularly love the relaxing atmosphere in the cafe, only 3 tables available, better come earlier before it gets crowded☺️
Finding such a friendly, small cafe is such a wonderful experience. Delicious coffee. Great selection of homemade German food. Renovations are happening in the arcade but do not let this put you off buying a great coffee.

Simply Delightful. A little taste of Germany. Dropped in for coffee and enjoyed a delicious "Berliner" don't and grabbed a pretzel to go. Has a brilliant German menu ideal for lunchWonderful friendly host.. you must go
This place is exceptional. I have had the take away bratwurst on two occasions the bun and brats are top notch. Today I sat down and had the currywurst with mash potato and sauerkraut it was sensational. I've invited my parents into town to join me for lunch here next week.
Cafe made be teeny tiny, but you will get the biggest warm welcome!
Beautiful food, made with love and attention to detail. Most of all delicious! Especially schnitzel sandwiches and apple cake with fresh cream.
Stopped by here for some coffee and cake. The coffee (Long Mac) was great and the cake was astounding. It was a plum cake (like a crumb cake in style) and it was seriously delicious.
You don't see many German restaurants and cafes in Perth, so I'm happy to see a good one in the CBD.
