Review North Ryde Rsl - North Ryde

Proud to be a member of North Ryde RSL and appreciate their top meals, good value and kids play area. The kids play area is PAID, but we only paid $6 per child and it's supervised - giving you time out. Shall be back more!

A great RSL club with several places to dine (Chinese or western), lawn bowls, tennis courts, fields (with a junior club), Anytime Fitness gym, aviary, children's play area, function rooms, obligatory pokies, etc. The food is good and there is plenty of seating. It's also nice to have the option between western and Chinese food (at The Houde of Tong). The kids always love the children's play area, which has some play machines and a big slide and ball pit area. It costs $6 for 2 hours per child. It is conveniently located next to the main eating area. It is supervised and operated by staff. Older children can go in and out, and for younger children, you are given a buzzer (like the one for the restaurant) so they can buzz you if there is a need to do so.

This has to be my top pick for visiting .. so much to see from the moment you walk in , you can have a massage in one of the chairs while watching the large bird life they have , or enjoy Yum Cha in House of Tong on the top level , the have corners you can enjoy coffee or cake , you can even make a wish in the wishing well . I do recommend having a day at this venue you will not be disappointed.

I visited here a little while ago. Either the portions were too small or the plates were too big? Food was okay but pricy.

This club is really spacious and had good Covid safety practice in place. Foods were good and staffs are really friendly. Great place for family day out. June 2022, we had lunch at Riverview. Food was nice and service was excellent. Staff named Lucy was really friendly and attentive despite looking after nearly whole floor.

Its not a bad place but they could do better. We went as a large family group. The vibe is very 90s. Which I actually liked. The place is very dated but still feels warm and inviting. The kids play area is excellent. The food was a little average. Its looked great on the menu but the execution was soft. I had veal schnitty which after 2 mouthfuls found I could not eat. Tasted a little funky to me and I now write this post from the toilet 2 hours later. Luckily they happened to accidentally give us an extra meal in error. A spaghetti Marina which was quite delicious. All in all we all enjoyed our visit. The only other thing to mention was how slow it took to become a member. Other clubs scan your licence and grab the data automatically. This place required the old paper form/data entry which took almost 15 mins end to end.

Riverview bar and dining on Level 2 of North Rude RSL... Where to start? Understaffed, inefficient system of taking bookings for tables whilst turning others away, QR code and app on tables doesn't work, the "manager" accosted us for daring to walk straight in and finding a seat when we should have "waited to be seated" ( the sign is completely unnoticeable, and also, it's a RSL bistro mate, get over yourself). Then the food. I knew it was average and best but today just reminded me not to bother next time. The only reason two stars were awarded here was because of the adjacent children's facilities that were again, understaffed, poorly managed and had a staff member constantly screaming at children...
