Not entirely sure why this place is rated so low. We had a good experience eating drumettes and winglets. It is coated in cheese powder. The skin is crisp not too oily. Chicken is tender and juicy. I did not like the strong sweet flavor from the powder. Service is fast. Good visit. @Xihuahua š¶ and I might be back.
I donāt know where I have been before but Iām so glad I have came across these delicious chickens!!!! Theyāre so much better than KFC chickens!!!! I really love the spicy flavour chicken!!!! Highly recommended if you are craving for chickens!!!
We visited in the afternoon and service was pretty quick. We ordered Freaking Hot Fried Chicken meal combo and it was easily shared between two people. The coating was spread evenly and the freaking hot coating is pretty spicy!! Iām definitely coming back to try other flavours
I heard a lot of hype about NeNe Chicken, even before it opened, so i was very keen to try it. First time here, I had the Chicken Kimchi burger with swicy sauce and it was DELICIOUS. It was so good and filling that my friend and I could not handle large fries (but we still managed to get through it š
). Macquarie is a far trip for me but whenever I do visit again I hope to try the soft shell crab burger or something from the fried chicken range š
Fav chicken place that is affordable for smaller portions , swicy sauce is a go to, so is bulgogi . Very rich and flavourful!! Free tea soft serve is also highly recommended. But the staff always seems very depressed and unwelcoming

Been there a few times, they have one of the best Korean Fried Chicken I've tried.
Can't wait to go back and try their other stuff.
Just wish there were more locations closer to where I live.
Nene Chicken was a highly anticipated opening in Sydney, meant to be one of the best Korean fried chicken places in the world! After all the anticipation it didnāt fully live up to expectation but it was close. We tried Original, snowing cheese and freaking hot; original was my fav. Snowing cheese was more like strong cheese dust which overpowered and was not enjoyable. Freaking hot was meant to be like really hot, and it was but it wasnāt uneatable hot.
Delicious chicken in a small portion. :) Just I wish the counter staff can be more friendly to customers then, it will be perfect. :D Cheers!
itās seldom that we get to taste really good cooked chicken wings and tasting Neneās Chicken wings - I think I found the best comfort place to get these wings - and with different flavours too! Prices are reasonable plus they have a lot of other options such as tacos and wraps. Nice place to bring the kids and endulge!
Despite the somewhat negative reviews about the chicken, i received good ones during my visit. Grabbed the flavoured garlic wings/drums combo (6p) for $7.95 and asked if i could get some radish on the side. The worker put in "ranch" for an extra $1. Took close to 5 mins for it to come out, ensuring that its fresh. As predicted, it was just the ranch sauce and i quickly told him they misheard me and the guy quickly just gave me some radish. Kudos to you! The chicken wasnt the most crispiest but i aint complaining. Very tender and can really taste the garlic flavour. Happy to come again.
We had their original classic chicken, and it was yum! The sides which come with the chicken add to the flavour and prevent the dish from becoming boring. The quantity is also good. The food is value-for-money!
Really nice fried chicken. Made to order so you are guaranteed crispy goodness. They also provide disposable plastic gloves so your hands don't get dirty.
Fried chicken is great, the tacos are good too. Cheese sticks are a bit of a ripoff though, only 3 pieces. Free water as well is handy
I went several times. First time I went had to wait. But this time I went, they have little chairs for people to sit while they wait and I didn't wait long. Chicken are so crispy and the burger is so yummy!
The Original Regular Chicken ($10.95) came with 5 pieces of chicken. First thing that struck me was hot fresh and hot it was- after 10 minutes it was still crispy and hot. The chicken itself had a thin crunchy coating, well seasoned and not too greasy. Most pieces were juicy and tender. Serving size wasnāt huge, but did make for a good snack.
Really enjoyed the soft serves ($2.70). The black sesame had quite an intense flavour, which I often donāt find in soft serves. Texture was smooth and creamy, and was complemented well by the crunchy cone. Only thing was it melted quite quickly so eating it was a bit haphazard and messy!
Love the bulgogi chicken so much! I live in chatswood but iāll still come back for more. The other thing i love is the cheesy sticks and also matcha ice cream, i think its very delicious!
My son loves the chicken burger! He used to love the KFC burger (haha standard) but now only wants to have nene burger everytime we walk pass. I have to say the ranch sauce is just insane!
The third time I come to the store this week! Still love it. It will be good to have some seating for the take away people because it is always full and not easy to find a seat.
The chicken was so delicious!! love the spicy one!! One of the best Korean fried chicken!! They offer buy one get one free for a couple of first days!! Ooppps.. the cheese one also very nice!!!

Finally its in Sydney NeNe Fried chicken landed over the weekend and they brought over some killer fried chicken and korean soft serve.
Well known fried chicken branch in Korea has made its way in Australia but they were in Melbourne only! Until now ... š
Exclusive to Sydney branch are the soft serve and tacos!! So make sure you get them ASAP!!!
My favourite was the fried wangs with freaken hot sauce and cheesy (snow) ...

Food was good. We ordered the snowy cheese boneless fried chicken. Suggested serving is 2-3 people, but we shared it between 2. We did have some leftovers, however i would certainly suggest ordering something else if you wish to share between 3 people.
The batter to chicken ratio was good and it was nicely balanced with a good amount of snowy cheese flavour. The chicken was also very tender and juicy and full of flavour.
We also ordered the tornado potato with the chilli flakes. Would have liked it to be more spicy but otherwise still a good base cheesy flavour.
We didn't have to wait too long for our food, but we did eat around 5:30-6pm which was just before the normal dinner rush.
Tip: If you are unsure if you can finish what you ordered, just order your food for takeaway and then eat at the restuarant. It will save you from paying for a takeaway box later and going back to the counter to pay again (especially if long lines)
Would recommend! Just make sure to come a bit earlier, as around 6pm - 6:30pm it started to get busy fast.
I find the Macquarie outlet to be very cozy. The sitting area though small but very cutely presented with fake plants and mirror. Quite extended operational hours. Nice and friendly staff. Very clean. Has high chair option. Varied menu and cold drinks available. We order almost every Friday night. We love it. Highly recommended ā¤ļø
We got two kind of chicken and mega chips it was sooo worth the price. We ordered a mega bowl of chicken with normal and spicy chicken it had over 50 pieces of chicken with no bones and two mega chip baskets and a family size coke it was so worth it and the total came our to 50 dollars. I seriously recommend coming here.
Dropped by again to get boneless, 6 pieces and tornado potato. I like how the boneless pieces are cut smaller unlike before and sauces were evenly coated. Tornado potatoās also delicious as usual!
Just a bit disappointed with uneven sauce coating on the 6 pieces. I also thought it wasnāt well cooked but taking it apart, itās cooked through and still crispy too.
Service was okay as usual but food is definitely coming out slower compared to before. Iām okay with waiting as long as my chicken isnāt raw. Would come by whenever Iām at Macquarie again.
Please keep cutting boneless pieces to bite-sized! Kids loved them small.
The Bulgogi and Snowing Cheese are delicious and we love the Tornado Potato and cheesy sticks!
Sometimes the sauce/powder isnāt mixed well, especially during busy times (understandable but a bit disappointing when the store isnāt busy). We very much try to avoid peak hours when we can.
Thereās also inconsistency with how much mustard sauce we get with the Original chicken when eating in-store. We might try the double freaking hot sauce on our next takeaway!
Yummy Korean fried chicken with lots of variety of flavours! My favourite is the snowing cheese flavour. Service is great and fast. Lots of Korean styled items, such as tornado potato and soft serves.
