The butter makes a beautiful crater in each pancake. The pancake can absorb an infinite amount of maple syrup and it still manages to remain fluffy and light. My friend compares this experience to “sky diving”. On a Sunday morning, the place is packed with people but the service remains to be fast.
The best Pancakes I've had in Sydney! Devil's delight is definitely worth a try if you're a milk chocolate fan! The food on the other side is quite ordinary! The pizzas were okay and the potato wedges were okay too! also keep in mind you have to pay extra for sauces on the side with the wedges which is something i don't agree with completely! Good if you're just going for the dessert!

We had the chilli chicken crepes and the blueberry pancakes. Both were delicious. More than Enough for two people.

My first time eating here and I ordered the hot n troppo pancake, tandoori pizza, chicken & mushroom crepe and chips with aioli.
☄️chips + aioli : so good, portion was good, not too much but not too little & the sauce was so nice!
☄️mains:
- chicken & mushroom crepe was pretty nice!! It tasted really familiar but I can't tell u what it was but it was such a light dish that I'm not sure if it was worth $16
- tandoori chicken pizza : we waited quite awhile for this to come out to us, it came after everyone finished eating their mains and dessert too!! However when it came out, it tasted so good! I would recommend this! It had thin sweet potato slices on it, cashews, the chicken obviously and not sure what else but it was so good and it's quite a light pizza too, I liked everything even the crust!
☄️hot n troppo pancake: probably don't get this one, i couldn't choose which pancake but this one seemed to have everything I liked. The pancakes were fluffy but they tasted super bland without the ice cream to go with it, it tasted like my own homemade pancakes using the Japanese batter from Costco imo, the Banana was also bland, I really couldn't taste it at all. The chocolate sauce I also couldn't taste, the walnut tasted like normal but the only good thing was the chocolate ice cream & the pancake of eaten together
Overall a happy experince !! No complaints at all. We ordered Mexicana, Tapriz to quench our savoury taste buds. Loved both of them and not heavy on stomach too. Then we ordered Hot N Tropps. The pancakes were fluffy and amazingly soft. It was loaded with walnuts and chocolate cream, just loved it :) But this one was super heavy. We did order a Lemon iced tea as well. But it was a disappointment.
The staff were really friendly and attentive. Loved the place and will be visiting again soon..
We went on a Saturday night and it wasn't too busy - luckily this North Strathfield branch is never near as busy as the CBD stores.
Decent ribs and pancakes at very reasonable prices.
My favourite menu item is the BBQ pork ribs.
They always serve nice pancakes here. Every time I come here just for the pancakes. The pancakes here are always thick with rich source, really a signature dishes. The staff were nice.
Pork ribs is tender and marinated well. Not big portion, just enough. Pancake is thick and delicious, kids loved it. We also ordered pizza which is quiet yummy and lots of ingredients.
Just had dinner here, we ordered pork ribs and beef ribs. The wedges were awesome with sour cream and sweet chilli, but the ribs were dry.. The service was great and friendly.
The best place for the sweet tooth people. Pancake on the rocks at North Strathfield is huge and no prebooking required.
Friendly staff.
Potato wedges were excellent.
Have tried different pancakes and Devils delight is must try.
Drinks were not great.
I know, I know..going to a pancakes restaurant and not getting any pancakes. Rookie mistake by me. But I was so full from the dinner. Got the fisherman's catch and split the chicken & bacon pizza with my mate. More used to having cod or barramundi instead of flathead for fish & chips. But not a bad substitute, still prefer the other 2 types of fish though. Tartare sauce was amazing.
The pizza was also good, goes well with the sour cream and guac. If it didn't have the sauces, would've been just an average pizza IMO.
Overall, good dining experience, friendly staff, family-friendly place.
What's not to love about pancakes? Fluffy, warm, sweet and comforting. There is a big selection of sweet offerings & all are delicious. One of my favourites is with caramelised banana & walnuts, served with cream & ice cream with extra warm chocolate sauce. Every bite is perfect. A relaxed environment with casual service means you can linger & indulge at leisure.
Post- powerlifting competition weigh in feels got me emotional for pancakes. And where better to feed this desire than other than the famous Pancakes on the Rocks. After a fairly strict 12 week diet all I knew was I wanted a stack with it all. They didn't disappoint. I got a chocolate vanilla surprise which was a pancake of each, a scoop each of choc and vanilla and covered in chocolate sauce. On the side I got mayple syrup (cause how can you eat pancakes without it?) and bacon. My sister got a pancake breakfast too.
Amazing fluffy pancakes and thick delicious chocolate sauce. Not the yukky watery type. I gotta say I loved every minute of these.
Half a point off for the hideous coffee but hey who goes there for coffee??
Absolutely love their apple and cinnamon pancakes ! They were to die for.
Also the diner vibe of the restaurant was extremely refreshing and fun.
The food and service is consistent with their other locations. There's more seating available than their CBD stores and service is slightly faster as it doesn't get as busy.
The pancakes are large, fluffy and generously garnished with delicious toppings.
Another Pancakes on the Rocks, this one a little closer to home. If you’re here for dinner you really can’t go past the tandoori chicken pizza, it’s so yummy. This time we came for breakfast which is also satisfying. It’s one of those no fuss, greasy, hearty breakfasts that may not be the healthiest but does taste good! The North Strathfield location is a lot more chilled as it’s not as busy or packed as the city branches.

I love going to Pancake on the Rocks. I just love that they have such a wide variety of pancakes to choose from! The original stack is always the best to go with when you want something plain and simple. They all come with ice cream and syrup. The strawberry patch & Devils delight is another favourite.
The North Strathfield branch is the closest to me and I find that it's always easy to get a table here. Their service is quite consistent and the staff are friendly. The restaurant itself feels a little like a warehouse with booths and tables. It's not really a restaurant you would go to for their ambience.
Rib相当不错!带父母去吃不错!
Pancake有点甜,还行!
牛排千万别点!
First time having a dinner at this place, i know the menu is the same or similar to any other franchising stores...the food and dinning experience was outstanding than other franchising ones.
Tasty beef ribs and pizza, great customer service. 👍
Although the seating layout was odd, the bench seats were caged in metal fence, felt like we were eating in jail?! It be ideal to refurbish the place, definitely due for an upgrade.
I would discourage people to dine here without trying their sexy simple pancakes.I'm loving their simple pancake stacks with ice-cream.Though this dish is presented with the basics of a pancake dish, it's an intimate experience, in my opinion haha The pancakes are thicker than average but have a delicate outer crispiness that I'm loving and the inside is very fluffy. The pancakes have a slight vanilla-flavour to it and the clean vanilla ice-cream aids in the sweet touch to the dish. They also offer maple syrup, whipped cream and strawberries what not but I like it simple. It's fantastic and I hope they don't vouch to change the recipe. Great job guys!
Re-edit 4th Oct visit: just a note that I wouldn't recommend getting an iced mocha. The ice cream scoop was the suze of a teaspoon and they went nuts on chocolate syrup & whipped cream :/ I'll stick to Pancakes, my friends!
Came here for dinner with family and friends. The atmosphere here is very relax and family friendly. waitstaff is friendly and professional.
Ordered their pork ribs and Beef ribs. Caesar salads, Greek salads, Mango,Pineapple and Mixed fruit smoothies.
Food came out reasonably quick and the portion is very generous. Pork ribs are tender and juicy. Beef tibs are a bit tougher than expected. Salads are fresh and not too saucy. The smoothies varues but in general quite nice. Some are sweeter than another. Would strongly recommend a more standard recipe.
Bottom line : Great food. Great service. Good Value for money
Midnight cravings for pancakes... This is your destination!
The only time I've actually tried savoury crepes and they absolutely nailed it. The menu showcases a wide variety of crepes and pancakes and also pizzas and finger food, but I've always stuck to the pancakes. Their chocolate pancakes with strawberries and ice cream and cream is to die for if you really have a sweet tooth. It's a cozy nice place, although I was not really looking forward to eating never to a petrol station, the ambience is pretty good. The staff aware really friendly and it's pretty darn quickly service. All in all they leave a mark on your taste buds.
Kinda wish I wouldn't get carried away every time I went here. Reminder to self: pancakes are filling and you absolutely do not need to order an entree. Given a choice, dinner every alternate day would be here :)
Overall satisfying dinner. Ordered a seafood crepe, potato au gratin pancakes and black cherry pancakes. Presentation of savoury items weren't good but tasted good. Black cherry pancakes were amazing!
The food tasted good. I had the Mexican Potato Pancakes. All very filling and always too much! The service was very good. Great place for dessert and good for sharing.
I quite like this place! It's clean, spacious, and the pancakes meet the Pancakes on the Rocks standard.
Pros: Large portions, same menu as other Pancakes On The Rocks, free parking nearby, pancakes are nice and fluffy
Cons: Crepes are not nice and not much filling. Don't get them - stick to the pancakes.
BEST Chocolate Pancake EVERRR!!! Amazing how their pancakes had the right amount of chocolate and moist. They were remarkably soft but not soggy! Another fave dish is the chicken and bacon gourmet pizza that came with a generous scoop of sour cream and guacamole(YUM!!!). The other dishes we ordered also did not disappoint. Wait service was OK and the industrial infused interiors provided a pleasant ambiance.
Chocolate Pancakes - 5/5!!!
Pancakes on the Rocks has quite a diverse range of options on their menu in terms of breakfasts, snacks, lunch and dinner options. However, after trying their pizza previously, I decided that main meals definitely isn’t their forte, so I’d stick to the pancakes! You can choose either 2 pancakes or 4 crepes with each of the menu options, but I decided to go with the more wholesome option and stick to the pancakes! The Vanilla and Choc Surprise was my first pick. It’s a great option for sharing since there’s one plain buttermilk and one chocolate pancake, which means that the dish isn’t too sweet, and you get a taste of both! It comes with a scoop of ice-cream for each pancake, and eating both together is a perfect combination of chocolately or vanilla goodness that just melts in your mouth. The other set we tried was the Macadamia Madness, which I liked as well, since it came with maple syrup to drizzle over the top! It was equally as delicious, and the nuttiness of the macadamia defini
Are you looking for a bit of a stir fried greasy breakfast? Pan cakes on the rocks is famous for its pancakes, I know what you are thinking... soft, fluffy and thick pancakes smoothered in butter. Delish! But would you go there for breakfast? As opposed to the dessert pancakes? The others trimmings of egg, bacon and hash brown are not what pancakes on the rocks are known for. But they do the trick if you are looking for something slightly greasy. The hash brown is the kind where it's stringy little grated pieces of potato which is fried. Kind of different to your typical McDonald's ones. Step in if you are slightly hung over and wanting those famous pancakes Prices below: $12-15 for breakfast; Add another $5 or so for a drink Chai Latte and a Chocolate Milkshake Pancakes with egg Egg, Hashbrown and Bacon
