Review Simple & Irresistible Thai Restaurant - North Sydney

Pineapple fried rice was beautifully done (I asked them to make it spicy), smoked duck salad was a bit salty. A little pricey compared to other Asian restaurants.

I like this place especially when I'm craving for a pad thai during my business trip in Sydney. Their pad thai is good. The place is quiet and neat. Their servings are big too. I ate here solo so I have to ask them for a take away package.

I ordered through Uber Eats. Won't do it again. The pork Belly is literally six pieces and you get a "salad" where half the container is filled up. That salad is three cashews, one cherry tomato and a half grated apple! Awful! Please see the pictures to see how filled up it was. The whole thing for $18.50. Robbery.

Great Thai food. I've never been disappointed. Staff is friendly and mostly Thai.

Food was good but price was bit high, anyway was all good until when the really small-size roti came, I felt like some satay sauce to eat with, was told $2 which I accepted and then the extra large serve of sauce came...friendly service but not flexible at all.....

Must try if you pass by. Amazing and authentic Thai food in the middle of quiet place. Excellent atmosphere and nice wood furniture. We ordered tamarin prawns and prawn curry and we liked it a lot.

It's a cute local gem. Nice vibe. Very friendly service. Food portions is just right. It's a bit pricey but you can BYO is brilliant.

Lives up to it’s name! Absolutely delicious and really fresh food. We had the Pad Thai - best that I’ve ever had! And the Chili Basil stir fry with rice, it was a bit spicy and aromatic. They also do vegan options. Would go back!

We came here for a Friday night dinner and we were pleasantly surprised. Firstly this restaurant offers BYO which is an instant bonus. They serve great, authentic and fresh food- full of flavour and spice. We ordered the satay chicken, curry puffs, massaman curry, fried rice, pad see ew, squid, chilli basil chicken, roti and rice. Everything was delicious and we couldn’t stop eating it. Service could be better though.

Had lunch here today and ordered tom yum with prawns, pad thai and green curry with chicken. We also tried their garlic bread, because it's a bit unusual for this type of restaurant to serve that on menu. Overall the food were good, really good actually, and the place was also cozy, though it's a bit more like cafe than a casual restaurant. It was pricy compared with the portion. The customer service was not friendly and so pushy, which made me regret choosing this place for lunch

Went with a big work group, a bit further up the hill then the North Sydney business centre, but the hike was worth it (the weather was nice too which made it quite pleasant). It was a little hard to spot the place from the road, the name sign was very small & on a corner post next to the door, there were also flower/scrub beds surrounding the building/restaurant from the street, you really have to know the place it's there to find it. Once inside, it's a nicely decorated space, with comfy couches in the middle, it feels more like a cafe then a Thai restaurant. The food took a little bit of time & came in drips, there were a few other large groups as well, but they were delicious. Everyone thought their meals tasted great, from the standard chicken pad Thai, massaman curry, roti, pad si ew, kee mao, to the special requests for vegetarian, halal, & no seafood. The only negative we all agreed on was the amount of meat/prawns/tofu they give you in the dish, for my $15.50 "prawn" kee mao there were only 3 prawns, it was the same for the "prawn" fried rice, and not much more for the chicken/beef dishes. Overall, still a nice change from the hassle bustles of the standard North Sydney lunch options.

They have lunch specials for around $12 which are your rice with chicken/beef/vegies, etc. On top of that, for sit in diners, there is an extended menu with fish, pork belly, starters, curries and other traditional thai choices like pad thai, etc..<br/><br/>On this occasion, I tried the jungle curry which was spicy yet bland. I could taste that the chicken was once frozen and it lacked any depth. I was disappointed however my colleague's glazed pork belly looked delicious! (And he said it was.) <br/><br/>The place is a nice little restaurant (it has been renovated so looks quite fancy now) for lunch although if you weren't going for a special, be prepared to pay dinner prices. Bookings accepted for larger groups, BYO available. They do not accept AMEX cards.

Had a lovely dinner here before a show at the Independent theatre - convenient dinner spot as it's right next door! The restaurant was busy, had a happy vibe but was not too noisy. Meals were tasty, no complaints, and I particularly enjoyed the drinks. We had a lychee-rosewater and an apple drink, both were lovely (lychee my favourite). Enjoyed both the entrees and mains. Atmosphere was stylish, relaxed and functional, service friendly and efficient. We'll be back!

Relatively pedestrian meal of chicken larb and red tufu curry made little impression on me. The surroundings were lovely but i have had better for half the price.

Absolutely love it, by far some of the best Thai food I have had. It is refined and delicate, yet full of warmth and flavour. Would recommend it to everyone!

Gone Downhill - terrible attitude. Will never set foot again. I've been coming here for 15 years. During our last visit they completely stuffed up the papaya salad. It had no cashews and added thai eggplants which is not on the menu and quite a revolting vegetable (80% seeds). When I pointed out at the end the manager made up some excuse about the cashews being crushed to the point of being invisible (yeah right I've had this dish many times before) and the eggplant being a substitute for pineapple (hmm ..) and simply said 'sorry'. I told them any reputable business would take it off the bill and they kept repeating 'sorry' like a parrot. The fact that I've been going there for over a decade didn't really matter. Well this is how small businesses fail. A $15 salad will cost them my business along with dozens of my work colleagues and family which I've recommended. I will make a point of asking all of them to boycott this establishment. Poor form S&I!! You really need to get a better 'manager' with some basic hospitality skills.

Superb. First class quality Thai cuisine, consistently all round great food. Really good service in a nice feel restaurant in convenient location. A real hidden gem.

Thai Food Lover!. One word - DISGUSTING!!!!! Should have run a mile when I realised this Thai restaurant was also serving hamburgers! Do not waste your time or money with this clip joint!

The name says it all - simple and irresistible!. Came with four friends for a local meal ..... and loved it. What a find......shhhh don't tell anyone. You won't be disappointed. A must: curry puffs like you've never tasted before, roti to die for, chicken satay that melts in your mouth. Mains: we couldn't agree what we loved best! You choose - beef massaman curry, crisp pork belly (wow), wagyu beef salad and jungle chicken curry! And of course we couldn't fit in anyone ..... but we did.........deep fried ice cream - don't leave without trying it. The staff are responsive and lovely! A real secret.

Good Food. Mit, if your're criticizing the inability of staff to speak English, you should first learn to spell.... Love S&I, nice refurbishment to expand the floor and food is always of good quality for the price...

The food fantatic however the waitress that served me ciuld not speak english. I and my daughtet wanted to order the buttermilk pancakes. She said" not avaialable today no butter. " So I chose the riccota bake again she said" those two not available" so I ordered the corn fritters and my daughter the massaman curtie. That was fine however the tavle next to us a gentleman received the buttermilk pancakes. When I questioned the said server her story changed to" no bananas". No apology just avoidance and stares whilst I ate. Disappointed about lack of integrity and empathy also I felt billified as I speak with an american accent whilst the staff spoke in asian. I will not go there again.

Recently renovated you will find very tasty dishes with good portion sizes and a fair price. Friendly staff and byo make it a pleasant experience all around.
