Review Ginza Yakiniku - North Sydney

What a delicious authentic Japanese dining experience we had at Ginza North Point a couple of weeks ago! We enjoyed a set menu and was the best decision ever because we could try a bit of everything 😋 All dishes were carefully chosen and lovely explained by their amazing staff! Certainly a great option for a date night or even after work with your colleagues! Btw, we went there on a Sunday arvo and found free parking spots right across the street *win*

Ginza is a fantastic little Japanese restaurant located behind the food court at 100 Miller Street. Food was fantastic and the staff were extremely knowledgeable and super friendly for our whole visit. Japanese food is a personal favourite of mine and this ticked all the boxes. The sushi was so fresh and was presented beautifully. My top pick for what to order would be the wagyu. Whether it be lightly seared or cooked by yourself over grill. Would easily recommend this place to anyone in the area.

We had seen this place online and wanted to try their BBQ so went for lunch when my partner and I had the day off. It met our expectations, the meat was tender and atmosphere authentic. I would recommend and come back again for the lunch or dinner BBQ.

Had a wonderful time here tasting waygu beef and sampling a wonderful sake. The service here is best to none.

Highly recommended. The Japanese wagyu selection was phenomenal and by far one of the best in Sydney. All the food was amazing, fresh and of high quality. Child friendly, with children’s cutlery and plates and the service was excellent. Looking forward to visiting again.

Visited Ginza for the first time in North Point yesterday for lunch with a friend. The food did not disappoint - great cuts of meat (wish there the serving size was a little bigger e.g. 1 extra slice of meat per selection would have been fantastic). Will definitely visit again in the near future. Thanks for the hospitality.

We had a great night here and enjoyed the 9 course set menu which is pretty good value for money. The dishes are beautiful and fresh. We particularly loved the scallop and kingfish carpaccio, prawn nanban and the selection of Australian wagyu bbq platter. Definitely remember to save room for dessert, their signiture blanc mange and matcha panna cotta is delicious. Saw they have lunch specials so might come back to try them next time.

Amazing and delicious authentic Japanese dining experience conveniently located in North Sydney! My hubby and I are huge Japanese cuisine lovers and are always on the lookout for the best sushi in Sydney. We were delighted to try this amazing set menu at Ginza, a little bit of everything allowed us to try things we didn’t even know and now can’t wait to eat again! Their kind service and lovely ambiance was simply the cherry on top! Love love ❤️

Ginza northpoint offers a premium selection of M9+ Wagyu Beef and fresh sashimi. Now you can travel to Ginza without leaving Sydney! 😉

Ginza is a much needed addition to the dining scene in North Sydney, particularly for modern Japanese dining. . Fresh ingredients are certainly the highlight – raw scallops, thinly sliced and presented in the shape of a flower, are so sweet and silky that it hardly feels like eating raw seafood.

Impressive Japanese food in Sydney, good environment and friendly staff. Two person order salad, tempura, sushi and sashimi platter and one wagyu platter.. and 2 desserts. The good are fresh and yummy with the reasonable price(; and the portion is good for 2 people. Add it into my favorite restaurant list. Definitely would come back for lunch or dinner.

Came here for a Saturday night dinner. Was impressed by it’s fabulous food came with Knowledgeable service. This place also pays great attention to detail from the table settings to the presentation and explanation of the courses by the friendly staffs was definitely spot on! Great variety of fresh sashimi and sushi sets for good value of money. And the high quality wagyu beef just melted straight in my mouth...Yummz....
Overall it was a wonderfully dining experience! We can’t wait to come back to try the rest of your menu:)

Came here for lunch and had the yakiniku lunch set for $30pp. Good value for money as it came with 3 choices of meat, veg or sashimi as well as a small dessert. We all picked 2 meats and sashimi plus sushi options which were all fresh and tasty. Great portion size, we were all very full at the end. Would come back here for lunch again.

Pleasant environment, friendly staff.
Two person, ordered one sashimi platter, one wagyu platter for 4, one plain udon, one avo baby roll(8 pieces) one miso cod main and dessert for two. We finished them all. Everything’s great
A bit pricy but worth the money
Definitely will visit again.

Definitely more a 3.5 than a 3 - give us back half points zomato!

Anyhows, beyond just a yakinku place there was plenty on offer and honestly we couldn’t decide so we settled for the set menu $99. So to cut a long story short, everything was acceptable. This wasn’t like great food that would have you raving to your friends about but it meets the expectation of where you are and what your paying for. It’s all about the produce here and look while it wasn’t the best sashimi and oysters it’s good enough.

Highlights are obviously the beef. The local wagyu vs the Japanese wagyu definitely keeps things very interesting and something first timers have to try out. Like it’s quite understandably baffling for someone to see $48 for 100 grams of beef but obviously once your try the pieces side by side you can tell the difference and know why your paying a premium. Let alone they also Hida beef which is so many leagues higher - in Chinese “Hida” is kinda loosely to Flying Rocket...no idea why or how they came up with it but it almost tastes like it could give you wings...

So overall it’s a pretty nice place, it’s got a very strong local competitor so idk?

We definitely wish you well!

Such good quality. Best wagyu beef in Sydney. Although it’s a bit of pricey, it’s definitely worthy. Definitely order karubi which is the most tasty Parton beef.

Very nice place! This restaurant can provide you with a good environment to enjoy your time. Deluxe sashimi is definitely my favorite! I also recommend Japanese wagyu platter, so delicious.

Instead of only trying its Japanese wagyu platter which is a must-order dish, its delicate Sashimi dish is also highly recommended.
Especially the Sashimi platter shown in the second pic, that is such a delicacy, as beautiful as pieces of crystal.

Newly opened but has come my favourite Japanese YAKINIKU restaurant already not only by its imported Japanese high grades waygu but also by the taste of rest of the menu including sushi and dessert, it's a shame that not many have found this place though

A new Japanese bbq restaurant opened recently. Good place and yummy Japanese food, the lunch set is fantastic. It is definitely a nice restaurant.

The most premium Japanese Wagyu I ever found in Australia, MB 12+ for sure!!! Actually better than what I had in Japan a few years ago. If not sure what to choose just order the Japanese Wagyu platter for main, not cheap, but very good value considering the grade and weight. We ordered a special thin cut sashimi, a sushi platter, a Japanese Wagyu platter, and 2x300ml sake (warm and cold), good for 3 men to share, finishing with tofu desert.

Lovely environment & amazing food😋 feeling like in Tokyo. Highly recommend the Usuzukuri, Sashimi Platter, and the Tofu Pudding desert. Of course must try Japanese A5 wagyu beef BBQ!
