Beautiful and relaxing alfresco area within North Sydney. Tasty chicken salad (adds a punch with spicy flavours!) Friendly service. Nice place to chill out at lunch time.

Gorgeous little North Sydney cafe tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Enjoy your coffee overlooking the garden and water feature 🌿 The coffee is reliably good, and the menu is varied. They also have a selection of baked goods, perfect for an afternoon pick me up.

I'm a local who comes on weekends at least once a week as I live within a few mins walk away. It took me only a few weeks to decide this place will be my go to cafe. The space is quite unique in North Sydney with a nice outdoorsy feel with plenty of greens around. Study have shown that the amount of green in a place reduces your stress levels and make you feel more at peace. I'm not sure if this is true but I definitely feel relaxed here reading news for a couple of hours each time. Although it's an outdoor area, they do have umbrellas on the unshaded areas. There is plenty of tables for peak times. The food menu looks great and very cheap compared to a lot of the cafes around the area. I've not personally tried any as I live so close. I've only had the almond croissant which is the only thing I must try when I see one at a cafe for the first time. The almond croissant is fairly average and lacks enough almond filling. They should check out the almond croissants at Chefs Palette and Maldini in Strathfield on how to make a decent Almond Croissant. The coffee is generally on point. The coffees are smooth, tasty and well made. The latte art can very infrequently be not visible and I've shown as per my pictures two occasions where there is no coffee art so you need to be aware of who on the machine if you want it. People do not pay $4 for coffee with no freaking art, especially on a latte. When they do the coffee art, it's well made as you can see in my pictures, the art does not disintegrate until past the halfway line. I use this as a measure of how good the barista is, bonus points if the art does not disintegrate for a flat white like Rusty Rabbits cafe. The everyday list price with the coffee is generally cheaper than other cafes in the area on the weekend. The only thing they fall down on compared other cafes is they do NOT have a happy hour or specials for coffee at all. This probably explains why they are comparatively quiet around 2-4pm where you would see most other cafe charging $3.30 maximum for coffee with Real Peas the lowest at $2 for a large coffee and they do it at 10-11.30am everyday as well. Real Peas is my go to cafe during the week for this reason. There is a lot of competition in the area and they need to be on top of this as a business. Price points become very important when you serve identical products. I also want to add that they may want to train up one of the waitresses there. I had my jug of water taken away from me on two consecutive occasions when I still haven't finished it. This should be very obvious but I'll say anyway. Do not take my unfinished jug away. Ever. This is really rude. This is akin to taking away my bowl of food while I'm still eating it. No matter how quickly you take away my stuff, it doesn't make me leave any faster. There is no power point available so you'll need ensure you're charged up before coming. They've also got outdoor heaters which comes in handy during quiet periods in winter as they do not have indoor areas. I want to add that they do have a surcharge if you want to use use AMEX which is another thing that can't compare to many of their competitors in the area who do not charge this fee. During the weekend, I would recommend coming given there are generally no happy hour on these days. The quality of the coffee is not worth paying as much 2x the cost every weekday which can be much as another $500 extra per year. There is always space to get your table, peace and quiet as well. The food are cheap so it's a great place to catch up with friends on the weekend as well! Edit: No update to ratings, latte degradation test still disintegrating by the halfway line.

Delicious, fresh breakfasts with good tasting coffee. I particularly like their berry ricotta dish (pictured). Their iced latte is a great choice on a warm day.

A very nice hidden gem, trucked away in North Sydney. Poached chicken, mushroom, tomato relish, swiss cheese on a toasted turkish bread construction. Simple, delicious cuisine, made fresh & quick. You can not go wrong 👍

My favourite cafe in North Sydney - a hidden gem. I have been here at least 5 times now. Coffee is good, yet to have a meal I did not like. They have a rotational soup, their sweet corn soup was the best I've ever had.

They also have excellent specials: $8 for coffee + bacon and egg bun, $9 for coffee + toastie. I wish the staff there nothing but success!

Well I'm honoured, the first to give a review to this place. And it was pretty good. Bacon and egg bun was messy, but tasty. Soft egg, brioche bun and crispy bacon. The coffee was very good as well.
