Review Ground Espresso - North Sydney

Visited here a couple of times now as work next door. The coffee is nice. The food has been mixed. I had a egg, feta & spinach wrap yesterday and it lacked filling. I was quite surprised how little was inside the wrap. It was tasty though - just a little empty. My friend ordered a bacon and egg muffin and they over heated it in the microwave so she found the bread chewy. I have eaten here before for lunch and the food was nice. Maybe they weren't having a good day yesterday. I will continue to go here and give more of their food a go.

Moved office next door. Dropped in 5 or so times. Coffee is ok, food choice is limited but not great. Decided this morning to give it 1 more shot - ordered a wrap and coffee, got the wrap but no coffee... Was told I didn't order the coffee, "small capp" doesnt mean coffee apparently (must be an off day for her).

I love a hot beverage in the morning. But this place ruins the experience, all because of one man. This one man never smiles, doesn't look at you, and barely speaks. I look for a morning pick-up to get me through the day, but this one man looks like he wants to self-harm. Day ruined.

As a coffee enthusiast, i found the coffee as average.

My order will be ready almost instantly whether it's my usual toast order (avocado with vegemite and sourdough) or chai latte when I order through an app which allows you to skip the queue!!! The service is good - especially the owner who will take the time to subtly get your name somehow and greet you by your name. The staff also know my colleague by name and his usual order (down to his milk preference). Highly recommended but only with an app that allows you to skip the queue because the line can be quite long during peak times.

A pretty decent office building lobby coffee shop. It was still pretty busy after lunch. The coffee was pretty good, a good hit but not too bitter. The service was prompt and friendly.

I got some gluten-free avocado toast this morning and it was truly awful. The avocado serve was extremely stingy with about a tsp of what can only be described as an avocado paste (mostly brown bruised avocado) on soggy toast. I ended up binning it and eating a banana instead. I definitely won't be returning, there are so many better gluten-free offerings in North Sydney.

Coffee is great, food on the other hand was a bit of a let down. Ordered a egg wrap this morning, not only did it take more than 10 mins. and this is with no one in the queue waiting their for food except for me, as i was eating through my egg wrap every 2-3 bite i would chew on a egg shell. So rating 3.0 for coffee only :).

The new and improved Ground Espresso and boy what a wonderful job they've done on revitalizing this place. <br/><br/>From switching to Campos Coffee to a new and more modern menu instead of the old "usual suspects" is a breath of fresh air and a brave and courageous move<br/><br/>Service was really fast and efficient with coffees being served within a few minutes despite the long lines. Food followed shortly after

Shocked. Miserable staff no one smiles had to wait 10min to order a coffee while a the staff member or manager sat and was chatting with a girl

Serves basic needs of office workers. Staff at this place are certainly more from the too cool for school crowd than a lot of the other food court like options around this northern CBD. Maybe it's because they dress alike and love to strike poses. Got a takeaway sandwich - all the options had baby spinach in them. A dead giveaway - no one really wants to pay for this stuff but it's a part of everything they serve up so you have no choice.<br/><br/>Food OK but nothing necessarily special.

Not at all welcoming. It's my first time here and I have already decided never to return.

Awesome Food, Great Service. I tried this restaurant for the first time today on the reccomendation of my sister and I was absolutely blown away! The food was absolutely superb! One would expect to pay a great deal more for the same fare in a restaurant. I ordered the duck leg confit with apple, cranberry & pistachio salad for around $10! If I'm in the area again I'll definitely be back.

North Sydney Hideaway.. Friendly Staff, consistent service and a great fast paced atmosphere that keeps us coming back.<br/><br/>Highly recommend their Campos Coffee, take away or dine in, the choice is yours.
