What a gem! The curries were delicious and the naan bread was sensational. They were happy to make the curries mild too. A small selection of Nepalese beers too as well as kingfisher.
We had Chicken Momos, entree platter, railway fish curry and Laal maas.
The Entree platter was not on a sizzling plate and not hot, temperature wise and it was missing the Palak Pakoda.
The Momos was ok, few were broken and could have more filling.

Food was definitely better tasting when compared to the other curry restaurants but the 3 stars were for the service that I received .
I’ve eaten a lot of sub continental food so was hoping for something special at Base Camp. There are all your favourites with generous portion sizes and great service.
Between 10 of us we had a selection of traditional meals like lamb curry, vegetarian dishes, beef curry, tandoori, roti, rice, raita
This is British style Indian food so it tends to be sweeter and milder on spice unless you ask. The Eggplant curry is my all time favourite.
I came back a week later and it was even better! Unreal! I get Palak Paneer wherever I go, and this is one of the best. Even better, they had everything in vegan options!
Regularly get the butter chicken, and holy moly it’s good! A little on the pricy side but the quality is always consistent and the portions are enormous.
One of my favourite places in Northcote! All the vegetarian curries are delicious! 10/10!
