Pastries and bread are excellent. The basque cheesecake is the best! Coffee is average.

I totally adore this place - one of the best sausage rolls and fish pies in Melbourne. Buttttt - and this is so annoying coz you need it with a pastry - the coffee is just consistently not good! The soy lates are often curdled, the regular coffee has been served burnt. The batch brew is nice though! Go here for literally anything and it’ll be a delicious time.

With a cool, modern fit out, this cool bakery in Northcote is heaven for pastry lovers. It's only small, and there is limited seating, so they do specialise in take aways; but if you are lucky you can snag a seat. With complementary water, we take a seat and wait for our food and coffees. Service is quick and the staff; though extremely busy, are still really friendly. There is only a small menu here, but what they do make is done exceptionally.

We had a sausage roll which had delicious buttery pastry and a delicious sausage filling. It had plenty of seasoning so that it wasn't bland at all. We also had a bostock pastry... again, layers of delicious puff pastry with a sweet glaze and crunchy flaked almonds. This too was a tasty treat. With it's cool atmosphere and delicious food and coffee, the faithful locals flock here for their pastry needs; which is always a great sign , as that many people can't be wrong.

You could spend hundreds of dollars and every single mouthful would be worth it - everything at All Are Welcome looks delicious! The hardest part is trying to pick what to get.

Most sweet things are around $7 and the breads around $10. But they often sell out quite quickly so best to be early!

Interesting little place. It certainly has that modern funky feel. I visited on probably Melbourne’s last hot day of the first part of the year. The place was certainly buzzing with people inside and out. This was a good first visit. The coffee was very good and any place that has sparkling water on tap gets extra marks in my book. I shall return.

In Short: All Are Welcome is a bakery, provisions, and coffee shop in Northcote, Melbourne. It is a pastry lover’s heaven, and has quality coffee to go with the array of delicious baked goods and breads baked in-house. With each bite and sip you can feel the love, care, and respect that the owner Boris Portnoy has for his craft and the community that he has built around his cafe business.

Discovered this place from the broadsheet book and was definitely not disappointed. I’m a sucker for baked goods and a good chai, so this place ticked all my boxes. Coffee was good (according to my mum who had one), so i will definitely be back here again👌🏼

I am so happy to have come across this place while travelling on tram 86! Came here for a couple of times and I have to say - it is really a hidden gem! I love that this cafe is little & has not become one of those commercialised ones! They’ve got different pastries every time I visit and they are always very unique! The staffs are very friendly too even though each time we only order 1 piece ;D

Experienced a bit of price shock but the sandwiches were stuffed with pickles and preserves, and very tasty. The breakfast bun was flakey and delicious.

Absolutely delicious. Love pretty much all their baked goodness! The croissants, sausage roll and quiches are favourites. The cakes are the bomb too.

Alert any New Zealand lovers: fish pie in Northcote! Yes, warm, smoky fish pie (more in the shape of a pastie) in flaky puff pastry. It’s a must! They also have an array of delicious baked goods, which are all a bit hard to choose from. So many delicious pastries. It’s also puppy friendly. You and your doggy can sit outside on the little bench tables, or inside where it’s warm and cosy if you are not with dog. Great little venue!

I generally pop into pick up croissants, some of the savouries (the cheesey ones are amazing!!!) and the baguette thing- which is amazing. I like this place a lot. When I do order coffee it has been fine. The owner seems like an affable, curious chap and the staff are generally pretty friendly. It’s obviously not the cheapest place- but you get what you pay for and for the quality standard it’s a fair exchange. It’s just a nice slightly ironic place with the play on Christianity with great product what can I say. I would actually give All are welcome a well deserved 4.5 but it seems “Zomato” isn’t allowing me to do this.

I've been here a couple of times now, I prefer it over other places in the area. The coffee is awesome and the food looks so yum. I tried the Morning Bun on my first visit and couldn't go past it on my second. I can't wait to try more, esp. the delicious sourdough loaves lining the window - I can tell I won't be disappointed! I'm leaving a review (I don't normally) because this place deserves a much higher rating. However, reading through the other reviews, I noticed the low scoring ones mentioned taking tips from the "Breadtop" chain and that "Fountain" tomato sauce would improve consumer experience. I think that says it all.

Nice work All Are Welcome!

Finally came here to try their coffee. It was very good. They use Bonsoy which is the best soy milk for lattes. The bread looked and smelt delicious. We were a bit late to buy their last loaf of sourdough. Will be back to buy it and more. I love the outdoor seating area

Been wanting to visit All Are Welcome for ages and finally got the chance on Boxing Day, when there are limited number of cafes open so as to not confuse my decision-making. Now I’m kicking myself for not trying them out earlier. The pastries and the baked goods! Oh my!

First time trying an ensaimada (Spanish sweet bread) and I’m hooked on its brioche-like texture and flavour. The chocolate babka was a delightful mix between a cake and a bread, and had the perfect balance of sweetness and richness from the chocolate. We also had the porchetta baguette, and while on first bite the bread seemed a bit hard, it was merely an illusion. It was crisped yet soft, and was filled with the most delicious and fresh ingredients.

Our coffee certainly couldn’t match up to the food, but nonetheless still enjoyable. The self-serve sparkling and still water on tap was a nice touch.

Service was relaxed and casual. Note: if you can’t find any seats inside or outside, take a seat on the steps outside!

Such a lovely selection of pastries at All Are Welcome! Yum. Owned by Boris Portnoy who worked in the 3 Michelin-Star The Restaurant, All Are Welcome serves up beautiful and intricately worked pastries that almost rivals (gasp!) Lune. We got the Morning Bun, Strawberry Cheesecake Danish, the Blueberry Mary Jane and the Chocolate Caramel Babka. My fave is definitely either the cheesecake danish or the Mary Jane. I was in a very fruity mood that day, and the combination of balanced jam, fruits and crisp pastry was just perfect.

THE BEST PASTRY.  So flaky and buttery and everything I have ever tried here I have loved and wanted to eat again and again.  Excellent coffee and doggo friendly.  What more could you want?

The pastries here are everything you could dream of and more. Service is super friendly! The cheese selection also looks incredible. Such a sweet spot, would highly recommend if you love bread, cheeses and pastries. Très chic.

The seeded sourdough was delicious as was our selection of pastries (morning bun, croissant, cheese croissant). The coffee was good, not amazing and the space is lovely and light filled. Loses points for value for money but I would return for an occasional pastry fill

Love hate relationship with All Are Welcome.

Love the food, coffee is pretty good. Oh my, those lemon curd filled brioche thingys.  The morning buns...mmmm.

Hate what it's going to do to my waistline.

Bit more pricey for a coffee and pastry, but there's nothing comparable in Northcote.

Great coffee!  They have taps where you can pour your own filtered or sparkling water, very nice addition.

The coffee service is a little slow and unorganised, but manageable.

Bread is excellent.  Maybe the best I've found in Melbourne.  I wish they had proper tables, instead they have simple bench seating - good for two people (casual), or just take away.

Food-wise they don't have anything vegan (except maybe some of the bread loaves).

Perhaps the best sweet pastries in Melbourne. Everything is fantastic. Try some pastries at random and you won't be disappointed. Truly a treasure.

Really enjoyed our Sunday morning brunch stop at All Are Welcome. As previous reviews indicated, seating does not accommodate well for parties greater than two though I did enjoy the area outside up the stairs (note: do not stand on the edge of the wooden fittings).

The pastries, oh the pastries. Ordered a Morning Bun and a Pumpkin, Chicken and Mole Pastie, and frankly I could live off those pasties. While I was a bit meh about it being served cold, I cannot even begin to describe how wonderful the pastry itself and the combination of flavours was. Highly recommend, but get in quick as the savouries do disappear fast.

Money does not buy happiness but food does. A bakery with awesome goods and equally good coffee. The chocolate babka is a revelation and coffee while a tad too acidic to my liking is still a great pour.

Missed breakfast so I tried this minimalist style bakery in Northcote. Two out three things worked really well. Coffee was smooth, excellent. I should have trusted my doubt but instead I ordered a sausage roll and a Mandarin brioche.  Firstly the brioche is unbelievable. Not too sweet, soft bread, candied fruit delicious. Perfect. The gargantuan sausage roll, about the size of your worst nightmare was thick and long - a real tradie special. However it was under seasoned and had a boring texture. I could only meet it halfway. The accompanied sauce was runny and chunky at the same time, eww. I would have eaten more with Masterfoods brand sauce, even Fountain would've helped.

The service is friendly and there's a relaxed vibe. It did feel like a long time waiting whilst they made my roll hot, a kilo of meat will do that. Interior super clean even with a nearly open view of the baking area. Seating looked fairly brutal nay a cushion in sight. Check the bread loafs as you walk in. They look like they've been cooked by Gandalf himself, real pieces of art. The baguettes seem positively medieval. Very pretty with prices to match though. Another cool location added to High Street - one of the best streets to eat on.

Huge range of bread, pastries, cakes and other baked goods available. Beef pie, $12, was delicious, beautiful crunchy flaky crust. Price was a bit high though because it was just a single pie. Pumpkin tart also delicious, $8, again a premium price.
Small amount of seating inside, more outside, only 1 unisex bathroom.

I've been wanting to try this bakery since it opened up & it didn't disappoint, quite possibly one of the best loaves of bread I've ever munched on. Highly recommend the seeded rye sourdough!

Brilliant! Bought a couple of pastries (pistachio escargot & something I can't remember the name of but it was described as a slice of brioche with blueberries & frangipane) last week and I'm still raving about how good they were.

The baked goods are delicious! Gourmet quality. Top coffee too. Note very limited inside seating - just 2 benches which seat about 4 in total. But there's outdoor seating which is undercover.

Edit: why does this place have such a low rating? .....can not be possible.

If I could eat here everyday I would without hesitation (only thing holding me back is the kg I would gain)
This bakery is what was missing from Northcote. A fantastic baked good store , with exceptional produce and no fussy meals. Friendly service. Have been back many times and will continue to....it's a place you don't want to write a review about cause you wish to keep it to yourself!

The pastries are absolutely to die for, or kill for when you're lining up making sure the one you want doesn't sell out. We shared a selection of both sweet and savory pastries and these could be close to the best in Melbourne. Almond croissant was a big stand out. Only criticism was that the coffee wasn't as memorable; wasn't bad at all, but rather disappointing knowing what the Everyday Coffee crew can do. Keep up the good work!

Wow! What a dangerous new addition to High St. I tried my first almond croissant yesterday (yum), and I'm already planning how I'm going to work my way through the other delicious looking pastries on offer.

My most visited bakery in Melbourne. I keep going back. Their pastries are perfect and bread is so damn good. Had a Medovik (10 layer cake) and that was delicious too. Lovely staff too

Amazing Loafs!!! The Rosemary, Olive and Lemon and the Blue Cheese and Caramelized Onion Bougasse were quite literally some of the best breads I have ever had! Highly recommended taking a Sourdough home for snacks! The butter is also delicious, and there was quite a selection of Coffee Paraphernalia.

Amazing spot for good coffee and overall baked goods. We had the twice baked poppyseed croissant, which was delicious, along with the rhubarb danish, again fantastic. The plain croissant on the other hand was surprisingly very dry and rather hard. Not entirely sure if it's normally like this, or it was just a bad day, but we were rather surprised that the simple croissant was so terrible compared to all the other great treats they had. Nevertheless would definitely go again. Lovely spot.

Delicious bread and delicious coffee. What more could you want? There’s a reason this place is always busy. Their soy flat whites are always perfectly hot and prepared quickly. And that rye bread with caraway seeds is to die for.

Delicious and fresh pastries - and a busy vibe, mornings and weekends especially. I had a croissant type pastry with nuts soaked in a sugary orange syrup, very creative and so yum!

Cute bakery. Lots of sweet and savoury treats unfortunately when I took the photo it was after lunch time so a lot of them have sold out. The coffee is really good and the service was fantastic. The bread loaves on the shelves look really good so will cone back for them. Had the croissant and the pistachio and pomegranate friand this time, both fantastic. Not the cheapest place to get treats but well worth the money.
