This wonderful little cafe is next to my doctors in Northcote. Their coffee is amazing. Padre coffee, get some.for home. I have. Why do I love little local. Because they do the most authentic Rueben sandwich I have tasted since living in New York, Yum.

This little corner cafe on the busy main street of Northcote is regularly busy and full of happy patrons dining on all sorts of delicious dishes. The baristas make a great coffee and I often come here for a takeaway.

I love the display cabinet full of yummy treats, and this time I chose a nut slice which was fantastic, chock block full of nuts and seeds and not too sweet. Service was excellent and I have always found the staff to be really friendly.

The ambience is relaxed but busy, and it's certainly a comfortable cafe to dine at; and it's for this reason that I keep returning for the fantastic coffee.

I called into Little Local for a take away coffee. The service was friendly and welcoming. All the coffees are double shot as standard!! Woo hoo finally!

My coffee was really good, not completely full which was great, and there was some good milk froth and the coffee had a good flavour.

I was really impressed and I’ll definitely be going back again. This place is definitely worth a visit.

Really friendly service and great soy flat white. The barista was even willing to wash my very dirty KeepCup for me since I didn't get a chance to rinse it beforehand. I didn't try any food but the pre-made sandwiches and salads look really nice.

Located on the busy strip of High Street in Northcote is this amazing brunch spot! The décor is cozy and neat with a lot of natural light flowing through into the cafe. The menu had a really good range and the choices were simply amazing from protein hotcakes to an amazing brunch bowl, where do you even start.
We finally decided on the dishes below;
Seasonal Mushrooms with polenta cubes, and added in crispy pancetta and a poached egg
Brunch bowl with a side of lemon and herb chicken
Protein Pancakes
Rosé wine by Jack & Jill
The presentation of the dish was spot on and we loved the vibrant colours. The brunch bowl was amazing and it was made even better with the lemon and herb chicken. The seasonal mushrooms was a favourite. All the elements worked really well together and the crispy pancetta gives it the extra crunch. The cavolonero pesto & goats cheese brings the dish to another level and it was amazing. Definitely a must for all the mushroom lovers out there.
The Protein pancakes were really good and I really liked the mixture of the fruits and mascarpone on top. This dish is perfect for when you need your protein gains, it was not too sweet and the flavours balanced really well together.
The owner was really friendly and they focus highly on serving their customers nothing but amazing brunch. Definitely one to visit when you’re in Northcote, as good food and good service tops it all.

This place makes really good muffins! They rotate the flavours daily and are always very fresh. Highly recommend the Apple, Cinammon and dark chocolate one! Staff are also super friendly.

New cafe in the crowded High Street market. It’s a good entrant that’ll help keep the established cafes well on their toes.

It’s a bright, attractive modern fit out here. It was a most pleasant spot to sit with lovely natural light streaming in from the north and east. If only you could turn on this weather and sit in an area as good as this all the time.

My coffee here was exceptional. Faultless in ever respect. Great beans handled with great respect. As good a brew as I’ve had anywhere on the planet. Service came with a big beaming smile which was nice. They applied a holiday surcharge here today without any prior warning so it made it a pretty expensive coffee. That seemed a little cheeky. Despite that, I enjoyed the experience and would happily come back.

I’ve had takeaway coffee on several occasions and have always been pleased with the quality. I decided to try eating in for brunch and was not disappointed. The service was friendly and hospitable. The menu had a good range of choices. I had chilli scrambled eggs veg option and the serving was plentiful and delicious. This place is unpretentious and hospitable. I’ll definitely be back since I live in the area.

A lovely little place with nice staff. I had a latte which was quite good and my friend had a soy latte, unfortunately it was a little lumpy, the milk might have been heated too much but she said it was still nice. The brekky waffle was a real delight. Not too sweet or heavy and the serving of fruit, syrup and nutella cream was generous and delicious. My friend had the eggs Benedict which she really enjoyed. It comes with kimchi! The only downside was that service was a little slow and we suspect that Eggs Benedict may have been waiting at the pass for too long as the eggs and ham were cold, it was still good though! Despite a couple of hiccups, would definitely recommend this place for their coffee and food! Very convenient to get to, too. They're pretty much next to the 86 tram (stop 32) and walking distance from Northcote Station.

Great selection of sweet treats and lunch items. Had a red velvet lamington which was AWESOME! Unfortunately some of the items in the fridge (on back wall) were out of date (by 2 months) too. But will definitely be back for lunch sometime!

Nice little cafe with friendly welcoming staff and good tunes playing. Serving Padre coffee, the single origin espresso was balanced and smooth, not sure of it's origin. The menu is full of staples with a twist with a few items that sounded interesting. Today we had the Breakfast Burrito and Benne both were nice. Overall a nice experience.
