Review Argo On The Parade - Norwood

Kenny W
Huge variety of food and drinks available to cater for almost any dietary requirement. Portion sizes are generous and relative to what you pay. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and so popular don't be surprised if you have to wait for a table. Can QR order directly from your table and sit back looking over parts of the kitchen to watch the magic happen.

Came here for lunch. There was a huge variety of options on the menu and so many could accommodate for different diets. The place itself is clean and has both indoor and outdoor seating. Very cute aesthetic. Lots of parking available down the side streets. It’s very convenient that there are QR codes on the tables so you can order while seated. The food didn’t take long to come out and the staff were friendly. The flavour of my salad was also nice and fresh, I would highly recommend this place and I will definitely be back 😌

Argo’s has one of if not the most extensive menus in Adelaide, possibly the world ~ you’ll definitely find something to suit whatever you want to eat or drink and most of it appears to have a healthy or nutritious flare to it. There’s almost always a queue but the team do a great job at seating people and clearing tables promptly. The menu is all ordered and paid for via QR code and we did observe that it caused some issues with people who wanted alternations to their dish and the kitchen - lesson learned - don’t be fussy.

Argos is a well run and up-kept establishment with a large selection of food. When we entered the establishment, it was bustling and we were greeted by a friendly, enthusiastic staff member. Myself and a friend had ordered off the breakfast menu, which was a large meal at a good price and reasonable portion size. Great quality ingredients provided a fresh taste and an amazing dining experience. This is a very special hangout spot for me on the Parade!

🏠: @argoespresso 📍: The Parade, Norwood, Adelaide 📝: My favorite brunch this trip to Adelaide. Absolutely love Argo On The Parade. So overwhelmed by the large range of menu options here, and you can customize nearly EVERYTHING. Definitely going back to try their other menus next time. ❤️: We got a range to try. My favorite was, of course, the Apple Crumble French Toast. Brioche French toast topped with whipped maple butter, baked cinnamon apple, biscuit crumble, creme patisserie, vanilla ice cream, mint, lime sugar and dehydrated apple. Literally heaven 😍.

By far one of the best cafés in Adelaide! Staff are polite and friendly. Food arrived on time with fresh ingredients and tasted great. Coffee is a bit pricey but tastes great. Meal variety is great. You need to have some basic mobile skills to order your meal as they use QR code for ordering as their preferred options. Lowlights: there's a surcharge for all credit cards. Absolutely recommended cafe in the Parade!

A lovely establishment! Even on gloomy days this place shines! Such an amazing menu, trust me they have something you've never had before. I had bacon and egg dumpings for breakfast! Best idea ever! They also literally have magic coffee! Thank you so much for a lovely morning before work! We will have to come back lots so we can try the whole menu!

What an amazing place! I took my son there for a quick bite and both meals came out quick and were extremely delicious. Also, make sure you say "hello" to the parrot! We will be back.

Argo’s is known for their elaborate menu as there are so many options. I went for the classic smashed avocado. To add eggs, bacon or haloumi was about $4 each so I opted for haloumi instead. My smashed avo dish was really average, there was way too much beetroot and the bread became soggy. I actually didn’t finish my meal.<br/>The others at my table weren’t very stoked with their meals either but the experience and atmosphere was nice. <br/>I’ve always found Argo’s a little overrated and overpriced.
Pinch Of Bacon
This was a lovely find! The food is amazing!!!! Their coffee and tea are also really great! Love the bird aviary on the way to the toilet - especially the parrot that says hello!
The Sassy Foodie
I’ve eaten here a few times in the past as it was quite hyped up by other people, so I wanted to try a few different things on the menu. I have found that it can be a little hit and miss depending on what you order. Today, I ordered the fries with aioli to nibble on before my breakfast came out (Argo Big Brekky). The fries were delicious and crisp and complimented well by the dipping sauce. The breakfast was overall average, with some parts being better than others. The scrambled eggs could have used some more flavour and the bacon could have been slightly more crispy. I think this place is very busy usually (expect to line up) cause it’s got a variety of brunch foods with dare I say (hipster vibes 😎)! <br/><br/>Overall decent food, good vibes, with decent interior. Give this place a go if you’re on the parade!

Argo never ceases to amaze me. The food is always fantastic. The menu provides a large variety of food and caters for many dietary requirements. The wait for food can be a little long but its definitely worth it.

Argo is our regular. Great service with great team. Perfect location even though not always lucky with parking. Sometimes need to wait but that's only during peak hours. Food is always great and lots of options on the menu.

Have been wanting to come to Argo for ages. It’s reputation proceeds it. I wasn’t disappointed. The place was absolutely pumping. OMG! The food! No wonder this place is always packed. I actually can’t wait to return. The menu is extensive including an amazing array of well thought out drinks. There is clearly a passion here for great food and a level of service rarely seen in Adelaide. Well done Argo!!
Full Time Wholesomeness
Sunday brunch at the Argo. Floral deco, friendly hosts, elegant dining environment. First brunch experience in Adelaide but definitely a must try place! The food portion is big, never need to worry for share with your friends as there are so many options available. The food was made with love and care. Usually takes 20 minutes before it is served. Heard there is a big chattyparrot but sadly missed out this time. Will come back next time in town!

I was looking for a place for a brunch then i found this place. Their seating area was amazing.<br/>And they have lots of options from burgers to smoothie bowl.<br/>I had eggs on toast and coffee.<br/>Food was great but I think service may be little slow.

We were driving around Adelaide looking for some good brunch places & came across this place because of its good review.. there was a lot of seating inside in front & in the back of the cafe.. we had some egg on toast & their smoothie hemp bowl, the hemp bowl was chilled & had some nuts on top as well as all the superfoods that was part of the bowl.. the smoothie bowl was one of their popular dishes there as I saw a lot of people ordered it as well.. essentially it was a smoothie bowl and you could choose your own flavour & choose your own toppings.. the eggs on toast was basic and coffee was alright..

Awesome ambiance, huge healthy menu, Argo on the Parade did not disappoint. Ordered the smashed avo and the addition of the beetroot, not necessarily a norm moved the dish from yum to delicious. Love it! Added a sweetness to the dish that just made it special.

Great Acai Bowl, Great Atmosphere, Busy Cafe. <br/><br/>During my weekend visit, I decided it was time to suss out what the Adelaide breakfast scene had to offer.<br/><br/>After receiving a great recommendation, I decided on Argo. <br/><br/>A very busy cafe, with many tables being filled and emptied constantly! The menu offers a great range of breakfast items with a fantastic choice of smoothie bowls. <br/><br/>Naturally, I ordered the Acai Bowl with a side of their organic peanut butter. It came out in a gorgeous heart shaped dish and looked fantastic. Unfortunately, the other dish we ordered was delayed and only arrived after I had almost finished. However, the staff were kind and apologetic for the inconvenience. <br/><br/>Overall, a fairly great breakfast and would visit again! The coffee was also a memorable positive.<br/><br/>✅ Outdoor Seating<br/>✅ Menu Caters for Everyone<br/>✅ Great Food Presentation <br/>✅ Friendly Staff<br/>

Not bad, very loud and very busy which not a bad thing<br/>Service was a little slow but the food was great.  <br/>I can see why people have suggested I come here

Food is great. However the quality of service varies at times. When you are lucky enough to be served by really nice staff, this place worths five star review without doubt. When you bumped into staff with “interesting” attitudes, it makes you question a lot. For example I waited for my salads for about half an hour today, naturally I went to check with a staff whether my order has been sent through. The staff I asked to said: “these usually took that long to be made, they should’ve told you at the counter.” Well, nobody told me that. This is still understandable, the place was busy when I walked in, one can’t expect people to be very patient or to be able to remember everything. Although last time, a staff poured juice over my table which then drizzled on my pants, I didn’t even get a “sorry”. He just went “I’ll go and get another one for you”. My husband and I got really upset as I paid a lot for the pants and I really liked them. It was the other female staff who came and saved the day by cleaning my table, apologizing to me even though this was not her fault at all, and ensuring me that freshly squeezed juice don’t tend to leave stain.<br/>So, like I said, the matter of “luck” does play a very important role at this place. I wrote this much simply because I really love Argo, and sincerely hope some not well trained staff member doesn’t ruin it.

Drinks came at vastly different times, food took forever, asked/paid for gluten free bread but was given normal bread. The Ottoman was average, was expecting more middle eastern flavours...

How can you go wrong at Argo? The food is great, their menu is so extensive with variety to please everyone and the service is always friendly and efficient. I love that they cater for everyone and at anytime of the day. It can be a little noisy inside at time but that’s because everyone is busy catching up at this perfect spot to do so. Love their breakfast menu and selection of specialty lattes as well as the take away cake and sweet treat options.

Oh Argo, how I love you! Definitely in the running (close to the top) for my favourite place in Adelaide for breakfast. It's always so busy on the weekends, probably because its partner in crime, Argo on the Square is inconveniently shut Saturdays and Sundays..... But the chocka vibe gives this place its character, and I'm not sure the staff could move any quicker and still maintain the smiles and the quality of service that they do (always tip worthy). The tofu scramble is divine, as is the vege plate. Have received many a snapchat singing the praises of the waffles and smoothie bowls. Plus the smoothies are a hit, always filling, unique and delicious! Love, love, love your work guys, just keep doing exactly what you're doing. Highly recommend to all.

The ambience at the place was really good, went out with friends. Booking is essential on weekends as you may experience slight wait for tables and delay for your meal to arrive. Plenty of parking on the side street.<br/><br/>Dishes we ordered were two smoothie bowls, one was passionfruit pinna colada and second one was a berry one. However, both tasted quite similar. At the same time one of my friends bought the waffle. The waffle was yet again disappointing as it tasted more like flour than a cooked waffle. The icecream was very tasty which helped us ignore the waffle in between, then icecream isnt enough; as the waffles were highly disappointing.<br/><br/>I loved my smoothie bowl and manger to finish it, the serving is generous. Would have loved to rate the place higher, but can't.

Breakfast of "Benny-as-you-like-it Haloumi" was good but the flat white was lamentable, and service was... /brusque/. It felt a little like I was in the way just being on the premises. I dropped in here after an eight hour overnight drive from Melbourne because the reviews were overwhelmingly positive. I'm not entirely sure what all the fuss is about.
Lawrence Pelekanos
Awesome breakfast. It was truly worth the wait! Eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was crisp, the bread was fresh. Excellent vibe overall. The staff were super friendly and courteous.

Absolutely love this place. Biggest range of option from traditional breakfasts to smoothie bowl brunch, juices, largest cake cabinet and sandwiches and lunch options + fantastic coffee. Staff are lovely and the decor and atmosphere are great.
Fitmar
Really wanted to rate this place 4.5 but there is no half scores. Argo serves up fresh and healthy food that leaves you feeling full and content with your meal. Service is great and pricing isn’t to bad. The only thing stopping it from receiving full marks is how often you need to line up for 15 minutes or so on weekends and how sometimes food service can be slow but this is all due to the popularity of the place which is 100% saying something.<br/>Would recommend the Argo special salad the lamb is amazing and my favourite juice is coco loco!

Argo on the Parade is one of Adelaide's highly rated cafe and it is no wonder why. It is located in Norwood and for the few times I have been, it is always busy. It does not matter if it is on a weekday or the weekend. On the few occasions we have been, the waiting staff are consistently friendly. This is a must for me as it sets the mood to a good dining experience. It is a very cosy cafe with pros and cons depending on what you are after. If you are looking for somewhere to have a private conversation then you are in no luck in this place. The tables are very closed to each other and you can hear the conversation on the next table, you might as well join in. Since it is such a popular cafe, space is pretty limited hence the closed proximity. Anyways, once you get greeted by the wait staff, they usually sits you on a table and when you have picked the meal that you want, you have to go to the counter and order. We had the shakshouka a couple of times now and that has been consistently good. The Shroom was good. Also the Vege Stack was delicious. But shakshouka is still my favourite. Only downside, they don't apparently serve it on the weekend. The portions are massive, so if you are not a huge eater then you could share a meal with a friend. They are pretty accommodating if you say so when you are ordering. Matcha latte was pretty bland and I didn't get the matcha hit that I was looking for. Skinny flat white was also ok. I can't say that it is a favourite of mine though. I hate to admit that I can be a coffee snub at times but living in Melbourne before where you get spoilt for coffee choices you appreciate a good decent coffee. I do recommend this place and since we live nearby, we will definitely come back to check their extensive menu yet again.

Coming on a public holiday, the place was noticeably busy and for good reason! It didn’t take long to be seated at all and the wait staff kindly let us know that food would occupy a 35 minute wait due to how packed the establishment was. Food and drink definitely didn’t take that long to be brought out and it was a treat! Pictured is the Giuseppina.
Caro
SO many menu options- vegan, vegetarian and meateater friendly.<br/>We had the vegie stack and meatball shakshuka. Both were delicious and generous. Drinks were also interesting, with lots of different flavour combinations.

Argo has got to have the biggest menu in adelaide 😂 but it’s fabulous for all different diets! I noticed they have fodmap friendly drinks which is beneficial for me! Anyhow I wanted to let you all know that the cocowhip is amazing!!!

Yummmm!!! Great service!!! Super busy, meals were quick to come out, a lil pricey, however super tasty! I seem to go back to Argos again and again, and they continue to bring the goods!

Arrived to Adelaide and saw this place highly rated on Zomato. Nice ambience and super busy. <br/><br/>Got a table near the kitchen. We sat down and the first thing we saw on the wall next to our table was a big cockroach! Called a waitress, who called someone else. Another waitress came took the cockroach, dropped on the floor, next to our table, and immediately step on it. <br/><br/>She ended by saying: probably it was more scared of you guys that you were of it. I was more scared of the kitchen!

Amazing food ordered a falafel bowl and was so amazing other people were jealous but finished it all plus a drink, would definitely recommend this place to anyone but keep time available as it gets very very busy so that how you know food is fresh

You will struggle to find a better cafe this side of the city. Very stylish setting, quick coffee service. Great selection of fresh and beautiful food. Plenty on the menu for everyone. Every time we visit Adelaide we will have 2-3 breakfasts here.

Came here on a busy Sunday for brunch (but let's be honest, this place is always busy), but we waited for less than half hour to be seated and it is so worth the wait. The smashed Avo was just deelish! Everything is sustainable ingredients and flavours that make everything u love about food dance in ur mouth!! Atmosphere is bustling, value for money is worth what ur getting and service is polite and efficient. If u want healthy delicious options this is the place for brunch. 👌👌<br/>

So I have been told that you have to be local to know where the hidden gems are in Adelaide.<br/><br/>Yet I have been here less than 24 hours, and bam! The menu just keeps going, a large coffee menu, a kids menu, a lab menu? A weekend menu? Where does a newby like me begin?<br/><br/>Either way it's fair to say that during my stay in Adelaide I will be returning. The produce was just incredible and there was so much on my plate I have no idea how I could contemplate finishing it. Though I did truly try.<br/><br/>Great service and atmosphere. Only one request, bring this place to Melbourne too!!!
David Lew
Haven't rated a restaurant in over a year, but had to comment on this place, after seeing the ridiculous 4 rating. I'm giving it a FIVE.<br/><br/>Can't fault it, from staff friendliness to runny eggs, amazing food combos with added punch exactly where needed with sauces, herbs, etc. Every one of our 4 dishes and coffees perfect. I normally go for table service but couldn't lower my rating just because I had to go to the counter to order - everything else was just too good.<br/><br/>I consider myself a Melbourne foodie, a very snobby personality to have :). But this lives up to all expectations plus more :)
Mashedpotato
So many food options, so many people, so popular. Food and service is very good. They do healthy, including the ever popular smoothie bowls and vegan delights
Sarah
Food and coffee here are great but always so busy! Often there is a line outside the restaurant. Menu has good variety and plenty of drinks to try! Been here a few times with friends and family- have tried a few things off their menu- love their meal presentation, tastes good, portion size maybe a bit big.

I will never get tired of Argos, it is my constant go to place for breakfast/lunch/coffee catch ups. Staff and service is simply amazing and absolutely beautiful food. I'll forever be a customer!

Argo's has great variety! The quality of the food and customer service is always top notch and the decor of the place makes you feel happy!<br/>Overall a crowd pleaser <br/>Pros and Cons:<br/>Pros<br/>- Variety<br/>- Healthy<br/>- Friendly<br/>- Great Vibes<br/><br/>Cons<br/>- Very busy<br/>- Sometimes menu items aren't available<br/>- Expensive<br/><br/>'We ordered the Macro Bowl, Eggs Benny, and Chocolate Waffles'

Went here for breaky and everything was great! I ordered the eggs benny with salmon/goats cheese which was very tasty + the bread was really good. Very extensive menu for both food, coffee and juices, took a while to decide what we wanted. Will be back for more as there is so much to try. Food came out quickly also even though the cafe was very busy.
Aisling Murray
Great selection of breakfast, brunch & lunch options- especially vegan and vegetarian.<br/>The smoothie bowls, smoothies and juices seemed very popular, although we didn’t get any.<br/>Really huge breakfast portions!
Kate
Beautiful spot on the parade and delicious meals! Everything from vegan options to delicious deserts, it is definitely my go to! The staff are lovely and provide blankets on cold winter days. You really feel comfortable.

Waited around 20mins to be seated. So many people here. I would rate the food 10/10, sizes are huge!!!! I've ordered Poke bowl, Juice, while my friend ordered The Shroom with egg and Berry Me smoothie. We both shared a small one Sweet Potato Wedges with Hummus. I love Sweet Potato Wedges, so good!!!! We ended up finishing all of it! <br/><br/>However I would rate the service 8/10. They take my order so long, and they served a man with Poke Bowl but actually that's my order because I came first. <br/><br/>Overall experience is 4/5. Wanna give 5 but not for my Poke Bowl service this time.

One of the best cafes in adelaide. A variety of food for the health conscious. Only downer is its always so busy that you have to wait to get a table!
Foodie Adelaide
This place is great, always consistant with quality and quantity. Would be great if staff weren't as snobby, they won't get you extra plates etc when you ask.
Eve
This used to be one of my favourite places. I bring all of my friends here, but I won't any more. I know they're always busy, but a little customer service wouldn't go astray. Took ages to get my friend and I with a pram in to a table, so I stood in the line while the wait staff walked straight past me several times without acknowledging me, to show people behind me in the line, a table. <br/><br/>Got in. Ate. Food is becoming average. The menu is too big. <br/><br/>Finished our meal, and there is the waiter, hovering like a seagull as we stand up, to clear the table, and clears the water before I get to drink it. Just settle down people!<br/><br/>I'm not planning on coming back here, and I won't be recommending it to friends anymore. <br/><br/>Sorry Argo. You've lost a customer. Well, several actually.<br/><br/>

My fiancé and I decided to have breakfast here after hearing all the hype but unfortunately that's all it was! Upon entering we could not be given a seat so we had to wait which we didn't mind, we ordered our food and after a very long wait we received our meals (which again was understandable for the busyness). I had the big breakfast and my partner the waffles, the food was nice but nothing spectacular for the price. If you do want to go here I suggest going when they are not busy as they have crammed a lot of tables inside so you are sitting very close to other people. All in all, we were happy with the food however the price, busyness and it being crammed let it down.
Seng Kiat Lu
This place is wondeful for a weekends breakfast or brunch if you dont mind a little queue for table. The coffee is fine and the menu have some interesting choices to stimulate your taste palette.the waiters/ waitresses are helpful and made a meal here a joy.
Ttsia
Food are nice and recommended. Definitely a very beautiful place for breakfast. But always busy with a lot of customers. Love the food we ordered but not the tumeric latte.
Shazzamataz
I remember the time when Argo's was a little deli on the cornera next to Sammm's fish shop... it looks very different now, all bright lights and food behind glass a la David Jones Foodhall. However what it lacked in atmosphere and poor service it did make up for with the smoothies and ginger juice- delicious! They have a massive menu and would definitely grab a takeaway smoothie again but with other cafe's on the Parade The concensus was to go somewhere different for sit in. Worth a visit though, and obviously very popular with queue's out the door
Super Soba
Loved the endless amount of choices on the menu. Ordered two smoothie bowls, the nutty banana and the viva brazila. Also had the Truffle burger with sweet potato wedges and the soup of the day. Everything was delicious but the highlight had to be the sweet potato wedges. Took a bite and instantly wished we had ordered more.

Argo's meals are absolutely fantastic - delicious. Portion size is great. Tasty and never had a bad experience with my meal specifically. <br/>Argo's is crazy busy, especially on a Sunday morning of Public Holiday. The line is usually out the door and around the corner. <br/>The last two times I have been there though, I have been a little disappointed with the service;<br/>(1/2) the first out of two visits, my three friends and I ordered meals, they all came out sporadically and we had almost finished the meal before the next one came out. We had to remind staff not to forget our drinks. Wait time for meals was over half an hour. <br/>(2/2) the last visit, my partner and I went. We waited half an hour for our meals. I ordered entire sweet potato wedges and drinks. His meal came out first, 10 minutes later my drink came out. I went in to remind them about my meal and my partners coffee. My meal came out 10 minutes after my drink. My partner had finished his meal by this time and had to go in and remind them about his coffee. Then, when I had finished, we realised they never brought out our entree so we had to have that takeaway which ended up just going in the bin. <br/>Understandably they were under the pump however if you're unable to provide on time service without forgetting items and bringing meals out half an hour apart then maybe downsize your maximum tables as you obviously cannot cater to them. Dissappointing, however due to their quality and size of meals I will go back and give them another chance.<br/><br/>Update: I went back again recently with one friend, 20 minute line up but fair enough. That was our choice to wait that long because the food is great. Finally get in and order. Waited 40 minutes for my meal and again, my meal came out about 15 minutes before my friends. As much as the food is fantastic, I can no longer justify the wait time and the meals coming out so separately.

I usually go here after hikes or a gym session and want to continue to pretend to be a health freak. They have such a massive menu full of healthy options. I usually get  a Smoothie Bowl, which is a thick smoothie in a bowl topped with fruit and granola or muesli. They are not overly sweet and quite filling. I also love their deep fried sweet potato fries, which are crunchy and amazing dipped in aioli sauce - obviously not a healthy option. Their salads and wraps are also really yummy for food that's healthy. The only thing that puts me off is it's almost always busy no matter what day or time you come, during peak times there's line ups around the corner. Definitely a great cafe for healthy and tasty options.
Zoe Ellis
Amazing vegan options. Favourite cafe in Adelaide. The range of different drinks are delicious and everything is so healthy. A large range of different cakes and sweets. Highly recommend getting he tofu scramble.

It really perplexes me how an establishment like this is so popular. It is in a good location on the parade and from the outside, it looks promising. It's not until you sit down that the tacky "food chain" vibes kick in. I found the food to be very average, service is almost non existent, the coffee was burnt and just tasted bad. What a let down. It's packed out with women in active wear, sporting prams. Not exactly my type o place. But if you're into this, then step right in.
Meandmytummy
I used to love this place. I ordered the salted caramel waffle this morning. And it came cold and the waffles tasted like like cardboard. Bananas were dry. I paid $16 for this mess. Gone were the days the food was good and the customer service was excellent.<br/><br/>I am never going back.

Being in Norwood we thought we would stop into Argo for lunch after reading a stream of positive reviews for this place.<br/><br/>We got there at 12pm and we were able to be seated for two straight away which reading from others isn't always possible. <br/><br/>But it is crazy busy and wait time for food is quite long, perhaps 20-30 minutes wait. But our hot drinks arrived pretty shortly. <br/><br/>I had the MJ burger, my partner had the Dangerous Hot Dog. The serving size is kind of insane, I don't know how much food others can eat but I couldn't even finish half of my burger.<br/><br/>Being such big serving sizes it makes it difficult to not only finish the meal, but just to be able to navigate. <br/><br/>It was $47 for two meals and two drinks which for the quality of meals we picked, I feel is a bit steep. <br/><br/>I would go back for their breakfast or brunch menu options and also to their juices because those things in particular people seem to rave about.

Too much and then not enough<br/><br/>It had been a while since going to Argo....like around 3 years and I had heard good things so I went to see if it lived up to its now bloated reputation. It didn't. <br/><br/>When I first arrived, I was presented with a seemingly dysfunctional menu. I just wanted breakfast but there's several breakfast menus.....less can definitely mean more. Don't get me wrong, it's great to have options but.....<br/><br/>Then when I ordered mushrooms on toast, I got what looked like.....well, the picture says it all. Cold sloppy toast that had a brown smear of something inedible. <br/><br/>I won't rule out going back...I'm sure there's other dishes that would be good. It becomes a percentage game when you have that many items on the menu. <br/><br/><br/><br/>

Officially one of my favourite café joints in Adelaide! ARGO on the Parade is truly a café like no other and these are the reasons why:<br/>- High demand (I mean seriously look at those queues at lunch!)<br/>- Extensive menu<br/>- Every dish and drink has a very unique, quirky, and distinct twist (not to mention the names you'll find)<br/>- Gorgeous decor both inside and out (oh and they have a mini bird zoo at the back)<br/>- Is always bustling and hustling with people on the go<br/><br/>There is very little temptation for me to go to cafés but I just had to visit ARGO at lunch today, and I am so glad I did. My friends ordered various food and drinks from the menu, while I ordered the Miss Piggie Went to the Market piadina ($14.50) and the Tropical Getaway smoothie ($8.50). I was a little skeptical about the smoothie when it arrived at the table as it looked super berry (and I'm more of the yellow tropical fruit type), however, it did not disappoint one bit! I absolutely loved the creamy, cool, berry and mango punch! The food came a bit late (due to how busy it was), however it was super tasty and something I would love to have again.<br/><br/>Now, this rating is missing a 0.5 for two reasons:<br/>- Expensively priced drinks<br/>- My prosciutto was tough and a bit dry (I was expecting thinly shaved prosciutto).<br/><br/>The above reasons are quite minor, and in all honesty, I thoroughly enjoyed my time here at ARGO.<br/><br/>Oh and could not fault the service :)

Had a work function at Argo, been wanting to go for a while because of people raving about it on Instagram and Facebook but tbh i don't see what all the fuss is about! Food was alright but not worth the hype
MrJan
This is an amazing place. Service is always friendly. However during lunch time it may take a while to get a table due to high demand. <br/>They have a huge selection of hot and cold beverages for the non coffee people. This time I enjoyed the Carr ot Latte - yummy.<br/>The Food - again amazing and lots of vegan and vegetarian options. <br/><br/>The only thing what wonders me, this place offers a lot of vegan etc meals and you would assume there is a general interest in animal wealth fare - why having birds in a cage??? <br/>
Laura Christie
Great food and wonderful service, I have been here a few times and it is particularly busy on the weekends, with a fairly long line and a bit of a wait for a table. Still recommend it though as the food is lovely

You'll be spoilt for choice here. Heaps of items on the menu with almost anything and everything to suit your dietary needs - you can hardly decide on what to get! Seriously in love with the sweet potato chips with aioli...

My wife and wanted to try this place for awhile now. So venture all the way from the other side of the city to try it out. <br/>I was very happy with my cheese burger even tho the price was a little excessive. <br/>My wife on the other hand got a burger minus the mango relish. When we asked for some we were told it was there already. Well we both could not see it. By this time the chicken sunrise burger was cold and still lacked any flavour. <br/>NOT HAPPY AND WILL NOT RETURN.

Hit and MissWhile the Argo menu is amazing and the food can be of the highest order, I'm sick to death of the hit and miss approach to service here - and it's not occasional. Literally 50% of my visits to Argo have resulted in a problem with item I've ordered.  Be it drinks that are so poorly made they can't be drunk (chunky latte is not a winning drink) or items missing from meals, it's incredibly tiresome having to follow up on every other order just  to receive what you've ordered and paid for.  This is even more important when you're charging substantial prices. As for the menu item that tipped me over to writing this review (straw; camels back): If you're charging over $6 for a standard drink on your menu, the staff had best know how to make it.I know the cafe is hugely busy so the occasional error can be expected, but it's gotten to the point of ridiculous.  The 'close enough is good enough' attitude is actually not good enough.  I won't be rushing back.

If you're going around breakfast/lunch time, it's alwayssssss packed! And you will be waiting for awhile! I always go around after the lunch buzz is over, that way I can enjoy the atmosphere and vibe a little more! You'll understand why this joint is always busy once you dine here. Everything on their menu is amazing! Very good portion sizes too! I absolutely love all their juices (some may say it's only juice, but you HAVE to try their juice!) also, try their sweet potato chips too. The large serving is huge! Will feed about 3-4 ppl. I got one to share between 2 and could not finish it.

By far one of the best breakfast places in Adelaide. We met dine friends here and had a short wait for a table. After being seated, the Henry was given to us and my.oh.my. is all I can say. If you're after SO much choice, this is your place to be. There were pages of choices and so many things immediately jumped out at us. Between us, we had a smashed avo with halloumi, bacon and eggs and a big brekky. We also had coffees and fresh juices.<br/>This place is truly amazing. Highly recommend and we'll definitely be back 👍🏻

This place is always buzzing and waiting for a table is not uncommon. Nice location situated along the parade, good fresh produce cooked well :)

Visiting town and saw this. Not only looks funky, fresh and very inviting. It delivered too. Food was fantastic. B and R, smashed avo and the A-bowl all spot on.

Easily my favourite place in Adelaide for breakfast, lunch, smoothies, juices and lattes.. Many healthy options and vegan breakfasts that you would struggle to find in Melbourne. Quality menu which is sure to keep you busy figuring out what you will order on the next visit and the visit after that. Put one of these in Melbourne in any suburb and would faster become number 1. Caters for all walks of life.<br/><br/>Argo on the parade is always bursting with a familiar look of females dressed in lorna Jane active wear.. It must be the place to spill some juicy gossip while getting a cheeky FB check in or a minimum 30 like Insta food pic. <br/><br/>

I used to go there when the place was slightly quieter. It's has become a crazy wait to get a table. It's a nice place with good food. Just lost its charm a little by making the floor like a canteen than a cosy breakfast place. Still worth going but I am certainly not going to wait for a table for 30 mins. Plenty of other places in the city to go to. Good job though.

Love the feel of this place and everytime I have lunch here, I get the same thing: Hawaiian Burger and Sweet Potato Chips with Aioli. One of the best cafe's in the whole city

I've been working in fast food since I moved to Adelaide later in 2014. Have been visiting a lot of places to find a good burger with some unique sauces and ingredients apart from the regular cheese. Recommended by one of my work mate, we went to ARGO. Being a vegetarian, I was worried weather they have enough options for vegetarians or not, but surprisingly they have a lot to choose from. Ambiance is quite colourful and the place looks packed to maximum all the time. Menu looked reasonable and interesting at the same time. I tried a mushroom burger with beetroot sauce, which turned out to be outstanding. The flavours just melts into your mouth and you know you have to visit this place again. :)

My favourite place to go for breakfast, brunch and lunch! They've got a wide range of things to order from their menu, which is great especially cause they've got lots of healthy options as well as vegan/gluten-free options. I tend to try out different things every time I go back but I'd recommend their sweet potato wedges because they make an amazing garlic aioli to go with it. Also, their Lavender latte tastes so good especially during winter months. The staff is also really friend, which is definitely a plus point!

After a years absence returned today to the Argo Cafe on the Parade. The cafe was packed out, with people waiting for a table outside. <br/>When it comes to food choices, amazing, nothing short of staggering, The menu options seemed endless. Eg Classic Plates, Breakfast Sandwiches, Small Argonauts Breakfast, Breakfast Desserts, Focaccia's, Piadina,Wraps, Rolls, Salads,Light meals, Hot Stuff, Burgers, Hot Dogs, Cold drinks & Gelato, and the list goes on and on. From the display cabinet I chose a very well prepared fresh home styled Frittata. We enjoyed or lunch and coffee, as we sat outside in the spring sunshine, watching the array of pedestrian traffic walk past.

Didn' t think much of the coffees but can't comment on the food yet. The place is always crowded though so not sure if this is overrated or really good. The cakes are just ok.<br/><br/>**updates May 2018**<br/>Coffees are ok.<br/>Cakes are cold and flavours just ok.<br/>The brekkie plates are humongous.<br/>The menuis more than extensive.<br/>It's always full of people though and there are huge queues to get in there.<br/>The place is very noisy.<br/>Staff is nice.<br/>

The menu here is long. I mean really long. If you have difficulty picking on normal menus you're really going to need to take your time here. Food was ok. I quite enjoyed their smoothies and smoothie bowls
Sunday Driver
overrated.......the coffee looked like nescafe and tasted like dishwater.....what blend is it? I am guessing it's that fair trade organic rubbish.<br/>my cake was dry and old and tasted like fridge......for coffee I'll stick to Buongiorno down the road thanks!
Jessie
Nice coffee but came spilt and didn't offer a napkin or anything. Overwhelming menu, glad I chose something cheaper because the food wasnt that great, decent amount of avo but the worst sourdough I've ever had. Can't really rate the service because you go up and pay/order.
Michèle Bode
Quick service and reasonable prices make this a nice easy place to eat. Perhaps overrated, However always bustling and vibrant. Some quirky menu choices, the highlight being the refreshing smoothies. Drop the expectations by a notch or two and this will be a perfectly pleasant place to fill the tank.

Spectacular, Poppy popped in for lunch over the long weekend and was not disappointed. He ordered the Truffle Oil Burger with a side of Sweet Potato wedges cooked in coconut oil. Incredible. The burger itself would have to be the best 'healthy' option burger Poppy has ever eaten. So much better than anything Grilld' has to offer. The rye bun was so soft and fresh, the provolone melted, the truffle oil and mushrooms delicious, the beef patty was lean, the pancetta cooked crisp and the special aoili finished it off perfectly. The sweet potato wedges are also to die for, they aren't oily but are packed with flavour. Always great service, however had to wait 20mins for a table as its always busy. the Smoothie bowl was also absolutely fantastic in the past. Argo rarely let's you down. Will continue to come back to this great establishment. It's a must eat.<br/><br/>- it must be noted that recently they have changed their amazing sweet potato wedges to thinly cut chips. Massive letdown, Poppy suggests reverting back to your previous wedges ASAP! Won't be ordering them again until you do<br/><br/>- Additionally Poppy had the B & R, he was incredible disappointed. Very cheeky of ARGO to use two thin banana bread loaf bums as the two slices on the dish pardon the pun. I'm guessing they sell the thick pieces separately at the counter. Shortcuts and cost cutting measures seem to be creeping in Cheeky and disappointing. Having said that the poached eggs in sugo with polpette, sourdough, polenta, chorizo and provolone was to die for.

It's a really busy brunch place on the parade. The food is absolutely tasty n. I m very satiesfied with the big breakfast. Coffee is not too bad, just a bit too milly.

This is my favourite cafe to go in Adelaide; they update their menu frequently and have many breakfast, brunch, and lunch options! They also have a lot of yummy and healthy desserts or food to get on the go near the counter! Definitely a place I recommend, the food's presentation is always gorgeous, and the food consistently tastes great. Many vegan and vegetarian options are available.
Eva
Just the best food. So, you have to wait and occasionally, they may get something wrong... I come here because I know Argo goes by ethical decision making I admire. I can be Vegan or not, mix and match orders and it'll be great. It's the only cafe where I can have a good cup of coffee and breakfast just after 6 am. Love it!
Steamrollersam
Always bursting at the seams, there's always a wait for a table but not for too long if you're in a small group of three or fewer. The service is always friendly and prompt. The menu's huge and they're pretty flexible with modifications if requested nicely enough. I tend to order the same things again and again, so smashed avocado is tops for me!

Love this place! Great variety of food to choose from and friendly service! I've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed! If you haven't been here yet, I highly recommend you give it a go. You won't be disappointed!

Every time I go past Argo's, I tend to see a long line wrapped around the corner. Today I decided to join the line and get my burger and sweet potato fix. Surprisingly, it took less than 10 minutes to grab a table for two! When you enter the busy cafe there is definitely a hipster atmosphere to it. You are also bound to bump into several women in their active wear and a couple of them accompanied with their dogs. This cafe gets some extra points for being a pet friendly cafe! <br/><br/>The Mojo burger and sweet potato wedges I ordered were delicious! The ingredients in my succulent burger blended well together and the guacamole dip added freshness to the chicken salted wedges. I would say their pricing could be more affordable ($14.5 for a burger) but I imagine you are actually paying for the quality of the ingredients. I also I tried the Lady Athena wrap and I'm normally not a fan of wraps but this one was pretty tasty. Their serving sizes are just over enough and they have a vast range of food items which will require some time to select from. I will definitely return however frequent lunch visits will put a bit of a dent in your wallet!<br/><br/>

Terrible service (because there isn't service), tasteless food and the coffee is lukewarm and tastes like water. Both meals were overpriced and terrible. I had heard decent things but this has been one of the worst breakfast meals I've ever had. Also, you have to sit next to a bunch of rude burnside mums in activewear. Shit/10 don't come here
FoodDude
Went here to morning coffee, ordered and then waited 30 minutes. Then when they finally arrived they were both horrible. They had given us the wrong coffees. They were to weak and milky. Very Disapointed.

Argo is undoubtedly the most popular place on The Parade. It doesn’t matter what day or time you come the place is always packed at capacity inside and outside. During weekends and peak times there is a long line up right out the door that goes around the corner. They are currently expanding their store to make a larger space. One side has completely been redone and the other side is still undergoing renovations. The new décor is colourful, funky and gives off a modern vibe that suits the newly refurbished place.

Another Argo trip, what can I say? I'm obsessed! Although today's venture did not live up to the last with quite a wait on a simple smoothie and burger order to arrive, the burger (the Off The Wall) was already cold by the time it arrived at the table. Not my best experience but the burger was pretty decent.

Ah, lovely Argo. Been here many a sunny day and will continue to do so. It's worth a short wait in line for a table. Service is friendly and efficient and our food and drinks came out very quickly. The place is easily wheelchair accessible and staff ensured we were seated at a table which was easy to get to. Bonus points for having an accessible toilet. I ordered the buffalo bruschetta with halloumi and a gingerbread latte. Yummy, well-balanced flavours and so fresh! It seemed a pity I was unable to finish everything (note: gastric bypass). Four for you Argo. You go Argo.

WONDERFUL. SPECTACULAR. The venue, the location, the staff, the service, the quality, THE COFFEE. All five star. And the new renovations are just perfect. The best place on the Parade!
Kate
Really excellent selection of healthy foods. Quite pricey for what you get and really crowded whenever I've been. Food is prompt and service is friendly. Located in really convenient places to stop for a quick coffee. Awesome atmosphere & decor.
Nina
On the positives, the menu and food excellent. <br/>However, the service was terrible. The food was brought out 15 mins apart so my husband had finished his meal and I was still waiting. The staff when asked about the missing food were vague, argumentative and generally hopeless. One of them apparently did go check to see where it was, but didn't think to come and tell me. When it did arrive the chicken was dry and tasteless...<br/>I was just so disappointed given as a local we would come here more often if the service matched the menu.

I have never seen a more packed menu than I have here!!! There are so many options - there are 2 pages of juices alone! Seems quite popular with the Uni crowd and you can see why. Had the chicken focaccia which was ok - the sweet potato chips as a side were crispy and plentiful. You could come here 60 times and not have the same thing twice and still be happy every time.

Purely in terms of choice, this cafe has the largest rang of meals and drinks ever assembled in one place. Three hectares of Amazonian rainforest was cleared just to pint the menus for this cafe alone. But seriously...wow.<br/>My sweet potato wedges were easily the best I've ever had and the acai bowl was equally as good (and I've tried a lot). Piccolo coffee also very good. Nice work Argo and well done Adelaide!!!
Ellen
It seems like many people, I came here because of all the hype and "recommendations". I had their falafel tossed salad, and I got a total of 2 falafels (the size of a hotel soap bar) drowning in tabule. I have never left so much food on my plate, or ever felt so underwhelmed by an eating experience. Granted, their smoothies are nice. <br/><br/>Pros<br/>- Good smoothies<br/>- Good choices for vegans and other dietaries/lifestyles <br/>Cons<br/>- Lots of prams, and mothers in Lorna Jane/activewear <br/>- Tables won't be cleaned unless you decide to sit there<br/>- VERY average tasting food <br/><br/>Wouldn't be going back here again unless someone paid for my food.
Snob
Overcrowded, average food, poor service not worth the hassle. Unfortunately it is the only cafe on the parade that serves edible food so inevitably its unavoidable, but after every visit its the same.... never again!
