Gorgeous heritage building, mixture of original and renovated facade, cute interior. Lovely dining area and great atmosphere for drinks with friends.
We hosted my father’s wake at The Colonist last year, as it was a sentimental spot for us, and I couldn’t recommend them enough! Very busy on a Friday evening got sat outside. A bit chilly no heaters on. Food was well cooked and the chicken schnitzels and chicken parmigana were very tasty. The grilled fish was cooked well and the salad was fresh.
Nice pub, nice indoor/outdoor area with fireplace. A bit sad that a Hahn super dry with a splash of lemonade (shandy) was $10 during happy hour! When tap pints were $4 .... I have never thought of Shandys as being a cocktail before :(

I know it's only a Schniter but for God sake....the chips had been on the parse for a week and the pepper Gray was that watered down it was crazy. Our other meal was a vegan haloumi that had clearly been cooked on the same hotplate as some meat!!! Really poor food!
Always a fave of mine The Colonist Hotel on The Parade Norwood. Old charm and a little quirky decor. Lovely pub food and easy to talk to each other as not overly loud and noisy. Great atmosphere any night of the week.
Excellent pub experience. Great atmosphere and very popular. Excellent variety of drinks and some great craft brews on tap. We had a few nrbbles and the quality was excellent.
