Very good experience every visit to the Robin Hood hotel...
A+...
Meals and service is always excellent every time. easy to find parking ...good value for money ...
Great steak, nice ambience. We dropped in here on a Monday night after a long day on the road, wanting something quick and sustaining. The menu has all the standard pub fare but don’t be fooled, this place is much nicer than a standard pub. I had the scotch fillet, which was perfectly cooked, tender and juicy. They have a good wine list and there’s the option of buying a glass or half bottle of all sorts of wines that normally only come in full bottles. This is great for two people who love decent wine and normally have to choose between a limited range by the glass, or go the full bottle which is sometimes more than you really need for a pub meal. Nice quiet atmosphere in the large dining room, thanks to the carpet which is so rare nowadays. A good choice if you’re looking for something quicker than fine dining but more elegant than a regular pub.
On the recommendation of a colleague Michele and myself had lunch at The Robin Hood today. He raved about the Wagu steak, turns out it was a special for last Thursday and not available, disappointing but I move on.
The Robin Hood has some delightfull dining areas, a shame that today which was a beautiful Spring day there were workmen making the outside area unpleasant (noise and walking through the dining area with building products). We decided on the main dining room which was nicely furnished.
Michele ordered a chicken schnitzel with gravy on the side which was served with gravy over the schnitzel, I know this is a first world issue but it is vey annoying. The second attempt was better and Michele said it was good. I had the scotch fillet which was well cooked, tasty and very tender. Not sure why it was sliced into a few thick slices but it was.
In summary, food was good but there were issues, decor nice and staff ok but the issues of the day really affected the experience.
Salt and Pepper squid is a very large serve and quality. Little pricey but I keep going back. Very friendly service. Great relaxed pub atmosphere.
Lovely ambiance and hospitality. I loved how the waiter brought the chalkboard with the specials written on it right to the table.
Though it was a busy night when we went (Friday), dishes were served quickly. The blue swimmer crab angel hair was delicious and one of the best crab dishes I have had. If you like chocolate, chocolate bomb would be the perfect dessert. The lemon tart was nice but I would prefer it to be slightly more sour. A deconstructed Irish coffee sounds interesting and it does live up to its name.
Would definitely visit again!
Have come here fair few time with young kids it's perfect outside beer garden quick service and food tasted really good. It's one place I enjoy unwinding and have a few drink with its huge TV in the beer garden
Victory!. Thankyou, Good relaxed atmosphere, service and food.
The perfect place to spend a long Friday lunch in the sunshine with a couple o' ciders (A good selection). The servings are rather 'Hulky' which is rare these days.
A good balance of quality and value.
Good work, Cheers!
Excellent meal!. We came here for an impromptu birthday celebration for my 1 year old daughter. The staff were completely unphased by our requests to alter the kids menu to make it suitable for our very little kids, and went above and beyond to be helpful. The food was swift and delicious, and everyone had a wonderful time. We'll definitely be back.
I was there for lunch on saturday with 3 of my friends and we all enjoyed our meals. I especially liked the service and the friendly staff who offered me good
suggestions on a healthy type of meal. I
had the prawns with harissa and
couscous. It was absolutely amazing!!
Yum! I haven't been to this pub in years- and I will definitely be returning.
Great Service & good food. After two weeks of holidaying in Adelaide and dining with the in laws at various Adelaide pubs, I have finally found one worthy of a mention.
The Robin Hood has remarkably designed itself for all ages. A quiet reserved dining room for the oldies and a funky beer garden and bar area for the younger crowd. The food was the best of the pubs we had been to and the service was exemplary. Prices were very reasonable as well. Heartily recommend it.
Had dinner there tonight. Love that they have a open fire in the bistro. Sat next to it and it was warm & lovely. Had the pan fried chicken breast. It was quite tasty. My husband had the beef schnitzel & his fries were good (prob bcos they were seasoned & salty. Perfect 4 me!). Will definitely return.
This classy pub offers one of the best dining experiences in Adelaide. Try the chefs 'deadliest catch' dish - Alaskan Chilli crab with fresh herbs and prepare to be be amazed. The entree platter is amazingly good value also. Love it.
The Robin Hood is to be commended on a generous wine list with a very wide range of wines offered by the glass (although, with such a big by the glass list I hope they are taking care to store the opened wines properly). Service was also very good. It was prompt and friendly and the waiting staff obviously work with a degree of flexibility...Overall, the Robin Hood gets a big tick – definitely an above average pub dining experience.
Visited the place with an old friend to have a bite to eat and have a couple of cold beers. When we went there, the place was just opening up for business and there was plenty of seating available, indoors and outside as well.
The dining rooms are large, cosy and the outside area is also very nice. We placed our beer order at the bar with the bartender who mentioned that it was his first day in the job at the hotel.
The food orders were sorted out at the table and were brought out quite quickly. The pizzas were good and the gentleman waiting on us provided a takeaway box for the leftover pizza.
Would be nice to visit this place when it's busy to see and experience the ambience of the place...
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Great afternoon spent at this pub in the dining room. Perfect space for a large gathering. We were a large group and food came out with no lengthy wait times. Lots of choices on the menu. Highly recommend. Service by staff was wonderful and super friendly.
Good food, personable service, warm venue for a wintry Thursday evening, $25 for t-bone steak and glass of Hentley red.. what's not to love. I am hooked! Book ahead. Thanks Robin Hood!
It was quite busy, but we got a table despite not booking. I was surprised to find an Ata Rangi Pinot Noir available by the glass. Such a great wine. Food was great without breaking the bank. Highly recommended.
Great pub for family! Highly recommended
