The dishes at Parade Thai are always quite good. The staff is friendly and attentive. Pad Thai is quite substantial and priced fairly - 8/10. My personal favourite is the dessert menu - the sticky rice and mango 8.5/10.

Modern restaurant, attentive service, good prices and more importantly lovely food. Thank you

Okay I would like to say, I would give five stars if it was for the Mango sticky rice coz OMG it was just mind blowing... However food was average tasting and my soup was very sour... but as an whole experience it was good 😌

It is ok. Needed a bit more sauce in the food. At least it is quiet. The owner seems nice

Delicious food, great service.

Went for lunch on a weekday, was busy with mostly what appeared to be business men, some of whom didn't seem to have a volume control... Not the restaurant's fault obviously. Waiter was the sole front of house staff and was run off his feet, but he was attentive and patient with our indecision. We ordered an entree of salt and pepper squid which was the highlight, so delicious and plentiful, as well as the obligatory pad thai, and massaman chicken curry and beef and basil stir fry from the lunch specials. All dishes were very nice, tasty and generous portions.

Staff service is excellent. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the kitchen. Ordered Pad Thai, green curry and the Pandan chicken. Pad Thai honestly tastes like tomato ketchup noodles. Don't get me wrong it's delicious but it's not authentic Pad Thai. Green curry was absolutely sad. Watered down and bland. You can cook this better. Come on. Ayam brand green curry + coconut cream. That's all you need. The Pandan chicken was actually pretty good.

Headed here for a quick after work meal. Service was friendly and polite. Lots of great options on the menu, the massaman curry was excellent. A good selection of entrees and mains and very generous portion sizes. No room for dessert because we ate too many mains.

I went with a few friends on Saturday night and loved it! The new place is stunning!

We had the fried fish in red curry for the first time and it was the yummiest dish we’ve had. We also loved the squid entree and Choo Chee chicken.

We went at a busy time but the staff were super attentive and helpful!

This is our absolute favorite place to eat. Food is always great fresh and tasty. The Special Garden Fish is to die for 😍 My extremely fussy 12 year-old recently experienced Parade Thai for the first time...tried everything we ordered and enjoyed it too!!

The dishes we ordered for takeaway were carefully packed. We found all the food to be delicious. The spring rolls had a whole prawn rolled in them and were tasty with grated carrots and spring onions. The main dishes (beef stir fried with basil and red chicken curry) were very tasty and leftovers were gobbled up the following day. Sauces were quite watery but overall the flavours were good.

Very let down when i found a long piece of hair in the middle of my pad thai i ordered. I had to pull it out of my mouth. Manager did not seem to care and did not sound suprised. I will stick to my own home cooking. Oil was not fresh either as the the spring rolls were drenched.
Love this place! Great Thai food! I haven't had a Thai green curry this good since Thailand! Wish they did pandan chicken!!! Pad Thai is one of the best I've had and the chicken larb salad is pretty amazing! Quick service too

Been here twice and I'll definitely be returning again! Tried some different dishes this time and they were all delicious!! The seafood dish on Chef's special was delicious! (Photo attached)
Also had their veg red curry, mince pork Larp and Thai special fried rice. I must say that this fried rice is one of the best ones I've tried!

Absolute garbage tasting food. The pad thai was extremely dry and distasteful - I even found a dead insect in the middle of my noodles! Will definitely not come back here again and overall extremely displeased with my experience.

Great Thai experience. Fried rice with blue swimmer crab was a crowd pleaser. Flame seafood offered very interesting flavour. Very fresh produce.

DON'T GO ! Worst Thai food ever, disgusting quality for a Norwood Parade restaurant. I ordered spring rolls and Tom Yum Kai soup both of which I've had many times in Thai restaurants . As soon as I even seen the food I was suspicious , the spring rolls had that look of old rancid oil. On eating they had prawn shells included and the taste was anything but fresh. The soup had a strange taste with oil floating on top, not nice at all I very poor quality ingredients nothing short of 'yuk'. If It wasn't take away and I lived so far away I would've demanded my money back
I swallowed a heap of garlic and other antibacterial substances after eating even part of it as highly suspected I may end up with food poisoning, it was that bad!

Bland. Was hoping this place would be one of those hidden gems but alas was not to be. Laksa vegetables appeared to have been boiled or steamed independently in water and then added to the laksa soup base and heated. The laksa soup base was bland thus adding bland boiled vegetables did nothing other than multiply the bland factor. Noodles were a rare species and I found myself getting a little excited when I managed to find a noodle swimming around in the bottom of the laksa. My companion and I were in agreement that we had partaken in better meals in food halls. On another note, the snail-trails across the carpet were sort of cute and added a shimmery ambiance to the atmosphere.

Rudeness!. The rudest staff!! Would never ever come back here. The cleanliness of this place is disgusting

Worst staff and food ever had. Had chicken Satay kai it was bitter and old so after first bite try to send back but staff said this is how we cook and never had complain so they refuse to take it back and try to charge full money for it and after 15 mins argument they settle to pay half price, I never seen worst food and staff like this

BIG Disappointment. After reading positive reviews we were really disappointed with the quality, taste, cost and presentation of the food. The prawn patties were greasy and tasteless and the basil chicken was bland. The satay chicken was OK but the satay sauce had no kick at all. Thai food should be fragrant, fresh, full of tongue tingling flavour and it should have some heat! 2/10 and that's being generous!

Yet another good Thai. Parade Thai is another one of those places thats been on my must get back to list for some time. I dropped in here one day for a quick lunch and was rewarded with a fantastic serve of Larp Moo - so a return was a must. Returned with the usual family party plus one adult.

The quality of the food was excellent as was the service. If I could fault anything the staff were probably overenthusiastic to take our order (our +1 was a little late) but it wasn't a bad thing (not pushy) just keen!

Entree was Larp Moo (again!), satay and spring rolls (of several varieties). Mains were Sizzling Beef, Red Duck Curry, a Green Chicken Curry and a couple of other dishes that currently escape me (note to self: if your going to do reviews a week later write notes!). The dishes are marked on the menu for heat and it might be worth warning people that they don't seem to pull any punches here with spice. I love Thai as hot as it comes and my eldest can take dishes that are quite hot too. He found the duck curry a challenge - "it tastes great dad but its very hot". If you're like me don't worry - all will be fine. if you are a little sensitive to hot foods then perhaps ask your waiter for advice!

There is also parking out the back accessed from accessed from Church Ave. Parking can be a pain on the Parade at times!

Enjoyed the green chicken curry although the white rice was overcooked and gluggy .. Although the service was a bit sporadic, the staff were warm and friendly .. The place was packed to the brim on a Wednesday night so that also spoke volumes - I would go again but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Great food! Great service!

EXTREMELY OVERPRICED. We only had three dishes, one an entrée (takeaway, no drinks) and it almost cost $60. All three dishes tasted the same.. I expect beautiful flavours in my Thai food but it was almost flavourless. Such a shame as I live just around the corner! Very disappointing.

My partner and I love this place! My partner has worked in a family owned authentic thai restaurant for many years so for him to like another restaurant so much says a lot! We recommend chicken satays for entree or spring rolls and beef massaman or green curry for a delicious main meal! One of our favourite places to dine or takeaway.
Eats Out A Lot
Food average to good. Service what a joke. Must have one of the rudes waitress's in Adelaide. And no outside tables because you don't want to pay the council a few $$$ what a moron

Great Food. Had a fabulous night at Parade Thai, food was awesome, totally recommend the pork and chicken larp and the duck dishes.

Went to a work dinner on a Thursday night, it was packed and service was slow! Waited ages to get our drinks ready, then the take our order, then to get our food. We arrived at 7 and didn't eat until after 9. The food was acceptable but not outstanding. If you are looking for Thai, there are better options out there.

Been going here for years and always return.. It's authentic Thai food with lots of flavour. Book because its always busy..

A favourite. We go here all the time because, no matter how much we try to branch out, Parade Thai is always better.

Favourites: Penang Curry, drunken noodles, the sizzling seafood, fish cakes, anything they do with duck... pretty much everything on the menu.

Loved it. Went in with my wife and friends the other night for the first time. Good food, good wine, good price. And the handsome..charming.. fun young British waiter was a 'treat' according to my wife :/ But seriously enjoyed the evening and the service was actually excellent :)

Decided to ignore the poor reviews but should have listened! What a disappointing meal. Tough squid and tasteless chicken to start followed by chewy chicken stir fry and a laksa containing the same nasty chewy chicken. We couldn't finish our meals. On the positive, the young English waiter is charming and it's very cheap. Shouldn't be too hard to deliver good Thai food but feel like this place is cutting corners with cheap meat and the flavours just don't cut it.
Casual SA Diner
Nice staff, quick, amazing aromas, good range of beers & wines. Oh yes!

Nice place. Nice little place, we had Pad Thai which was very nice, and the red curry duck was beautiful. Very nice authentic Thai restaurant would recommend to friends

Sooo ordered from Parade Thai this week and all i have to say is extremely disappointed in the food. I had a phad Thai and the chicken while it was thigh (which is the best type for the style of food) was not cut correctly which left it grisly and fatty two mouthfuls and was extremely put off! The springrolls had prawns with tails wrapped inside so while thinking it's a very crispy pastry upon spitting it out I was actually eating the shell of the prawn. Why? Would they honestly do that never ordering from there again, so many better places for Thai food
James
James. Without doubt the best thai I have ever experienced in Oz. The rest disappear in the distance. Simply superb.

I have been to Parade Thai several times now and whilst I agree with other reviews that the decor is dated I have to diagree about the service and food. Parade Thai give great service and an excellent range of wine. The food is always fresh and I would highly recommend the spring rolls (made fresh each day), Tom Yum soup, Roasted Chill Paste Seafood, Stir Fried Fish with red curry paste and my personal favourite Duck Red Curry. If you order any of these I assure you, you will be pleased. Everyone in my family has a favorite. Thank you Parade Thai

Poor, there are much better thai restaurants in adelaide. Had a chicken dish which was mainly fatty grey meat and paid almost $20 for the privilege.

Urgh.... Tried the Massaman Lamb two nights ago. The lamb was dry like road kill. The two peices of potato were worthy of a meal in a Polish prison. The 'curry' was a watery soup. The fish was.... why bother. I ain't returning. Save your dollars and eat somewhere else.

BAD FOOD, BAD SERVICE, TIRED DECOR. The only thing worse than the food at this place was the service. They need to get rid of the asian waitress - plain rude and hates her job. The other dark haired waiter there needs to get another job - just as rude as the waitress. The food - i can get better thai at my local shopping centre foodcourt for half the price. They call that Pud Thai? - all i could taste was the tangy tomato sauce. The fact that that they had free tables on a busy Friday night says it all. Never again.

After reading some of the reviews on the web site it was with some trepidation that I agreed to dinner with a friend at Parade Thai.
What a pleasant suprise. Staff were friendly and helpful, not overly attentive but I can cope with that. Food was great. We shared a dish of seafood in roasted red chili paste and green vegetable curry. The seafood dish was lovely a very generous serve of calamari, king prawns and mussels. The green vegetable curry was zesty and sharp thoroughly enjoyable.
With entrees and mains and a drink we left only $30 poorer each . A great Thai meal I will be back!
Yum Yums
Do It!. The best choice for Thai on the Parade.
Lightly battered stir-fried fish fillets (special of the day), were generous and delicious. Takeaway matches the quality of eat-in. Please try the clear soup with prawns, squid and veggies!

Won't go back to Parade Thai. Very Dissappointed, I should have checked the reviews before we went, I agree with others, we had a very grumpy waitress, wonder if it was the same one as the other people, she was blonde, they need to get rid of her, and I think it would improve. Also wasn't happy that they charged $1.00 pp, surcharge cause it was a Sunday, this should be on website and mentioned when making a booking. I have been to plenty better, to rave about.

It is like the Tardis !. From the outside, it looks like a small cosy little cafe, but once you step inside, it was actually huge. the place was full of diners on a thursday night. the thai food was good and the best part - if you order plain steam rice, you pay only once and gets endless free re-fills of rice.
Matthew
Best thai in the Nor East. Although some curries can be a little watery, the tom yum soup is the best one in Adelaide.

Specialty dishes would be the chicken with roasted chilli paste and also the Red duck Curry.
Liam
Very poor service and boring food. Staff need a lesson in manners
Alejandro
Good food, staff have a big attitude problem!

A great resteraunt all round. Great service, they don't take long to bring out your food and food is great.

Parade Thai is a Thai restaurant located on.. you guessed it.. The Parade. Serving all your traditional Thai dishes, Parade Thai is deceptively larger than it appears, with seating for about 50 people.

This restaurant has been around for as long as I can remember. Well actually not that long, maybe around 20 years. A family owned business that serves authentic Thai food. It is located on the convenient Norwood parade. The outside of the restaurant is red and white, very hard to miss.

After a long hiatus from reviewing restaurants/ cafes, I am finally back to routine with a backlog full of reviews to share. First up is Parade Thai, one of those restaurants that are conveniently located nearby but I have not visited at all (shame on me). The family and I dropped by for an early lunch and wasted no time browsing thru their menu. We were a little overwhelmed by the choices available but opted to have a few lunch specials, just for variety's sake. Tom yum soup with seafood ~ not too bad at all compared to the other restaurants that I have been to. Tangy, sweet with a touch of spiciness to it. Special fried rice with crab meat ~ a rather simple type of fried rice with not much green vegetables involved. Rice was fragrant and had a good portion of shredded crab meat tossed into it. Spring rolls with plum sauce ~ I am not usually a fan of ordering entrees at restaurants but a change is good at times. The plum sauce complimented the crispy spring rolls quite well and these
