Amazing to say the least. Great fresh food and portion size was perfect. Staff super friendly and made me feel like a regular on the first visit. Laptop friendly. I'll be back soon.
Good place to take clients for business lunches. Open setting, quality food and good service. Not too fancy, has a laidback atmosphere whilst remaining clean and open.
Went here with two kids and a friend and her baby and could not fault the service or the meals. The price is very reasonable.
The restaurant is set in the middle of a business park and is very spacious and clean. However, parking was difficult as the cafe doesn't have many spots allocated and all of the closer spots are reserved. There is no street parking.
We had the farmhouse pasta, the quack-tato and the beer battered chips.
Pasta was cooked perfectly, seasoning was beautiful and the flavours blended so well..
The duck was cooked perfectly, crispy skin and tender meat - the kids gobbled it all up and I kept wishing for more. Absolutely delicious dish and quite filling too.
The only disappointing thing is that there are no high chairs available which makes it difficult to bring young children..
Would definitely be back to try the other dishes though if I had the opportunity.
Not bad... I didn't have any food, I had a matcha latte though, a little too sweet for my taste but still nice. The people I was with had eggs with sourdough toast and bacon, the second person had bean tomato mix with the same toast and coffee. Everyone liked their food, but said one said the coffee was too bitter.
Nice place with a nice outside seating area. Food is good, although the portion, I would think, is a little small. Had the Hank Island, which is a seared calamari salad. Coffee is in general okay. Overall a good place. Will probably come back here again when I am around the area
Had my coffe and croissant...
I love this cafe as they provide me with my caffeine intake for the day.
No complain but just satisfaction coming here.
If only they are next door to my office it would be good. #wishfulthinking
If Lt Collins didn't exist I don't think I could tolerate working in Notting Hill. Their coffee is amazing, and also the only drinkable coffee around, and as previous reviews have stated their service is exemplary. The staff know most of their customers by name and know their order off by heart.
Their food is always delicious, and they change their sandwich/salad menu with the season, always keeping things fresh.
If you eat in both of their burgers are amazing, and come with sweet potato crisps, which are delicious.
They do get super busy, seeing as they service a large business park and basically every office on Ferntree Gully rd... but they will always give you a time estimate on your order, which is nice.
As a student staying in clayton, this shop is a fresh change from all the Chinese and Korean shops without having to go to the city for a good cup of coffee and good brunch food!! The staff here were friendly and the food (The New York sambo and the LT burger) we got were really good!! And we loved your sweet potato crisps 💕 would definitely come back here again
After walking out with our takeaway Latte and having that FIRST SIP, this Whippeteer BARGED STRAIGHT BACK INSIDE AND DEMANDED "WHAT COFFEE DO YOU USE!!"Â
A little worried, the HOSPITABLE, FRIENDLY manager told us it is their own blend, all Arabica.
Hang on? No berries? No citrus NOTES? No chocolate finish? EUREKA! (see footnote) Fabulous coffee, wonderfully made. Not too hot/cold. Velvety milk.
The Service was TOP NOTCH. We've been to THE FLOWER DRUM and the service AT LITTLE COLLINS from the Manager was just as good, no! better, as it didn't cost us the PRICE OF A PEDIGREE WHIPPET PUP.
Ps Parking can be tricky. Also, not open on weekends.
(Footnote "Eureka" comes from a GREEK WORD, said to have been exclaimed by Archimedes himself. No joke).
Amazing crispy chicken burger! Rang up 10 mins before kitchen closed and they made the burger for me so when I arrived 10mins later it was served right on time
Menu - Got all your faves nice and small for both breaky and lunch!
Service - Lovely Staff!! Very WelcomingÂ
Atmosphere - Awesome interior design love the collaborative tables and the nice booths out the back, perfect for big corporate breakys or lunches!!! Love the little private booths to the side as well!
Food/ Coffee - YUM!!!! Could not fault!! Recommend the smashed avocado with salmon!!Â
Dog Friendly - YES!!!! Plenty of outdoor seating!Â
BUSY BUSY!!!! Popular little morning stop before work for both breaky or take away coffee!! Perfect for a place for breaky before starting work!!! Can see it would be very popular for lunch also!! Great Pricing as well!!!
If you're looking for a cafe with a city feel then check out Little Collins. The interior is decked out with wooden tables and modern chairs. There's even a little separate room separated by glass if you're have a bigger group and you want a little privacy. I recommend booking in advance though if you have a large group. They do breakfast until 11am and then lunch after. Food is quite good, I usually order their wraps or salads and the ingredients are above average. Their beer battered chips are exceptional. Ordered a latte however and found it quite weak so I would ask for an extra strong one next time. Service is also quite good and staff are very friendly and happy to chat.
Being one of only a few decent cafes in its area of Melbourne, Little Collins is exceptionally busy during peak lunch hour so expect a lengthy wait. If your lunch break isn't a long one, opt for takeaway instead. Not only will food be in your belly sooner, but most menu items are also cheaper to go.
Is this place a blessing to the area, or what?! Just what this side of Notting Hill needed! Definitely the only decent (no, excellent!) coffee around and certainly got me through hours of classes nearby. The food is great- lovely salads, and wraps and take away options too! Staff are always welcoming and attentive and very accommodating- big kudos to them. For an outer suburb cafe, the team here are very much on a par with any place you'd find more inner-city. Keep up the great work!
Fantastic coffee, great atmosphere and service! Great find!
Exceptional Customer Service. I am on a coffee free challenge (30 days) since I have been drinking Soy Latte almost every day (1-2 cups). Last Friday, I went to Little Collins to get a hot chocolate instead.
When I entered the cafe, there was a group of people queuing at the main counter and one of the waiters (Ben) led me to the other counter so I don't have to wait long (very nice of him). Then I made a ridiculous request by asking for a 'Creamy Soy Hot Chocolate' but Ben thinks I should have it when I explained to him that I been craving for a Soy Latte. In the end, I think I had one of the best hot chocolate in Melbourne, it was creamy and sweet. Thank you Stephan for making the best hot chocolate in the world!
So what I want to say is the staffs @ Little Collins are always accommodating, nice and helpful. It's a place where not only you get good coffee/food but exceptional customer service is part of it ( I have been to some popular cafes in the city but they suck when it comes to service). So well done guys and I am looking forward to having more hot chocolate till I completed my coffee free challenge!
Finally a decent coffee in the area. Even if I have to tote 2 kids under 2 along awful Ferntree Gully Road to get there. A beacon in a desert.
Friendly service and fresh food. I usually get my take away coffee and brekky from Lt Collins (occasional dine in lunch). The staff are exceptionally friendly especially the cafe manager, Lauren and the guys at the cash register and coffee machine.
Service is consistently great and you can always expect to have a short nice conversation with the guys there. Coffee is overall good but what I find is really great is the food there as they always use fresh ingredients especially in their salad and sandwiches.
Recently they have started serving fresh fruit juice and iced coffee. I have actually asked for these before from the store manager and it is good to see that they have made it available based on customer feedback.
Coffee can be a bit of wait if you go during peak hours (around 10am, 12pm) and that's the only downside but that is normal as it happens at cafe which is around office areas/parks.
So glad to have this cute cafe in the area. The coffee is great. Staff are friendly. The food is very good but the prices mean I can't eat here as often as I'd like.
This is the best place within a 5km radius of Monash Uni for coffee and lunch. The Reuben is amazing closely followed by the BLT. Our office is addicted to the food here, matched by the great service.
Excellent service, coffee and food! CBD quality and style!
Warmth on a cold day!. Living not too far away we decided to try LTC. In an unusual location for those that do not attend the offices it was a nice suprise. Friendly staff greeted and sat us on perfectly designed puzzle like tables with a simple white metal bentwood chair. Menus provided and coffees ordered we were happy to sit forever and stare at the timber roof and gorgeous orange la marzocco. NY rueben is an absolute must! It was to die for (although could have done with a pickle). The pulled beef baguette was just as tasty. Coffee very good also. One of the staff members Daniel deserves a special mention for being always helpful and "on the ball". Fantastic little gem in the outer suburbs. Can't wait to bring the family...Please open weekends. Thanks heaps :)
Sensational albondigas wrap! Place looks great, fast friendly service. You deserve to do well. Keep up the standards and we'll spread the word!
Great hangout. This place is like if fergie and jesus went in together and opened a cafe! Food was great and came out quickly, great selection of sandwiches and salads, the waiters are pretty cool guys, and the setting is fresh (just like the sandwiches hehehe)
I'd give this a 5 star rating!!
Went and checked it out today, coffee is great and the food is amazing! Fantastic selection of cakes, salads and sandwiches. This cafe is definitely 'the next level'
Wow!. Im so happy that there is finally a great quality cafe in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, me and a colleague dropped in for a bight to eat at around 12:30 last wednesday, first impression was like love at first sight! beautiful atmosphere with decor to match, staff ever so friendly, service was unbelievably fast (important for us on our 30 min lunch break).
coffee is easily the best in the area, then theres the selection of food! oh my!
a huge display of fresh baguettes and turkish loaves & ciabatta, filled with family favourites with a modern/quirky twist, plenty of comfy tables and chairs to dine in if your not in a rush, a great selection of items made to order coming out of the kitchen, fresh muffins and pastry's everyday! and then theres the naughty little cake fridge, and believe me everything in there looks to die for!
definitely my new regular lunch/coffee spot, do yourself a favour and check it out!
Great work guys! Great food, service, and fit out! We will definately be back... Definately worth the drive from st kilda!!
