Love this place, it is my favourite cafe in the area by a long shot. The coffee is great and the smashed avocado is my favourite but they always have some really good food on the specials board. Staff are friendly, good vibe and it is always busy on Saturday and Sunday mornings!

Jack is amazing, greeting all his patrons with a smile and a kindly pat on the back. His staff are helpful, polite and personable. The chefs provide consistent quality food made with fresh ingredients. The fact that it's local makes 'peddlers' even better.
Grabbed a takeaway schnitzel burger from here and really enjoyed. Great value and loaded with heaps of salad. Good job guys
Needed a little pick me up over the weekend so visited The Peddler for some of their delicious campfire eggs. Great takeaway menu and delicious coffee!
The Peddler Cafe invited us to try some of their menu items. This place was absolutely bustling on a Saturday morning but staff managed to maintain a high level of positive energy.
We ordered:
Calamari Thai Salad - this was a beautiful dish. The calamari was plump and tender. The thin crispy coating added texture to the already tasty salad. The dressing was not over powering.
Campfire eggs - this was exactly what the name implied. The combination of eggs, chorizo, butter beans, cheese and napoli brought me back to my camping days where we would place lots of different ingredients in a pot over the fire.
The ice coffee and cappuccino were quite strong so we walked out of there feeling wonderfully energised.
All in all, a lovely experience. Now I need to peddle on the bike to work off those eggs:)

This is my ‘work day’ local. I love coming for brunch meetings, a well earned lunch break at midday, or a coffee escape in the afternoon. I usually have my two little dogs with me.... we always feel extremely welcome and part of the local community. The staff warmly welcome my dogs as well as me. It’s a great cafe for coffee, food and community atmosphere.
Loved the vegetarian options on the menu and all the dishes came out looking picture perfect! Great food, great coffee and really good atmosphere. It’s the perfect Saturday morning brunch spot!
Enjoyed the food here, with probably one of the better coffees I've had in recent times. I went for the breakfast board which was nice, and my partner also enjoyed her eggs.

Lovely cafe in Melbourne! Love coming here on the weekends for some brunch. They have a delicious breakfast/brunch/lunch menu, lovely venue and friendly staff. The Waffles Bene is always a winner for me. We also always get the pancakes to share too, they are amazing!!!

Finally made it to this super cute cafe in Nunawading! I’ve heard so many great things about it and have followed their feed on Instagram always super jealous of the delicious food people were eating! It completely lived up to expectations!
This porridge was smooth and creamy with just the perfect amount it sweetness. Loved the decent amount of fruit on top and how cute is the flower!

Honestly would love to try every single item on the menu! Acai bowl, porridge, pancakes... definitely will visit again.
Consistently great food every time we come. Lovely staff, perfect coffee and a comfortable warm vibe. This place is a 20 min drive for us but it’s worth it every time. So much better than all the cafes that are closer to home. Highly recommend 🥰

Lovely cafe with good vibes, great food and friendly staff.
I really loved the campfire baked eggs, generously topped with chorizo, chili, cheese, etc. Fantastic and unique combo.
I also recommend the Schnitzel Burger. The meat was perfectly tender and topped with heaps of cheese and mayo. Besides the savory dishes, I am also loving their chocolate brownie! So tasty and rich in flavor!

Good vibes, fantastic food, what more can you really ask for ? The baked eggs were delicious and just a great savoury dish filled with such generous toppings. The special at that time looked (and tasted) fantastic, look at the colour of that hollandaise sauce. Can’t forget the dish that put my friend and I into a food coma, the French toast was just the right balance of sweetness from the fruit, mascarpone and maple syrup. They were even nice enough to give us a scoop of icecream to top things off. It’s a must-try cafe !

This is one unique cafe, one that I would remember for its unusual menu options for a suburban cafe. One that I especially enjoyed was the chicken tacos! I can't even remember the last time I had something that's not egg benny or smashed avo. Will definitely comeback to try more!
We dropped in on a Sunday morning and it was packed! Despite that we were able to get a seat fairly quickly. It did take a while to flag down a staff member to take our orders and we had to follow up due to a missing coffee, however the staff were very friendly and helpful. I had the breakfast board, which despite its appearance was a large meal. I thought it was well balanced and enjoyed it. We will be returning soon to try out their other dishes!
This place is actually bigger than I thought. We were greeted by a staff member as soon as we got to the door and got us a seat right away.
The foods were decent. I prefer the sliders than the tacos. Though, the Matcha powder separates from the milk so I do not recommend it.

Cute little cafe in Nunawading, it's my go to close cafe for brunch with friends! Been here multiple times and will keep coming. On my last two visits I've had the zucchini fritters and fruit salad bowl! Both delicious and loving the new renovation with sound proofing the dining area!

You’re not likely to walk past this local corner café. Among the green gardens of Springfield Street, Peddler Café fits into the décor with its green tiles, Bobo school chairs and glass jars of brown sugar. The locals, call it their local too, with residents from near by enticed for the coffee, food and relaxed atmosphere.

Nunawading is such a busy area, the Peddler is able to keep the pace by dishing out great cafe cuisine with a HUGE menu! I couldn't believe how good the coffee here was, I had to go back and ask the Barista what the beans were! Definitely coming back :)
This place was super nice. We went on Saturday at around 12, and didn’t have to wait. The food came out within about 10-15 minutes, and the service was really friendly and patient. With most brunch places, the servings are small, but here they are definitely a very good size that will definitely fill you up enough.
The Toblerone pancakes were so good. The breakfast board was probably my least favourite dish of the 3 as the avo smash had a lot of lemon juice in it (ended up being quite sour), and the muesli was also quite sour. I would not recommend the breakfast board if you don’t like sour.
Overall though, a really nice place. I would definitely go back to try some other dishes.
Ordered the Acai bowl and hot chocolate and I must admit that the hype is real! There is a reason there is a line out the front of this place every weekend. The wait is definately worth it!
We LOVE coming to The Peddler, have been many times and the service and food is consistently amazing. We always look at the specials because there's always something exciting on offer. The baked eggs are spot on, plenty of flavour and nice, crusty bread to dip in. The coffees are great too, this is a real gem in the area!

A cosy cafe tucked in suburban Nunawading. Love the food here...we had the Brioché French Toast, Porridge, Mushroom Risotto and Kids’ Pancake. Mushroom risotto was excellently done, love the French Toast and porridge too. The only one which was average was probably the pancake which we found to be a bit thick and dense, rather than light and fluffy. Could be crowded during weekends but nevertheless a lovely place to have your weekend brunch!

Well this place is the bomb ! It has everything - great food, great service, great coffee and a feel good buzz. We can’t wait to try everything on the menu and all the cakes in the counter. The gluten free range is diverse and delicious. No wonder it’s so popular.
First impressions: A couple of ants on the table. Small, but cute place. Great choice on the menu. Decided on the Porridge on the special menu and the watermelon, apple and mint juice.
Second impressions: Our food was quick to come out considering the place was full. The juice is refreshing. The porridge was absolutely delicious; full of great flavours, good portion size and plated really nicely.
Overall: Cute place and very nice food. It’s gets very busy inside and started getting pretty loud while we were finishing our food, but you can’t fault them for that. Looks to be an interesting collection of cakes and they look good to try. Will definitely be back to try the “Mushroom” or the Fritters.

Great local cafe with nice street frontage. This is my local cafe which I try and get to as often as possible. A medium coffee costs $4.30 and is always very good quality. Friendly service. Good prices. Kids love the milkshakes. The 'Campfire Eggs' are a known hangover killer. Busy all week long is always an indication of a quality cafe.
Ordered the Acai Bowl and the Taco's (2 people, 2 orders) Both were sensational and were perfectly portioned.
Venue had a good vibe to it and the staff were knowledgeable and friendly.

We love the peddler, always greeted with a smile. They just launched a new menu we thought we had to try. The Toblerone pancakes are pretty fine and french toast is so thick and fluffy. We're lucky this is a local and always producing the good ( returning customer )

having driven by this cafe a week ago , wondering why there was a log jam of people and cars surrounding what used to be a very ordinary shopping strip, I took the opportunity to drop in and pick up a take away coffee as a tester. Again very busy, ordered my usual dirty chai and took it back to my car. Perfect temperature, perfect milk, perfect strength. Took a quick peek at the menu and with all of the usual breakfast/lunch fare will def. be back to try their food.
My sis needed to buy something from Brandsmart, so i thought it would be good to try this place. Im sure glad she enjoys shopping hahah! The mocha i ordered was yum. The french toast i had that has banana in it was glorious to look at and very yum! The fritters my sis ordered was yum too! The service was really good too! I really like this place!

UPDATE I was invited along to Peddler today and I have to say it was worlds apart from my first experience. There has clearly been a rapid improvement in the year since my original visit. We thoroughly enjoyed the chicken taco special, açai smoothie, watermelon and mint juice and delicious lamb dish. We also tried the French toast but my favourite was definitely the lamb. Full of flavour and cooked to perfection.
I’m kicking myself we ordered so much as we didn’t have the opportunity to try their amazing looking house made sweets. The banana bread and chocolate brownie are definitely on the list for next time. Oh and if you are a caffeine lover extra points for their large coffee as it was the size of my head
A pancake special that wasn't so special for me. The Peddler was recommended to me as a local gem but this was nowhere near a South Yarra brunch standard in my opinion. Nothing wrong with the dish in terms of taste or texture but it lacked creativity and was something I could easily have whipped up myself. There are so many more innovative options out there (and not just in the inner city)

I was delighted to be invited along to sample the new menu at The Peddler Cafe. We arrived relatively early at 9:30 on a gloomy rainy day but the place was still packed out so grabbed a couple of spots on the bench looking out to the world.
Peddler bakes it’s own stuff in house (so rare these days) so all the muffins and brownies you see are packed with authenticity.
We firstly ordered coffee and tea and then decided to try out a selection of items from the specials board and the regular menu. Coffee was very drinkable and tea came out with a delightful pastel pot.
We chose the pulled chicken tacos, the watermelon, apple and mint juice and the açai smoothie from the chefs specials and the dukkah spices lamb and the french toast from the regular.
The tacos were delicious but quite subtle in flavour as the jalapeño and spicy sauce was put on the side for you to add as your spice level dictated. This is great for those spice phobes out there. The lamb was a lovely dish. Plenty of garlic and s beetroot purée on soft pita. Lamb was cooked beautifully and this was my favourite dish.
I also enjoyed the french toast which was made from quite a dense spelt bread with banana, blueberries and double creamy goodness. Sweet and wonderfully presented.
Açai & Juice were also a delight so should consider moving these off the specials board and onto the permanent menu. We left Peddler feeling all the more cheerful having visited on this rainy day. Thanks so much for having us.

On a beautiful suburban road in Nunawading, tucked away in a little strip of shops you can find The Peddler on the corner, with lots of outdoor tables and indoor ones as well. When we arrived all staff greeted us and were very friendly and helpful. For drinks, we ordered a latte and the berry smoothie. The coffee was great, and the smoothie was delicious - reminded me of boysenberry ice cream! Not too gritty as berry smoothies can sometimes me. I ordered the Breakfast Board which is on the specials however I was advised by staff that it may soon be a permanent fixture! It was great, came with a little orange juice, toast with smashed avocado, a poached egg with dukkah spice and halloumi, and finally a beautiful big glass of muesli and yoghurt with fruit. It was definitely one of the best breakfast boards I’ve had - really generous and a very good price point. We also ordered the Belgian Waffles, and wow, they were amazing! They came with mascarpone, fresh berries, meringue kisses, berry coulis and macadamia crumb. They were not dry at all - nice and fluffy and so many lovely treats on the side, no mouthful was the same! Highly recommend a visit to this gorgeous little rustic cafe, you won’t be disappointed! 😊

Quick coffee visit to this pleasant cafe. Nice street corner set up. Alert, up and about staff. I was served quickly and efficiently. My long mac didn’t look so great but tasted superb. This place felt good. I’ll return here for breakfast at some point.
Got the #mushroom and it was amazing! The flavours really worked together with the side mushroom duxelle and onion jam!! I also got a side of homemade baked beans and honestly the best beans I've had. The hot chocolate glasses were also larger than expected.

Met with my work colleagues for breakfast here this week. Service was quick and friendly. I had poached eggs with bacon. Both perfectly cooked. Coffee was also very good. Lots of regulars came in during the short time we were there which is a good sign.

I don't know why this cafe is so popular, I guess there are no other competitors nearby. To start off, cappuccino is not up to standard, no foam and no taste of coffee. I have been here a few times due to the location and that it is in the entertainment book, and coffee has never been good so stay away from coffee. The juices are alright but then again pretty hard to go wrong with the juices.
Food wise, it is on the average side, nothing impressive and nothing too disappointing. I had smashed avocado today and it was just what you would expect; avo on toast with some fetta; average. I have once had their special which was a green tea waffle with no taste of green tea whatsowever but not on the menu anymore so not worth commenting.
It gets very very busy here so if you wanna spend time to chat and relax, don't come here. If you're in for an express lunch/breakfast then yeah it's ok and acceptable. However it's not a place that I would come without the discount, just so many other cafes that offer better food for around the same price but not as noisy.
This place could be the best cafe east of Box Hill. It has been consistently good for the past 3-4 years. This week I had a great Thai calamari salad and a long black.
It's easy to see why this place is so popular with the locals and in fact, everyone. This is our fourth time here and every time we've been here, we've never been disappointed. This time, I fell in love with the Campfire baked eggs with butter beans - warm earthy flavours with a hint of chilli served with sourdough bread- best I've tasted so far. My partner was very happy with his roasted eggplant ciabatta. Overall a very satisfying meal with rich flavours and generous portion size. I'd be back soon!

The pancake special was a great combination of flavours.
I had the baked egg, really delicious and filling. The sauce was nice and rich, plenty of chorizo and beans. The serve size was big as well, no skimping on the ingredients. My mum had the smashed avo with tomatoes on rye, again a decent size serving, she rated it well but had difficulty cutting the big slices of bread. We both had nice mango smoothies, but I think it was mostly a syrup flavour rather than actual mango which was a bit disappointing, but still nice.
Only loss of rating was due to the bathroom, the floor was drenched with water, maybe the basin had a leak. Otherwise great breakfast joint, 10/10 for food and service was prompt even though it was quite busy, obviously a popular place with the locals and I can see why!
The Peddler Cafe is my new favourite little spot out here. The perfect balance of a homely, comforting feel in the decor but matched with a menu that packs a definite modern punch. If you're up for something sweeter, their waffles with a fruit medley and berry coulis will definitely tickle your fancy. Or opt for their banana fuelled spin on french toast, a dish so big you'll want to share it with your fellow diners. For those leaning more toward a lunch meal, the pulled pork sliders, with the perfect amount of spice will definitely be up your alley. Burger fan? Peddler have you covered too, their huge beef burger won't have you hungry for long.
Definitely check this spot out when you're next heading east of the city!

Tucked away in Nunawading, The Peddler cafe is your perfect spot for brunch, with a wide variety of classic dishes and also a few with their own special twist which make for great eating. The drinks are also top notch, great coffees and plenty of different juices to choose from. The staff are super friendly and they also have some nice cakes/pastries to take away before you head home!
Very nice, cute little spot, lovely staff and great food. The place has had a bit of a facelift with new signage and a bit of a paint. Parking is not the greatest be careful not to cop a fine in the timed parking areas, and be patient going during peak lunch times as you’ll have to wait a moment for a seat. Other than that, we love going in for a late breakfast. Their eggs are the BEST in town. Lovely orange and buttery taste. We just recently tried their Waffle and Maple Bacon Eggs Benedict! Very sweet and would have loved more hollondaise as it was to die for. Great serving sizes. We are regular orderers of their calamari salad and their lovely juice mixes.

This cafe is located off a quiet suburban road corner. Coffee is good and seating is comfortable. I ordered a campfire eggs for lunch, a very good choice. Serving size is generous, and most important, it tastes good. Will definitely come back to try other dishes.
I came here with a group of 9 for my birthday last Sunday. The staff were welcoming, very accomodating for our vegan diners and had plenty of options for everyone. Obsessed with the coffee here! Definitley one of the best cups in the area. I even got a free delicious muffin with a birthday candle on it, very sweet.
Visited here after a friend came here and got the Belgian waffles! What can I say, the service was fast & the food come out hot for the campfire baked eggs and cold for the waffles.

Visited for brunch on a weekday. Got a seat by the window which was perfect for photos. Staff were friendly, greeted us right away, and were prompt to get our order. Food came relatively quick. We had:
1) The Superfood Salad (with chicken for extra $3.50) - A mountain heap serving, very generous. Loved how fresh all the salad greens and veggies tasted. Would have been better had there been more dressing and more oomph in flavour.
2) Campfire (Baked) Eggs - This looked and tasted amazing. Such a perfect meal for winter. It was a big serving too. A vegetarian option without the bacon and chorizo could be a possible future menu add on :p
3) Belgian Waffle - The waffle was buttery and crisp. The mascapone added the creamy element and thankfully there was tang from the berries for some relief after all that creamy sweetness. The walnut crumb was good too. Loved having that little crunch in there.
4) Special of the Day: Pan-fried Barramundi with asparagus and potato. The fish was cooked perfectly but was a bit small in serving size. The buttery sauce was a bit heavy for what could have been a very light and refreshing dish.

Food was great overall, we had Mushroom which was perfect, perfect serving size, combination of flavours is on point.
Pulled pork slider on the other hand was not as great, buns were dry, pork didn't taste fresh and it's a little too sweet for my liking

Rustic style cafe with exposed beams and a fireplace. Cosy and family atmosphere that feels really comfy. Staff were friendly and attentive, helping to get people seated as quickly as possible. It was absolutely packed and hard to get a table during peak brunch time on a Sunday. There's outdoor seating as well, but would only be usable in the warmer months. All the dishes were really well presented. Especially the waffles, which are very colourful and pretty. I had the smashed avocado and it was really good with a basil sauce that brought a great flavour. Nice and fresh, well seasoned, and bacon was cooked really well. I swapped the dark dye for sourdough, which they were happy to do. Family friendly. I believe they take bookings and it would be suitable for a big group. Will be back.
All positive apart from they need a bigger venue.
Tried to go on the Saturday morning but was absolutely overflowing so we returned a bit earlier on Sunday. Got the spiced lamb and pulled pork slider special, cannot fault anything at all, tasted great , came out in good time and my coffees were above average, just a bit cramped, all in all will head there again.
Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Slow cooked pork is amazing, juicy and tender. Nice porched eggs. Perfect coffee and excellent matcha smoothie.
This place was busting with people waiting for tables. We had a confirmed booking (just) and were seated quickly and asked if we wanted coffees. We then had about ten minutes until we could catch an eye of someone to take our order. With the amount of staff they had on this was surprising but they didn’t seem to zone the area well for staff which is probably why there was poor service in this area. The food was delicious. Decent prices, comparable with other eateries and substantial quantities for price. I’d definitely go back and you should definitely give it a go.
Nice cafe in an easily accessible location, usually busy on mornings but has a nice atmosphere and staff still manage to deliver service and serve food at a decent pace.
Strongly recommend booking a table as this cafe fills up! Tried the camp fire eggs and sweet potato breakfast dish - both delicious. Really good coffee too. A little too hectic for my liking but would still go back.

Ordered waffle for the kids. Very happy that they place it in 2 different plates. Easy for the kids to eat.
Baked beans w bread was the best I think.
Poached egg w avocado was just ok.
Would want to come back to try other menus.

A lovely more established rustic cafe situated by the corner of Springfield Rd and Evandale Ave.
Visited during a busy afternoon, the place was still not overwhelming and had good space and seating capacity to accommodate individuals to larger communal of customers.
A kind note to the friendly gentleman there who readily made us feel welcomed and served us well.
Thoroughly enjoyed the meal experience here. The menu served up the usual cafe fare and more. The #Mushroom was delicious, literally packed with what else?.... mushrooms! Coffee served was nice and strong too.
Great place for a breakfast or brunch get together, it's also one of the dining establishments listed in the Entertainment book.

I love this café. I've come here on a number of occasions and it never fails to satisfy. It may be small but it packs a punch. It was busy the day we had lunch here but the noise level isn't noticeable, acoustics are great and having a conversation is so easy. The staff are lovely and look like they really enjoy their jobs. They're interactive and know how to have a joke with you. I ordered the sweet potato breakfast as I believe sweet potatoes is one of the best food staples ever, (if you're having a bad day, eat some sweet potato and it will instantly be better) and it was just delicious. The poached eggs were perfect and the seasoning of duka with the fetta cheese and rocket just made me want to engulf every mouth full. Coffee was great also. No question that I'll be back again
Thanks for a lovely Mothers Day lunch. The staff were attentive and helpful. Well priced and the food was great. We really enjoyed the Beef Burger, Waffles and Poached Eggs and Bacon. They handled the busyness so well & we can't wait to come back for more chips!!! Thanks....
We chose one of the specials. This was fab-u-lous! Pork belly banh mi... need I say more? Well, in the interests of impressing upon you how delicious it was, I do! A lot of places serve pork belly but I find it's often not quite as good as I had hoped it to be. But this was sublime. A nice fat-to-meat ratio, the fat was utterly melt-in-your-mouth while the meat itself was fall-apart tender. The marinade was a perfect salty-sweet balance. And as you can see, they weren't skimpy with the pork - there were a good number of porky chunks in the bun. The finely shredded cabbage was sharp and tart - a great foil to the richness of the pork. The bun itself was toasted which added a great crunch to the dish. Utterly. Moreish.
love this cafe! super super friendly staff, delicious food. it can get abut loud inside but i guess that depends on what day and time you go. outside area is super lovey! not the cutest cafe but the food, atmosphere and friendly staff make up for it. the food is relatively healthy but not the healthiest. overall fab cafe, worth going to!
We were here on a weekday morning. So, the place was quiet and calm. The atmosphere and the view were very enjoyable. We ordered Campfire eggs and Smashed avocado. Both were fine, I would have probably changed couple of things in both meals, but overall an enjoyable breakfast. I also liked the coffee. I would go back for sure.
Peddler Cafe is situated in a nice suburbian spot with indoor and outdoor seating available. We went on a weekend, no booking was required. Service was good, we ordered the Corn Fritters and burger with chips.
Amazing service at Peddler Cafe. We wanted an outdoor table and there wasn't one due to another booking for 18. They eventually rejiggled some of the tables to make room for us. Food & coffee was also fantastic - will be back!
Tried baked eggs, schnitzel burger, bao bao and thai salad and they were all amazing. Baked eggs is the best I have had. Coffee is not too bad.
Coffee not hot enough and on cold Nov day nor is the room (pity the fire wasn’t lit).

Beautiful indoor dining area. The coffee is delicious and so is the food. Ordered the chicken burger and calamari salad. Both were well flavoured and of a decent portion size. Recommend dining here.

Brunch scenes are back in Melbourne!
My weekend brunch was at a quaint cafe at Nunawading @thepeddler_cafe that was buzzing with the local, regular, and first time visitor crowds on a Saturday morning.
We started off with a large cup of latte and the aroma of freshly ground coffee made us feel so positive and happy.
Followed by two thick, creamy and refreshing berry and mango smoothies.
Next we had the famous Biscoff pancakes and being a @lotusbiscoffau fan, I completely approve and strongly recommend this dessert brunch dish that's not too sweet yet enough to make you enjoy the biscoff flavors with the vanilla icecream, honey, fresh fruits, berries and the nice and soft pancakes.
From savoury side, we couldn't give the Waffle Bene a miss as the classic eggs Benedict was served on a waffle, and the combo of it, was immensely delicious and flavorsome.
At last, we had the best of best brunch dish at this place and that's called Bao Bao, tender, juicy pork with pickles, mayo inside soft baos served with shredded carrot and pickled ginger. Such a fantastic creation and it was so addictive and delectable that I'm definitely gonna head back soon to have this dish one more time.
Although on the weekends, the place remains packed still it's worth the wait for a table, as their service is literally super fast, with an amazing and a helpful team of staff, who will serve you with a smile and cater to all your requirements. The menu has so many wide range of brunch dishes with both GF and VF options besides being affordable.

During Autumn on a Sunday morning when the weather is perfect, sitting outside for a coffee n breakfast is a delightful experience. The staff serving outside was very welcoming and took our order quickly. The coffee is one of the best in Melbourne. Breakfast portion is quite decent. The interior looks very well decorated. Service was fast even during peak hours.
Highly recommended for the service and the quality of the food n Cafe.
